        임플란트 주위 조직 보존을 위한 임플란트 경부의 디자인에 관한 고찰

        연구 목적: 임플란트 식립 후 변연골 흡수에 따라 임플란트 주위 연조직이 재구성되며, 이에 따라 치료의 예후 및 심미성 등에 영향을 주게 된다. 그러므로 임플란트 경부 주위 골조직 보존을 위한 임플란트 경부에 다양한 디자인이 연구되고 있다. 본 고찰의 목적은 초기 변연골 흡수의 원인과 이에 따른 임플란트 주위의 연조직 변화에 대해 고찰하고, 어떠한 임플란트 경부 디자인이 임플란트 주위 조직의 보존에 유리한 지 알아보고자 한다. 연구 재료 및 방법: Pubmed database에서 임플란트 초기 변연골 흡수의 원인과 관련된 논문과 임플란트 경부의 여러 디자인에 관한 논문을 검색하여 분석하였다. 임플란트 경부 디자인은 one piece implant, two piece implant, internal hex abutment, external hex abutment, taper joint connection, butt joint connection, scalloped design abutment, platform switching concept에 관해 검토하였다. 결과: 초기의 임플란트 주위 조직 보존에 대하여 one piece implant가 two piece implant보다 유리한 것으로 여러 임상적, 실험적 연구가 있다. Two piece implant에서는 internal hex abutment가 external hex abutment보다, taper joint connection가 butt joint connection보다 유리할 것으로 보여진다. Scalloped design abutment에 대해서는 논쟁의 여지가 있어 더 많은 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. Platform switching concept은 그 원인이 명확히 밝혀지지는 않았으나 임상적, 실험적으로 초기 임플란트 주위 조직 보존에 대해 유리한 것으로 판단된다. 결론: 임플란트 경부의 디자인마다 각각의 장단점이 있고 추가적인 연구가 더 필요한 제한이 있지만 현재까지의 선행 연구들을 분석 종합해 보면 초기 임플란트 주위 조직 보존을 고려한다면 가능한 경우 one piece implant가 유리할 것으로 판단되며, 보철적인 문제나 다른 이유로 인하여 two piece implant를 고려할 경우 platform switching concept, internal connection abutment, taper joint connection을 이용하는 것이 임플란트 주위 조직 보존에 좀더 유리할 것으로 사료된다 Purpose: The peri-implant soft tissue is remodeled by the initial marginal bone resorption affecting the prognosis and esthetic result of treatment. Thus various designs on implant neck design are studied to preserve peri-implant bone. The purpose of this study is to review on the causes of initial marginal bone resorption, the configuration of peri-implant soft tissue, and the implant crestal module favorable in preserving peri-implant tissue. Materials and methods: The studies on the causes of initial marginal bone resorption and the implant crestal modules are researched and reviewed using Pubmed database. The implant crestal modules including one piece and two-piece implant, internal and external hex abutment, taper and butt joint connection, scalloped design abutment, and platform switching concept are reviewed. Results: A number of clinical and experimental studies preferred one piece implant to two-piece in preserving initial peri-implant tissue. For two piece implants, internal hex abutment and taper joint connection appear more favorable than external hex abutment and butt joint connection relatively. Controversial issues still exist on scalloped design requiring more studies on it. Although the rationale is not certain, the concept of platform switching seems favorable in preserving initial peri-implant tissue based on clinical and experimental studies. Conclusion: Each implant crestal module contains its own advantages and disadvantages with various controversial issues. In the aspect of preservation of initial peri-implant tissue, however, one-piece implant seems beneficial. In cases when two-piece implant is more appropriate due to prosthodontic concerns or any other problems, the application of platform switching concept, internal connection abutment, and taper joint connection may be favorable for the preservation of peri-implant tissues.

      • 넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus 치어의 생존, 성장 및 산소소비에 미치는 수은의 만성적 독성

        산업활동의 증가로 인해 해양에 유입되는 수은 (Hg)이 저서성 연안정착 어류인 넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus 치어의 생존, 성장, 사료효율 및 산소소비에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 6주 동안 0~0.13mg/L의 아치사 농도에서 넙치를 사육하며 Hg 독성에 대한 영향을 조사하였다. Hg 농도와 노출기간이 증가할수록 생존육은 감소했으며 6주 후, 0.05mg/L 이상의 농도 구에서 생존율이 급격히 감소했다. 성장률과 사료효율 또한, 각각 0.028mg/L (P<0.01)와 0.05mg/L (P<0.01) 이상의 농도 구에서 현저하게 감소하였다. 산소소비율은 0.05mg/L와 0.13mg/L의 농도구에서 각각 대조 구에 비해 25(P<0.01)와 32% (P<0.01) 감소해, 유의적인 차이를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과로부터 Hg 독성은 넙치의 성장, 사료효율 및 산소소비와 같은 생리적 기능을 저해해 생존율을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. Effect of mercury (Hg) toxicity on survival, growth, feed efficiency and oxygen consumption were examined in the juvenile olive flounder. Paralichthys olivaceus. Fishes were exposed to sublethal concentrations of Hg ranging from 0 to 0.13mg/L for 6 weeks. Hg reduced survival rate in a concentration and exposure period-dependent way and suddenly reduction occurred at Hg concentrations greater than 0.05mg/L after 6 weeks. Growth rate and feed efficiency also significantly decreased at greater than 0.028 and 0.05 mg/L respectively. Oxygen consumption rate was significantly decreased to 25 and 32% than that of the control at the Hg concentration of 0.05 and 0.13 mg/L respectively. These results suggest that Hg toxicity inhibit physiological function including growth, feed efficiency and oxygen consumption in the juvenile olive flounder, resulting in survival failure at high concentration.

        As modern people's interest in health grows, wearable healthcare-related technologies that can collect biometric information and receive health-related services regardless of time and place are developing. This paper proposes the healthcare system based on voice recognition function. Unlike conventional wearable healthcare systems, the proposed system provides real-time telemedicine and diagnosis and the direct connection with doctors is possible through it. And almost all functions of the application in it are operated with voice commands to lower user access barriers. Because it deals with personal information including medical information, encryption algorithms have been applied between all data movements. Finally, the healthcare system proposed in this paper is expected to increase convenience in health care and reduce the medical gap.

      • Role of FOXO3a in Regulation of DNA Double Strand Break Repair Activity During Aging

        Non homologous end joining (NHEJ) activity is known to be major double strand break DNA repair acivity in mammals and to be decreased during cellular aging even though their molecular mechanism remains still unknown. NHEJ activity was also decreased in aged tissue of mouse. Caloric restriction rescued decreased NHEJ activity in aged tissued. The level and activity of FOXO3a was also decreased in aged cells and tissues. In order to investigate the relationship between NHEJ activity and FOXO3a in cellular aging, we tested the levels of NHEJ factors and FOXO3a during cellular aging of human embryonic fibroblast (HEF). The protein levels of XRCC4, a NHEJ factor was decreased as well as NHEJ activity and FOXO3a level. To test whether NHEJ activity is dependent on XRCC4 and FOXO3a, we overexpressed XRCC4 and FOXO3a in old HEF by transfecting wildtype expression vector of XRCC4 or FOXO3a. The result showed that NHEJ activity was increased by overexpression of either XRCC4 or FOXO3a. Interestingly, the level of XRCC4 was also increased by overexpression of FOXO3a, suggesting that XRCC4 could be a target gene of FOXO3a. A reporter construct containing XRCC4 promoter and luciferase gene was used to test whether XRCC4 is regulated transcriptionally by FOXO3a. The result showed that luciferase activity was increased by FOXO3a overexpression in old HEF. Further, CHIP assay confirmed that FOXO3a interacts more tightly to XRCC4 promoter in young HEF. Immunohistochemical analysis using FOXO3a in mouse brain showed that aged hippocampus and cortex expressed low level of FOXO3a. Immuno blotting using FOXO3a in mouse brain showed that FOXO3a, XRCC4 and NHEJ were down-regulated in aged tissues. Taken together, the result demonstrated that the XRCC4 is transcriptionally regulated by FOXO3a during aging.

        Production of Monoclonal Antibodies and Immunohistochemical Studies of Brain Myo-Inositol Monophosphate Phosphatase

        Five monoclonal antibodies that recognize porcine brain myo-inositol monophosphate phosphatase (IMPase) have been selected and designated as mAb IMPP 9, IMPP 10, IMPP 11, IMPP 15, and IMPP 17. These antibodies recognize different epitopes of the enzyme and one of these inhibited the enzyme activity. When the total proteins of the porcine brain homogenate separated by SDS-PAGE were probed with monoclonal antibodies, a single reactive protein band of 29 kDa, co-migrating with the purified porcine brain IMPase, was detected. Using the anti-IMPase antibodies as probes, the cross reactivities of the brain IMPase from human and other mammalian tissues, as well as from avian sources, were investigated. Among the human and animal tissues tested, the immunoreactive bands on Western blots appeared to have the same molecular mass of 29 kDa. In addition, there was IMPase immunoreactivity in the various neuronal populations in the rat brain. These results indicate that mammalian brains contain only one major type of immunologically similar IMPase, although some properties of the enzymes that were previously reported differ from each another. The first demonstration of the IMPase localization in the brain may also provide useful data for future investigations on the function of this enzyme in relation to various neurological diseases.

        Comparative Economic Analysis on SOx Scrubber Operation for ECA Sailing Vessel

        The IMO (International Maritime Organization) has mandated the restriction of SOx emissions to 0.5 % for all international sailing vessels since January 2020. And, a number of countries have designated emission control areas for stricter environmental regulations. Three representative methods have been suggested to cope with these regulations; using low-sulphur oil, installing a scrubber, or using LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) as fuel. In this paper, economic analysis was performed by comparing the method of installing a scrubber with the method of using low-sulphur oil without installing additional equipment. We suggested plausible layouts and compared the pros and cons of dif erent scrubber types for retrofitting. We selected an international sailing ship as the target vessel and estimated payback time and benefits based on navigation route, fuel consumption, and installation and operation costs. Two case of oil prices were analyzed considering the uncertainty of fuel oil price fluctuation. We found that the expected payback time of investment varies from 1 year to 3.5 years depending on the operation ratio of emission control areas and the fuel oil price change.
