This paper proposes robust ship wake search method in the target evasion environment. Moving surface ships generate a long trailing wake in the rear of a surface ship. Wake homing torpedo sensing this wake can detect the surface target and engage it automatically. In wake homing torpedo, wake search method is important element to maximize effectiveness of wake homing torpedo. This paper proposes one-side, two-side and centering mode according to passing wake boundary scenarios. Also, wake deflection angle is deduced by using the principle of deflection angle of acoustic torpedo. The representative experimental results using monte-carlo simulation demonstrate that the searching method using one-side mode is superior to two-side and centering mode in the target evasion environment.

This paper proposes a flexible and highly reusable modeling methodology for a next-generation combat entity which enables joint analysis of performance/engagement effectiveness. According to the scope of the proposed work, the paper is divided into two parts; Part 1 focuses on a conceptual model design, whereas Part 2 proposes detailed model specification and implementation. In Part 1, we, first, classify the combat entity model as combat logic and battlefield function sub-models for joint analysis. Based on the sub-models, we propose two dimensional model partition method, which creates six groups of a single combat entity model by two dimensions: three-activity and two-abstraction. This grouping enables us to reconfigure the combat entity model by sharing the same interface within the group, and the same interface becomes the fundamental basis of the flexible model composition. Furthermore, the proposed method provides a model structure that effectively reflects the real world and maximizes the multi-level reusability of a combat entity model. As a case study, we construct a model design for anti-surface ship warfare. The case study proves enhancement of model reusability in the process of scenario expansion from pattern running to wire guided torpedo operations.

Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) or the syndrome of allergic granulomatosis and angiitis is a kind of rare systemic vasculitis characterized by bronchilal asthma, peripheral eosinophilia, paranasal sinus abnormality, mono or polyneuropathy, pulmonary infiltrates nonfixed and pathological findings such as prominent eosinophilic infiltration, necrotizing angiitis and extravascular granuloma formation. Clinical features of CSS includes asthma, pulmonary infiltrates, cutaneous lesions, neuropathy, cardiac involvement, gastrointeastinal involvement, renal involvement and musculoskeletal involvement. The diagnosis of CSS is made on the basis of both clinical and pathologic features. We experienced a 30-year-old man who presented peripheral eosinophilia, asthma of two year`s duration, lower extremity weakness and lung infiltrations. His lung and skin biopsy showed eosinophilic infiltrates and eosinophilic vasculitis. He was diagnosed as Churg-Strauss syndrome based on the clinical manifestations and pathologic finding of lung and skin. He was managed with 3 times of plasmapheresis and methylprednisolone 1.0 g/day of 3 days followed by oral prednisolone 50mg/day and cyclophosphamide 2mg/kg. Clinical symptoms, laboratory and X-ray findings of the patient were improved at 7 days after treatment. After discharge, he has been treated with cyclophosphamide and low dose prednisolone. We report a case CSS with review of the literatures.

최근 갤럭시S, 아이폰4를 비롯한 첨단 스마트폰의 보급과 3G, 무선랜(Wi-Fi)등의 이동통신무선망의 고도화로 인해 영상통화에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 메시지 전송과 음성통화의 기술을 넘어, 현재의 3G 무선망 통신을 이용한 모바일 영상통화에 이르기까지 전화는 기술적 측면에서 무서운 속도로 발전해 왔고, 이는 사용자들의 전화에 대한 인식과 커뮤니케이션의 방법에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 하지만 모바일 영상통화는 모바일 기기의 고성능화, 첨단 이동통신환경의 구축에도 불구하고, 그 활용도는 너무나도 저조하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 먼저 음성통화에 비해 이렇다 할 성과를 거두지 못하고 있는 모바일 영상통화의 현황에 대해 살펴본 뒤, 모바일 영상통화를 이루는 구성요소들은 무엇이며, 어떤 특징을 가지고 있는지, 그리고 영상통화의 활성화를 위해 가장 고려되어야 할 것은 무엇인지에 대해 텔레프레즌스 경험을 통해 살펴보고자 한다.
