Superconducting MgB2 Wire Drawing Considering Anisotropic Hardening Behavior and Hydrostatic Effect

Numerical modeling was conducted to investigate the deformation behavior of powder mixture during multi-pass drawingprocesses for multi-filamentary MgB2wire. A modified Drucker-Prager Cap (DPC) model with an elliptical cap surface usingthe new material characterization method was developed to capture the anisotropic hardening behavior and hydrostatic effectof the powder mixture. A number of uniaxial die compaction, cold isostatic pressing, diametrical compression, and uniaxialcompression tests were conducted using different powder densities to characterize the modified DPC model. A commercialfinite element software ABAQUS with a user subroutine was used to simulate the drawing of the MgB2wire. The densityand area fraction of the powder mixture during the wire-drawing process were verified with experimental results. The differencein packing density at the inner and outer filaments of the MgB2wire was successfully captured by simulation. Inaddition, the effect of the initial packing density on the superconducting properties of MgB2wire was numerically studied. It is shown that the increase in the superconducting area, which results from a high initial packing density, should be moreeffective compared to the increase in the grain connectivity in enhancing the critical current properties for the MgB2wirewhen the final packing density is saturated after a number of drawing processes.
장애학생 관련 변인에 따른 비장애 학생의 통합태도 연구

장애학생 관련 변인에 따른 비장애 학생의 통합교육에 대한 태도 및 장애학생에 대한 친근감을 알아보기 위하여 본 연구를 수행하였으며, 연구 대상은 대구광역시 초등학교 5개교15학급 477명을 선정하였다. 연구 결과 장애학생의 통합에 대한 비장애 학생의 태도에 영향을 미치는 변인은 장애유형, 장애학생 성별, 장애학생의 청결상태이며, 영향을 미치지 않는 변인으로는 장애학생 부모의 관심도, 장애아 가정의 경제적 수준 그리고 장애학생의 학습 능력인 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes for integration education and the intimacy with disabled students of Nondisabled students influenced by disabled students. For such purpose, 477 students of 15 classes from 5 elementary schools located in Daegu Metropolitan City were selected as the object of this study. Integrated Attitudes was measured through an investigation equipment by Oh Won-Seok and Seo-Yeong Ran which adapted and modified a testing document called Inclusion of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Inventory (ISDHH) invented by Hsin-Ling Hung(2005). The result indicated that the factors which influence the Attitudes of nondisabled students regarding integration with disabled students are the type of injury, the gender and the cleanness of the disabled student. The factors which do not influence the above are interests of the disabled student``s parents, economic level of the family and the learning ability of the disabled student.
Cystic Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma: A Case of Undergoing Endoscopic Thyroid Lobectomy

On ultrasonography, medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) shows hypoechogenicity, an irregular margin, a predominantly solid composition, and microcalcifications, similar to those observed in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). MTC presenting as a cystic lesion is rare, and endoscopic thyroidectomy can be performed for benign thyroid masses and early stage PTC, however it is inappropriate for MTC regardless of cystic change. The authors report a case of cystic MTC found after endoscopic thyroid lobectomy and provide a review of the literature on this topic.

In this paper, $Al_2O_3$ film deposited by thermal atomic layer deposition (ALD) with diluted $NH_4OH$ instead of $H_2O$ was suggested for passivation layer and anti-reflection (AR) coating of the p-type crystalline Si (c-Si) solar cell application. It was confirmed that the deposition rate and refractive index of $Al_2O_3$ film was proportional to the $NH_4OH$ concentration. $Al_2O_3$ film deposited with 5 % $NH_4OH$ has the greatest negative fixed oxide charge density ($Q_f$), which can be explained by aluminum vacancies ($V_{Al}$) or oxygen interstitials ($O_i$) under O-rich condition. $Al_2O_3$ film deposited with $NH_4OH$ 5 % condition also shows lower interface trap density ($D_{it}$) distribution than those of other conditions. At $NH_4OH$ 5 % condition, moreover, $Al_2O_3$ film shows the highest excess carrier lifetime (${\tau}_{PCD}$) and the lowest surface recombination velocity ($S_{eff}$), which are linked with its passivation properties. The proposed $Al_2O_3$ film deposited with diluted $NH_4OH$ is very promising for passivation layer and AR coating of the p-type c-Si solar cell.

Background: This study is performed to evaluate anchor-related outcomes and complications after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair using 30% b-tricalcium phosphate (b-TCP) with 70% poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) biocomposite suture anchors. Methods: A total of 78 patients (mean age, 61.3 ± 6.9 years) who underwent arthroscopic medium-to-large full-thickness rotator cuff tear repair were enrolled. The technique employed 30% b-TCP with 70% PLGA biocomposite suture anchors at the medial row (38 patients, Healix BRTM anchor [Healix group]; 40 patients, Fixone anchor B [Fixone group]). The radiologic outcomes (including perianchor cyst formation or bone substitution) and anatomical outcomes of the healing failure rate were evaluated using magnetic resonance imaging at least 6 months after surgery, the pain visual analogue scale at 3, 6 months, and final follow-up visit, and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons scores at least 1 year postoperatively. Anchor-related complications were also evaluated. Results: The perianchor cyst formation incidence was similar for both groups (60.5%, Healix group; 60.0%, Fixone group; p=0.967), although severe perianchor cyst incidence was slightly lower in the Fixone group (15.0%) than in the Healix group (21.1%). There was no occurrence of anchor absorption and bone substitution. No differences were observed in the healing failure rate (13.2%, Healix group; 15.0%, Fixone group; p=0.815) and functional outcome between groups (all p>0.05). Anchor breakage occurred in 5 patients (2 Healix anchors and 3 Fixone anchors); however, there were no major anchor-related complications in either group. Conclusions: No differences were observed in the clinical outcomes of the Healix and Fixone groups, neither were there any accompanying major anchor-related complications.
Expression and role of endocytic receptor amnionless in preimplantation mouse embryos

Amnionless (AMN) is a plasma membrane protein that binds to cubilin and megalin in various epithelia and mediates endocytosis of extracellular ligands. This function has been studied in the kidney where it plays a key role in vitamin B12 and vitamin D homeostasis. Present study aimed to elucidate developmental pattern of expression of AMN during the peri-implantation period in mouse embryos. In an effort to understand functional role of AMN in the histiotropic nutrition in blastocyst, endocytotic function of AMN for apoplipoprotein was examined in blastocyst. Eight-week-old female mice were superovulated by intraperitoneal injection of 5 IU PMSG and 5 IU hCG 48h later. To obtain embryos, females were mated with males. Mouse embryos were collected at 12, 48, 56, 65, 72 and 96 h post-hCG by flushing oviducts and uterus, and we also obtained gestation day 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 embryos in uterus. All samples were subjected to quantitative RT-PCR, whole-mount immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry analysis. To analyze endocytotic function of AMN, we examined uptake experiment of FICT labeled apolipoprotein A-I (ApoA-I-FITC) following functional blocking of AMN in blastocysts. AMN and cubilin mRNA was expressed in all developmental stages of mouse embryos. Megalin was the first detected at morula stage. AMN protein was expressed in trophectoderm (TE) and inner cell mass (ICM). AMN and cubilin were expressed in visceral endoderm of GD 6.5 and 7.5 embryos and visceral yolk sec of GD 8.5 embryos. In normal IgG treated embryos, ApoA-I-FITC was detected in intracellular vesicles of TE and ICM. However, in the presence of anti-AMN antibody, ApoA-I-FITC was weakly detected in apical surface of plasma membrane of TE. To date, AMN has been believed to be expressed in visceral endoderm of post implantation embryos. Our results demonstrated that AMN is the important molecular partner of cubilin and megalin in the preimplantation embryos and that AMN mediates endocytosis of apoplipoprotein, which may play a crucial role in embryonic development and normal growth via supporting histiotropic nutrition during peri-implantation period.
