근관세정 방법에 따른 수산화칼슘 제재의 제거 효율 비교

The purposes of this study were to compare the efficacy of irrigation systems by removing a calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) paste from the apical third of the root canal and the effect of the patency file. Sixty single rooted human teeth were used in this study. The canals were instrumented by a crown-down manner with .04 taper ProFile to ISO #35. Ca(OH)₂ and distilled water were mixed and placed inside the root canals. The teeth were divided into 6 groups according to the root canal irrigation system and the use of patency file as follows: group 1 - conventional method: group 2 - EndoActivator : group 3 - EndoVac; group 4 - conventional method, patency: group 4 - EndoActivator, patency; group 6 - EndoVac, patency. All teeth were irrigated with sodium hypochlorite. After the root canal irrigation, the teeth were split in bucco-lingual aspect. Percentage of the root canal surface coverage with residual Ca(OH)₂ until 3 mm from working length was analyzed using Image Pro Plus ver. 4.0. Statistical analysis was performed using the One-way ANOVA, t-test and Scheffe's post-hoc test. Conventional groups had significantly more Ca(OH)₂ debris than EndoActivator, EndoVac groups. There was no significant difference between EndoActivator, and EndoVac groups. Groups with patency file showed more effective in removing Ca(OH)₂ paste than no patency groups. but. it was no significant difference. This study showed that EndoActivator and EndoVac systems were more effective in removing Ca(OH)₂ paste from the apical third of the root canal than conventional method. 이 실험의 목적은 근관 내에 충전된 수산화칼슘의 제거 시 치근단 1/3에서 기존의 근관세정법과 EndoActivator, EndoVac system의 세정 효율을 비교하고, 근관 세정 중 치근단공 개방 확인의 영향에 대해 평가하고자 함이다. 60개의 단근치를 사용하였고 ISO #35까지 근관성형 후 수산화칼슘을 충전하였다. 근관 세정법과 치근단공 개방 확인 유무에 따라 6개 실험군으로 나누어 세정하였다. 실험 치아를 양분하여 치근단 3 mm에서 근관 면적에 대한 잔존 수산화칼슘 면적의 백분율을 측정하였다. 실험결과 EndoActivator, EndoVac군이 기존의 근관 세정법 군에 비해 유의하게 높은 제거효율을 나타냈으며 (p<0.05), 치근단공 개방 확인 유무에 따른 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 이 실험 결과에 따르면 기존의 근관세정법으로 효과적인 세정이 불가능했던 근관의 치근단 1/3부위에서 EndoActivator, EndoVac system과 같은 근관 세정법이 효과적인 대안이 될 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.
2,2`-Bithiophene 구조에 관한 이론적 연구

The ab initio molecular orbital calculation for 2,2'-bithiophene were carried out by HF and MØller Plesset (MP) perturbation method with 6-31G* basis set. The planar 2,2'-bithiophene was optimized systematically, and the most stable structure was obtained, which was in good agreement with the experimental and the previous calculated structure. For the minimum energy conformation the torsional angle was optimized and two minimum points were obtained at 43.4˚ and 143.3˚. The lowest point was anti-gauche form with θ=143.3˚ Calculations on 3.3'-, 4.4'-, 5.5'-dimethyl-2,2'-bithiophene were carried out for the most stable conformation. While 4,4'- and 5,5'-dimethyl-2,2'-bithiophene shows the results similar to that of 2,2'-bithiophene which have two minimum energy conformations and have the most stable anti-gauche form, 3,3'-dimethyl-2,2'-bithiophene has one minimum energy point with θ=60.7˚ which is gauche-gauche form.

Thermoplastic composites have great advantages over thermoset composites in productivity and properties. However, thermoplastic composites have not been used so widely because of difficulty in impregnation of their materials. In this study, the unidirectional composites were fabricated under different holding times by using commingled yarn(CY) and uncommingled yarn(UY). we investigated 0° and 90° bending strength and DSC analysis of thermoplastic composites which consisted Polypropylene(pp), Nylon6(Ny6) and Polyethylene telephtalate(PET) as the matrixs fiber and glass fiber as the reinforecement respectively.

Purpose: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection has a significant role in cervical carcinogenesis, and HPV oncoprotein E7 plays an important part in the formation and maintenance of cervical cancer. Interleukin-12 (IL-12) has been reported to induce a cellular immune response, and to suppress the tumor growth and the E7 production. Here we describe the use of adenoviral delivery of the HPV 16 E7 subunit (AdE7) along with adenoviral delivery of IL-12 (AdIL-12) in mice with HPV-associated tumors. Materials and Methods: Mice were injected with TC-1 cells to establish TC-1 tumor, and then they were immunized with AdIL-12 and/or AdE7 intratumorally. The anti tumor effects induced by AdIL-12 and/or E7 were evaluated by measuring the size of the tumor. E7-specific antibody and INF-gamma production in sera, and the T-helper cell proliferative responses were then measured. Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) and T cell subset depletion studies were also performed. Results: Combined AdIL-12 and AdE7 infection at the tumor sites significantly enhanced the antitumor effects more than that of AdIL-12 or AdE7 single infection. This combined infection resulted in regression of the 9 mm sized tumors in 80% of animals as compare to the PBS group. E7-specific antibody and INF-gamma production in the sera, and the T-helper cell proliferative responses were significantly higher with coinfection of AdIL-12 and AdE7 than with AdIL-12 or AdE7 alone. CTL response induced by AdIL-12 and AdE7 in the coinjected group suggested that tumor suppression was mediated by mostly CD8 and only a little by the CD4 T cells. Conclusion: IL-12 and E7 application using adenovirus vector showed antitumor immunity effects against TC-1 tumor, and this system could be use in clinical applications for HPV-associated cancer.

IgG4-related disease is an immune-mediated fibro-inflammatory disease, characterized by lymphoplasmacytic infiltration composed of IgG4-positive plasma cells of various organs with elevated circulating levels of IgG4. This disease is now reported with increasing frequency and usually affects middle-aged men. Massive pleural effusion in children is an uncommon feature in IgG4-related disease. Here, we report a case of a 16-year-old male patient with extensive IgG4- related disease presenting with massive pleural effusion, mediastinal mass, and mesenteric lymphadenopathy.
Thermal-Mixing Analyses for Safety Injection at Partial Loop Stagnation of a Nuclear Power Plant

When a cold HPSI (High Pressure Safety Injection) fluid associated with an overcooling transient, such as SGTR (Steam Generator Tube Rupture), MSLB (Main Steam Line Break)<br/> etc., enters the cold legs of a stagnated primary coolant loop, thermal stratification phenomena will arise due to incomplete mixing. If the stratified flow enters the downcomer of the reactor pressure vessel, severe thermal stresses are created in a radiation embrittled vessel wall by local overcooling. As general thermal-hydraulic system analysis codes cannot properly predict the thermal stratification phenomena, RG 1.154 requires that a detailed thermal-mixing analysis of PTS (Pressurized Thermal Shock) evaluation be performed. Also. previous PTS studies have assumed that the thermal stratification phenomena generated in the stagnated loop side of a partially stagnated primary coolant loop are neutralized in the vessel downcomer by the strong flow from the unstagnated loop. On the basis of these reasons. this paper focuses on the development of a 3-dimensional thermal-mixing analysis model using PHOENICS code which can be applied to both partial and total loop stagnated cases. In addition, this paper verifies the fact that, for partial loop stagnated cases, the cold plume generated in the vessel downcomer due to the thermal stratification phenomena of the stagnated loop is almost neutralized by the strong flow of the unstagnated loop but is not fully eliminated.
