Pressure coefficient in a rotating discharge hole was measured to gain insight into the influence of rotation on the discharge characteristics of rotating discharge holes. Pressures inside the hole were measured by a telemetry system that had been developed by the authors. The telemetry system is characterized by the diversity of applicable sensor type. In the present study, the telemetry system was modified to measure static pressure using piezoresistive pressure sensors. The pressure sensor is affected by centrifugal force and change of orientation relative to the gravity. The orientation of sensor installation for minimum rotating effect and zero gravity effect was found out from the test. Pressure coefficients in a rotating discharge hole were measured in longitudinal direction as well as circumferential direction at various rotating speeds and three different pressure ratios. From the results, the behaviors of pressure coefficient that cannot be observed by a non-rotating setup were presented. It was also shown that the discharge characteristics of rotating discharge hole is much more influenced by the Rotation number irrespective of pressure ratio.
Holland의 진로유형에 따른 진로의사결정 특징에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate the career decision-making features by the career types of high school students. The specific research questions for this purpose were: 1) How different are career decision-making features according to career types in high school students. 2) How different is career decision-making according to consistency of career types? and 3) How different is career decision-making according to positive answering rate of career types? In this study, the subjects were 533 male and 654 female students attending high school in Pusan. and they were given two tests. The instrument used to measure career decision making features is a career decision-making tests. A career investigation test developed by Ahn(1995) was used to find Holland's career types. Data collected were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance to determine career decision-making features according to career types in this study. The results can be summarized as follows: First, according to Holland's career types, there were significant differences in each career decision-making feature. Second, according to consistency-degree, there were significant differences in each career decision-making feature, except certainty variable. Adjacent types had the highest scores and thoughtfulness. Opposite types were high in dependent variable. Third, according to the degree of positive answering rate(P). there were significant differences in both career decision-making certainty and thoughtfulness and dependent variables. Results of this study will serve as useful individual information in career counseling. Furthermore it is required to use other scales to survey Holland's Positive answering rate and differenciation concepts according to career types.

Pressure coefficients in rotating discharge hole were measured in longitudinal direction and circumferential direction with various rotating speed and 3 pressure ratios. From the results, the pressure coefficient, and therefore the discharge coefficient, is known to decrease with the increase of Ro number owing to the increase of flow approaching angle to the discharge hole inlet. However, there exists critical Ro number where the decrease rate of discharge coefficient with the increase of Ro number changes abruptly; flow separation occurs from the discharge hole exit at this critical Ro number. Critical Ro number increases with the increase of length-to-diameter ratio, but the increase is small where the length-to-diameter ratio is higher than 3. The decrease rate of discharge coefficient with the increase of Ro number depends on the pressure recovery at the discharge hole, and the rate is different from each length-to-diameter ratio; it has tendency that the short discharge hole shows higher decrease rate of discharge coefficient.

We compared the outcomes of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation using reduced intensity and myeloablative conditioning for the treatment of patients with advanced hematological malignancies. A total of 75 adult patients received transplants from human leukocyte antigen-matched donors, coupled with either reduced intensity (n=40; fludarabine/melphalan, 28; fludarabine/cyclophosphamide, 12) or myeloablative conditioning (n=35, busufan/cyclophosphamide). The patients receiving reduced intensity conditioning were elderly, or exhibited contraindications for myeloablative conditioning. Neutrophil and platelet engraftment occurred more rapidly in the reduced intensity group (median, 9 days vs. 18 days in the myeloablative group, p<0.0001; median 12 days vs. 22 days in the myeloablative group, p=0.0001, respectively). Acute graft-versus-host disease (≥≥grade II) occurred at comparable frequencies in both groups, while the incidence of hepatic veno-occlusive disease was lower in the reduced intensity group (3% vs. 20% in the myeloablative group, p=0.02). The overall 1-yr survival rates of the reduced intensity and myeloablative group patients were 44% and 15%, respectively (p=0.16). The results of present study indicate that patients with advanced hematological malignancies, even the elderly and those with major organ dysfunctions, might benefit from reduced intensity transplantation.
