Impedance methode를 이용하여 빠른 산화-환원 속도를 가지는 [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+의 전극반응속도를 측정하고 검토하였다. 이 방법으로 구한 이 착이온의 확산계수, D 는 6.11×10^-7 cm^2/sec 이고 표준전극환원 반응속도 상수, k_s는 0.015 cm/sec 이었다. 이는 전형적인 빠른 전극반응 속도를 가지는 ferrocene에 대한 값, 0.154cm/sec의 1/10에 해당되며, 이 결과는 광 에너지 이용의 기초자료로 이용될 것이다. The electrochemical reaction rate constant of [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+ was examined and discussed by the impedance spectroscopic method (dpp=2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine). The diffusion coefficient, D of the [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+ was determined as 6.11×10^-7 cm^2/sec and the electrochemical reaction rate constant, k_s was determined as 0.015 cm/sec. The k_s value was 1/10 of that ferrocene which has typically rapid electrode rate constant, and the result could be used as a basic reference for the reservation and application of light energy.

Impedance method를 이용하여 highly conjugate 된 리간드인 tpp, (2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl) pyrazine)을 배위자로 한 [(NH₃)₃Ru(tpp)]^(2+)의 전극반응속도를 측정하고 검토하였다. 이 방법으로 구한 이 착이온의 확산계수, Dsms 3.45 × 10^(-6) cm²/sec 이었으며 표준전극환원 반응속도 속도상수, k_(s)는 0.31 cm/sec로 [(NH₃)₄Ru(dpp)]^(2+)에 대한 것, 0.015cm/sec 보다 큰 값이었다. 이는 전형적인 빠른 전극반응 속도를 가지는 ferrocene에 대한 값, 0.154cm/sec 보다 더 큰 값이었다. 본 연구에서는 전형적으로 가역 산화-환원 반응물질인 ferrocene의 아세토니트릴 용매 중에서 전극반응 속도를 ac impedance법으로 측정하고 그 결과를 고찰하였다. 이 방법으로 구한 확산계수, D는 4.34×10-6 cm-2/sec 이었으며, 전자전이에 대한 속도상수, ks는 0.154 cm/sec 이었다. The electrochemical reaction rate constant of ferrocene in the acetonitrile solution was studied by the ac impedance spectroscopic method. The diffusion coefficient, D of the ferrocene was determined as 4.34×10-6 cm2/sec and the electrochemical reaction rate constant, ks was determined as 0.154 cm/sec.

Electrochemical reduction of nickel complexes of nitrogen-oxygen donor macrocyclic ligands of 14-17 membered ring. [Ni(O-en-N-enH₄)(NCS)₂],[Ni(O-en-N-tnH₄)Cl₂]. [Ni(O-tn-N-tnH₄)Cl₂] and [Ni(O-bn-N-tnH₄(NCS)₂], were investigated by cyclic voltammetry at hanging mercury drop electrode in dimethylsulfoxide solvent. Ring sige effect of O₂N₂ macrocyclic ligands was weaker than coordination ability of X in [Ni(O₂N₂-mac)X₂] for the reduction step in which nickel(Ⅱ) complexes were reduced to nickel(Ⅰ) complexes. When 4-picoline was added to the complex solution, the second reduction peak were not influenced by the differences of ring size in macrocyclic ligands and coordination ability of X ligands.

CNU O4-5 isolated from conventional Meju, which is used as raw material for making a soybean fermentation food, identified as an Aspergillus oryzae. To make koji, Aspergillus oryzae CNU O4-5 was cultured for 3-4 days at 30℃ with various grain materials such as flour, soybean powder, flour+soybean powder(1:1), soaked soybean and rice. The koji was evaluated for analyze the angiotesin converting enzyne(ACE) inhibition, antioxidative activity, superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, amylase and protease activity, α-amylase and glucoamylase activities of flour koji wee higher than those of the koji soybean powder. However neutral and alkaline protease activities of flour koji were lower than those of flour+soybean powder and soybean koji. Amylase and protease activities of kojies of soaked soybean and rice showed very low level. The range of the ACE inhibition rate by hot water fraction of the kojies, which are cultured with various gain materials, were from 45% to 54%. The antioxidative activity of ethanol-fraction of koji, which is made by using the soybean powder or soaked soybean, prolonged for 6 days in lard at 60℃. The SOD activity of grinded fraction of koji, which is made by using the flour or soybean powder, was same as 2,000 units per g of each koji.

The various clinical features of tuberculosis are mediated by diverse cytokines produced by various immune cells which are initially triggered by M. tuberculosis antigens. CD4+ T cells can be classified into two subsets according to the patterns of cytokines they produce; Thl cells give rise to cell-mediated immunity and are characterized by the production of IL-2 and IFN-y, whereas Th2 cells are more efficient in mediating antibody production and secrete II-4, IL-5, IL-6 and II-10, Thl cells can control Th2 cell and vice versa. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells of healthy, cured and chronic refractory tuberculosis patients were stimulated with PPD, TSP and PHA antigen, and lymphoproliferative response and expression of II-2, IL- 10, TNF-α mRNAs were measured. Lymphoproliferative responses to PPD, TSP and PHA antigen were depressed in chronic refractory case compared with others expression of IL-2 mRNA was depressed in chronic refractory case stimulated with all antigens. Expression of IL-10 and TNF-α were depressed in cured and chronic refractory cases stimulated with PPD and TSP antigens.
A New Low-Amylose, Good-Quality and Six-rowed Naked Barley Cultivar “Hobanchal”

A new naked barley variety, Hobanchal, with low amylose contents, good quality and resistance to stress as BaYMV, lodging and wet damage was developed from a cross between Ginssalbori with resistance to lodging and Suwon 291 with low amylose contents and high yield at National Honam Agricultural Experiment Station in 2002. Its growth habit was winter type(III) with greenish leaves, thick culm and six-rowed spike, and its heading and maturing date were Apr. 20 and May 27, respectively, which were similar to those of check variety, Saechalssalbori. It showed moderate resistance to BaYMV and more tolerant to cold and lodging than check variety. In cooking quality, protein and -glucan contents, water absorption rate and expansibility were superior to check variety and whiteness of pearled grain was better than that of check variety. Its average pearled grain yield in the regional yield trial was 3.46 MT/ha at double cropping in paddy which was slightly higher (2%) than that of check variety. The adaptable area of Hobanchal is warm regions where is more than 7oC (minimum average temperature on Jan.).
