어머니 특성변인이 유아의 창의적 인성과 정서지능에 미치는 영향 : 특성변인: 자아개념, 양육태도, 부부관계정도, 성격특성, DISC행동특성 = The Effect of Mother`s Variations on Creativity Personal-traits and Emotional Intelligence in Young Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 최근의 창의성 교육이 인지적 측면에 치우쳐 있음에 대한 문제점의 발견으로 시작되었다. 특히 유아교육에 있어서 창의성 교육은 창의적 인성을 통하여 창의적 사고로 발달되고 있다는 창의성 발달경로에 대한 연구가 주는 시사점에 따르면, 인지적 측면에서는 그 수준, 목표, 방법의 적절성을 반영하여 프로그램화 되어 있으나 정의적 측면에서는 준비된 프로그램과 그 구성요소에 따른 구체적 자료가 부족한 실정이다.
뿐만 아니라 창의성 교육을 창의성의 인지적 영역만을 교육내용으로 오인하는 부분도 있다. 예를 들어 유아교육용 교재 등에서도 대부분 사고력 교육에 대한 내용으로 구성되어 있고 창의적 인성교육에 대한 내용이 수록되어 있지 않는 교재들을 쉽게 발견할 수 있었다. 또 연구자는 유아기의 창의적 인성발달과 함께 정서지능의 중요성에 주목하였다. 현재 정서지능은 일반지능과 독립적으로 존재된 지능으로 인지력을 보완하는 포스트모더니즘 사회의 핵심능력으로 자리매김하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 개정된 국가수준의 교육 및 보육과정에서도 과거와 달리 사회영역에서 ‘정서의 인식 및 조절’이라는 목표를 설정해 정서지능교육의 중요성을 인식하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 종속변인들의 교육적 가치, 적절한 발달시기, 그리고 각 구성요소들과 양육변인과의 관계에 대한 경험적 자료를 통하여 유아교육에서의 확장연구, 전이 및 적용 가능한 기초자료를 제공함에 연구의 목적을 두었다.
본 연구의 대상은 전국 4개 중류 도시의 남․여 원아 만4, 5세 350명의 어머니와 담임교사 20명을 대상으로 하였다. 대상 유아의 성별은 남아가 48.8%이며 여아가 51.2%였다. 연령분포는 만4세아가 24.6%이고 만5세아가 75.4%였다. 대상유아의 생활정도는 보건복지부에서 보육료지원 대상 소득기준을 중심으로 상, 중, 하로 구분하였다. 본 연구를 위해 회수한 검사지에서 응답 내용이 불성실한 설문지를 제외한 301명의 자료를 통계 분석에 사용하였다.
본 연구에서 사용된 도구는 교사용 검사지와 어머니용 검사지로 모두 7종의 검사도구를 사용하였다. 2가지의 검사도구는 표준화검사지를 사용하였다. ‘성격특성 검사’는 한국에서 표준화된 검사도구로 연구의 목적에 맞는 부분을 사용하였고, ‘DISC행동특성 검사’는 미국에서 표준화 된 검사지를 한국의 실정에 맞게 번안하여 사용하였다. ‘교사용 유아정서지능 평정척도’는 기존의 검사도구를 수정·보완하였고, ‘DISC양육태도 검사’, ‘부부관계 정도 검사’, ‘자아개념 검사’는 해당 이론을 기초로 하여 기존의 검사도구를 분석하고 참고하여 개발되었으며, ‘유아 창의적 인성 검사’는 Shallcross(1985)의 이론만을 바탕으로 연구자가 개발하여 연구에 사용되었다.
본 연구에서 자료 처리는 SPSS/WIN Version 14.0을 이용하여 아래와 같은 통계분석방법으로 분석하였다. 먼저 연구의 기초자료로 연구대상의 속성을 파악하기 위하여 빈도분석(frequency analysis)을, 본 연구에 사용된 각종 변인들이 적절하게 선택되었는가를 검증하기 위한 변인들에 대한 구성타당도는 탐색적 요인분석(exploratory factor analysis)을, 각 이론변인들의 신뢰도는 크론바흐 알파(Cronbach‘s ⍺)계수를 이용하여 신뢰도 검증(reliability analysis)을 실시하였다.
또한 연구가설의 검증을 위해 각 집단별 연구변인들의 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였고, 차이분석과 사후검증 및 단순상관분석을 실시하였다. 각 변인 및 요인에서의 평균차 검증은 t검증과 변량분석(ANOVA, MANOVA)을 이용하였다. 독립변인들 간의 다상호선형관계(multicollinearity)를 분석하여 상관범위는 ‘.60’ 이하인 .069(p<.05)∼.440(p<.01)으로 다상호선형관계가 없는 변인들을 연구에 사용하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 오차항의 정상분포 및 오차항간의 상관을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 모든 가설과 관련 통계치들은 의미수준 p<.05에서 t검증과 F검증을 실시하였다.
본 연구에 대한 결과를 중심으로 결론을 내리면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 성별에 따른 분석결과는 여아는 남아보다 어머니의 도덕적 자아개념에 더 영향을 받고 있으며, 여아가 남아보다 정서지능에 더 높은 차이를 보이고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 창의적 인성은 성별차이가 나타나지 않았다.
둘째, 본 연구를 통해 본 연령에 따른 분석결과는 5세 아는 4세 아보다 어머니의 자아개념과 행동특성 전체에 더 영향을 받고 있으며, 5세 아는 4세 아보다 정서지능에 더 높은 차이를 보이고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 창의적 인성은 연령 차이가 나타나지 않았다.
셋째, 생활정도에 따른 분석결과는 상집단은 하집단보다 어머니 특성변인과 정서지능 전체에 더 많은 영향을 받고 있으며, 창의적 인성은 생활정도 간 차이가 나타나지 않았다.
넷째, 어머니 특성변인, 창의적 인성, 정서지능 간의 상관관계를 보면, 어머니 특성변인은 정서지능보다 창의적 인성에 높은 상관성을 보여주었다. 창의적 인성과 정서지능 간의 상관은 전체적으로는 유의한 상관이 없으나 미약하나마 부적상관이 나타났다. 구체적으로 창의적 인성 중 호기심 정
