        The development of fetal rat liver between 12 and 21 days of gestation was studied ultrastructurally. The liver developed closely associated with hemopoiesis, and so, the ultrastructural changes of hepatocytes according to hemopoietic activity were investigated. The results observed were as follows. 1. The hepatocytes were discernible as dark cells of high electron density due to many ribosomes, rough endoplasmic reticulums and lipid inclusions, and as light cells of low electron density due to relatively small amount of such organelles. 2. At 13 day of gestation, hepatocytes with many granules were frequently found and had well developed Golgi apparati, dilatated granular endoplasmic reticulums. The granules were round in shape, surrounded by membrane, and observed with high inner, low outer electron densities. These characteristics reflected the capacity to produce proteineous substances and the maturity, and in general, hepatocytes at 13 day of gestation were more mature than at 12 day. 3. The hepatocytes were irregular in shape due to many hemopoietic cells after 14 day of gestation and made microvilli in close contact with hemopoietic cells. Hepatocytes showed well developed Golgi apparati, RERs, mitochondria and many ribosomes, and at 17 day of gestation, immature bile canaliculi were present. In summary, the great ultrastructural differences of hepatocytes between 12 and 13 day of gestation were the appearance of Golgi apparati, dilatated RERS, many ribosomes, granules and lipid inclusions reflecting the capacity to produce proteineous substances. Besides the above, hemopoietic cells appeared for the first time at 13 day of gestation and hepatocytes were in close contact with hemopoietic cells. From the results, the hepatocytes are supposed to produce some proteineous substances affecting the hemopoiesis.

      • 구리이온을 도입한 Acrylonitrile-Acrylic Acid계 공중합체의 도전성에 관한 연구

        The AN-AA copolymer-Cu(Ⅱ) and Amidated AN-AA copolymer-Cu(Ⅱ) complex were the most stable in the pH range of 9. The morphology of Cu(Ⅱ) complex and CuxS-induced had changed into compact form. The thermal stability for Cu(Ⅱ) complex and CuxS-induced had been determined through DTA and TGA measurement. As result, it has been observed that thermal stability for Cu(Ⅱ) complex were stabilized less than that of copolymer. The Cu(Ⅱ) complex exhibited surface resistivity around 10Ω㎝ when modified iodine in acetone. The resistivity was significantly affected by the amounts of added cupric chloride, iodine and results were statisfactorily obtained by adding more than 20wt% of Cupric chloride and about 1.0wt% iodine. The optimum condition for the introducing of CuxS was at the CuSO₄concentration of 30g/ℓ and the reaction time of 3hrs. The CuxS-induced electrical conductivity of copolymer was higher by order of 10 than that of the Cu(Ⅱ) complex.

        Nowadays we globally recognize the importance of the environmental preservation and the environmental energy. The developed countries have already made efforts to realize the saving of energy and the technology based on environment-friendly viewpoint. 'Roof garden' means the restoration of soil eco-system destroyed by rash urbanization and construction. It can also offer the resting place to people in the city. Now it is considered as the realistic way that can solve the serious problems like heat island, pollution and flood in the city fundamentally. In this research, we found out that the following results were obtained: 1) Roof garden is used by users in various objects. Stage, meeting, event, date etc. 2) Users want to design roof garden that have various space features: open and close space, wide and small space etc. 3) The group composed from one to five or more played roof garden. 4) The roof garden aboved have similar facilities excepted one or two. Vaitalization in roof garden remains as a matter to be discussed further.

        上顎犬齒의 萌出路豫側 및 埋伏에 關한 累年的 硏究

        To predict eruptive path of maxillary canine, 13 male and 11 female malocclusions were longitudinally studied for 4 years. And to study frequency and distribution of impaction of maxillary canine, 1500 malocclusions were studied. The path, velocity and duration of maxillary canine eruption were determined by periodic angular and linear measurement using periodic orthopantomograms and cephalograms. The following results were obtained. 1. Maxillary canine was erupted with 14.5。 distal tipping from initial stage 98.1。 to final stage 83.6。 of axial inclination on orthopantomogram. 2. Eruptive velocity of maxillary canine was fastest on stage 4, and mean eruptive velocity was 10.5mm per year on stage 4. 3. Eruption of maxillary canine was completed 12 year 5 months in male and 11 years 8 months in female. 4. To predict the duration for eruption completion by position of maxillary canine on cephalogram, regression equation was obtained. 5. Frequency of impaction of maxillary canine was 1.47% in malocclusion and more frequent in male. Distribution of buccal and palatal, right and left impaction was no different, but unilateral impaction was more frequent.

        This study was conducted to investigate main odor components of Chungkook-jang fermented with organisms in rice straw. In order to search major aroma components, changes of aroma compounds and sensory score were compared for fermentation period. 30 aroma compounds were identified as a result of analysis using GC-MSD. Aroma of Chungkook-jang was leaded by 5 compounds, 2,5-dimethyl-pyrazine, 2,3-dimethyl-5- ethylpyrazine, trimethylpyrazine, tetramethylpyrazine and 3,5-diethyl-2- methyl-pyrazine. Major aroma components of Chungkook-jang on aging time were studied on the basic of sensory score. The desirable odor components were showed as 1-octen-3-ol and guaiacol. The undesirable odor components were appeared as butanoic acid and 3-methyl-butanoic acid

        후두와 뇌병변의 최소침습수술에서 Fibrin Glue의 사용

        The posterior fossa surgery(PFS) via lateral suboccipital craniectomy(SOCE) and partial mastoidectomy always has the potential cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) leakage and painful deformity in the suboccipital and retroauricular area. This study describes the efficacy of our mathods for dural closure and cranioplasty to prevent CSF leakage and suboccipital depression respectively after posterior fossa exploration using retrosigmoid suboccipital approaches. This techniques were performed in the consecutive 10 patients who underwent PFS in a park-bench position for different types of lesions. The SOCE and driling of the mastoid process were done minimally. Following intradural works, dura was closed in a watertight manner usually using a graft, thereafter reinforced with GelfoamR and biological human allogenic fibrin glue (GreenplastR). After augmentation of dural suture, opened mastoid air cells were bone-waxed and covered with fat graft by anchoring sutures. For the reconstructive cranioplasty, autologous bone chips and dust obtained at craniectomy were wrapped with SurgicelR. Then it was replaced to the site of suboccipital bone defect and GreenplastR was applied on and around the bone plate. The age of patients ranged from 33 to 61 years. Five cases of hemifacial spasm have been undertaken decompression of the facial nerve and four cases of cerebellopontine angle masses(meningioma, epidermoid, arachnoid cyst, and cerebellar metastasis) were treated by retrosigmoid approach. Computed tomography and plain cranial films taken a few month later showed successful and good appearance of the suboccipital and retromastoid area. All patients made a excellent recovery without any postoperative complications. Preliminary results of up to 10 months show no CSF leakage nor a persistent headache. There was no adverse reactions related to fibrin glue. We think that the present technique is a valuable method to minimize or avoid postoperative CSF leakage and to restore an autologous bone plate in a cranial defect by piecemal craniectomy.

      • 자동 문턱치 방법을 이용한 밀리미터파 영상의 은닉된 물체 영역 검출

        본 논문은 수동형 밀리미터파 영상 시스템을 이용하여 은닉된 물체의 영역을 검출에 관한 연구이다. 밀리미터파 영상은 악천후에도 영상 촬영이 가능하고 플라스틱, 종이, 나무, 옷, 머리카락 같은 특유한 물질들을 투과한다. 그리고 밀리미터파는 금속과 특수한 인공 구조물에 대한 반사율이 높기 때문에 은닉된 물체를 쉽게 검출할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 밀리미터파 영상에서 은닉된 물체 검출의 영상 분할을 자동 문턱치 방법으로 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 8㎜ 파장을 수평과 수직 편광 방향으로 수신하는 두 채널에서 획득된 밀리미터파 영상을 Gonzalez와 Otsu 방법으로 영역 분할을 한다. 실험 결과는 Gonzalez과 Otsu 방법 모두 은닉된 물체 영역의 형태를 잘 분리하지만 Otsu 방법이 노이즈와 몸체 영역의 경계 부분이 안정적으로 영역 분할됨을 보인다. We address an image segmentation method to detect concealed objects captured by passive millimeter wave (MMW) imaging. Passive MMW imaging can create interpretable imagery on the objects concealed under clothing. Due to the penetrating property of the MMW imaging, the MMW imaging system is often employed for the security and defense system. In this paper, we develop automatic thresholding methods for the segmentation of concealed objects detected by PMMW imaging. The automatic thresholding method is useful for the image with bimodal distributions. We compare several thresholding methods for two MMW channel images which have 8 mm-horizontal and 8 mm-vertical polarization, respectively. The experimental results show that concealed weapon area is well segmented from the background body by the presented methods.

        안면비대칭과 상악치열궁형태의 연관성에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 안면비대칭이 존재하는 사람에 있어서 상악치열궁의 좌우측 치아에서 전후방, 측방 그리고 수직 비대칭의 존재 유무와 상악 중절치의 치축경사 변화 정도 및 이러한 비대칭 양상과 하악골의 편위 정도와의 상관성을 알아보고 정상군과의 비교를 통하여 상대적인 비대칭의 양상을 파악하고자 고안되어졌다. 부산대학교병원 교정과에 내원한 환자들 중 하악골의 편위를 동반한 골격성 비대칭을 가진 21명을 안면비대칭군으로 선정하고 임상적으로 양호한 안모를 가지고 골격성의 비대칭이 없는 20명을 정상군으로 선정한 후 상악치열궁모형과 정모두부방사선규격사진을 이용하여 상악치열궁을 이루는 좌우측 치아의 위치와 상악 중절치 치축경사, 그리고 상악 제1대구치의 수직위치를 계측하고 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 안면비대칭군에서 치성 비대칭의 정도와 하악의 편위정도 사이에는 높은 상관성을 나타내지 않았다. 2. 안면비대칭군에서 악골이 편위된 측의 치아들이 더 측방으로 확장되어 있었다. 그리고 상악 제1대구치와 제2대구치의 전후방위치와 상악 중절치의 치축경사에서 차이가 있었다. 3. 안면비대칭군에서 측방 비대칭은 후방치아로 갈수록 증가되었으며 전후방 비대칭에 비해 더 크게 나타났다. This study was designed to examine the dental asymmetry in person with facial asymmetry and to examine the relationship between the degree of mandibular deviation and asymmetry of maxillary dental arch. The samples were divided to asymmetry group and normal group. The asymmetry group consisted of 21 subjects(6 males and 15 females) and their mean age was 23.5 years. The normal group consisted of 20 subjects(10 males and 10 females) and their mean age was 18.6 years. Anteroposterior, transverse position of all maxillary teeth except 3rd molars, vertical position of maxillary 1st molars, and angulation of central incisors were measured. The anterioposterior and transverse positions of teeth were measured on the maxillary dental casts, the vertical position of maxillary 1st molars and angulation of maxillary incisors were measured on posteroanterior cephalometric radiographs. The data were analyzed to examine whether significant asymmetries existed in each of the asymmetry and normal groups. The results of this study were as follows : 1. In the asymmetry group, the correlation between the degree of mandibular deviation and that of 3-dimensional dental asymmetry was not so high. 2. In the asymmetry group, the teeth in deviated side were more laterally positioned than that of undeviated side. There were differences in the anteroposterior position of maxillary 1st and 2nd molars and the angulation of maxillary central incisors. 3. In the asymmetry group, the transverse symmetry was larger in the posterior teeth rather than in the anterior teeth and larger than the anteroposterior asymmetry.

      • A Full Recognition Strategy for Processor Allocation in Hypercube Multiprocessors

        The hypercube interconnection networks is considered as a good parallel architecture for a large class of flexible and powerful networks in large-scale parallel computing. Processors must be allocated to incoming tasks in a way that will maximize the processors utilization and minimize the system fragmentation. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to detect the availability of a subcube of required size and merge the released small cubes to form a larger ones. In this paper, we describe the existing strategies for subcube allocation in an n-cube multiprocessors and then propose a new fully-recognizable allocation strategy with [2??+(??)×n] search space in comparison with [(??)×(2??-1)+2??] in binary tree of the TC strategy in generating the search space, while achieving complete subcube recognition. The implementation details of the algorithms are also described.
