      • MORA 장착이 근력, 순발력, 근 지구력에 미치는 영향

        임순길,이삼영,최동재 龍仁大學校 體育科學硏究所 1999 體育科學硏究論叢 Vol.9 No.1

This thesis investigates the effect of soft MORA(mandibular orthopecic repositioning appliance) by studying the influence of soft MORA load upon muscular strength, agility, and muscular endurance, The compare and analysis of muscular strength, agility, and muscular endurance among beforehand, in 3 weeks, and in 6 weeks with Cybex, leads to the following conclusion. The study result shows whether MORA is loaded or not, there was no difference in muscular strength, agility, and muscular endurance in either knee flexor or extensor. It can be concluded that the change of muscular strength comes from placebo effect not from MORA load. Hereafter there needs to be more study regarding which part of body MORA has an effect on.

수복재와 이장재에 따른 응력과 온도 분포의 유한 요소 분석

        이재영,오태석,임성삼 대한치과보존학회 2000 Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics Vol.25 No.3

Dental caries, one of the most frequent dental disease, become larger because it can be thought as a simple disease. Further more, it can progress to unexpected root canal therapy with fabrication of crown that needs reduction of tooth structure. Base is required in a large caries and ZOE, ZPC, glass monomer are used frequently as base material. They, with restorative material, can affect the longevity of the restoration. In this study, we assume that the mandibular 1st molar has deep class I cavity. So, installing the 3 base material, 3 kinds of fillings were restored over the base as follows; 1) amalgam only, 2 ) amalgam with ZPC, 3) amalgam with ZOE, 4) amalgam with GI cement, 5) gold inlay with ZPC, 6) gold inlay with G1 cement, 7) composite resin only, 8) composite resin with GI cement. After develop the 3-dimensional model for finite element analysis, we observe the distribution of stress and temperature with force of 500N to apical direction at 3 point on occlusal surface and temperature of 55 degree, 15 degree on entire surface. The analyzed results were as follow : 1.Principal stress produced at the interface of base, dentin, cavity wall was smallest in case of using GI cement as base material under the amalgam. 2.Principal stress produced at the interface of base, dentin, cavity wall was smaller in case of using GI cement as a base material than ZPC under gold inlay. 3.Composite resin-filled tooth showed stress distributed over entire tooth structure. In other words, there was little concentration of stress. 4.ZOE was the most effective base material against hot stimuli under the amalgam and GI cement was the next. In case of gold inlay, GI cement was more effective than ZPC. 5.Composite resin has the small coefficient of thermal conductivity. So, composite resin filling is the most elective insulating material

Correlation of Curved Walking Ability with Straight Walking Ability and Motor Function in Patients with Hemiplegia

        Lim, Jae-Heon,Park, Jang-Sung,Seo, Sam-Ki The Korean Society of Physical Therapy 2011 대한물리치료학회지 Vol.23 No.3

Purpose: In real life there are both straight-paths and curved-paths. To evaluate walking ability of both kinds, a figure-8 walking test (F8WT) was developed. The aim of this study was to validate the measure in hemiplegic patients with walking difficulties and to identify correlations of curved walking ability with straight walking ability, motor function, and walking performance ability. Methods: Twenty subjects participated in this study. Curved walking was measured by a F8WT. Straight walking ability was measured by a 10-meter walking test (10MWT). Dynamic balancea bility was measured by timed up and go (TUG) tests. Walking performance ability was measured using a modified motor assessment scale (MMAS). Motor function was measured by the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) scale. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. Linear regression analyses were performed to explore other functional tests in mobility ability by F8WT time, 10MWT (dependent variable). Results: There was a significant positive correlation of F8WT time with 10MWT and TUG. There was a significant negative correlation of F8WT time with MMAS and FMA-coordination. There was a significant positive correlation of 10MWT with TUG. There was a significant negative correlation of 10MWT with MMAS and FMA-coordination. The F8WT time for curved walking ability was attributed to 10MWT for straight walking ability as 94% level of contribution. Conclusion: The results suggest that the F8WT is a good instrument for measuring walking ability because there is a robust correlation of F8WT time with 10MWT, TUG, MMAS, and FMA-coordination in hemiplegic patients who, after stroke, have a mobility deficiency.

Changes of quality of life and cognitive function in individuals with Internet gaming disorder : A 6-month follow-up

        Lim, Jae-A,Lee, Jun-Young,Jung, Hee Yeon,Sohn, Bo Kyung,Choi, Sam-Wook,Kim, Yeon Jin,Kim, Dai-Jin,Choi, Jung-Seok Wolters Kluwer Health 2016 Medicine Vol.95 No.50

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Internet gaming disorder (IGD) contributes to poor quality of life (QOL) and cognitive dysfunction and is increasingly recognized as a social problem in various countries. However, no evidence exists to determine whether QOL and cognitive dysfunction stabilize after appropriate management. The present study addressed improvement in QOL and cognitive functioning associated with changes in addiction symptoms following outpatient management for IGD. A total of 84 young males (IGD group: N = 44, mean age: 19.159 ± 5.216 years; healthy control group: N = 40, mean age: 21.375 ± 6.307 years) participated in this study. We administered self-report questionnaires at baseline to assess clinical and psychological characteristics, and conducted traditional and computerized neuropsychological tests. Nineteen patients with IGD completed follow-up tests in the same manner after 6 months of outpatient treatment, which included pharmacotherapy with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. A baseline comparison of patients with IGD against the healthy control group showed that the IGD patients had more symptoms of depression and anxiety, higher degrees of impulsiveness and anger/aggression, higher levels of distress, poorer QOL, and impaired response inhibition. After 6 months of treatment, patients with IGD showed significant improvements in the severity of IGD, as well as in QOL, response inhibition, and executive functioning. Additionally, a stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed a favorable prognosis for IGD patients with low working memory functioning and high executive functioning at baseline. These results provide evidence regarding longitudinal changes in QOL and cognitive function following psychiatric intervention for IGD. Furthermore, it appears that response inhibition may be an objective state marker underlying the pathophysiology of IGD.</P>

Vol.18 No.1

The ischemia and reperfusion injury of the skeletal muscles is caused by generation of reactive oxygen during ischemia and reperfusion. The formation of oxygen free radicals is in proportion to the time of ischemia in the skeletal muscle. It is well known that over 4 hours of ischemia injures the skeletal muscles irreversibly and less than 2 hours of ischemia injures them reversibly. The author has demonstrated the effects of SOD(superoxide dismutase), DMTU(dimethyl thiourea) and ischemic preconditioning on ultrastructural changes of the muscle fibers in the rectus femoris muscles after 2 hours or 4 hours of ischemia and timely reperfusion. A total of 120 healthy Sprague-Dawley rats weighing from 200gm to 250gm were used as experimental animals. Under urethane(1.15g/㎏, IP, 2 times) anesthesia, lower abdominal incision was done and the left common iliac artery was occluded by using vascular clamp for 2 or 4 hours. The left rectus femoris muscles were obtained at 1 and 3 days after the removal of vascular calmp. SOD(15000unit/㎏) or DMTU(500㎎/㎏) were administered intraperitoneally at 1 hour before induction of ischemia. The ischemic preconditioned group underwent three episodes of 5 minutes occlusion and 5 minutes reperfusion followed by 2 hours or 4 hours of ischemia and timely reperfusion. The specimens were sliced into 1㎣ and prepared by routine methods for electron microscopic observation. All preparations were stained with uranyl acetate and lead citrate and then observed with Hitachi-600 transmission electron microscope. The results were as follows: 1 SOD or DMTU alone did not affect the ultrastructure of muscle fibers in the rectus femoris muscles. The electron density of mitochondrial matrix was decreased by ischemic preconditioning. 2 Dilated cisternae of sarcoplasmic reticulum, dilated mitochondria with electron loose matri, dilated cristae were observed in the 2 hours ischemia and 1 day reperfused rectus femoris muscles. Myofibrilloysis, widening of interfibrillar space, segmentation or loss of myofilament in the sarcomere and transverse tubule wrapped with electron dense material were seen in the 2 hours ischemia and 3 days reperfused rectus femoris muscles. 3 Dilated cisternae of sarcoplasmic reticulum, triad, mitochondria and the loss of myofilamt in the sarcomere were observed in the 4 hours ischemia and 1 day reperfused rectus femoris muscles. Markedly changed sarcoplasmic reticulum, triad, disordered or loss of myofilament, indistinct A-band and I-band, and irregular electron lucent M-line and Z-line are seen in the 4 hours ischemia and 3 dyas reperfused rectus femoris muscles. 4 SOD reduced the changes of organelles in the muscle fibers of the 2 hours or 4 hours ischemia and 1 day reperfused rectus femoris muscles of the rats, but SOD did not affect the changes of muscle fibers in the 2 hours or 4 hours ischemia and 3 days reperfused muscles. On the other hand, DMTU markedly attenuated considerably the ultrastructural change of the 2 hours or 4 hours ischemia and 1 day or 3 days reperfused rectus femoris muscles. 5 By the ischemic preconditioning, the change was attenuated remarkably in the 2 hours or 4 hours ischemia and 1 day reperfused rectus femoris muscles. As the ischemic reperfused changes of muscle fibers were regenerted or recovered by ischemic preconditioning, the ultrastructures of them were similar to those of normal control in the 2 hours or 4 hours ischemia and 3 days reperfused rectus formoris muscles. Consequently, it is suggested that the severity of muscular damage depends on the duration of ischemia, and that DMTU is stronger inhibitor to ischemic reperfused change than SOD. The ischemia and reperfusion-induced muscular damage is remarkably inhibited by ischemic preconditioning.

Morphology of Retinas and Lenses in the Fish of the Genus Zacco (Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae): Possible Relationship with Prey and Habitat

Jae Won Lim,Chung Lyul Lee,Moo Sam Lee 한국통합생물학회 2003 Animal cells and systems Vol.7 No.4

Vertebrates with different habitats have different proportions of visual cells, with the rod cells responding to scotopic vision and the cone cells responding to photopic and color vision in their retinas. The present work studied whether the kinds and arrangement patterns of the cone cells and interlocking morphology of the lens were related to the kind of preys and habitats in the genus Zacco. The retinas were observed by a light microscopy using H-E staining method and the interlocking formula of the lens fibers were investigated by a scanning electron microscopy. The interlocking formula of the lens fibers of Z. temmincki is an “anchor and socket” connection, and that of Z. platypus is a “ball and socket” connection. The cone cells of Z. platypus and Z. temmincki constituted compacted mosaic patterns of row type. Away from the center, the double and single cone cells gradually increased in diameter. Zacco temmincki had identical double cone cells and Z. platypus had non-identical double and single cone cells. The eyes of Z. temmincki feeding on a moving aquatic insects in relative limpid water and swift current of mid and upper stream have better resolution than that of Z. platypus feeding on mainly adhesive algae and some aquatic insects in slightly turbid water of mid stream.
