In this work, a new type of UV flame detection system was developed. In order to measure the performance of UV flame detector, various kinds of experiments was performed. The results show that the maximum response time of the UV flame detector is 0.2 seconds when the detection distance is one meter The advantages of this system include wide area, high speed response and high sensitivity. After testing the W flame detector in engine compartment it detected fire within 0.09 seconds and extinguished within 5 seconds. Hence, the UV flame detector can be applied in automatic fire suppression system for automobiles.
Biodegradable polycaprolactone/cuttlebone scaffold composite using salt leaching process

We prepared biodegradable polycaprolactone/cuttlebone scaffold composite by salt leaching process. In the first step, a co-continuous blend of biodegradable materials, polycaprolactone (PCL) and cuttlebone (CB), and an amount of sodium chloride salt particles were mixed using a stirrer. Next, the extraction of mineral salts using de-ionized distilled water was performed using a biodegradable PCL/CB scaffold with fully interconnected pores. Finally, the durable morphology of the scaffolds was fabricated by freeze-drying process at −53 oC for 24 hrs in a vacuum. In addition,the quadrilateral pres ranged from about 250 to 300 μm in diameter. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and mercury intrusion porosimeter techniques were carried out to characterize the pore morphology. By increasing the CB and sodium chloride salt particle content, the number of interconnected pores, material properties, and pore morphology were dramatically changed. The average compressive strengths (load at 50% strain) of the different porous PCL/CB scaffolds were found to decrease from 133 to about 79 (load at 50% strain, gf) with an increase in porosity. The values of the porosity increased as the sodium chloride salt volume fraction increased

Objective: To improve the drug distribution and penetration depth in pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC), we developed a novel prototype for rotational intraperitoneal pressurized aerosol chemotherapy (RIPAC) to improve drug delivery into the peritoneum. In this study, we evaluated time-dependent absorption of doxorubicin, paclitaxel and cisplatin, and their adverse effects for RIPAC in a porcine model. Methods: Doxorubicin 0.04 mg/kg, paclitaxel 0.57 mg/kg, and cisplatin 0.21 mg/kg, corresponding to about 10% dose of intravenous chemotherapy, were sprayed as aerosol during RIPAC, and capnoperitoneum at the abdominal pressure of 12 mmHg was maintained for 30 minutes in each three pigs. To analyze time-dependent absorption of these three drugs in serum, we collected serum samples for each swine at 11 time-dependent points: preoperative, every 15 minutes for two hours postoperatively, postoperative day 1 (POD1) and 2 (POD2). To evaluate tissue concentration of drug, we obtained the peritoneal tissue specimens at 12 different areas of the abdominal cavity. To evaluate adverse events, we also compared serum values of AST, ALT, GGT, bilirubin, ALP, creatinine and CRP at 7 time-dependent points: preoperative, immediately postoperative (30 minutes), POD1 to POD5. Results: The maximum concentrations of doxorubicin in serum was observed at 15 and 40 minutes, after that it decreased gradually, whereas the concentrations of paclitaxel and cisplatin increased with time. However, the concentration in tissues was maximized in central and pelvis for doxorubicin, in left flank and right lower for paclitaxel, and in pelvis for cisplatin. And there were no adverse events among these three drugs after RIPAC. Conclusion: Although the pattern of time-dependent serum levels was different among doxorubicin, paclitaxel and cisplatin, RIPAC improved drug delivery in lower abdominal cavity without adverse events.

국내 무선 인터넷은 서로 다른 플랫폼을 사용하는 콘텐츠 제공자의 개발환경이 서로 상이하여 무선 인터넷 활성화의 저해 요인이 되고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 창립된 한국 무선 인터넷 표준화 포럼(KWISF; Korea Wireless Internet Standardization Forum)에서 개발한 무선 인터넷 플랫폼인 WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability)의 사용으로 무선 응용프로그램의 상호 운용 및 하드웨어에 대한 독립성을 보장할 수 있게 되었다. 논문에서는 현재의 서로 다른 플랫폼에서 발생하는 비용을 절감할 수 있는 표준 플랫폼인 WIPI의 특징과 주요규격을 살펴보고, 최근 사용되는 있는 휴대폰간의 채팅 서비스의 편리성을 고려한 상용어구 기능을 설계 및 구현하고, 이를 통하여 휴대폰의 문자입력 속도의 향상과 그로 인하여 발생하는 효과에 대해 논하고자 한다. Mobile Internet has different platforms cause interrupt activation of mobile internet because contents providers have each different development environment. To use of WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) developer by KWISF(Korea Wireless Internet Standard Forum) founded to solve this problem guarantee independence of hardware and interpretation of mobile applicatior. In this paper, Examine WIPI's characteristic and main standard that is standard platform that can reduce expense that happen in current different platform in treatise. And, common use phrase function that consider convenience of chatting service between portable phone that is that is used recently design and embody. Wish to argue about elevation of the character input speed of portable phone and effect that happen thereby through this.
방사선 검사에 사용되는 조영제 Iopamidol의 안전성 평가

Contrast media are substances that are used to enhance the contrast of structures or fluids within the body in medical imaging. Those are commonly used to enhance the visibility of blood vessels and the gastrointestinal tract. The aim of this study is to evaluate patients who got injected iopamidol, developed as one of contrast medium regarding changes in cardiovascular system and especially, adverse drug reactions. This study were performed on randomly selected a total of 51 patients (range of 15~85 years old) who got injected contrast medium, Iopamidol at a P hospital in Gyeonggi province from September 22nd, 2008 to January 24th, 2009. Data were collected by questionnaire though person to person. We analyzed the data by SPSS (Version 12. for windows). Methods of analysis were frequency and cross analysis. In results, 19.6% (n=10) were founded for adverse drug reactions of contrast medium. 25.0% (n=4) of 10 patients who had adverse drug reactions of contrast medium had took abdomen contrast test. 2 patients of those took contrast test for chest. Also, 3.9% (n=2) patients felt vomiting and nausea after injection of contrast medium. In conclusion, 19.6% patients experienced adverse drug reaction of contrast medium. Therefore, when taking radiation test, we should make efforts to minimize adverse drug reactions to achieve suitable and effective treatment.

Rats 를 이용한 Iso - butylalcohol 의 아만성 흡입독성 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the toxic effects of iso-butylalcohol on Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats which were treated 0, 333, 1,000 and 3,000 ppm for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 13 weeks by inhalation. Iso-butylalcohol did not induce any abnormal change in the viewpoint of clinical signs, feed consumption, ophthalmic test, urinalysis, hematology and blood biochemistry during and at the termination of the inhalation toxicity test. We did not find any abnormal findings in the gross and microscopic observations due to the inhalation of iso-butylalcohol. There was no alteration in relative organ weight owing to the inhalation of the iso-butylalcohol. In conclusion, concentration was 3,000 ppm in rats under the inhalation of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 13 weeks. Iso-butylalcohol did not show any change in the clinical signs, feed consumption, ophthalmic test, urinalysis, hematology and blood biochemistry, together with no alteration in the gross and pathological findings.
