Aims: Tenofovir (TDF) entecavir (ETV) are considered as the preferred treatment options for treatment-naïve chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients. We compared the virologic response and renal safety of long-term TDF versus ETV therapy in naïve CHB patients. Methods: This retrospective study included total 432 patients who were treated with TDF (n=205) or ETV (n=227) from August 2012 to March 2017. Virologic response (VR) was defined as undetectable serum HBV DNA by PCR (<20 IU/mL). Results: Mean age of patients, sex, baseline serum levels of AST, ALT, creatinine, and HBV DNA were not significantly different between TDF and ETV groups. The cumulative rates of VR between TDF and ETV groups were 71.6% vs. 61.8% (p=0.477), 88.1% vs. 79.6% (p=0.058), and 84.8% vs. 83.7% (p=0.966) at 1, 2, and 3 years, respectively. The cumulative rates of genotypic resistance between TDF and ETV groups were 0% vs. 0%, 0% vs. 1.5% (p=0.404), and 0% vs. 2.2% (p=0.447) at 1, 2, and 3 years, respectively. Incidences of renal impairment and hypophosphatemia during treatment up to 3 years were not significantly different between two groups. Multivariate analysis showed that HBeAg-positivity (OR 0.27, 95% CI 0.12-0.58, p=0.0012) and serum HBV DNA at 1 year 2000 IU/mL (OR 0.09, 95% CI 0.03-0.25, p<0.0001) were significantly associated with VR. Conclusions: Long-term TDF and ETV treatments appear to have similar virologic response and renal safety in naïve CHB patient. However, long-term ETV therapy might to be associated with genotypic resistance in 2.2% up to 3 years, while none of patients on TDF therapy did.

Aims: Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) is considered as the preferred treatment option for chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients with treatment failure or resistance to prior nucleos(t)ide analogues (NAs) treatment. We investigated the efficacy of long-term TDF-based therapy in CHB patients with previous NAs-experience. Methods: This study included total 251 patients who had previous history of NAs therapy and were treated with TDF mono (n=173) or TDF combined with other NA (n=78) from August 2012 to March 2017. Virologic response (VR) was defined as undetectable serum HBV DNA by PCR (<20 IU/mL). Results: Mean age of patients was 49.3 years, median duration of TDF therapy was 27.2 months, 75.7% were HBeAg-positive, and median HBV DNA was 3.7 log10IU/mL. The cumulative rates of VR were 188/244 (77.0%), 180/211 (85.3%), and 146/161 (90.7%) at 12, 24, and 36 months, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that body mass index (OR 0.77, 95% CI 0.61-0.95, p=0.0189) and duration of TDF therapy (OR 1.09, 95% CI 1.02-1.18, p=0.0221) was significantly associated with VR. TDF monotherapy, HBeAg-positivity, platelet count, serum albumin was associated with VR in the univariate analysis, but not significant in the multivariate analysis. In relation to renal safety, patients showed renal impairment (7, 3.0%), mild hypophosphatemia (15, 7.2%), severe hypophosphatemia (1, 0.4%). Conclusions: Long-term TDF-based therapy demonstrated highly effective in viral suppression and relatively favorable renal safety in CHB patients with previous NA-experience. The body mass index and duration of TDF therapy was independent factors associated with VR.

Background/Aims: Behcet`s disease (BD) is a systemic disorder associated with a characteristic vasculitis that can involve both veins and arteries of all sizes. Endothelial activation or injury is a characteristic feature of BD. Endothelial dysfunction is widely regarded as being the initial lesion in the development of atherosclerosis. The carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) is a widely accepted marker of subclinical atherosclerosis. We aimed to determine the carotid IMT in BD patients with using high-resolution B-mode Doppler ultrasonography. Methods: We studied 40 patients (24 males, mean age: 39.1±8.5 years) who were diagnosed by the international diagnostic criteria of Behcet`s disease and 20 healthy controls (13 males, mean age: 40.2±5.1 years), and the two groups were matched by age and gender. No subject in either group had a history of atherosclerosis or its complications. The clinical data, including the age of onset, the duration of disease, a history of medication, the activity score and the laboratory data were analyzed. Results: The carotid IMT in the BD group was significantly higher than that in the control group (0.71±0.22 mm vs. 0.59±0.09 mm, respectively, p<0.01). Cardiac and major vessel involvements were not identified in the BD group. However, minor vascular involvements were documented in 2 patients with deep vein thrombosis, in 4 patients with superficial thrombophlebitis and in 2 patients with pseudoaneurysm. The carotid IMT in the patients with posterior uveitis or retinal vasculitis was higher than that of the patients without these findings (0.85±0.21 mm vs. 0.64±0.10 mm, respectively, p=0.007), but there was no difference of the IMT according to minor vascular involvement. Conclusions: Despite that there was no significant cardiovascular involvement in the BD patients, the carotid IMT was significantly higher in the BD patients as compared with the healthy controls.

본 논문에서는 ISM 대역 중에서 2.45㎓에서 사용이 가능한 렉테나를 제안하였다. 최대효율을 가지는 부하저항은 모의실험과 측정 결과사이에 차이가 발생하였다. 이를 해결하기 위해 부하저항 및 매치안을 실험적으로 수정하였다. 정류회로는 임피던스 매칭단과 DC통과 여파기를 사용하였다. 이 때 FR4기판(비유전율=4.4, 두께=1.6㎜)을 사용함에 따라 저렴한 제작이 가능하였다. 2.45㎓에서 측정된 최대효율은 51%로 측정되었다.

본 시험은 토종닭의 교배 조합이 생산성과 도체율에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 공시계는 4개 교배 조합으로 발생된 3원 교잡종 초생추를 이용하였다. 시험 설계는 재래계와 육용계의 교배 조합에 의해 부화된 4계통을 각각 A(CS×H), B(CH×S), C(RS×H), D(LH×B)로 하고 암수를 구분하였으며, 계통과 성별에 따라 각각 10수씩 9반복으로 총 90수를 완전 임의 배치하였다. 시험사료는 한국가금사양표준(2007)에서 제시한 옥수수-대두박 위주의 준육용계 사료를 육계 초기(CP 20.0%, ME 3,050 ㎉/㎏), 전기(CP 18.0%, ME 3,100 ㎉/㎏) 및 후기 사료(CP 16.0%, ME 3,150 ㎉/㎏)로 나누고, 자체 제작하여 공시하였다. 체중과 섭취량은 매주 측정하였고, 도체율은 각각, 5주령과 10주령에 조사하였다. 체중의 경우, 5주령까지는 유의적인 차이가 없었으나, 5주령 이후부터는 D계통에서 체중이 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 증체량과 사료 섭취량은 체중과 함께 D계통이 5주령 이후로 가장 높았으며(P<0.05), 전 기간 동안의 증체량과 사료 섭취량도 D계통이 다른 계통에 비해 높았고(P<0.05), 사료 요구율도 D계통에서 가장 낮았다. 체중, 증체량, 사료 섭취량 및 사료 요구율은 D계통을 제외한 다른 계통 사이에서 차이가 없었다(P>0.05). 생체중, 도체중 및 도체율은 5주령에는 계통간 차이가 없었으나, 10주령에는 D계통이 가장 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 이런 결과들은 한국토종닭 교잡종의 생산성적에 대한 기초적인 자료로서 이용될 것이라 사료된다. The current work was carried out to investigate the effect of crossbred Korean native chickens (KNC) on performance and carcass ratio. Seven hundred twenty 1-d-old chicks were divided into groups by strain (A, B, C and D) and sex (male and female). Strains were A) (KNC egg-meat type C strains × KNC meat type S strains) × KNC meat type H strains, B) (KNC egg-meat type C strains × KNC meat type H strains) × KNC meat type S strains, C) (KNC native R strains × KNC meat type S strains) × KNC meat type H strains and D) (KNC native L strains × KNC meat type H strains × Ross broiler. Experimental diets consisted of 3 phases such as starter(0~5 weeks; CP 20.0%, ME 3,050 ㎉/㎏), earlier (5~8 weeks; CP 18.0%, ME 3,100 ㎉/㎏) and finisher (8~12 weeks; CP 16.0%, ME 3,150 ㎉/㎏). Body weight (BW) and feed intake (FI) was measured every week and carcass ratio(CR) was calculated at 5 and 10 week after starting experiment. There was no difference in BW among strains until 5 weeks (P>0.05), however D strain resulted in a higher BW after 5 weeks (P<0.05). Body weight gain (BWG) and FI in D strain were also significant higher compared to the other strains for all periods. However, D strains showed the lowest (P<0.05) fee conversion ratio (FCR). The other strains except D showed a similar BW, BWG, FI and FCR among strains. In addition, there were no differences in carcass weight (CW) and carcass ratio (CR) among strains at 5 weeks, however D strain showed higher CW and CR at 10 weeks. These results suggested the basic data that needed to develope the new strains.

본 시험은 토종닭의 교배 조합이 계육의 이화학적 성상 및 육질에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 공시계는 국립축산과학원에서 토종닭(적갈색, 흑색)과 육용계의 교배 조합으로 발생된 4계통의 병아리 수컷을 A, B, C, D계통으로 구분하여 이용하였다. 각 계통에서 90수씩 선별하여 12주령까지 준육용계 사료를 이용하여 평사에서 사육하고, 일정 주령(5주, 10주)에 도달하였을 때 각 계통에서 27수씩 선별하여 개체별 생체중을 측정하고, diethyl ether로 마취시킨 후 도계하여 시험에 이용하였다. 도계된 닭들은 부분육(가슴, 다리)의 무게를 측정하고, 비율을 산출한 후 이화학적 성상과 관능검사를 실시하였다. 계육의 물리적 성상은 5주령에는 모든 항목에서 계통 간에 차이가 없었으나, 10주령에는 B계통이 명도, 가열 감량 및 보수력에서 다른 계통에 비해 차이가 있었다(P<0.05). 화학적 성상에서는 5주령에 B계통이 다른 계통에 비해 pH, 수분 함량 및 콜라겐 함량이 낮았으며, 단백질과 지방 함량이 높았다. 회분 함량은 계통 간에 차이가 없었다. 10주령에는 A계통이 회분과 콜라겐 함량이 가장 낮았으며(P<0.05), 그 외 항목은 계통 간에 차이가 없었다(P>0.05). 관능검사 결과에서, 5주령에서 D계통이 다즙성에서 가장 높았고, 10주령에서 B계통이 연도에서 가장 낮게 나타났다(P<0.05). 따라서, 토종닭의 교배 조합은 계육의 물리적 성상에는 크게 영향이 없지만, 5주령에서 화학적 성상에 영향을 미치며, 특히, 수분과 지방 함량은 다즙성과 연도와 관련이 있다고 추정된다. This work was carried out to investigate chemical composition and meat quality of crossbred Korean native chickens (KNC). Ninety 1-d male chicks were used in this work and were divided into 4 groups as A: (KNC egg-meat type C strains × KNC meat type S strains) (♀) × KNC meat type H strains (♂), B: (KNC egg-meat type C strains × KNC meat type H strains) (♀) × KNC meat type S strains (♂), C: (KNC native R strains × KNC meat type S strains) (♀) × KNC meat type H strains (♂), D: (KNC native L strains × KNC meat type H strains) (♀) × Ross broiler (♂) strains. They were fed the broiler diets for 12 weeks at the flat house and twenty seven chickens were slaughtered at week 5 and 10. Chicken thigh and breast were weighed and physicochemical compositions and sensory characteristics were investigated. Physical compositions of meats have no difference among strains at 5 week, and B strains differed from other strains at 10 week (P<0.05). The pH, moisture, and collagen content of meat from B strains were lower than other strains at 5 week. Ash and collagen of A strains were the lowest at 10 week (P<0.05), but others have no difference among strains. In sensory test, juiciness of D strains was the highest at 5 week, and tenderness of B strains was the lowest at 10 week (P<0.05). In conclusion, the crossbreeding of KNC did not affect physical traits but affected chemical composition of the chicken meat slaughtered at 5 week.
