        The purpose of this experimental study was carried out for the estimate of the properties of underwater non-segregation concrete. Properties of antiwashout underwater concrete is different from other type of concrete and the selection of cement types is greatly dependent on the structural requirement and construction location associated with control compressive strength and modulus of rupture Based on this, this study addresses the comparison of physical properties of concrete according to the use of different cement types. It is also recommended to select a proper cement type depending ton structural characteristics. Rational analytic formula for the modulus of rupture is to predicted from compressive strength of concrete cylinder.

      • 모래다짐말뚝(SCP) 개량지반의 응력분담비에 관한 연구

        Lots of soil improvement methods has been developed in order to increase soil properties of soft ground such as newly reclaimed land The sand compaction pile(SCP), which forms a composite ground by driving sand piles into soft ground, is one of the commonly used soil improvement techniques especially for soft clay deposit. In desinging SCP method, it is very important to determine the stress concentration ratio of composite ground. In this study, 3-dimensional analyses were carried out using single and group pile models to evaluate the stress concentration ratio with the area replacement ratio and the stiffness ratio. PENTAGON_3D software is used to analyze the composite ground using modeling with single pile of unit cell concept and group piles. As a result, the distribution of the predicted stress concentration ration with the stiffness ratio(Es/Ec) and the area replacement ratio is around 2.5 ~ 3.5

      • 수중불분리 콘크리트의 부착특성에 관한 실험적 연구

        An experimented study was carried out for the estimate of the bond strength property of underwater non-segregation concrete. The action of bond force and slip are affected by various factors. Bond is made up of three components of chemical adhesion and friction, mechanical interaction between concrete and steel. But properties of underwater non-segregation concrete is different from other type of concrete. This study addresses the comparison of physical properties of concrete according to the use of different cement types. It is also recommended to select a proper cement type depending on structural characteristics. Rational analytic formula for the modulus of rupture and bond stress are to be predicted from compressive strength of concrete.

      • 허혈성 흰쥐 해마에서 NMDA수용체 아단위 NR2B와 세포골격단백질 MAP-2의 변화

        전반적 저산소증(global ischemia) 과 불완전 국소허혈(incomplete focal ischemia)에서 신경세포의 NMDA수용체 아단위 2B와 세포골격단백질 MAP2의 변화를 알아보기 위하여 immunoblot방법과 면역 조직화학법으로 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 해마신경세포의 연접이후치밀질(postsynaptic density, PSD) 를 이용한 NR2B, MAP2표현의 변화를 알아보면 저 산소증과 불완정 국소허혈에서 3일 후 감소 하다가 6일 후에는 점차 정상 수준으로 환원되었으며(저 산소증의 MAP2제외)반대편 해마의 경우 NR2B는 3일경과 후 표현이 감소 하다가 6일 후에는 정상 수준 이상으로 증가 하였으며 MAP2는 정상과 변화가 없었다. 2. 해마의 면역조직화학법에서 MAP2의 표현은 저 산소증과 동측의 불완전 국소허혈 부위의 CA1, CA3, DG 전체 지역에서 정상에 비해 3일 후 감소 하다가 6일 후 증가 하였다(허혈의 반대측 해마의 경우는 CA1에서 MAP2의 표현이 6일째 감소됨.) 이상의 관찰 결과를 종합 해볼때 해마 신경세포의 지연성 손상은 NMDA수용체 아단위 2B의 감소와 세포골격단백질 MAP2를 파괴하며 그 시기는 3일 이전에 일어나 6일경에는 회복하는 단계를 거치는 것으로 생각되며 정확한 회복 시기는 허혈의 정도에 따라 차이가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 또한 허혈 반대편 부위에서의 NR2B와 MAP2의 면역 반응성 감소는 허혈지역의 주변부위에서(penumbra)에서 나타나는 현상과 일치하였다. Changes of NR2B & MAP-2 expression in global and focal ischemia Department of Anatomy, School of Medicine, DongGuk University YONG WOOK JUNG M.D., IL SOO MOON Ph.D., BOK HYUN KO M.D Microtubule associated protein 2 (MAP-2) degradation by Ca2' - dependent proteases after NMDARs (NRs) activation has been postulated in delayed hippocampal neuronal damage.. Degradation of MAP-2 in rat brain after hypoxia and ischemia was investigated through immunoblot analyses and immunohistochemistry. In order to test the changes of each NR subunits (NR2B) and MAP2 in neuronal damage, we carried out in vivo experiments to see if there is selective changes of MAP-2 and NR2B in global hypoxia and focal left common carotid artery ligation.. We found that, in global ischemia, NR2B was down-regulated and recovered to normal level by 3 and 6 days while MAP-2 was unchanged by the same days compared to untreated hippocampus, and that similar changes regarding to NR2B and MAP-2 were observed at ipsilateral hippocampus in focal ischemia. In contralateral hippocampus, NR2B expression was decreased and MAP-2 expression was unchanged compared to untreated hippocampus. These results imply that NR2B and MAP2 expression are regulated on the degree of ischemic damage in delayed neuronal death and that, in focal ischemia, down-regulation of NR2B in contralateral hippocampus may be a similar effect which is seen in the peripheral zone (penumbra) of ischemic region.

      • 허혈성 흰쥐 대뇌에서 NMDA 수용체 아단위2A와 중간세사섬유들의 변화

        대뇌피질의 지연성 신경손상과 NMDA수용체 아단위2A, NF200K, GFAP의 표현 변화와의 관계를 알아보기 위해 전반적 저산소증(92% N2/8% O2)과 불완전 국소허혈(왼온목동맥 결찰)을 시행하였으며 허혈성 손상이 후 대뇌 피질에서의 NR2A,NF200K,GFAP의 변화는 immuno blot방법과 면역조직화학법을 이용하여 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1)허혈 손상 3일 후 대뇌 피질 PSD에서의 NR2A항체에 대한 면역 반응성은 정상에 비해 증가하였 으며 NF200K의 면역 반응성은 감소하였다. 2) 허혈 손상 6일 후 대뇌 피질 PSD에서의 NR2A, NF200K항체에 대한 면역 반응성은 함께 감소 하였다. 3) 면역조직화학법에서 NF200K,GFAP에 대한 중간세사섬유들의 표현은 3일 후 정상에 비해 함께 감소 하였다가 6일 후 허혈의 정도에 따라 증가군과 감소군으로 나누어졌다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 대뇌 피질 PSD에서 NF200K는 3일 이전에는 NR2A의 양에 의해 조절되며 6일 이후에는 NR2A, NF200K 모두 손상되는 과정을 거치는 것으로 생각된다. 또한 별아교세포의 증식은 신경세포 손상을 방지 하기위해 보상적으로 증가하는 것으로 생각 된다. Ischemic brain cortex has been developed to understand the relationship between delayed neuronal damage at the cerebral cortex regions and the expression of NMDA receptor subunit (NR2A), NF200K and GFAP in the conditions of global hypoxia and focal left common carotid artery ligation. Changes of NR2A, NF200K and GFAP in rat brain after ischemic injury were investigated through immunoblot analyses and immunohistochemistry. We found that immunoreactivity to NR2A antibody in the cerebral cortex PSD was up-regulated and recovered to normal by 3 and 6 days while NF200K was down-regulated by 3 and 6 days. Immunoreactivity to anti-NF200K and GFAP antibody was decreased at the third day but by sixth day they were varied on the degree of ischemic damage. These resulys imply that the amount of NR2A and NF200K in cerebral cortex PSD at the third day were reversely changed but by the sixth day all of them were decreased in the process of delayed neuronal damage and that, neuroprotective proliferation of astrocytes may be compensated by the elevation of neuronal cell damage.

      • 만성 C형 간염 환자에서 페그인터페론 알파2a와 리바비린 병합 치료중 발생한 벨마비 1예

        페그인터페론과 리바비린 병합요법은 만성 C형 간염의 일차 치료법이다. 저자들은 만성 C형 간염 환자에서 페그인터페론 과 리바비린 병합 요법 중에 발생한 벨마비 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 환자는 5년 전부터 만성 C형 간염을 앓아온 48세 남자이며, PEG-IFN α-2a 135μgm 피하주사 주1회와 하루 1200㎎의 리바비린을 투여하였다. 치료시작 후 9개월째 환자는 오른쪽 안면의 근력약화를 호소하였으며 벨마비로 진단되었다. 페그인터페론과 리바비린 병합요법을 지속하면서 관찰하였다. 환자의 벨마비는 페그인터페론 치료를 중단하지 않았음에도 3개월후 증상이 회복되고 이후 벨마비 재발 없이 현재 경과관찰 중이다. 만성 C형 간염에서 페그인터페론과 리바비린 병합 요법시 벨마비의 발생 가능성을 염두에 두어야 하겠다. A Case of Bell's Palsy Associated with Combination Therapy of Pegylated Interferon Alfa-2a (PEG-IFN) and Ribavirin for Chronic Hepatitis C Virus Infection Pegylated interferon alfa(PEG-IFN α) and ribavirin therapy is the first line treatment for chronic hepatitis C. Mild complications of the therapy are common, but more serious complications are rare. We report here a case of Bell's palsy that occurred in a patient with chronic hepatitis C virus infection during combination therapy of PEG-IFN α-2a and ribavirin. The patient was 49-year-old man with chronic hepatitis C (genotype 1b) for 8 years. He had compensated liver cirrhosis with splenomegaly. Therapy with PEG-IFN α- 2a 135mcg/week and ribavirin 1200mg/day was initiated. After 9 months of the therapy, the patient showed a loss of muscular tone on the right side of his face. A diagnosis of Bell's palsy was made. The Bell's palsy resolved over 3 months despite continuation of the combination therapy.

        분석결과 검증 및 신뢰성 확보를 위한 실험실간 협력 실험

        The residual study of pesticide has been used in various areas, such as food safety, environmental protection, establishment of tolerance, and explaining the pathway and reaction mode of pesticides, and its importance was expected to increase further more. The aspect of food safety, the pesticide residue survey have been practiced at many organizations, but there were no verification of analytical results at present. In this experiment, we focused on instrumental stability, including response of each instrument and the recovery ratio of each organization's method. As samples for this experiment, we prepared cucumber and sesame, and chose 4 pesticides (bifenthrin, chlorpyrifos, diazinon, and ethoprophos), which were mostly detected from pesticide residue survey and widely used for each crop. The standard deviation of peak areas in the chromatogram of each pesticide were under 1.212 %, so it showed that most instruments were stable. The relationship of recovery ratio of each organization were over 0.996 for every pesticide and each organization. Finally, the analytical results for pesticide residue from each participated organization were not statically significant and we could put confidence in the result from each organization.

      • Suppressive Effects of Anthocyanins on Athma-specific T-helper 2 Cytokine Expression and β-Hexosaminidase Release in IgE-Antigen Complex-Stimulated RBL-2H3 Cells

        Anthocyanins belong to a group of flavonoid compounds and are well known for their various health beneficial effects including antioxidative activities. Among them, the major anthocyanins isolated from the seed coat of black soybean (Glycine max L.) were previously characterized as glycosides having glucopyranose. Asthma is an allergic disease that is strongly associated with various immune cells including basophils and mast cells. Eosinophils, basophils and mast cells play important roles in asthma through the release of inflammatory mediators such as athma-specific T-helper (Th)2 cytokines and subsequent amplification of asthma symptoms by their degranulation. Rat basophilic leukemia RBL-2H3 cells was the most common in vitro models used for evaluating asthmatic reactions. We examined the effects of anthocyanin from the seed coat of black soybean (Glycine max L.) on the antigen-stimulated degranulation and Th2 cytokines production in RBL-2H3. Cell degranulation was evaluated by detecting the release of β -hexosaminidase. The β-hexosaminidase release and Th2 cytokine production in RBL-2H3 cells upon stimulation with IgE-antigen complex was much higher those that in untreated control cells. Anthocyanins significantly suppressed the IgE-antigen complex-induced degranulation of RBL-2H3 and inhibited IgE-antigen complex-mediated interleukin (IL)-4, IL-13 and TNF-α production in RBL-2H3 cells. These findings suggest that anthocyanins from the seed coat of black soybean (Glycine max L.) effectively inhibit asthmatic reactions and may have beneficial effects against allergic asthma.

        쌀의 외관, 호화특성 및 물성 차이에 따른 품종별 분류

        벼 품종 간 이화학적 특성 및 취반특성에 관여하는 요인을 구명하여 취반특성별 품종 군을 분류하고 밥맛이 좋은 품종의 취반특성 요인을 구명하여 고품질 품종이 갖는 미질 요인을 파악함으로써 고품질 품종육성 및 품종선발의 지표로 삼고자 실험을 수행하였는바 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 백도는 대야벼, 호평벼, 고시히까리가 높았고 현미의 경도는 일품벼가 낮았으며 신동진벼가 가장 높았다. 2. 호화점도 특성중 호평벼와 고시히까리는 대야, 호안벼에 비하여 강하점도가 높고 치반점도, 응집점도가 낮았으며 특히 고시히까리는 최고점도, 강하점도가 매우 높은 반면 치반점도와 응집점도가 낮았다. 반면 일품, 운광벼는 다른 품종보다 강하점도는 낮고 치반점도가 높았다. 3. 품종별 물성 요인에서는 밥알의 경도는 호평벼가 다른 품종보다 유의적으로 낮았고 응집성이 높았다 반면 점성 및 부착성, 균형도는 고시히까리가 높았다. 4. 밥맛을 간접적으로 평가할 수 있는 기계적 식미치 검정에서는 대야벼 호안벼가 낮고 일품벼, 운광벼가 높았다. We analyzed factors which related with rice quality at seven varieties. The whiteness of Daeyabyeo, Hopyeongbyeo and Koshihikari were higher than those of other rice varieties. In the hardness of brown rice, Ilpumbyeo was the lowest, and Sindongjinbyeo was the highest among varieties. The hardness cooked rice of Hopyeongbyeo were significantly low, and cohesiveness of those were significantly high. but adhesiveness, viscosity and gumminess of Ko-shihikari was high than other cooked rice varieties. The palatability of Daeyabyeo and Hopyeongbyeo were higher than those of Ilpunbyeo and Ungwangbyeo. Varieties which were known as having good palatability were higher in the breakdown, while setback and consistency were low. In those varieties, factors of upper were correlated with palatability, so this were supposed to determine palatability.

      • Structure and Immune Modulating Activity of a Polysaccharide Purified from Mulberry Fruits Pericarp

        In the present study, we investigated structure and immune modulating activity of a polysaccharide (tentatively named JS-MP-1), previously purified from Mulberry fruits (Morus bombycis Koidz) pericarp. Based on HPAEC-PAD analysis, major monosaccharides of JS-MP-1 were shown to be galactose (37.6% in mole percentage), arabinose (36.3%) and rhamnose (18.4%), respectively. EA analysis did not show the presence of sulfur (0.07%). Biochemical analysis showed neutral sugars (35.25%), uronic acid (11.25%), sulfate (0.16%) and proteins (0.3%). FT-IR spectra of JS-MP1 confirmed the presence of carboxyl groups (uronic acid – α-GalAp in RG1) and COC, CO and CC stretching vibrations at 948 – 1150 cm-1 corresponding to polysaccharides. Peak at 894 cm-1 indicates the presence of β-Galp units. 1H-NMR spectrum (in D2O) confirmed the presence of α-1,2-Rhap, α-Araf, β -Galp and α-1,4-GalAp units. The most intense HMQS signals were observed for terminal α-Araf. The presence of methylester groups in the residues of α -1,4-GalAp was confirmed by the HMQS peak at C 54.3/H 4.01 ppm (OCH3). Taken collectively, the JS-MP-1 is probably a rhamnogalacturonan type 1 (RG1), which contains: (a) partially methyl esterified α-1,4-D-GalAp and α -1,2-L-Rhap units in backbone, and (b) α-L-Araf and β-Galp are bound to Rha as terminal units or more complex side chains (arabinan, galactan and/or arabinogalactan). The ELISA assay showed that JS-MP-1 remarkably stimulates the release of the proinflammatory cytokines, TNF-α and IL-6, in a dose-dependent manner, from the RAW 264.7 cells. RT-PCR analysis also showed a significant induction of the iNOS and COX-2 gene expression. These results suggest that JS-MP-1 isolated from the Mulberry fruits has immune modulating activities.
