In order to clarify the receptor types and mechanisms underlying the positive inotropic effect of phenylephrie on the mammalian ventricular myocardium, the action potential, its first derivatives and isometric contraction of the rabbit papillary muscle were recorded using a free transducer and glass capillary microelectronics filled with 3M KCI, and results were analyzed. The results were as follows; l. In normal Tyrode solution, the contractile force was increased with increments of phenylephrine concentration and maximum effect was reached at the stimulation frequency of 1 Hz in 10^-5 M phenylephrine. 2. In 22 mM K^+-Tyrode solution, the maximum rate of rise (Vmax) of action potential, overshoot and the duration oction potential were significantly increased with increments of phenylephrine concentration (10^-6 ~ 10^-4 M). 3. The negative inotropic effect induced by verapamil was reversed by phenylephrine. 4. Phentolamine (3x10^-6 M) shifted the dose response curve for phenylephrine to the right more than propranolol (10^-6 M) did. The above results may be interpreted as follow; The positive inotropic effect of phenylephrine is caused by increase in slow inward current (Ca^2+influx into the myocardial cell), and is mediated through α- and β-adrengergic receptors in the rabbit pailary muscle

大氣公害가 養蠶에 미치는 影響에 관한 硏究 : 人工 飼料中의 카드미움 濃度와 家蠶形質과의 關係 Relation between Silkworm larval characters and the levels of cadmium density in diets

Performed to study on effect of economic characters and quantity of Cd in silkworm body by feeding artificial diet which aded Cd per density to all age silkworms. The results were as follows: 1. Each treated parts was a little longer than control on silkworm larval duration. 2. Growing condition of 40 ppm on the 7th day after commencement incubation was uneven and found out around 80% of 1st instar-silkworm larvae which almost didn't grow at ones of 80 ppm. 3. Maximum weight of the 5th instar, pupation ratio, weight of cocoon, weight of cocoon layer and cocoon layer ratio of parts of 1,10, and 20 ppm was a lettle higher than control, but only ones of 40 ppm was lower than those. And found out it ws chronic toxicity. 4. Each treated parts on eclosion period was longer than control. Expecially non-eclosion ratio of 40 ppm was 30%. 5. The safe level density of Cd in diet was 20 ppm. 6. Toxicity will be occurred when Cd contents in is more than 5 PPM in silkworm body.

유리 광배근피판을 이용한 하지의 재건

Significant soft-tissue defects in the lower extremity including the tibia and the foot are best managed with free skin-muscle of skin-grafted free muscle transfers. While free flap donor sites useful for lower exremity reconstruction include the latissimus dorsi, the rectus abdominis, the gracilis, and the scapular flaps, the latissimus dorsi seems ideal. This muscle has a reliably long vascular pedicle of wide diameter, making microsurgical anastomosis of the thoracodorsal vessels straightforward. Because it is so large, it can cover virtually and size defect. Furthermore, its flat configuration makes it especially easy to fold on itself to that it can be used to closure wounds with complex three-dimensional geometry and dead space. Although the gracilis and rectus abdominis muscles have their roles, in most cases the latissimus dorsi should serve well. We described technical considerations in each case and the advantages of free latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap on the reconstruction of the soft tissue defect in the lower extremity.

신 혈관근지방종 1례

Renal angiomyolipoma is an uncommon benign tumor of the kidney, with or without tuberous sclerosis, which is composed with mixture of adipose tissue, smooth muscle and blood vessel. Angiomyolipoma without tuberous sclerosis is usually solitary and unilateral, and is predominent in middle aged women. Its clinical and radiologic features are similiar with renal cell carcinoma, so its preoperative daigonosis is difficult, But recently, nephrotomography, ultrasonography and computerized tomography are helpful in diagnostic procedures. Herein we present a case of renal angiomyolipoma without tuberous sclerosis, in 27 years old male.

The principal sources of foreign currency for DPRK have been: 1. Export of raw material drawn from her mineral reserves, in particular the iron ore, fishery reserve, and other primary resources; 2. Special economic zones like the Kaesong Industrial Park and the Mt. Keumkang Tourism Zone; and, 3. Placement of foreign investment from China and Europe. The reasons for interest in DPRK's raw material can be found in the explosive increase of China's appetite for raw material and rise in price in the international commodities market. As China and EU increased their importation of DPRK's mineral commodities, their investments in DPRK saw a corresponding increase. The trade of mineral commodities between the North and South Koreas, however, remains minimal. The principal export items of DPRK are marine products, IT products, textiles and electronics. Recently, China's and EU's trade with DPRK. relating to the electric/electronic sector has been on the increase. The North Korean policy of the current South Korean administration and the international financial crisis have had a significant impact on DPRK's economy and trade. DPRK's economy reeling from widening trade deficit urgently needs increase in export. Toward that end, DPRK needs to embark on a policy of separation of politics and economics, in particular, with respect to the special economic zones and the export activities.

防波堤의 任意 配置에 對한 波浪 廻折

In harbor design, it is a necessary condition to retain calmness inside a harbor. For this purpose, breakwaters are disposed as exterior structures against incident waves. There are cases that necessitate main and auxiliary breakwaters according to frequent directions of incident waves. In these cases, harbor entrances have various geometric shapes in horizontal plane. In the program developed here, harbor entrances are classified into six different cases by the disposition of breakwaters and the attack angle of incident waves. For each case, the diffraction phenomena inside and around harbor entrance are analysed by superposing the solutions of Sommerfeld's. The method gives fairly good results compared with those reported before, and also is proved to be computationally very efficient. Therefore, the method may be applicable to the preliminary design of breakwater dispositions, and also the program can be used as the basic subroutine in the calculation of wave height distributions inside a harbor with reflected waves.

蠶兒의 部位別 神經球摘出이 絹絲 腺發育 및 絲質에 미치는 影響

家蠶을 5齡起蠶과 熟蠶때에 腹部 第 2,4,6 神經球를 摘出하여 絹絲線發育, 吐絲量, Fibroin 含量比, 營繭形態 및 ??體色의 變化에 대해 試驗하였던 바 그 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. 絹絲線의 發育은 腹部 第 4,6 神經球 摘出보다 腹部 第 2 神經球 摘出이 더 크다. 2. 各 神經球 摘出은 絹絲線의 屈曲現像을 보였다. 3. 吐絲量은 腹部 第 4,6 神經球 摘出보다 腹部 第 2 神經球 摘出이 적었다. 4. 絹絲線의 發育정도와 吐絲量은 같은 傾向을 보였다. 5. 繭絲의 Fibroin 含量比는 腹部 第 6 神經球 影響이 腹部 第 2,4 神經球보다 큰 것 같다. 6. 神經球 摘出의 경우 表面의 營繭形態는 薄皮營繭이었고 腹部 第 4 神經球 摘出의 裏面의 營繭形態는 대부분 ??體半露出繭을 나타내었다. 7. 腹部 第 2,4,6 神經球는 化?? 및 ??體色의 變化에 關與할 可能性이 예상되며 앞으로 硏究할 必要가 있다고 본다. 8. 腹部 第 6 神經球는 排糞機能에 影響을 미친다. This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of Silkgland growth, Spinning quantity, Fibroin Component ratio, Cocooning shape and changing the pupa coloration by resecting abdominal 2nd, 4th and 6th ganglia at both the time of 5 instar awakened larva and matured larva in silkworm. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Silkland growth was showed that resecting abdominal 2nd ganglion was more effective than those of abdominal 4th and 6th ganglia. 2. The shape of silkland was appeared as serpentining by resecting ganglia. 3. Spinning quantity was revealed that resecting abdominal 2nd ganglion was less than those of abdominal 4th and 6th ganglia. 4. Silkland growth and spinning quantity were revealed the same tendency in degree of increase. 5. Fibroin Component ratio of brave was seemed that abdominal 6th ganglion was moe effective than abdominal 2nd and 4th ganglia. 6. In the case of resecting ganglia, flimsy cocoon was formed at upper parts of cocoon and half of pupa body was mostly observed staying outside of cocoon in the cocoon shape at lower part of abdominal 4th ganglia. 7. Abdominal 2nd, 4th and 6th ganglia were expected to have a close connection with pupation and changing the pupa coloration. 8. Furction of evacuation was seemed to be controlled by abdominal 6th ganglia.

수부화상의 이차적 치료

A functionless hand resulting from the sequalae of a thermal burn is very serious. It prevents restoration of socioeconomic behavior. Since the magnitude of this problem is rewards for the most deligent and competent primary care greater. It can not be emphasized too strongly the result of good primary care are always superior to what one can expect from secondary restoration. The pathogenesis of the functionless hand is caused by a triad of factors resulting from thermal injury that together lead to the rapid stiffening of joints and adhesion of tendons. This triad of factors is edema, inflammation, and immobilization. (Beasley, 1981) Thus, the principles for primary care of burned hands leading to rapid recovery and minimal complications are now established and many kinds of methods are proposed. But, despite much effort, many circumstances prevent ideal primary care and we are still confronted with the need for secondary repairs. Secondary repair of burned hands requires a careful, cojmprehensive and individualized plan for each patien, and with due respect to all the patient's problems. We reviewed 42 cases of the postburn hand deformities which were operated on in our Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 1976 to 1981.

漁貝類의 色素에 關한 硏究 : 1. 진주담치의 CAROTENOID 1. Carotenoids in Sea Mussel, Mytilus edulis

In this study, Carotenoids of the sea mussel, Mytilus edulis, were separated on micro-cel C column and thin layer slides, and analyzed by spectrophotometry. In case of column chromatography, pigments were separated with acetone-petroleum ether solution, starting with 7% and ending with 20%. The separation was fairly good although some xanthophylls remained inseparated on the top of the column. On the micro-cel C thin layer slide, however, they were easily separated by the mixture solvent of dichloromethane, ethylacetate, and acetone(14:5:1:v/v). From the results, beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, and astacene were identified and a band was assumed mytiloxanthin. Some other bands were also isolated but remained unindentified because their spectral data and chromatographic behaviour were often unidentical comparing that of authentic pigments. The results also suggested that xanthophylls or their esters are dominant in sea mussel whereas carotenes are minor in both variety and quantity.
