        I-123 IPT SPECT를 이용한 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동에서의 methylphenidate 투여 전후의 기저 신경절 도파민 운반체 밀도 변화 측정

        목적 : 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder : 이하 ADHD)는 도파민계의 이상 기능으로 생기는 대표적 소아정신과 질환이다. Methylphenidate는 dopamine transporter(DAT)를 차단함으로써 ADHD 증상을 호전시키는 약물로 널리 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ADHD 아동들을 대상으로 I-123 IPT SPECT를 이용하여 methylphenidate 투여 전후의 DAT density 양상을 비교해 보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 연구대상은 9명의 ADHD 아동과 7명의 정상 대조군이었다. ADHD 아동군과 정상 대조군에 모두 약물 비노출 상태에서 [^(123)I]IPT를 정맥 주사후 2시간이 경과한 상태에서 SPECT를 촬영하였다. 이후 ADHD 아동군을 대상으로 methylphenidate 0.7mg/kg/d을 투여한 후 약 8주가 경과한 상태에서 [^(123)I]IPT SPECT를 재활영 하였다. Methylphenidate 투여 전화 후의 좌,우측 기저 신경절 DAT 특이결합/비특이결합 비율을 구한 뒤 비교하였고, 약물 투여 후의 ADHD 증상 척도로 측정한 증상 호전도와 좌,우측 기저 신경절 DAT 특이결합/비특이결합 비율 변화사이의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 결과 : ADHD 아동군에서 약물 비노출 상태와 정상 대조군 사이의 좌, 우측 기저 신경절 DAT 특이결합/비특이결합 비율을 비교한 결과 DAT 결합 비율이 정상 대조군에 비해서 유의하게 증가되었다(Right : z=2.057, p=0.041 ; Left : z=2.096, p=0.032). 또한 ADHD 아동들에세 methylphenidate 투여 전과 후 상태에서의 기저 신경절 DAT 특이결합/비특이 결합 비율을 비교한 결과, methylphenidate 투여 후 상태가 methylphenidate 투여 전 상태에 비해 좌, 우측 DAT 결합비율이 유의하게 낮아진 것을 관찰 할 수 있었다 (우측 : t=3.239, p=0.018 : 좌측 : t=3.133, p=0.020). ADHD 증상의 호전도와 좌,우측 기저 신경절 DAT 특이결합.비특이결합 비율 변화사이에는 유의한 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 결론 : 이러한 결과는 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애의 치료제인 methylphenidate가 작용하는 기전을 이용하여 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애의 병태생리와 연관된 도파민계 기능이상 가능성을 지지한다고 생각된다. Purpose : attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been known as psychiatrio disorder in childhood associated with dopamine dysregulation. In present study, we investigated changes in dopamine transporter (DAT) density of the basal ganglias using [-123 N-(3-iodoproper-2-yl]-2-carbomethoxy-3beta-(4-chlorophenyl) tropane [l-123 IPT] SPECT in children with ADGD before and after methylphenidate treatment. Materials and Method : Nine drug-naive children with ADGD and seven normal children were included in the study. We performed brain SPECT two hours after the intravenous administration of l-123 IPT and made both quantitative and qualitative analyses using the obtained SPECT data, which were reconstructed for assessment of specific/nonspecific DAT binding ratios in the basal ganglia. All children with ADGD reperformed [123]IPT SPECT after treatment with methylphenidate(0.7mg/kg/d) during about 8 weeks. SPECT data reconstructed for the assessment of specific/nonspecific DAT binding ration of the basal ganglia were compared between before and after treatment methylphenioate. We investigated correlation between the change of ADHD symptom severity assessed with ADHD rating scale-IV and specific/nonspecific DAT binding ratio of the basal ganglia comparing to normal children (Right : z - 2.057, p = 0.041 : Left : z = 2.096, p = 0.032). Under treatment with methylphenidate in all chkildren with ADHD, specific/nonspecific DAT binding ration of both basal ganglia decreased significatnly greater than before treatment with methyphenidate (Right 1 = 3.239, p = 0.018, Left : t =3.133, p = 0.020). However no significant correlation between the change of ADHD symptom severity scores and specific/nonspecific DAT binding ratio of the basal ganglia ere for support the complex dysregulation of the dopaminergic neurotransmitter system in children with ADHD.

        가족친화제도에 대한 유용성 지각과 근로자 행동 간 관계 : 일-가정 균형 만족도의 매개효과

        Social exchange theory is an exchange relation that is based on transactions in an organizational context. People tend to maintain equity in relation to other people or objects. Organizational situations are exchanges based on transactions. When you receive something beneficial, you will act in the direction of repayment. Work-family issues related to the psychological or physical state of the individual were treated as the outcome variables, but there was not much research on the organizational behavior of the organizational members. Based on the results of a few previous researches, it is analyzed that if a family-friendly system that helps oneself and their family members are useful to a worker and his or her family members, it affects the behavior and attitude of the individual positively. Employees who are highly satisfied with the work-family reconciliation policy are perceived as receiving recognition, investment, and support from the organization, thereby forming a trust in the organization. Recently, as competition between organizations has become more intense than ever, and all situations surrounding the organization are changing rapidly, there is a growing voice that voluntary efforts and activities are important for achieving organizational goals more than those defined for individual members. Therefore, when the employee's satisfaction with work-family reconciliation policy matches or is higher than the value emphasized in the organization or occupation, the employee is more motivated and more committed to the organization by changing behavior and attitude. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of perceived usefulness of family - friendly system on the behavior of workers by integrating the two needs of this study and to examine the effect of work - family balance satisfaction as a factor mediating this relationship. In other words, we examine how the perceived usefulness of the family-friendly system affects the work-family balance satisfaction, in-role performance, and organizational citizenship behavior. We also examine how work - family balance satisfaction affects employee performance and organizational citizenship behavior. Finally, through this relationship, the effect of the perceived usefulness of the family - friendly system on the behavior of workers is examined in an integrated manner. Through the verification of this relationship, this study aims to contribute to the expansion of the theoretical discussion in the work - home research and suggest the direction of the family - friendly system which is actually helpful to the workers.

        과학관의 교육적 활용을 위한 초·중등 교사들의 인식과 현장 적용방안

        본 연구는 대표적 학교 밖 과학교육기관인 과학관과 과학관 교육에 대한 초·중등교사들의 인식을 알아보고, 과학관 교육이 나아갈 방향에 대한 논의와 함께 과학관 교육의 효율적인 현장적용을 위한 제언에 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 위해 과학관과 과학관 교육에 대한 교사들의 인식과 앞으로 과학관이 나아가야 할 방향 등을 물어보는 설문에 245명의 교사들이 참여하였다. 교사들은 학생들의 과학교육에 과학관이 중요한 역할을 하는 장소라는 것에는 동의하였지만, 현재의 과학관 전시물들은 학교 교육과정과 제대로 연계되어 있지 않다는 의견을 보여 주었다. 설문 결과를 바탕으로 과학관 교육이 비형식 교육기관으로서 의 역할을 충분히 할 수 있도록 학교교육과정에 연계하는 방안과 함께 과학관 전시물의 교육적 활용 방안에 대한 후속 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다. Science museums are regarded as some of the best out-of-school learning places for experiencing and learning science. The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of elementary and secondary school teachers on science museums and their effect of informal education, and suggest an effective educational direction for the science museums. To achieve the purpose, we developed a questionnaire and 245 elementary and junior high school teachers participated in this study. In the questionnaires, we asked teachers about their perceptions of museums, and what they expected of science museums in terms of educational purposes. The results showed that teachers agreed that science museums play an important role in letting students experience and learn science. However, they replied that there is a weak relationship between present science curriculum at regular schools and the displays at the science museum. Based on these results, we suggest several recommendations for an effective use of science museums as informal educational institutions, and the necessity of a following research about the connection between the displays at the science museums and the science curriculum at regular schools.

      • An Empirical Study of Pedestrian-Vehicle Interaction Using Virtual Reality

        The purpose of this research was to explore gesture interface of pedestrian and to propose socially appropriate movement gestures for vehicles. We conducted an observational study in locations that had 1) high volume of traffic, 2) intersections where constant interactions between pedestrians and vehicles occur, 3) no traffic lights to regulate the flow of traffic. We then developed a virtual crossing task (VCT), with independent variables selected based on the behavioral patterns we observed from the preliminary study. We measured head direction, crossing time, and success rate in crossing. Based on our observation, the speed, the size of the vehicle, and the number of pedestrians were the main factors of change in pedestrian movements (e.g., stopping). In the experiment, participants were more likely to keep caution by changing their head direction to look around when the vehicle was small and slowly approached the crosswalk and when a companion was present. In conclusion, we suggest that the interaction between autonomous vehicles and pedestrians should be understood as social interactions: social institutions and cultural differences should be considered when designing a ‘socially’ appropriate gesture interface of autonomous vehicles.

        A thermoelectric generator (TEG) is a solid-state device that converts thermal energy directly into electrical energy. They have no moving parts inside, so they have a long operating life, are noiseless, and can operate reliably. They are also environmentally friendly, as they are pollution-free. Thermoelectric generators have great potential for harvesting ambient energy. this study aims to design a cooling system that attaches to the cold side of the thermoelectric modules. Three cases are considered based on the coolant inlet and outlet locations and flow path geometry. The average temperature of cooling system surface, temperature unifomlity, and pressure drop between the coolant inlet and outlet are selected as the performance indicators of the cooling system. Type 1-1, which had the lowest pressure drop between inlet and outlet, but the highest average cooling surface temperature and temperature uniformity, was judged to be the best performing case.

        F-18 FDG PET Scan Findings in Patients With Loeffler’s Syndrome

        PURPOSE:: This study aimed to evaluate the F-2-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography (F-18 FDG PET) findings of Loeffler’s syndrome and to determine differential features between lung malignancy and Loeffler’s syndrome. MATERIALS AND METHODS:: F-18 FDG PET and low-dose chest CT scans were performed to screen for lung cancer. Eleven patients who showed pulmonary lesions on CT scan with peripheral blood eosinophilia were included. PET scans were evaluated by mean and maximum standardized uptake values (SUVs) of abnormalities. CT findings were reviewed and correlated with the PET findings. In all patients, follow-up CT scans and PET scans were done from 1 to 4 weeks after the initial study. RESULTS:: F-18 FDG PET scans identified metabolically active lesions in 9 of 11 patients. Maximum SUVs ranged from 2.8 to 10.6, and mean SUVs ranged from 2.2 to 7.2. The other 2 patients had maximum SUVs of 1.3 and 2.2. Follow-up PET scans showed a decreased degree of initially noted FDG uptakes or migration of the lesion. The CT scan showed nodular lesions with a peripheral halo (n = 6), ground-glass attenuation (n = 4), and consolidation (n = 1). Follow-up CT scans revealed decreased size and extent of the initial lesions in 7 patients and migration in 2 patients. The other 2, who had relatively mild F-18 FDG uptakes, showed complete radiographic resolution of the lesions. CONCLUSIONS:: A single F-18 FDG PET study is not useful in differentiating benign and malignancy in patients with Loeffler’s syndrome. Correlation and follow-up of PET and CT scan for the identification of abnormalities and their changes can be helpful for the differentiation between lung malignancy and Loeffler’s syndrome.
