        Finite-element-method based Adaptive Iterative Learning Control for a Rapid Thermal Processing System

        For the temperature regulation in a rapid thermal processing system in semiconductor manufacturing, we develop an adaptive iterative learning controller based on the finite-element-method in this paper. A finite-dimensional model of the system is constructed by the finite-element-method firstly. Then, adaptive iterative learning controller is designed based on the finite-dimensional model. Simulations are performed by heating the wafer in the system with the developed control method. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive iterative learning controller.

        An Adaptive Discrete-Time ILC Strategy using Fuzzy Systems for Iteration-Varying Reference Trajectory Tracking

        In this article, a novel fuzzy systems based on adaptive Iterative Learning Control (ILC) strategy is presented to deal with a class of non-parametric nonlinear discrete-time systems which perform iteration-varying reference trajectory tracking. Using the technique of fuzzy systems to compensate for the non-parametric uncertainty of the discrete-time system dynamics, the proposed adaptive ILC scheme can well track the iteration-varying reference trajectory beyond the initial time points. The convergence of the fuzzy systems based adaptive ILC algorithm is guaranteed by theoretical analysis, and a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the adaptive ILC scheme.

        천카이거(陳凱歌) 영화 <요묘전(妖猫傳)>의 성당문화(盛唐文化) 재현에 대한 일고찰 ― 성당(盛唐) 아니마의 표상인 양귀비(楊貴妃)와 페르소나 사이의 관계를 중심으로

        The movie “Legend of Demon Cat(妖猫傳)” is a work by Chen Kaige(陳凱歌), the fifth-generation Chinese director. This film is an adaptation of a Japanese novel based on the historical events of Tang dynasty(唐朝), depicting Tang’s culture from its peak to decline as a fantasy embodied by spectacular spectacles. In this article, the director’s cinematic reproduction reflects his complex about his ideal cultural prototype, and attempted to detox from Jung’s analytic psychological perspective. In other words, Yang guifei(楊貴妃), the symbolic Anima of ShengTang(盛唐, the Great Tang Period), and the male characters surrounding her can be analyzed as a multifaceted personas attempting to project an anima. The rationality of this analysis is related to the aesthetic pursuit of cultural anima, which the director has consistently emphasized. Thus, this archetype analysis can be decoded as the director’s own spiritual projection of Chinese culture and its cultural ideals. Through the analytical psychological approach to the characters in the film and the deciphering of the animatic projection, the director critically depicts cultural oppression by the dominant power, and at the same time has an ambivalent orientation that longs for the brilliant exhibition of culture. In addition, it was found that he repeatedly resisted in the process of pursuing an ideal culture that respects heterogeneous things and allows free communication and fusion, and that the frustration of that resistance is converging into personal transcendence and return to daydream and fantasy.

        Establishment of a model to evaluate the nutritional quality of Bombyx mori Linnaeus (Lepidoptera, Bombycidae) pupae lipid based on principal components

        Silkworm pupae are a source of edible lipid with a high content of unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs) (70% of total lipid content) and are becoming a focus of pharmaceutical and dietary research in the functional oil field. To study the nutritional value of different silkworm strains, principal component analysis (PCA) was used to establish a mathematical model and cluster analysis on silkworm pupae lipid (SPL) in 90 strains based on Z-score. Single-factor correlation analysis indicated that the PUFAs content was significantly positively correlated with the α-linolenic acid (ALA) (ρ=0.98) and negatively correlated with the oleic acid (OA) (ρ=−0.73) contents, and comprehensive of principal components mathematical model (PC =0.148ZX1 +0.00 2ZX2 −0.197ZX3 −0.338ZX4 +0.220ZX5 +0.304ZX6 +0.314ZX7, ZXi is the standard score (Z-score) of X1, which was calculated as follow: ZXi = (Xi −−X )/S, where X1: palmitic acid, X2: palmitoleic acid, X3: stearic acid, X4: OA, X5: linoleic acid, X6: ALA, X7: PUFAs.−X is the arithmetic mean content of variable i, and S is the standard deviation of variable i for all samples included in the analysis.) showed the amount of ALA and PUFAs were the key factors determining the nutritional value of the pupae lipid. Cluster analysis on the composite scores calculated by the model of the principal component divided the 90 strains into three groups. A cluster of 6 strains (XHR, XIFF, ZX, YT, YO and BTN) with the best nutritional value was characterized by high contents of ALA and PUFAs and a low content of oleic acid.

        Heavy concrete shielding properties for carbon therapy

        As medical facilities are usually built at urban areas, special concrete aggregates and evaluation methods are needed to optimize the design of concrete walls by balancing density, thickness, material composition, cost, and other factors. Carbon treatment rooms require a high radiation shielding requirement, as the neutron yield from carbon therapy is much higher than the neutron yield of protons. In this case study, the maximum carbon energy is 430 MeV/u and the maximum current is 0.27 nA from a hybrid particle therapy system. Hospital or facility construction should consider this requirement to design a special heavy concrete. In this work, magnetite is adopted as the major aggregate. Density is determined mainly by the major aggregate content of magnetite, and a heavy concrete test block was constructed for structural tests. The compressive strength is 35.7 MPa. The density ranges from 3.65 g/cm<sup>3</sup> to 4.14 g/cm<sup>3</sup>, and the iron mass content ranges from 53.78% to 60.38% from the 12 cored sample measurements. It was found that there is a linear relationship between density and iron content, and mixing impurities should be the major reason leading to the nonuniform element and density distribution. The effect of this nonuniformity on radiation shielding properties for a carbon treatment room is investigated by three groups of Monte Carlo simulations. Higher density dominates to reduce shielding thickness. However, a higher content of high-Z elements will weaken the shielding strength, especially at a lower dose rate threshold and vice versa. The weakened side effect of a high iron content on the shielding property is obvious at 2.5 µSv=h. Therefore, we should not blindly pursue high Z content in engineering. If the thickness is constrained to 2 m, then the density can be reduced to 3.3 g/cm<sup>3</sup>, which will save cost by reducing the magnetite composition with 50.44% iron content. If a higher density of 3.9 g/cm<sup>3</sup> with 57.65% iron content is selected for construction, then the thickness of the wall can be reduced to 174.2 cm, which will save space for equipment installation.

        Blue organic light-emitting diodes with 2-methyl-9,10- bis(naphthalen-2-yl)anthracene as hole transport and emitting layer and the impedance spectroscopy analysis

        2-methyl-9,10-bis(naphthalen-2-yl)anthracene (MADN) based fluorescent blue organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are demonstrated. With MADN as emitting layer, experiments indicate that thick MADN (40e60 nm) is preferable for constructing efficient blue OLED. With MADN as hole-transport and emitting layer and tris(8-hydroxy-quinolinato)aluminium (Alq3) as electron-transport layer, the OLED electroluminescent characteristics show a mixture emission of MADN and Alq3 with Commission Internationale d'Eclairage (CIE) color coordinates of (0.25, 0.34), indicating feasible hole transporting in MADN. Using 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BPhen) replacing Alq3 as electron-transport layer, the OLED shows deep blue emission with a maximum luminous efficiency of 4.8 cd/A and CIE color coordinates of (0.16, 0.09). The hole transport characteristics of MADN are further clarified by constructing hole-only device and performing impedance spectroscopy analysis. The results indicate that MADN shows superior hole-transport ability which is almost comparable to typical hole-transport material of N,N0-bis(naphthalen-1-yl)-N,N0-bis(phenyl)-benzidine (NPB), suggesting a promising application for constructing efficient blue OLED with integrated hole-transport layer and emitting layer.

        Control Strategy Based on Equivalent Fundamental and Odd Harmonic Resonators for Single-Phase DVRs

        In this paper, a digital control strategy based on equivalent fundamental and odd harmonic resonators is proposed for single-phase DVRs. By using a delay block, which can be equivalent to a bank of resonators, it rejects the fundamental and odd harmonic disturbances effectively. The structure of the single closed-loop control system consists of a delay block, a proportional gain and a set of zero phase notch filters. The principle of the controller design is discussed in detail to ensure the stability of the system. Both the supply voltage and the load current feedforwards are used to improve the response speed and the ability to eliminate disturbances. The proposed controller is simple in terms of its structure and implementation. It has good performances in harmonic compensation and dynamic response. Experimental results from a 2kW DVR prototype confirm the validity of the design procedure and the effectiveness of the control strategy.

        Phase Shift Control for Series Active Voltage Quality Regulators

        A phase shift algorithm based on the closed-loop control of dc-link voltage implemented on a series active voltage quality regulator (AVQR) is proposed in this paper. To avoid pumping-up the dc-link voltage, a general phase shift compensation strategy is applied. The relationships among the operation variables are discussed in detail, which is very important for guiding the design of both the main circuit and the control system. Then on the basis of an investigation of the dc-link voltage pumping-up from viewpoint of the active power flow, a novel phase shift control method based on the closed-loop of the dc-link voltage is proposed. This method can adjust the phase of the output voltage gradually and automatically according to the dc-link voltage variation without introducing a phase jump. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through simulations of a single-phase 5kVA prototype and laboratory experiments on both a single-phase 5kVA and a three-phase 15kVA prototype.

        Conductivity relaxation in NiTiO3 at high temperatures

        NiTiO3 ceramics were prepared via the traditional solid-state reaction route. The dielectric properties of NiTiO3 ceramics have been systematically investigated in the temperature range from room temperature to 1073 K NiTiO3 ceramics exhibit intrinsic dielectric response in the temperature range below 400 K. Two relaxations were observed in the temperature range higher than 400 K. The relaxation activation energy is 0.95 eV and 1.17 eV for the low- and high-temperature relaxations, respectively. Our results strongly indicate that the two relaxations are related to conductivity relaxation associated with the singly and doubly ionized oxygen vacancies.
