        Enterobacter sp. JE-1에 의한 Congo Red의 생분해

        The bacterial strain JE-1 degrading and utilizing Congo Red as a sole carbon source was isolated from dye-contaminated soil and identified as Enterobacter species. Enterobacter sp. JE-1 had the highest decolorization ability when it was cultured in the medium containing 0.05% NH_4NO_3, 0.05% K_2HPO_4 0.03% MgSO_4·7H_2O, 0.025% Congo Red, initial pH 7.0 at 30℃, respectively. Enterobacter sp. JE-1 had the relatively high substrate specificity. The dye decolorizing activity was exclusively extracellular. The expected metabolic intermediates of Congo Red by Enterobacter sp. JE-1 were analyzed by GC/MS. As a result, metabolic products like hexadecanoic acid, 1,2,3-triphenylcyclopropene, aliphatic hydrocarbons such as hexadecane, heptadecane, octadecane, hexacosane etc., and 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, dibutyl ester were detected. Benzidine did not detected.

      • 원유의 미생물적 유화

        Microorganisms producing bioemulsifier were isolated from the sea water in Pusan costal aera. The isolated strain which had the highest emulsification activity and stability was identified as the genus Acinetobacter from the results of morphological, cultural and biochemical tests and named Acinetobacter sp. EL-C6 for convinience. The compositions of optimum medium for emulsification of crude oil by Acinetobacter sp. EL-C6 were crude oil 2%, NH_4NO_3 0.2%, K_2HPO_4 0.01%, MgSO_4·7H_2O 1%, CaCl_2·2H_2O 0.1%, NaCl 3% and the initial pH 7.5. The cultivation for emulsification of crude oil was carried out in 500m1 shaking flask containing 100m1 of the optimum medium at 30℃. The highest emulsification was observed after 5 days. The utilization on the various hydrocarbon of the Acinetobacter sp. EL-C6 was showed that the utilization of n-alkane compounds were better than that of aromatic compounds. Among the petroleum compounds, by Acinetobacter sp. EL-06.

      • Pseudomonas sp. EL-041 LY와 Alcaligenes sp. EL-041 LW에 의한 Polyvinyl Alcohol의 분해에 관한 연구

        Twenty microorganisms capable of biodegradation of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) were isolated from the waste water by the enrichment culture technique. The strain which had the highest biodegradability was designated as EL-041 L in PVA minimal medium. The strain were found out to be symbiont composed of two kinds of bacteria from the results of pure isolation in nutrient plate and effect of surface area of plate of PAV medium. These isolated strains which had two different kinds of bacteria were designated as EL-041 LY and EL-041 LW. The results experimented on the identification of these isolated strains EL-041 LY and EL-041LW, on the growth characteristics and degradation rate of PVAs, on the oxidation test on PVA compounds and metabolic products formed from PVA by these isolated strains, were as follows. 1.These isolated strains EL-041 LY and EL-041 LW were identified as Pseudomonas and Alcaligenes from the results of bacteriological identification tests. These isolated strains were named temproarily Pseudomonas sp. EL-041 LY and Alcaligenes sp. EL-041 LW for convenience, respectively. 2.The optimal condition of medium for growth and degradation was observed as follows:the initial pH of medium was pH 7.5 ammonium nitrate 0.2% was selected for the source of nitrogen, PVA 0.2% was selected for the carbon source. The degradation rate of PVA 22000 was about 52.1%. Growth on the effect of PVA polymerization grade was showed that degradation rate of lowest PVA polymerization grade, PVA15000(300), was about 68%. The comparision of mixed and pure culture was showed that the one was optical density 0.72 growth rate at 660nm, the other was 0.17 growth rete. 3.Oxidation test was showed the most oxygen uptake to the PVA 100000 substrate of low growth rate. When oxygen uptake was compared with between resting cells of the grown on PVA medium and that of on PVA medium using 0.5% polypeptone as nitrogen and carbon source, only PVA-grown cell could oxidize PVA. This fact coincides with the result of effect of substrate of culture on PVA degradation and suggests that PVA is oxidatively degraded by PVA-grown cells. 4.On the thin layer chromatograph, the metabolic products formed from PVA 22000 by symbiont strains, EL-041L, used as sole carbon and energy soure, were suspected one acidic compounds containing carboxyl group the other alkalic compounds containing ketone group, but both not containing amine group.

        There is a rising hobby in the COVID-19 pandemic era. At this point, camping accidents are also occurring a lot as more people are camping in cars and outdoors. Most of the casualties among them are carbon monoxide poisoning accidents. Therefore, to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, we measured with an Arduino board using a "DHT22" sensor and an "MQ7" sensor to know temperature, humidity, and carbon monoxide levels, and then printed it out on LCD after storing it in Raspberry Pi database. Therefore, it is implemented through 3D printing on the appearance modeled directly to the actual user.

      • 정신분열증 입원환자에서 니코틴과 항정신병 약물의 상관관계 규명을 위한 니코틴 패취 적용 연구

        연구목적 : 정신분열증 환자는 흡연율이 높고, 그에 따라 항정신병 약물 투여량이 늘어나고, 약물에 의한부작용은 오히려 감소한다고 알려져 있다. 이러한 연구에서 방법론적 문제로는 실제 니코틴 용량을 측정하지 않았다는 점이다. 본 연구는 담배보다 니코틴의 주요 대사물인 코티닌을 측정하여 방법론적 오류를 최소화하고자 하였다. 방법 : 정신분열증으로 진단받은 입원환자 중 니코틴 패취군 8명, 대조군 8명을 설정하였다. 5일간 패취를 붙인 후 혈액에서 코티닌을 측정하였고, 정신증상의 정도를 알기 위하여 PANSS, 약물의 추체외로 부작용 측정을 위하여 ESRS를 실시하였다 일일 약물용량을 chlorpromazine 동량으로 환산하여 기록하였다. 결과 : 코티닌 수치와 정신증상, 추체외로부작용, 약물용량 사이에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론 : 코티닌은 항정신병 약물의 작용에 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 단, 향후 연구에서는 니코틴 패취의 양을 증량하여 사용하므로써, 코티닌 용량에 따라 항정신병 약물효과에 영향을 미칠 수 있는지를 검증해야 할 것이다.

      • 토양에서 분리한 Toluene 분해 세균의 동정 및 일부 특성

        경상남도 양산천 일대의 토양시료로 부터 toluene을 유일한 탄소원 및 에너지원으로 생육하는 미생물들을 분리하였고, 그 중 toluene의 분해능이 가장 우수한 균주를 선별하여 공시균으로 선택하였다. 공시균의 형태학적, 배양적, 생화학적 및 화학분류학적 제반 특성들을 토대로 분류학적 위치를 검토한 결과 Rhodococcus 속으로 동정되어 편의상 Rhodococcus sp. EL-43P로 명명하였다. Rhodococcus sp. EL-43P는 phenol 및 다양한 phenol 유도체, benzene 등의 방향족화합물 기질에서 생육할 수 있었다. 특히 phenol 분해에 관련된 각종 환경조건을 최적화시키면 실제의 phenol 함유 폐수처리공정에서 충분히 적용가능성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. Rhodococcus sp. EL-43P는 catechol 1,2-dioxygenase의 활성을 가지고 있어 ortho pathway에 의하여 phenol을 분해함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본 공시균은 toluene dioxygenase의 활성도 가지고 있었다. The microorganisms which degrade toluene as the sole and energy source were isolated from soil around Yangsan river. Among them, the strain EL-43P had the highest toluene degradability and identified as a Rhodococcus sp. according to morphological, cultural, biochemical and chemotaxonomical properties. Rhodococcus sp. EL-43P was able to grow at the various chlorinated phenols such as o-, p-chlorophenol, 2,3-,2,5-, 2,6- and 3,4-dichlorophenol, and benzene, respectively. If detailed phenol degradation conditions are established, the treatment of phenol wastewater using Rhodococcus sp. EL-43P would be possible. Rhodococcus sp. EL-43P had the catechol 1,2-dioxygenase which degrades Phenol derivatives by ortho pathway. This strain also had toluene dioxygenase.

        Both students and teachers recognize that Mathematics is a fundamental subject in education However, teaching the subject in an effective way is not an easy task. Teachers often face difficulty in leading students up to certain knowledge level. The reasons for such difficulty include different learning ability and diverse level of understanding the concept on students' part. For such reasons, some students lose their interest or give up the subject totally. The purpose of this study is to provided a CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction) program which is used for specializing course materials according to the level of each students. By stimulating students' interest through a CAI program, we expect to improve problem-solving ability of uninterested or unmotivated students.

        경안면 괴사성 근막염의 처치

        Necrotizing fasciitis is a rapidly progressive soft tissue infection with high mortality rates, characterized by diffus necrosos of fascia and subcutaneous tissue. It most commonly affects the abdominal wall, the perineum and the extermities, but head and neck involvement can occur. Patients often have an underlying systemic disease such as diabetes mellitus, alcoholism, malntrition or chronic renal failure. Successful management of this life-threatening condition requires early diagnosis, prompt institution of broad spectrum antibiotics and aggressive surgical intervention combined with supportive care such as airway maintenance anf hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We reviewed cervicofacial necrotizing fasciitis in Korea with our cases, and pathophysilogy, diagnisis and treatment of this patentially lethal entity were investigated.
