Melanogenesis is a physiological process resulted in the synthesis of melanin pigments, which have a role in protecting skin from the damaging effect of ultra-violet(UV) radiation. The main aim of the present study was to examine the effect of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica on melanogenesis. Cells were cultured in the presence of methanol extracts from Ulmus davidiana var. japonica for 48 h, and there were estimated total melanin content as a final product and activity of tyrosinase, a key enzyme, in melanogenesis. Methanol extracts of the bark Ulmus davidiana var. japonica increased tyrosinase activity and melanin contents in a dose-dependent manner. Especially, It was observed that only 100 μg/ml methanol extract stimulates melanin secretion in B16/F10 melanoma cells by 140% at 48 h treatment and activity of tyrosinase increased by 250 % in the presence of same concentration.

The purpose of this paper is to study a vehicle routing and scheduling problem in Route Sales Type. In Route Sales Type, the vehicle routing problem(VRP) is a cyclic sales type for main customers to promotion relationship between them. We present a multiphase approach to the vehicle routing problem in route sales type. In the first phase, we allocated to delivery area by a available vehicle. the allocation method focus to load balancing between driver. The second phase, we allocated to service frequencies that satisfy effective customer management. The third phase consists of an modified savings method that further reduces the distribution costs by addressing the actual vehicle routes of the period routing problem. The position data and the distance data for per customer are obtained from the map data of GIS engine. The application and the effectiveness of the system were shown through case studies.

The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship among style of leadership, job satisfaction, and efficacy of sport service organization. In order to achive this purpose three reaserch questions were established. Participants for this study were 300 of 23-50 overaged public workers. Of participations valid data were 279. They completed a modified inventory of the style of leadership, job satisfaction and efficacy of sport service organization. More details, style of leadership Scale modified by Ahn(2000), job satisfaction by Ahn (2000) and efficacy of sport service organization by Kim(2001) were using after remodifing scale to investigate the purpose of this study. Results were analysed in quantitative approaches. Data were collected through self-administered survey. The most three meaningful results of the study were as follows; First, there was influenced to relationship between style of leadership and job satisfaction. Second, there was influenced to relationship between style of leadership and efficacy of sport service organization. Third, there was influenced to relationship among style of leadership, job satisfaction, and efficacy of sport service organization.

『앨튼 로크』 : Kingsley's Political Discourse 킹슬리의 정치적 담론

AbstractThe turbulent 1840's of England posed a great deal of social political questions to which novelists responded with industrial novels. Alton Locke is the way in which Charles Kingsley responded to the times. Kingsley wrote it not just to expose the condition of England but to propound his ideal of social reform. Christian Socialism.Chartism, the crucial political event of the 1840's, is at the centre of the novel toward which the plot moves, but Kingsley deals with it positively and at the same time negatively. He criticizes `physical force' chartim in favour of `moral force' chartism, but his `moral force' chartism is incorporated into his Christian Socialism, losing its political character. What Kingsley tries to do through the story of a tailor, Alton Locke, is to educate a working man to be a christian socialist, a new ideal Chartist through whom he propounds Christian Socialism.The novel, however, does not fulfil his claim. The narrative discourse betrays Kingsley's intention to present his new social ideology; the incongruity of narrative form and content creates contradiction and inconsistency, making it impossible for the reader to draw out a systematic ideology. Kingsley adopts an autobiographical form to describe a history of mental development of a working man. while what he actually attempts to do is to attack the commercial middle-class who are responsible for the present social turbulence. The narrative does not move forward: its movement is frequently checked by Kingsley who steps forward to give a speech to the audience. What the narrative discourse actually conveys is not any systematic ideas but the power of rhetoric.Kingsley is exercising the power of discourse mainly upon the middle-class. They are irresponsible because they are negligent about the working class. Kingsley thinks the middle-class has to help the working-class get their representatives in the Parliament to keep the long-standing social hierarchy of England. The narrative discourse of Alton Locke reveals Kingsleys political position whose apprarently radical stance is a mask hiding his fear of the destruction of the inherited social structure of England.

RP 시스템을 위한 뷰어 구현

The purpose of this paper is to develop a STL viewer implementation for RP system. The STL which is a standard specification for exchanging data of RP, is simple and easy for transforming 3D data to 2D slicing data. But, STL does not have the information of coordinate origin for displaying 3D facet data. And STL has problems which is called facet overlap, lack of accuracy measure, and errors of normal vector value. We solved these problems using scaling, linear transformation, verifier and error corrector. We tested and verified that our STL viewer has a good property in views of stability, extension, and efficiency.

투기적 자본주의 시대의 디킨즈의 여성 이데올로기 : 『우리 서로의 친구』에 대하여

Critical discussions of Our Mutual Friend(OMF) often dissociate the public sphere of speculative capitalism and the private sphere of domestic virtue, paying little attention to many historical strands which have worked into the construction of Victorian domestic ideology. I have attempted to read OMF in the historical context of England's new economic climate of the late 1850's and early 1860's which followed the Joint Stock Companies Act of 1856. With its general limited liability, the new financial arrangements generated fears about moral ambiguities as well as an unprecedented speculative boom. This paper explores the characteristics of the speculative world of capitalism presented in OMF, and Dickens's 'woman ideology' in its relation to the new economic climate. The dynamics of speculation generated by the principle of 'money makes money' is presented through the 'Society' of the Veneerings. The world, where the 'exchange value' prevails over 'intrinsic value,' floats without an anchor. In this world of OMF, an ideal woman, an incarnation of morality and value, is missing. Bella Wilfer has to learn to overcome her lust for money in order to be a woman with domestic virtue. And Lizzie Hexam comes back from her flight only after Eugene Wrayburn realizes the superiority of morality over his sexual lust near the end of the story. My research demonstrates that Dickens's attempt to bring back his ideal woman, the bearer of 'intrinsic value,' to a world deprived of any reliable criterion to tell right and wrong reveals inherent contradictions and limitations of his 'woman ideology,' and these contradictions and limitations imply Dickens has attempted to overturn traditional Victorian woman ideology. Changes in Dickens's attitude toward traditional Victorian woman ideology show that he no longer supports and believes in the Victorian middle-class systems of value in political, social, moral problems.

정부개혁의 비판적 성찰과 전략적 대안

세계 각국의 정부 개혁 추세에 맞추어 한국 정부도 정부 개혁을 수행하고 있지만 그 성과에 대한 정확한 평가에 대해서는 의견이 일치하지 않고 있다. 무엇보다도 정부 개혁을 만병통치약으로 받아들이는 태도를 경계하여야 하며, 성과에 대한 성급한 판단 이전에 정부개혁과 관련한 다양한 문제점들을 잘 살펴보는 일이 선행될 필요가 있다. 이 연구에서는 김대중 정부의 개혁 정책-정부구조조정과 인사개혁의 두 차원-의 문제점에 관하여 비판적인 성찰을 하고, 한국의 정부개혁의 위상을 파악하고자 하였다. 비록 엄밀한 실증적인 분석을 하지는 못하였으나 질적인 담론을 통하여 김대중 정부의 개혁의 문제점 및 과제를 제시하고자 하였다. 정부 구조 조정 분야에서는 1) 개혁의 방향성 및 일관성 문제, 2) 조직 분권화 및 민주화 문제, 3) 정책 조정 문제, 4) 권한의 하부 위임 문제, 5) 인력 감축 관리 문제, 6) 공무원 전문성 제고 문제, 7) 책임운영기관제도의 문제, 8) 개혁의 시기와 방법 문제 등이 지적되었으며, 인사개혁(개방형임용제도) 분야에서는 1) 민간과 공직간의 신뢰관계 축적 미흡, 2) 공직과 민간의 이익과 목표간의 부합도가 낮은 상황에서 개방형 직위제가 적용, 3) 공직과 민간간의 협력 훈련 경험 부족, 4) 개방형직위제의 선정 작업이 공직 내부에서의 토의를 배제한 채 외부의 경영진단기관의 판단에 따라 하향적으로 적용되었다는 문제가 지적되었다. 결론적으로 이 연구는 한국의 정부 개혁은 빈약한 정부 개혁 논리 속에서 내부적인 합의와 신뢰관계를 구축하지 못한 채 제대로 된 위상을 정립하지 못하고 있기 때문에 향후 정부 개혁이 많은 시행 착오를 겪을 것으로 예상하였다.

임플란트 식립을 위한 상악동 점막 거상술의 결과

Background: Although dental implantation has become widespread and acceptable treatment for dental prosthodontics, maxillary posterior jaw region is often complicated by the pneumatization of the maxillary sinus and physiological resorption of the alveolar bone. When this occurs, the residual bone between the floor of the sinus and the crestal ridge is inadequate for the placement of implants. The sinus elevation procedure provides a way to increase the amount of available bone and to allow the placement of longer implants. Materials & methods: We studied 11 patients requiring the implant placements and the maxillary sinus elevation simultaneously from 1996 to 2003 in our clinic. Nine patients were males and two patients were females, aged from 39 to 72(mean=51.6). Four patients had medical compromised states; angina pectoris, diabetes, hypertension, hepatitis. Patients didn't show any pathologic findings clinically or radiographically. We studied the success and survival rate of implants, factors increasing the osseointegrating capacity of implants. Results: The success rate of osseointegration of implants was 93%. At least 6 months after loading on implants, the survival rate of implants was 78.5%. Autogenous bone graft and adequate residual bone height(>6mm) increased survival rate of implants. Conclusion: Successful implant placement with maxillary sinus elevation mainly depends on sufficient residual bone height, healthy maxillary sinus, autogenous bone graft.
