        A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair in Young Patients: Comparison of All-Inside and Inside-Out Suture Techniques

        Purpose: The purposes of the present study were to review published studies that investigated arthroscopic meniscus repair to treat meniscus injury in young patients and to compare all­inside and inside­out suture techniques.Methods: Various electronic databases were queried for published articles, and this search was updated in August 2017 for evaluating the outcomes of arthroscopic meniscus surgery in young patients. Data search, extraction, analysis, and quality assessment were performed according to the Cochrane Collaboration guidelines, and the clinical outcomes were evaluated using various outcome values in young patients according to suture techniques.Results: Three randomized controlled trials and three prospective comparative studies were included in this systematic review and meta­analysis. There were no significant differences in clinical outcomes such as meniscus healing rate (risk ratio [RR], 1.11; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.90 to 1.37; I2=39%) and perioperative complications (RR, 0.62; 95% CI, 0.23 to 1.72; I2=43%) between all­inside and inside­out techniques for meniscus repair.Conclusions: The present study shows favorable results for clinical outcomes such as meniscus healing rate and perioperative complications in young patients. Furthermore, based on our results, both all­inside and inside­out meniscal suture techniques are equally effective in these patients.

      • 원위 대퇴골의 고립성 골연골종에서 발생한 속발성 연골 육종 1례 보고

        연골육종은 비교적 서서히 자라며 늦게 전이하는 악성 연골 종양으로 알려져 있다. 골 연골종에서 발생한 속발성 연골육종은 발생빈도는 드물며 타부위로의 전이가 적고 악성도가 낮은 경우가 많아 적합한 수술적 치료로서 좋은 예후를 보이는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 동국대학교 정형외과학 교실에서는 우측 대퇴골 원위부 골간단부에 생긴 고립성 골 연골종에서 이차적으로 발생한 연골육종을 치험한 바 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. A case of Secondary Chondrosarcoma Arising from Solitary Osteochondroma of the Distal Femur Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, College of Medicine, DongGuk University Phil Hyun Chung M.D., Jung Su Hwang M.D., Suk Kang M.D., Yang Mln Kim M.D., Hyung Ho Oh M.D., Dong Ju Chae M.D., Jong Pil Kim M.D. Chondrpsarcoma is a malignant cartilage-forming tumor that grows slowly and metastasis of this tumor occurs in late stage. Secondary chondrosarcomas arising from a solitary osteocartilaginous exostosis are rare and those have a better prognosis than other chondrosarcomas, and they rarely metastasize. We present our experience with a case of secondary chondrpsarcoma arising in solitary osteochondroma of distal metaphysis of right femur with clinical details.

        抗精神病藥物에 依한 無顆粒細胞症 治驗 1例

        The authors experienced a female schizophrenic patient who revealed severely decreased leucocytes (350/㎣) with the manifestation of high fever, chillness and sore throat after the oral administration of neuroleptics. Agranulocytosis induced with the use of neuroleptic drugs has been well known complication in psychiatric practice although it is quite rare. In this case, following the combined use of neuroleptics (thioridazine halopondol and chlorproonazine), severe decrement of leucocytes (mainly lymphocytes with few neutrophils) was noticed on peripheral blood and marked decrement of erythroid series, especially of myeloid series, with decrement of total cellular elements were confirmed through the biopsy of bone marrow. She did not responded at all to the massive administration of antibiotics, but dramatic improvement was noticed both clinically and in the follow-up biopsy findings of bone marrow after two times trial of leukapheresis.

        This compact Gun Drilling Machine was developed to improve productivity and economical efficiency for small and midium enterprise tool makers. To produce specialize tools that gun drilling works should be required prior to making deep holes. Gun drill machines are so expensive and big burden for small tool makers so that works used to execute through outside orders but it was required lot of cost too. Most of gun drill machines are providing for high volume and large capacity enterprises. In order to support for small and medium enterprise purpose that compact gun drill machine was designed and developed. It could be improved products quality, productivity and saving manufacturing cost using this machine.

      • 신경망에 의한 확대 I-PD제어계의 구성

        Many control techniques have been proposed in order to improve the control performance of discrete-time domain control system. In the position control system using a DC servo motor as a driver, the response-characteristic of system is controlled by the I-PD controller. In the I-PD control system, the transient response characteristic is more increased and settling time gets longer if gains of I-PD controller are unsuitable. In this paper, a expanded I-PD control system is constructed by inserting a pre-compensator at output terminal of I-PD controller. it is implemented by neural network with two hidden layers. From the result of computer simulation in the proposed control algorithm, its usefulness is verified.

        This paper aims to provide a way to improve dynamic stability of biped robots against undesirable disturbances and in a slope. By using an angular velocity sensor and an acceleration sensor on its waist, we can make a medium-sized biped robot walk stably in a slope against impulsive disturbances. In addition, it is possible for the robot to walk stably in an unknown slope. The measured signals from the sensor are used for compensating the reference angles of ankle, knee, and pelvis joints. Some experiments show that the stability of the robot is much enhanced by using cheap sensors and a simple algorithm. This work helps biped robots walk more stably in real environments.

      • 광합성세균 Phodospirillum rubrum의 무기질소원의 이용

        Rhodospirillum rubrum, a photosynthetic bacterium, was tested for the utilization of inorganic nitrogen sources such as NH₄Cl, NaNO₂ and NaNO₃. The cell growth was most abundant with NH₄Cl among three nitrogen sources regardless of aerobic or anaerobic condition. With usable nitrogen sources, the cell growth was always greater in anaerobic condition than aerobic condition. R. rubrum used NH₄Cl and NaNO₃, but not NaNO₂ as nitrogen source in anaerobic condition. But in aerobic condition, R. rubrum used all nitrogen sources. The sonsumption of total nitrogen by R. rubrum used was highest in the NH₄Cl medium among three kinds of media regardless of culture conditions. The pH of media were increased according to the cell growth. The production of nitrite from nitrate in the NaNO₃ medium was much greater in anaerobic condition than aerobic condition.

      • 제주연안 갯녹음(백화) 지역의 해수에 분포하는 세균군의 분자생물학적 분석

        본 연구에서는 갯녹음(백화)현상이 세균생태계와 어떤 관련이 있는지에 대한 기초자료 및 정보를 얻기 위하여 갯녹음 현상이 일어난 제주도 성산과 강정지역 연안의 해수에 존재하는 세균군을 16S rRNA 증폭기법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 강정지역에서는 Alcanivorax, Paracoccus, Damselae, Pseudomonas, Rhodovulum, Silicibacter, Sulfitobacter, Roseobacter 등 다양한 종류의 세균이 분포되어 있었으며, Alcanivorax가 20%의 빈도로 가장 많이 나타났다. 반면, 성산 지역에서는 Pseudomonas속 균주가 우점종으로서 존재하였으며, Pseudomonas tolaasii(혹은 Pseudomonas corrugata)와 유연관계가 가까운 세균은 44%, Pseudomonas mandeli와 가까운 세균이 24%, Verrucomicrobiales와 가까운 세균은 4%, 기타 동정되지 않은 세균은 세 group으로 구분되었으며, 각각 8%, 8%, 12%를 차지하여, 두 곳에 분포되어 있는 세균군상이 상당한 차이점이 있음을 확인하였다. 갯녹음 지역인 강정과 성산 해수의 8월(표품 채집시기)의 수온은 27℃-27.5℃, 염분의 농도는 30.24-30.60%, pH는 8.23-8.36, 용존산소량(DO)은 각각 7.20-7.28로, 두 지역에서 매우 비슷한 것으로 조사된 바 있는데, 이는 수온이나 염분의 농도, 또는 pH보다는 다른 원인에 의하여 두 갯녹음 지역에 분포하는 세균군의 차이를 가져왔음을 제시해 주었다. In this study, the bacterial communities distributed in sea water of the whitening areas of Gangjeong and Seongsan, Jeju-do have been analyzed using the PCR amplification of 16S rRNA to obtain fundamental data and information on relationship of the whitening phenomenon and microbial ecosystem. In Gangjeong, diverse bacteria such as Alcanivorax, Paracoccus, Damselae, Pseudomonas, Rhodovulum, Silicibacier, Sulfitobacter, and Roseobacier have been found, and Alcanivorax was the most abundant clone. The most abundant clone from Seongsan was Pseudoinonas, of which Pseudomonastolaasii and Pseudonionas mandeli were most abundantly occurred in the frequency of approx 44% and 24%, respectively. Approx 4% of the bacterial clones closest to firruconiicrobiales and other unidentified clones were also found in Seongsan, suggesting there is a great discrepancy between bacterial communities from the whitening areas of Seongsan and Gangjeong. The mean tem- perature, chlorine concentration, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO) of the sea water of Gangjeong and Seongsan in August of 2001 (sampling period) was 27℃-27.5℃, 30.24-30.60%, pH 8.23-8.36,7.20-7.28 ㎎/ℓ, suggesting other environmental factors except for the factors mentioned above might result in difference of bacterial communities distributed in both areas.
