A 8-year-old, intact male Yorkshire Terrier Dog was presented with dark-black mass on the third digits of the left forelimb. Three months earlier, the dog had experienced an episode of digit amputation because of growing mass with ulcerated nodule of the same area. According to the owner, the recurrence of the mass appeared suddenly and was growing rapidly from the amputation site. The mass was more infiltrative than the first one and measured 1.5 cm in diameter. The clinical signs were anorexia, coughing, respiratory distress, exercise intolerance, cardiac murmurs, and cyanosis on the oral mucous membrane. Plain radiographic findings revealed multiple, various-sized(0.5 to 7 cm in diameter), slightly firm-nodules on the thoracic region but digital bone lysis was not seen. These lesions on the thoracic cavity were considered likely to be metastatic from the digit and the dog was naturally died after 3 weeks from the time. Histologically, the digital mass confirmed the diagnosis of metastatic malignant melanoma that was composed of round melanocytic neoplastic, anaplastic, and melanin-containing cells. This report records clinical information and gross and light microscopic features of metastatic malignant melanoma in a dog.

Hydrocepbalus may be an acquired or a congenital condition. We have studied the macroscopic and microscopic changes in the hydrocephalus of an inbred Sprague-Dawley rat at postnatal week 8. The animal suspected with the hydrocephalus showed clinical syndromes such as depression, severe ataxia, eye abnormalities, dome-shaped head, and persistent fontanelle. With the postmortem examination, the suspected animal was clearly revealed as a severe internal hydrocephalus. In this animal, severe ventriculomegaly was limited to the third and lateral ventricles, and cortical thining was most apparent in the parieto-occipital region. With the routine histological examination, brain tissue showed aqueductal obstruction, thinning of the cerebral cortex, severe ependymal damage, subependymal edema, damage of choroid plexus of fourth ventricle, enlarged cortical vessels, and expanded ventricles. Aqueductal obstruction was observed with the appearance of simple stenosis at the level of rostral colliculus. Subsequently, the other structures of brain such as septal nucleus, caudate nucleus, and hippocampus etc. were abnormally reconstructed by hydrocephalus. This study suggests that the hydrocephalus can be taken place by primary aqueductal obstruction and this type of hydrocephalus is classified as uncommunicating type. Though the mechanism of aqueductal obstruction is not clear, the morphological studies of this case may be helpful for the further study of hydrocephalus.
KSIC-IPC를 이용한 산업융합 평가모형 연구: 자동차 분야를 중심으로

With the growing interest in convergence, there have been various attempts to measure convergence, but the definition of convergence is ambiguous and consensus on appropriate indicators has not been reached, so measurement of convergence is still at a rudimentary stage. In this study, using the KSIC-IPC linkage table developed by the Korean Intellectual Property Office to analyze the correlation and impact of patents, industry, economy, and population, we propose a new evaluation model that can evaluate industry convergence from patent data. In addition, it was verified whether the industry convergence derived from this properly reflects the corporate convergence characteristics. As a result of classifying the convergence of 39,740 patents owned by global major automobile companies, and evaluating the degree of convergence of each company, it was confirmed that the industry convergence derived using the KSIC-IPC linkage table better reflects the corporate convergence characteristics than the technology convergence classified by IPC co-classification. Therefore, the industry convergence data of automotive sector derived from the new industry convergence evaluation model using the KSIC-IPC linkage table is expected to be widely used for future convergence research. 융합에 관한 관심이 고조되면서 융합을 측정하고자 하는 다양한 시도들이 이루어지고 있으나, 융합의 정의가 모호하고, 측정 지표에 대한 컨센선스가 이루어지지 않아 융합의 측정에 대해서는 더욱 많은 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 한국특허청에서 특허와 경제, 산업, 인구 등과의 영향도 및 상관관계를 분석할 수 있도록 개발한 산업(KSIC)-특허(IPC) 연계표를 이용하여 특허 데이터로부터 산업융합을 평가할 수 있는 신규 평가 모형을 제안하고, 이로부터 도출된 산업융합이 기업의 융합특성을 제대로 반영하는지를 여부를 실증하였다. 글로벌 주요 자동차 기업들이 보유한 39,740건 특허의 융합여부를 각각 분류하고, 각 기업의 융합도를 평가한 결과, KSIC-IPC 연계표를 이용하여 도출된 산업융합은 동시분류분석으로 분류된 기술융합보다 기업의 융합특성을 보다 잘 반영한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 KSIC-IPC 연계표를 이용한 신규 산업융합 평가모델로부터 도출된 자동차 분야 산업융합 자료는 향후 융합연구에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
3<SUP>rd</SUP> Party 기업의 인공지능플랫폼 참여방법과 효과에 관한 연구: 국내 통신사 사례를 중심으로

본 연구는 3<SUP>rd</SUP> Party (서비스 파트너사) 기업들이 인공지능플랫폼을 활용하기 위한 참여 인센티브 및 참여동기와 그 효과를 알아보기 위해 진행되었다. 인공지능플랫폼이 AIaaS(AI as a Service)로 진화해감에 따라 플랫폼간 경쟁이 심화되고 있으며, 각자의 플랫폼 생태계를 강화하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 이들 인공지능 플랫폼이 생태계 내에서 3<SUP>rd</SUP> Party들을 어떤 수단으로 참여시키고 유인하고 있는지, 또한 3<SUP>rd</SUP> Party 입장에서 플랫폼의 참여 동기와 효과가 무엇인지 등에 대한 연구가 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내의 통신기업 사례를 제시하여 3<SUP>rd</SUP> Party 입장에서 인공지능플랫폼에 참여할 방법과 활용방안에 대한 구체적인 방안을 제시하고 이에 따른 참여 효과를 설명하고자 한다. This study was conducted to investigate participation incentives, participation motivations, and effects for 3rd party (service partner) companies to use AI platforms. As the artificial intelligence platform evolves into AI as a Service (AIaaS), competition between platforms is intensifying, and a lot of efforts are being made to strengthen each platform ecosystem. However, there is still a lack of research on how these AI platforms engage and induce 3rd parties in the ecosystem, and what are the motivations and effects of the platform"s participation from the perspective of 3rd parties. Therefore, in this study, a case of domestic telecommunication companies was presented, and a specific method for participation in the AI platform from the standpoint of a 3rd party and a method of utilization was conducted, and a study was conducted on the effect of participation.

This study was performed to investigate of dental plaque, calculus and gingival inflammation in Beagle dogs. Forty adults Beagle dogs (28 male and 12 female) were used in this study. The dogs weighed 9.5 kg and were in good oral and systemic health as determined by physical examination, and all dogs had full and normal dentition. The dogs were given a commercial pellet feed during 2 years period. For all examination procedures, the dogs were premedicated with a subcutaneous injection of atropine sulfate (0.04mg/kg). Anesthesia was induced and maintained by intravenous administration of ketamine (8mg/kg) and xylazine (2mg/kg). Dental plaque, calculus and gingival inflammation were assessed by Logan and Boyce clinical plaque index. Calculi covering the maxillary carnassial and first molar teeth were extensive and were accompanied by severe gingival inflammation and pocket formation. Calculi, accompanied by gingival inflammation, were clearly evident on buccal surfaces of other teeth. Calculi didn't showed on the lingual surfaces, but linguogingival inflammation formed in premolar teeth. Although the general pattern was clear, there was considerable variation among dogs in the rate of deposition of calculus and extend of gingival inflammation. This investigation suggest that feeding of the commercial dry food without dental hygiene increase plaque accumulation and may be a contributing factor in calculi formation and periodontal disease.
