PC기반 시야검사를 통한 효과적인 시선고정 유도방법 연구

Purpose: The present study explored novel methods in visual field tests that actively induce the gaze of the examinee to the fixation target in the center vision and compared their effectiveness. Methods: Four gaze induction methods (dot-on, dot-off, number-on, and number-off) were prepared by combining 2 types of fixation targets (dot and number) and 2 conditions of sound presence (on and off). The gaze induction methods were implemented to a PC-based visual field testing system and the 24-2 visual field testing protocol was administered to 14 participants without glaucoma. The performance of the gaze induction method was evaluated in terms of fixation error rate, target detection rate, and subjective satisfaction (7-point scale, 1 for least satisfied and 7 for most satisfied). Results: The fixation error rates of dot-on (5.7%) and number-on (6.4%) were relatively lower than the other methods; the target detection rates of the induction methods were very high (95-96%) without significant differences, and the subjective satisfaction levels of dot-on (5.7) and number-on (5.4) were significantly higher than the other methods. Conclusions: In the present study we determined number-on as the preferred effective gaze induction method compared to the conventional dot-off method when fixation error rates and subjective satisfaction were considered.
산학협력 및 기술이전 촉진을 위한 텍스트마이닝과 사회 네트워크 분석 기반의 특허 분석 방법

지식기반 경제에서 산학협력의 중요성이 커짐에 따라 산학협력에 대한 지원과 연구들이 증가함에도 불구하고 산학협력의 특허 성과인 기술이전 및 기술료 수입은 낮은 편인데, 그 이유는 사업화 가치가 없는 특허들을 과도하게 출원하였기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 산학협력 및 기술이전이 가능한 특허를 분석하는 방법을 제안한다. 분석을 위한 특허데이터는 WIPSON을 통하여 4개 대학, 1,061개 특허정보를 수집하여 분석에 활용하였다. 분석 방법은 대학이 보유한 산학협력단의 미국 특허를 대상으로 Quality-Strategy Matrix를 작성하고, Matrix의 Advanced Quality Technology 영역의 특허를 대상으로 텍스트마이닝과 사회네트워크 분석을 실시한 뒤, 핵심 키워드와 IPC 코드를 도출하여 대학별 핵심특허를 분석하였다. 분석결과, H 대학은 4개의 핵심특허와 2개의 핵심 IPC 코드를 도출하였으며, K 대학의 경우 4개의 핵심특허와 2개의 핵심 IPC 코드, Y 대학의 경우 6개의 핵심특허와 1개의 핵심 IPC 코드, 마지막으로 S 대학의 경우 14개의 핵심특허와 2개의 핵심 IPC 코드를 각각 도출하였다. 본 연구는 산학협력 및 기술이전이 가능한 특허와 IPC 코드를 분석하여 대학의 산학협력의 활성화에 기여하는데 그 의의가 있다. Today, according to the increased importance of industry-university cooperation in the knowledge-based economy, support and the number of researches involved in industryuniversity cooperation has also steadily increased. But it is true that profits from the outcome of patents resulting from such cooperation, such as technology transfer and royalty fees, are lower than they are supposed to be, because of excessive patents applications, although some of them have little commercial potential. Therefore, this research aims to suggest a way to analyze and recognize patents, which enable efficient industry-university cooperation and technology transfer. For the analysis, data on 1,061 patents was collected from 4 different universities. With the data, a quality-strategy matrix was arranged targeting the industryuniversity cooperation foundations, US patents owned by universities, text mining, and social network analysis were carried out, particularly focusing on the patents in the advanced quality technology section of the matrix. Then core key words and IPC codes were obtained and key patents were analyzed by universities. As a result of the analysis, it was found that 4 key patents, 2 key IPC codes were drawn for University H, 4 key patents, 2 key IPC codes for University K, 6 key patents, 1 key IPC code for University Y, 14 key patents, and 2 key IPC codes for University S. This research is expected to have a great significance in contributing to the invigoration of industry-university cooperation based on the analysis result on patents and IPC codes, which enable efficient industry-university cooperation and technology transfer.
Improvement of fairness between assured service TCP users in a differentiated service network

To support Quality of Service (Qos) in the existing Internet, Differentiated Service (Diff-Serv) has been proposed. But, the unfairness between TCP connections remains as a serious problem not only in the conventional best-effort service Internet but also in new Diff-Serv network. In this paper, we propose the Balancing Marker Algorithm (BMA) improving the fairness between individual connections of aggregated sources in a Diff-Serv network. This algorithm is based on the 3-level priority marking method. We compared the 2-level packet priority marker with the Balancing Marker proposed in this paper. And we showed that the BMA improved the fairness and the throughputs between the individual connections with different delays in an aggregated source.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to develop outcome indicators in clinical trials of herbal drugs effective for asthma. cough and sputum. To accomplish the objective, this study collected outcome indicators developed and used according to conventional medical concepts. Methods : Our research group reviewed SCI papers concerned with developing outcome indicators to evaluate amelioration of asthma, cough and sputum. We also reviewed clinical trials of herbal drugs effective for them. Results : To evaluate asthma, objective as well as subjective methods were chosen according to the purpose of each trial. Objective methods were PEF, FEVl, serum IgE, peripheral eosinophil counts, and so on. Subjective methods were symptom scores, symptom diaries, quality of life measures, etc. To evaluate cough and sputum, objective and subjective methods were also chosen. Objective methods were tussigenic challenges, sputum induction and computerized methodology, and subjective methods were similar to the methodology evaluating asthmatic symptoms. Conclusions : It is desirable for a clinical trial evaluating herbal drugs for asthma, cough and sputum to use objective and subjective outcome indicators together. However, biological outcome indicators, a kind of objective methods, can not be chosen as the purpose of trial. Valid and reliable subjective outcome indicators are needed to develop good clinical trials of herbal drugs effective for asthma, cough and sputum.

Generally, angle pieces at the corners of cargo tank of membrane type LNG carrier ship are manually welded, due to their various shapes and positions. In this study, a GTA welding robot system was developed in order to improve productivity, which consists of a 7-axis manipulator, a system controller, a GTA welding power source, and peripheral devices. The welding system is characterized by capabilities of welding corrugated work pieces as well as 90/135 degree linear work pieces, and controlling the entire weld cycle automatically. The developed system was field tested on actual work pieces and its performance was proven to be successful.
