공중 근무자의 요통 발생 요인에 관한 연구

The purposes of this study were to investigate risk factors of low back pain in civil airmen and to use this information as basis far the back rehabilitation. Subjects of this study were randomly selected 276 civil airmen who had been employed at four airports in Seoul. These data were analyzed by χ2 test, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple logistic regression using SAS. The results were as follows: 1) The prevalence of low back pain among 276 civil airmen was 64.9%. 2) The most common cause of low back pain was load lifting (stewardess), long sitting (aircrew A), and long sitting plus training (aircrew B), 3) There were no statistically significant associations among age, height, body weight, and low back pain, 4) No statistically significant relationships were found among the average monthly working time, total working time, average monthly rest time, working year and low back pain. 5) There was statistically significant relationship between abnormal posture and low back pain (p〈.01). 6) There was statistically significant relationship between fatigue and low back pain among stewardess and aircrew B. 7) There was a statistically significant relationship between job satisfaction and job-related stress (p〈.05). 8) In stewardess, higher satisfaction score was associated with less likelihood of low back pain (odds ratio = .80). The results of this study indicate that civil airmen developed chronicity of low back pain due to unfit seat, poor habitual posture, fatigue symptom, and stress or other risk factors. Therefore, there is a need to improve the working environment for the prevention of posture-related low back pain.

乾燥양파 Flake의 乾燥條件과 Shelf-life에 관한 硏究

In order to establish suitable drying and storage condition, two step hot air drying, microwave oven drying, freeze drying and microwave drying after hot air drying were carried out and the shelf-life, browning rate and pyruvate content changes of dried onion flake packaged with LDPE, OPP/PE, PET/Al/PE packaging meterials were investigated during storage: The results were as follows: 1. The freeze drying method showed excellent effect in the pyruvate contents, rehydration rate and browning color formation of the dried onion flake during drying process. 2. For the packaging materials of the dried onion flake PET/Al/PE was superior, OPP/PE was considerably good but LDPE was not suitable in consideration of pyruvate contents and browning color development. 3. The shelf-life of LDPE, OPP/PE and PET/Al/PE packaging were 30 days, 89days and 416days respectively. Therefore, PET/Al/PE was considered the most suitable packaging materials for dried onion flake.

The Water is very important resource to man. The riverain and view which are concern with water are important co-ownership resource to territory. We hold consciousness which is keep up and bring up water, and put in practice it. The plan which is make riverain-space, is realization of harmony between the use of water and closed water, detecte of riverain-space, a specific character of territory, which is base on the historical culture of territory with wholesome ecosystem, execute creativity. The improvement of riverain-environment is resuscitate natural sapce which is concern with water, inhabit variety microorganisms, animals and plants, play to conservative function of water quality, integrite and create beautiful riverain with natural disposition of consideration of ecology.

저용량 Droperodol 의 지속적 정맥내 주사가 방사선 치료로 유발된 구토에 대한 효과 : As a Substitution for Granisetron for the Treatment of Gastrointestinal Symptoms from Palliative Radiation Therapy

Background: Radiation therapy in palliative cancer management leads mainly to nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia and anorexia. Several agents have been used to treat above symptoms and sings. We assessed the usefulness of continuous intravenous infusion of low-dose droperidol, compared to granisetron for the control of gastrointestinal symptoms due to radiation therapy. Method: We devided 30 patients who developed gastrointestinal symptoms after undergoing palliative radiation therapy due to metastatic bone pain in two groups. In group G(n=15), the patients were injected granisetron(3㎎) and then injected it, 3㎎ per day. In group D(n=15), the patients were injected low-dose droperidol(0.25㎎) and then infused continuously at low-dose(1㎎/day) by the disposable continuous infusion pump. Result: There were no significant differences in the patient's satisfaction, improvement of appetite and incidences of side effects between two groups. Conclusion: The continuous intravenous infusion of low-dose droperidol can substitute for serotonin-receptor antagonist for the treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms during radiation therapy for cancer patients.

폐병변의 경피적 흡인생검술

Over a period' of recent 2 years and 10 months, 47 patients who had localzied pulmonary lesions, but were not diagnosed pathologically through bronchoscopy, transbronchial biopsy, and sputum examination, underwent percutaneous aspiration biopsy using 22G Wescott needle under the fluoroscopy. The diagnostic accuracy was 85%. Malignant lesions were 32 cases, benign were 8 cases, and 7 cases were negative. Eleven of all 47 patients developed pneumothorax and one of them required treatment. Two of 11 pneumothorax patients also showed pleural effusion. Small amount of hemoptysis developed in 7 petients. The method, problems, and complications are discussed. Nowadays, percutaneus aspiration biopsy appears to be the procedure of choice in the pulmonary lesions, especially peripherally localized.

소아 야구 선수의 투구 중 발생한 상완골 골절과 치유 후 재발된 피로골절

A 11-year old male Little League pitcher sustained a displaced spiral fracture of the right midhumerus in midpitch. Physical examination revealed tenderness and swelling over the middle third of the arm. Roentgenograms showed displaced spiral fracture of the middle of the shaft of the right humerus. Deep ache prodrome symptoms occurred in the midhumerus at rest and during pitching for the preceeding two months and were aggravated for a week. A hanging cast was applied for stress fracture of humerus, Twelve weeks after injury, fracture of humerus was completely united and the patient was allowed to resume baseball training. Twenty weeks after first fracture, the patient was seen again after an episode of acute pain that had occurred while he was throwing a baseball. Roentgenogram revealed a periosteal reaction on the proximal to original fracture site. Under the diagnosis of recurrent stress fracture of humerus, the extremity was placed in a sling. 8 weeks after the second injury, the fracture completely united. In conclusion, after complete union of spiral fracture of humerus, the player should take the enough time for recovery of muscle strength before pitching exercise to prevent of recurrent stress fracture.

Hence, glasses are being cut by requested size for satisfaction on demands, the remain glass is making problems. This study is for designing installation of handling these remained glasses effectively and easily.

국내 Fabry disease 환자의 a-Galatosidase A 유전자 돌연변이 검색

Fabry disease(FD) is an X-linked recessive lysosomal disorder caused by a deficiency of a-galactosidase A(a-Gal A), localized at Xq22. Besides onset of pain and paresthesias in the extremities, FD was diagnosed by absence of a-Gal A activity. In this experiment the a-Gal A activity of Korean FD patients was spectrometrically analysed using an artificial substate, 4-Mrthylumbellifery1-a-D-galactoside. As expected, no a-Gal A activity was detected in lymphocytes and lymphoblastoid cells from FD patients. To screen the mutation in their a-Gal A genes, we performed single strand conformation polymorphism(SSCP) and PCR-direct sequencing form seven a-Gal A exons. The nonsense mutation was identified both in classically affected hemyzygotes and a heterozygote. They showed the C to T transition at nucleotide number 11,002, resulting in a arginine-to-stop(R342X). This result will be applicable for pre- and neonatal detection of FD and to define the genotype/phenotype correlation.

파킨슨씨병 환자에 있어서 자가부신수질 이식술

Recent experimental studies and clinical cases have suggested that grafting tissue from the adrenal medulla into the brain may alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Autologous adrenal medullary grafts into the striatum was performed stereotactically in two patients with Parkinson's disease. Both patients were bedridden preoperatively, but 4 months after the surgery both became ambulatory and one was even capable of returning to his job. Even though the number of cases was small⑵ and the follow-up period was short, this study shows that adrenal medullary transplantation into the striatum may have some beneficial effects in patient with Parkinson's disease. Further experimental and clinical trials are necessary to see whether this procedure will be a recommendable surgical treatment for patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.

장시간 수술시 Propofol과 Enflurane의 마취 유지 효과 및 술후 각성도에 대한 비교

There has not been particular attention focused on the comparative benefits and risks of propofol anesthesia with inhalation anesthesia in the operations of long duration. This study was assessed the anesthetic efficacy and the speed of recovery from propofol or enflurane anesthesia in patients undergoing the long term operations. The propofol group (n=25) receiver 2.0 - 2.5mg/kg propofol intravenously for the induction of anesthesia and followed by propofol infusion(6 - 12mg/kg/h). The enflurane group (n=25) was induced as the propofol group and followed by enflurane(1-2 MAC) addministration. All patients received nitrous oxide (50%) in oxygen immediately after tracheal intubation. All anesthetic agents were stopped at the time of last stitch. The hemodynamic changes were recorded and the recovery was assessed with the time from discontinuation of all anesthetics to extubation and the indices of consciousness at early recovery(recall name, eye opening on command, raise hand on request and coughing on request). The recovery tests showed no differences between the groups. Systolic pressure after intubation in propofol group was significantly increased (p<0.05), compared with enflurane group. In propofol group, seven patients received fentanyl because of light anesthetic depth. The frequency of nausea and vomiting was similar between the groups. In conclusion, the long propofol anesthesia was not associated with faster recovery than enflurane anesthesia and propofol as an agent of anesthetic maintenance was unfavorable.
