        A Study on the Self-Leadership of Flight Attendant

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the self-leadership of flight attendant and organizational effectiveness, the self-leadership of flight attendant and customer orientation, and the organizational effectiveness and customer orientation. Research design, data and methodology : To examine these research models, samples were collected from 318 flight attendants during Nov to Dec, 2019. Research Model established hypothesis 1 and hypothesis 2 that the three elements of self-leadership will affect organizational effectiveness and customer orientation. It also established hypothesis 3 that organizational effectiveness will affect customer orientation Results : The analysis on the effect of self-leadership have positive effect both on job satisfaction and organizational immersion. As a result of the relationship between organizational effectiveness and customer orientation, job satisfaction and organizational immersion have positive effect on both voluntary customer orientation and business customer orientation. Conclusions : Self-leadership affected positively on job satisfaction, organizational immersion and business customer orientation. the company have to provide flight attendant with incentives when they achieve good results. Also, company have to expand flight attendant's authority in their work environment. Organizational effectiveness affected positively on customer orientation so company have to give flight attendants with consistent seminars about company's vision and goal.

      • 공공 보건 위기 상황에서 비영리조직의 역할에 관한 연구

        코로나바이러스감염증-19의 발생으로 인해 감염병 대응에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 감염병은 홍수, 태풍 등과 같이 자연재난으로 분류되지만, 동시에 전통적 자연재난과는 다른 특징을 가지고 있다. 하지만 다른 주요 자연재난만큼의 관심을 받아오지 못 하였다. 감염병 관리를 위해 선제적 대응이 중요하다는 점(Binder et al., 1999)과 국가간, 기관간 협동이 중요하다는 점(Buse, 2004)을 고려하면 공중보건 위기상황에서 어떤 조직들이 등장해 활동하는지 알아볼 필요가 있다. 특히 공공기관보다 유동적이고 지역사회와 밀접한 비영리단체의 역할을 조명하고자 한다. 본 연구는 미국 주요 신문사의 뉴스기사와 미국 14개 주정부의 보도자료를 바탕으로 감염병 대응에 가장 많이 참여한 비영리단체를 파악하고 서비스 유형을 분류하였다. 이들의 특성을 분석한 결과, 교육 분야의 비영리조직이 가장 자주 재난 대응에 참여한 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 비영리조직의 전문분야는 교육을 포함해 건강, 자선사업 및 봉사, 공동체 발전에 다양하게 분포하고 있었다. 제공하는 서비스 유형을 보면, 사례관리, 재정, 식량지원이 비영리조직들이 가장 빈번하게 제공하는 서비스로 나타났다. 한편 감염병의 특성으로 인해 기존 유형에서 벗어난 서비스들이 제공되었다는 것을 파악할 수 있었다.

        대학 교양 영어 수업에서 코칭형 플립러닝 기반 교수법에 대한 학습자들의 인식

        With an emergence of the 4th Industrial Revolution, innovative reform in teaching and learning field has been emphasized greatly. To meet this goal, several teaching methods have been discussed. Among them, flipped learning has been evaluated as a learner-leading method that fosters self-directed learning and participation. Considering such aspects of flipped learning, the present study aims to explore the college-level EFL learners’ voices toward flipped learning in English course. Along with flipped learning, three types of coaching including self, peer, instructor were implemented in the study. A total of 22 college students at an elective English course participated in the study. The course was managed as a flipped learning course and the students were required to complete three English writing tasks implementing three types of coaching. According to the result, students considered flipped learning as a method to facilitate self-directed learning habit. However, the students stressed the systematic preparation of the class and the responsibility of the teacher and learner as well. Students also reacted positively toward the three types of coaching. The students also noted that rubric for peer coaching is needed.

        토론 기반 Flipped Learning 운영에 대한 대학생 영어 학습자의 인식조사 사례 연구

        The current study aims to explore the model of team-teaching based flipped learning class in English linguistics class. Also, the study plans to investigate the EFL learners’ overall perceptions toward the flipped learning class. The data were collected from various sources in order to ensure the reliability of the study. The followings were elicited from the current study. First, flipped learning course can be divided into three parts including pre-activity, in-class activity, and post-activity. Second, it is important for instructors to offer various activities to foster learners’ participation. Third, instructors should consider students’ current linguistic levels when preparing pre-class activities.

        Leaner Perspectives toward Collaborative Writing Projects Using SNSs in an EFL College Context

        The ultimate goal of this study is to explore how EFL learners react to collaborative writing projects in an EFL context using online mode. Also, the study aims to explore learners’ general perspectives about collaboration. According to the data, the participants of the present study showed positive attitudes toward using Kakaotalk and Google Plus in their collaborations. However, they also recognized the importance of including offline discussion as well. In terms of learners’ general perspectives toward a collaborative writing project, the participants in general reported positive attitudes toward it.

        교양영어 읽기전략 훈련의 효과분석

        The main aim of the present study is to investigate the effects of strategic instruction and learners’ reading strategy use in the curriculum of general English education. The data were gathered from 97 university students in general English classes at H university in Korea. Throughout the experiment, the participants were given opportunities to learn about various reading strategies via teacher modeling. They were also given chances to practice their learned strategies through peer feedback and group discussion. In order to elicit the effects of strategic instruction and learners’ reading strategy use, midterm and final test scores were yielded as well. According to the result, the participants’ reading scores showed improvement after they were exposed to the strategic instruction. Since students received explicit strategic instruction including modeling, experiencing, practicing, and receiving feedback from peers as well as the instructor, these could be the underlying reasons that can explain students’ increased reading achievement. 본 연구는 토익 기반 대학 교양영어 수업에서 외국어 독해 훈련이 학습자들의 읽기 성취도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는 데 초점을 두었다. 연구 대상은 H대학에 재학 중인 교양영어 수강생 97명이었다. 교양영어 수업에서 학생들은 다양한 읽기전략에 대한 교수자의 명시적 설명 및 모델링을 접한 후 토익 독해를 비롯한 다양한 장르의 읽기 자료에 대해 스스로 읽기전략을 선택해 체험해보고 동료 피드백과 토론에 임함으로써 읽기전략을 강화하는 훈련을 하였다. 읽기전략의 훈련이 학습자들의 독해성취도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 학습자들의 중간고사 및 기말고사 독해시험 성적이 비교 분석되었으며, 그 결과 중간고사와 기말고사의 평균 점수는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 10차시에 걸쳐 읽기전략 훈련을 받으면서 단순히 명시적인 전략 설명을 뛰어넘어 교수자의 모델링-학습자의 소리 내어 생각하기 활동-동료 피드백 및 토론의 과정을 거치며 학생들이 읽기전략을 직접 체험하고 그 필요성을 강하게 인지함으로써 독해전략 사용이 강화된 결과라고 할 수 있다. 읽기전략에 대한 학습자의 사전, 사후 의식의 변화를 분석한 결과 보편적 전략 및 지원적 전략에서는 여러 항목에서 통계적으로 유의미한 변화를 보인데 비해 문제해결 전략에서는 유의미한 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

        A Case Study of the Perspectives of ESL Teachers and Learners on Recasts

        The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore the perspectives of ESL learners and teachers toward recasts. Also, this study attempts to capture when and how ESL teachers offer recasts in language classrooms. The findings indicate that recasts were provided to grammatical errors, incomplete sentences, phonological errors, and lexical items. Among them, grammatical errors received most recasts. Regarding the teachers’ perspectives, they tended to see it necessary to offer recasts to learners’ ill-formed utterances. They further emphasized the importance of offering self-repair opportunities to learners. Similar to the teachers, learners also recognized the crucial role of recasts in their language development process. At the same time, language learners placed strong emphasis on language teachers’ explicit alert when recast feedback was underway.

        영작문 수업에서 교사 피드백에 대한 학습자 인식 및 반응 조사

The main aim of this paper is to explore EFL college learners' perspectives toward written feedback in English composition class. In this study, the researcher offered L1 and L2 feedback to the participants' six different compositions. By doing this, the participants could experience both L1 and L2 feedback. Regarding data collection, survey, interview, classroom observation and field notes were applied. According to the result, the participants appreciated both L1 and L2 feedback and perceived both types of feedback as an important means to improve their English writing proficiency. At the same time, the participants suggested that teachers' feedback should be given to every stage of writing process in order to have productive outcome. The participants also mentioned that L2 feedback can be helpful in learning vocabulary. However, they stated that L2 feedback was not helpful in improving grammatical knowledge. (Hannam University)

        Infrequent-Restriction-Site 중합효소 연쇄 반응(ISR-PCR)을 사용 한 지역사회 발생 Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) 생성 대장균(Escherichia coli )의 분자역학적 분석 및 Pulsedfield gel electrophoresis (PFGE)와의 비교

        Background: We evaluated the ability of infrequent restriction site-polymerase chain reaction (IRS-PCR) to perform molecular epidemiologic analysis of Community-Onset Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli , and also assessed the use of PFGE as an alternative method. Materials and Methods: IRS-PCR assay was performed using combinations of adaptors for XbaI and HhaI restriction sites on clinical isolates of E. coli (n=51). We compared the discriminatory power, quality and efficiency of IRS-PCR to PFGE. Results: In E. coli , PFGE discriminated 39 (76.4%) and IRS-PCR discerned 41 (80.3%)of the total 51 strains. It took much less time to complete IRS-PCR (one day) than PFGE (at least 4 days). Conclusions: IRS-PCR is a more sensitive and rapid alternative to PFGE for molecular epidemiologic analysis of E. coli .
