This paper studies the problem of determining the optimal standard product sizes minimizing the loss function, which is composed of demand distribution and preference functions. The customer who wants to buy the product of size x in the range x_(i-x)<x<x_i may purchase the product of size u_i. Size u_i represents the standard product size which covers the interval (x_(i-1), x_i). Purchasing desire decreases as the difference between a customer's requirement(x) and the standard product size(u_i) increases. The standard product sizes u_i and the range limits x_i can be determined so as to minimize the loss function.

Purge & Trap-GC를 이용한 의약품 필름코팅 정제 중 잔류용제에 관한 연구

의약품은 약물을 생체에 적풋하기 위하여 유효성분의 효과가 언제나 일정하게 확보되고 사응에 편리하도록 만들어지는 것이므로 유효썽분 이외에 약효에 영향을 주지 않는 성분이 첨가되는 경운가 많다. 이 때 사용되는 용매들은 제피의 광택 및 건쪼시간의 단축 등을 위하여 휘발점이 낮을 용매들이 주로 사용되어진다. 본 연구는 의약품 필름코팅정제 중 잔류용매 4종(chlorofonr benzen, trichloro ethylen, 1,4-dioxane)에 대한 변형된 pirge & trap-GC 장치를 이용한 동시분석방법을 개발하였으며, 각 표준품의 RSD 값은 chloroform 3.03%, benzen 3.17%, trichloroethylen 3.69% and 1,4-dioxane 3.41%였다. 또한 시중 유통중인 의약품 50종에 대하여 잔류웅매 양을 측정하였으며, 검출되는 잔류용매는 한 건도 없었다. This study nras carried out to develope the analytical method for the mixture of chlorefonn, benzen, trichloroethylen and 1,4-dioxane simultaneously and determine the remainingorgauic solvents in coating tablets by Purge & Trap-GC. The results were as follouFs ; 1. Chloroform, benzen, trio:tloroethylen and 1,4-dioxane separated by tenax #5 trap by HP-624GC column by terrlperature programming. The peaks were separated completely at retentiontime of 6.88min for chloroform, 8.21min for benzen, 10.38miu for trichloroethylen and 11.95minfor 1,4-dioxane. 2. Standard RSD were individually chloroform 3.03%, benzen 3.17%, trichloroethylen 3.69%and 1,4-diorane 3.41%. 3. 60 samples were not detrcted chloroform, benzen, trichloroethylen and 1,4-dioxane.

한우에 있어 황토 첨가급여가 면역기능에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 한우 육성우에 대한 황토 첨가급여가 항병성에 미치는 효과를 구명하고자 혈액성상변화를 규명한바 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 대조구 및 처리구에서 전체적인 혈액성상의 변화는 없었으나 백혈구수치가 대조구 및 처리구에서 각각 15.35K/㎕ 및 13.37K/㎕이였으며, 적혈구에 있어서도 정상수치인 5~10M/㎕보다 대조구 10.03M/㎕, 처리구 11.35M/㎕로 모두 높은 수치를 보였다. 황토첨가에 따른 혈액성상의 변화는 처리간에 유의한 차이는 보이지 않았다. The study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplements of reddish clay on the immunity of growing Hanwoo steers. A total of 8 calves were divided into 2 feeding groups, control(basal diet) and treatment(basal diet plus ad libitu reddish clay) for Hanwoo steers. This study was carried out for 5 months using 8 calves. The results obtained by the present study are summarized as follows : The proportion of WBC, NE as well as LY(15.35, 6.85, 6.86K/??) was higher in the control group than in the Reddish clay-supplemented group. But no statistical differences were found in blood substances among treatment calves.

This paper deal with a method of detecting localized defects on taper roller bearing in main spindle of machine tool system. The statistical parameters in time-domain signal processing techniques have been calculated to extract useful features from bearing vibration signals. Emloying these features, the statiscical parameters have been established to detect defects on the rollers of bearings, respectively, and used by the input feature of an artificial neural nerwork. As a result that the proposed bearing defects monitoring system could be successfully performed by using the statistical parameters of acceleration signals.

Usefulness of Post-bronchoscopy Sputum Culture for the Diagnosis of Nontuberculous Mycobacterial Pulmonary Disease

Background Bronchoscopy is recommended for suspected non-tuberculous mycobacteria pulmonary disease (NTM-PD) if sputum culture Results are consistently negative or adequate sputum samples cannot be obtained. The aim of this study is to assess the role of post-bronchoscopy sputum in improving diagnostic accuracy for patients with suspected NTM-PD who underwent bronchoscopy. Methods Patients with suspected NTM-PD who underwent bronchoscopy for diagnosis from January 1st, 2017 to June 30th, 2020 at Seoul National University Hospital were included for analysis. Patients were classified into the sputum culture negative group or the scanty sputum group. Results of mycobacterial culture from bronchial washing specimen and post-bronchoscopy sputum were compared between two groups. Results 141 patients were included in the analysis. 39 patients were classified into the sputum culture negative group and 102 patients into the scanty sputum group. NTM was cultured from bronchial washing specimen in 38.3% (54/141) of all patients; 30.7% (12/39) of patients in sputum culture negative group and 41.2% (42/102) of patients in scanty sputum group (P=0.345). NTM was exclusively cultured from post-bronchoscopy sputum in 3.5% (5/141) patients; 7.7% (3/39) patients in sputum culture negative group and 2.0% (2/102) of patients in scanty sputum group (P = 0.255). Conclusions In patients with suspected NTM-PD who have negative Results from sputum NTM culture or scanty sputum, post-bronchoscopy sputum could play a minor role in improving diagnostic accuracy in NTM-PD.

프로스포츠 세계에 있어서 자유계약 제도가 전 세계에 영향을 주고 있다. 프로스포츠 산업계는 매출증가, 선수연봉 인상, 팬 출석증가 등을 경험하고 있다. 선수들의 법적, 경제적 이익은 그들이 뛰고 싶은 곳에서 뛰고 선수대리인을 통해 연봉협상을 할 수 있다. 그러나 자유계약은 자연스럽게 생긴 것이 아니다. 선수들이 이런 새롭고 더 나은 단체교섭의 합의에 이르기 까지는 그들은 많은 법적 소송을 제기해야 했다. 본 연구에서는 세계에서 규모가 가장 크고 자본이 가장 많은 두 개의 스포츠 리그인 메이저리그와 미식축구에서 통용되고 있는 자유계약 제도의 발전에 대해 자세히 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 자유계약이 프로스포츠에 미치는 법적, 경제적, 사회적 영향을 분석해 보았다. 보류조항, 조건부 청약, 선수대리인과 같은 개념들을 소개하고 검토하였다. 프로스포츠 클럽을 운영하는 많은 나라에서는 자유계약을 통해 경기 관객 수의 증가와 경기에 대한 관심의 증가는 물론이고 이 제도를 돈 벌이로 활용해 왔다. 자유계약 제도의 등장 때문에 프로스포츠 업계에는 노동문제로서의 파업과 라이벌 정신의 쇠퇴 같은 부정적인 영향도 존재한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 자유계약 제도가 프로스포츠 클럽과 선수들 간의 가장 적합한 모델인지 분석하고 다른 변화가 필요한지 논의 할 것이다. Free agency has impacted professional sports all over the world. The professional sports industry has seen an increase in revenue, player salary increase, fan attendance increases and more. The legal and economic benefit to players is that they can play where they want to and they can negotiate how much they make through their player agents. However, free agency did not just come about. There were legal actions taken by players to bring about this new and better part of the collective bargaining agreement. I will take a closer look at the development of free agency through the world’s two largest and lucrative leagues – Major League Baseball and the National Football League. Furthermore, this article will try to analyze the legal, economic, and social impacts free agency has on professional sports. Concepts such as reserve clauses, qualifying offers, player agents will be introduced and examined. Many countries with professional sports clubs use free agency to boost attendance figures, interest in the game, of course to make money. With the prevalence of free agency impacting sports there have been definite downsides such as labor disputes and the disappearance of rivalries. This study will analyze and discuss whether free agency is the most appropriate model in creating a balance between professional sports clubs and the players and whether other changes should be adopted.

Effect of Poly(Lactide-Co-Glycolide) Nanoparticles on Local Retention of Fluorescent Material: An Experimental Study in Mice

<P><B>Objective</B></P><P>Poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) nanoparticles are promising materials for the development of new drug-releasing systems. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the <I>in vivo</I> retention time of materials loaded in nanoparticles as compared with that of the material alone by <I>in vivo</I> imaging in nude mice.</P><P><B>Materials and Methods</B></P><P>Mice (n = 20) were injected with 0.1 mL fluorescent material 1,1′-dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′ tetramethylindotricarbocyanine iodide (DiR)-loaded PLGA nanoparticles (200 nm) into the right paraspinal muscle, and the same volume of pure DiR solution was injected into the left paraspinal muscle. Fluorescence images were obtained using an <I>in vivo</I> optical imaging system. Fluorescent images were taken 1 day after the injection, and seven more images were taken at 1-week intervals. Image analysis was done with ImageJ program, and one region of interest was chosen manually, which corresponded to the highest signal-intensity area of fluorescence signal intensity.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>After 7 weeks, 12 mice showed a right-sided dominant signal, representing the DiR loaded PLGA nanoparticles; 5 mice showed a left-side dominant signal, representing the free DiR solution; and 3 mice showed no signal at all beginning 1 day after the injection. During the 7-week period, the mean signal intensities of the free DiR solution and DiR-loaded PLGA nanoparticles diverged gradually. On day 1, the mean signal intensity of free DiR solution was significantly higher than that of DiR-loaded PLGA (<I>p</I> < 0.001). Finally, by week 7, DiR-loaded PLGA express significantly high signal intensity compared with free DiR solution (<I>p</I> = 0.031).</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>The results of the current study suggested that therapeutic agents bound to PLGA nanoparticles may exhibit prolonged retention times.</P>

The Stewardship Code as the Criteria for Institutional Investors’ Exercise of Voting Rights

스튜어드십 코드가 최초로 발달한 영국은 개인투자자의 비중이 감소하고 기관투자자의 비중이 압도적으로 높아졌음에도 불구하고, 기관투자자들이 기업에 대한 감시기능을 제대로 수행하지 않음으로써 발생하는 기업지배구조상의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 스튜어드십 코드를 도입하였다. 반면 우리나라의 경우 아직도 개인투자자의 비중이 상대적으로 높은 반면 기업의 순환출자로 인하여 소수의 지분을 갖는 대주주가 기업을 지배함으로 인하여 발생하는 지배구조 문제가 더 심각한 실정이다. 영국에서 발달한 스튜어드십 코드를 우리나라도 도입하였는데 양국의 기업환경 차이를 인식하고 그 도입이 어떤 영향을 미칠지 신중하게 검토하여야 할 것이다. 스튜어드십 코드를 도입하는 경우 투자대상기업(investee company)의 지속적 성장을 촉진하고, 기관투자자의 고객과 수익자의 중장기적 투자수익의 확대를 도모하는 스튜어드십 코드 모델이 우리나라 상황에 바람직하다고 생각한다. 스튜어드십 코드에 참여한다는 것은 쉽게 말하면 고객에게 최선을 다하겠다는 다짐이다. 연기금 같은 고객이나 수익자에게 믿음을 주고, 이를 사업에 활용할 여지도 충분하다. 스튜어드십 코드의 도입이 우려나 부담이 없지는 않겠지만 코드 가입에 대한 기관투자자들의 전략적이고 현명한 판단을 기대한다. 본고는 기관투자자의 의결권 행사기준으로서 스튜어드십 코드에 관한 연구의 결과를 소개하였다. 스튜어드십 코드의 정신은 기업의 투명경영을 위한 기관투자자의 적극적 의결권 행사를 요구하는 것이다. 기업을 감시함으로서 기업으로 하여금 지배구조를 건전하게 하고 주주들의 이익을 확보하게 하는데 그 의의가 있다. In the United Kingdom, where the stewardship code was first developed, the proportion of individual investors decreased and the proportion of institutional investors increased overwhelmingly. However, it was introduced to solve the problem of corporate governance caused by the failure of institutional investors to monitor corporations properly. Korea on the other hand, the share of individual investors is still relatively high, while the governance problem caused by large shareholders holding a small number of shares by the company’s circular shareholding due to a handful of major shareholders that have caused corporate governance problems is more serious. Therefore, in introducing the stewardship code developed in the UK into Korea, we should recognize the different business environment between the two countries and carefully review the introduction and implementation. Even if the stewardship code was introduced, Japan’s stewardship code model, which promotes the continued growth of investee companies and promotes mid-to-long-term ROI of clients and beneficiaries of institutional investors, is more desirable. Participating in the stewardship code is simply a commitment to its customers. It is enough to give trust to customers or beneficiaries like pension funds and to use them for businesses. We do not have to worry or be burdened, but we should expect institutional investors to make strategic and wise judgments on code subscription.
