      • 윤이상의 주요음기법을 통하여 나타난 도교사상(Interludium A를 중심으로)

        Isang Yun is one of the great artists from 20th century who combined East Asian art and philosophy to Western music, and produced a music that is performed by Western instruments. In Germany, he got the title of `The Most Important 56 composers in 20th century`, `Living 5th Composer in Europe`, and `The Most Important Composer in 20th century`. Isang Yun`s musics are considerable to European artists. His musics contain unique characteristics in which artists from Europe can not modify. Isang Yun who recognized Western and Eastern culture in a principle of music got spotlight from European musicians. Ideas Isang Yun focused on are Taoism, Buddhism, and `tone` concept from East Asia. He concentrated especially on Taoism. Idea of `Hauptton` which is basis of Isang Yun`s music originated from Eastern sound concept. Therefore, this thesis will be discussed on musical presentation and Taoism that are indulged in Isang Yun`s music through "Interludium A". This piece was created with creativity and unique characteristics of Isang Yun. His life in Korea and Europe, style of music during his life time, what is Taoism and balance of yin and yang, and analysis of hauptton in each parts will be discussed to prove the understanding and hidden meaning of "Interludium A".

      • Calabi-Yau Manifolds, Hermitian Yang-Mills Instantons, and Mirror Symmetry

        <P>We address the issue of why Calabi-Yau manifolds exist with a mirror pair. We observe that the irreducible spinor representation of the Lorentz group Spin(6) requires us to consider the vector spaces of two forms and four forms on an equal footing. The doubling of the two-form vector space due to the Hodge duality doubles the variety of six-dimensional spin manifolds. We explore how the doubling is related to the mirror symmetry of Calabi-Yau manifolds. Via the gauge theory formulation of six-dimensional Riemannian manifolds, we show that the curvature tensor of a Calabi-Yau manifold satisfies the Hermitian Yang-Mills equations on the Calabi-Yau manifold. Therefore, the mirror symmetry of Calabi-Yau manifolds can be recast as the mirror pair of Hermitian Yang-Mills instantons. We discuss the mirror symmetry from the gauge theory perspective.</P>

        Effect of Al on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mg–Sn–Ca–Mn Wrought Alloy

        Mg–Sn–Ca–Mn–xAl (x = 0,1.5 wt%) alloys with ultra-fine recrystallized grains were prepared by conventional extrusion(400 °C, 0.5 mm/s). Effects of aluminum (Al) on mechanical properties and microstructure of the Mg–1Sn–1Ca–0.5Mn(wt%) alloy were systematically investigated. By the addition of 1.5 wt% Al, the yield strength of the as-extruded alloysignificantly increased from 183 to 237 MPa. The as-cast alloys show a dendritic structure consists of α-Mg, (Mg, Al)2Ca,and CaMgSn phases. The as-extruded Mg–1Sn–1Ca–0.5Mn–1.5Al alloys exhibit a bimodal grain structure composed ofdynamic recrystallized (DRXed) fine grains and coarse unDRXed grains. Compared with Al free alloy, a lot of nano-scaleplanar Al2Caand rectangle shape Al8Mn5precipitated in the as-extruded alloy with 1.5 wt% Al. Meanwhile, the addition ofAl significantly strengthened alloys’ fiber texture with < 10–10 >//ED.

        Emulsified fuel (mixed fuels with a small quantity of water) is suggested as a way of simultaneously diminishing NO_(x) and particulate matter. It is, therefore, an eco-friendly fuel and economical energy source. In this research, a comparative analysis between diesel fuel and emulsified fuel on their characteristics and the performance was done.

        루이스 캐롤의 앨리스의 모험 형성과정

        Lewis Carroll(1832-1898)'s Alice's Adventures went though several stages of transition, from its early oral conception and by way of the hand written MS of Under Ground to the printed Wonderland and its sequel, Looking-Glass, finally with Nursery. These changes over time are indicative of Carroll's writing attitude as a storyteller. The purpose of the study is to research the history of Alice's Adventures on the basis of Lewis Carroll's Diary and Letters. On the "lden afternoon"f July 4, 1862, Carroll told a tale of Alice's Adventures. Later, they were written down and printed out as Alice's adventures. Alice's Adventures are tales that have their readers and Alice jump into the rabbit's hole and go through Wonderland. Though Carroll had loved storytelling, he was robbed of his primary audience, the Liddell sisters especially Alice. It drove him to write down the Alice's Adventures. First Carroll composed the text of Underground and illustrated it for himself. It was intended for Alice only. The followings were intended for general readership. After new episodes were added with 42 illustrations by Tenniel, Wonderland finally appeared on July 4, 1865. It reached its third edition. Looking-Glass appeared in 1871. Tenniel exercised a strong influence on Carroll's composing those two works. Finally Nursery ,with coloured and enlarged pictures, was published in December, 1888. It was targeted at children below the age of five. Carroll told Alice's Adventures first. Later he wrote down, and printed them out in successive editions. Changes are also seen in the numerous modification in them. These changes over time are indicative of Carroll's writing attitude as a storyteller. It is why I researched the history of Alice's Adventures.

      • PZT-고분자 1-3-0형 복합압전체의 압전 및 음향특성

        In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by the Wet-Dry combination method. And a flexible 1-3-0 type composite was fabricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix mixed the 3rd phase. Dielectric constant of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Thickness mode coupling factor kt(0.65) which was comparable with single phase PZT ceramics and mechanical quality factor Qm were about 6. These composites are considered as a good candidates for broad-band type transducer applications. The acoustic impedance of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Therefore, these composites would be better used for hydrophone applications.

        실물옵션을 활용한 발전소 건설 타당성 분석

        에너지산업의 여건 변화에 따라 투자사업 혹은 프로젝트의 경제성을 평가할 경우 기존 현금흐름할인법은 에너지사업의 여건 변화에 유연적으로 대처할 수 있는 운영상의 대안들을 제대로 고려하지 못하는 한계가 있다. 이에 따라, 새로운 대안으로서 수익성 분석에서 최근 널리 활용되고 있는 실물옵션가격결정법(real option pricing method : ROPM) 을 제시하고, 에너지 분야에서 ROPM의 적용 타당성을 논의하였다. 이와 함께, ROPM의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 특정 열병합발전소건설 및 운영 관련 투자사업에 대한 경제성 평가를 통해 기존 가치평가방식에 의한 결과와의 차이를 게시하였다. 시뮬레이션분석에서는 ROPM에 근거한 해당 프로젝트내에 존재하는 투자기회의 가치와 총 프로젝트 가치를 시산하였다. 분석 결과에 의하면, 기존의 현금흐름할인법에 비해 ROPM을 적용할 경우 투자기회의 가치가 상당수준 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 이로써, 기존 방식에 근거할 경우 경제성이 없다고 판단된 프로젝트가 ROPM을 적용할 경우 운영상의 유연성을 가치평가에 제대로 반영하여 경제성이 있는 프로젝트로 재평가 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다. As energy industry is undergoing a rapid structural changes, economic feasibility analysis based on the conventional discounted cash flow(DCF) mothod has limitations to incorporate management's flexibilities. We present a real options pricing method (ROPM) which can be applied to an energy sector as an alternative. In order to examine the usefulness of ROPM, this study compares the result of DCF method applied to the investment of cogeneration power plant with that based on the ROPM incoporating the value of real of options inherent in the project. The simulation results show that the value of investment opportunities improves using ROPM compared to that with the conventional DCF methods. Therefore, a specific project which appears to be unprofitable from the conventional point of view could be, actually, an economically feasible one based on ROPM method, when properly incorporating the management's flexibilities inherent in the project.

      • 저전력의 플립-플롭과 클럭 드라이버 설계

        본 논문에서는 VLSI 전체 전력소비에 있어 비중이 높은 클럭 시스템의 전압 스윙 폭을 줄여 전력소비를 감소시킬 수 있는 저전압 클럭용 플립플롭을 제안한다. 제안된 플립플롭이 저전압 스윙 클럭으로도 동작함을 증명하고 이 플립플롭과 연계하기 위한 실제 전압 폭 감소 클럭 드라이버를 설계하였으며, 이 클럭 드라이버에 의해 기존의 클럭 드라이버에서 발생하는 전력소비를 1/4가량 감소시킬 수 있음을 설명했다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 플립플롭과 클럭 드라이버간의 연계동작과 소비전력 감소 효과는 SPLICE simulation을 통해 검증하였다.

        The rational design of the coast protection works requires a knowledge of behaviour of the beach under natural conditions. The understanding of the relationship between the wave action on the beach and the characteristics of the beach profile produced, is thus necessary preliminarily for the analysis of the cause of beach erosion and the evaluation of the effect of projected remedial measures. Recently, coasts in the suburbs of the large cities are vanishing remarkably by the construction of seaside industrialsite, etc. As the leisure times are increase, bathbeachs become more crowded yearly than every before year. And hen, utilizers received much disorder. In this report, authors intended to investigated the geological changes and oceanographical characteristics of HAEUNDAE beach where erosion has been serious problems. Through the analysis of the investigated results, authors figured out that the main causes of the erosion at HAEUNDAE beach are wave condition and sand drift change.
