(E)-γ-히드록시-α,β-불포화 슬폰과 니트릴의 합성

β,γ-에폭시슬폰과 β,γ-에폭시느트릴을 -78℃에서 THF를 용매로 LDA를 사용하여 탈 양성자-제거반응을 유도하면 선택적으로(E)-히드록시-α, β-불포화 니트릴을 좋은 수율로 각각 얻을 수 있었다. Deprotection-elimination of β, γ-epoxy sulfone and β, γ-epoxy nitrile with LDA in THF at -78℃ afforded (E)-γ-hydroxy-α, β-unsaturated sulfone and (E)-γ-hydroxy-α, β-unsaturated nitrile in good yields, respectively.

Geo-Spatial Information is divided into positional information and attribute information. Up to now, positioning has been fixed by triangulation, traverse surveying and astronomy surveying. Also, satellites are used in position fixing. Road information can be obtained consecutively along the roads. Digitizing from existing maps has been used in obtaining road information. But the roads in existing maps cannot be updated rapidly. Therefore, it is difficult to get informations about new construction roads. This study concentrates on the method of how to use GPS data in the obtaining of road information. There were some errors in comparing the real roads in scale 1:5,000. The errors are caused by the narrow sight angle of satellites.

천연물 합성에서 출발물질로 유용하게 쓰이는 디아세톤 글루코스 헥소퓨라노스고리의 산화와 입체선택적 변형에 관하여 연구하였다. 이 고리의 C-3위치에 있는 히드록시기를 Trifluoroacetic anhydride(TFAA)로 사용하여 케토기로 산화시키는 방법을 연구한 후 얻어진 C-3 위치에 케톤에 대해 Grignard반응과 Wittig반응을 도입하여 퓨라노스고리의 C-3위치에 입체 선택적으로 치환기를 유도하는 방법을 연구하였다. 또한 고리밖의 곁가지의 변형도 아울러 연구하였다. We have studied on the oxidation and the stereoselective modifications of the hexofuranose ring derived from diacetone glucose. We have attempted the method of the oxidation with trifluoroacetic anhydride (TFAA) on the C-3 position of this furanose ring. On the other hand, we have induced the stereoselective substrate on the keto group of the C-3 position. The modifications of the side chain out of the ring have been also studied.

촉매량의 Pd(0)존재하의 chiral allylic 그리고 dienylic 고리 카보네이트와 여러 가지 친핵성 치환체들의 치환 반응을 연구하였는데 이 치환 반응은 친핵체에 따라서 α-, γ-, 또는 ε-위치에 치환된 높은 위치 및 diastereoselection이 있는 반응임을 알았고 또한 이의 입체화학을 결정하였다. We studied the reactions of chiral allylic and dienylic cyclic carbonates with various nucleophiles in the presence of Pd(0)catalyst and found that substitution occurred at α-, γ-, ε-position with high regio-and diasteroselectirity depending on nucleophiles used.
Comparative AFLP Profiles among Strains of Korean Races of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae.

We used an amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) analysis, a novel PCR-based technique, to differentiate Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) of Korean races. The 6 strains of Xoo K1, K2, K3 races were tested with 81 AFLP primer combinations to identify the best selective primers. The primer combinations were selected according to their reproducibility, number of polymorphic bands and polymorphism detected among Xoo strains. 18 strains of Xoo K1, K2 and K3 races were analyzed with the selected combinations of primer set. Some primer combinations (Eco R I +1 / Mse I+1) could differentiate Xoo of Korean races that were not distinguished by other fingerprinting analysis. Thus AFLP fingerprinting permitted very fine discrimination among different races.

Palldium(Ⅱ) 촉매 하에서의 말단 알릴 디올의 고리 카보네이트와 아세토니드의 산화반응은 anti-Markovnikov hydation에 의해 알데히드 또는 α,β-불포화 알데히드 만이 생성되었다. 치환된 알릴 디올의 분자내 이중 결합의 반응으로는 (E)-알릴 디올의 경우에 β-케토 생성물을, 반면에 (Z)-알릴디올의 경우엔 α-케토 생성물을 얻을 수 있었다. 치환된 알릴 디올의 고리 카보네이트와 아세토니드에서는 각각 β-케토 화합물과 α,β-케토 화합물 들이 생성되었다. Palladium(Ⅱ)-Catalyzed oxidation of acetonides or cyclic carbonates of terminal allylic diols afforded aldehydes or α,β-unsaturated aldehydes as the sole products, resulting of anti-Markovnikov hydation. For the internal olefins of the substituted allylic diols, (E)-allylic diol provied β-keto-product, whereas (Z)-allylic diol affored α-keto-product. The acetonides and cyclic carbonates of the substituted allylic diols yielded β-keto-products and α,β-unsaturated ketones, respectively.

This research suggests a cutting force model for the ball end milling processes. This model includes the effect of tool run out and tool deflection. In the proposed model, the flutes of ball end mills are considered as series of infinitesimal elements and each cutting edge is assumed to be straight for the analysis of the oblique cutting process, in which the small cutting edge element as been analyzed as an orthogonal cutting process in the plane including the cutting velocity and the chip-flow vector. Therefore, the cutting forces can be calculated through the model using the orthogonal cutting data obtained from the orthogonal cutting test. In order to enhance the performance of the model, the flutes of ball end mill are defined to keep geometric consistency at the peak of the ball part and the junction with he end mill part. The divided infinitesimal cutting edges are regulated to be even lengths. Some experiments show the validity of the developed model in the various cutting conditions.
정신분열병 환자에서 가상현실을 이용한 추론과제 수행 중 활성화된 뇌영역과 현존감과의 관계 : 기능자기공명영상 연구

Objectives : Virtual reality has been increasingly used in the psychiatric field. Presence, the sense of “being there,” is an essential concept in terms of the effectiveness of the virtual reality. The present study aimed to investigate the characteristics of the presence-related brain regions in patients with schizophrenia. Methods : Using fMRI, brain activities were measured while performing the virtual reality tasks m fifteen healthy normal subjects and fifteen patients with schizophrenia. The tasks consisted of listening to some stories and inferring the content of the previous events. Ambiguous information was given for the experimental task, whereas clear information was given for the control task. Correlations between the image contrast values and the presence scores were analyzed. Result : The presence-related brain regions in healthy controls were identified in the two discrete region groups that could be referred to as the cognitive neural correlates and the perceptual neural correlates. The former included the anterior cingulate, the left inferior temporal gyrus, the right lingual gyrus, and the right cuneus, whereas the latter consisted of the right posterior cingulate, the left lingual gyrus and the right fusiform gyrus. Compared with healthy controls, regional correlation patterns were different in patients with schizophrenia, including that the posterior cingulate had significant correlations. Conclusion : These results suggest that patients with schizophrenia utilize perceptual apparatus for the presence more than the cognitive aspect. A peculiar pattern of the presence in schizophrenia may be related to increased correlations between the posterior cingulate and other brain regions.
