      • 12주간의 유산소성 운동이 비만 초등학생의 신체조성과 혈액성분에 미치는 영향

        [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise training on the body composition and blood components in obese elementary children after 12 weeks. [Methods] Subjects of this study were composed of 20 male students ranging in age from 9 to 12 years who were classified into two groups, obese exercise group(n=10) and normal control group(n=10). For 12 weeks, obese exercise group performed the aerobic exercise training that the program was composed by Yoon. The blood samples were taken before and after 12 week Paired t-Test was adopted to analyse the difference between before and after aerobic exercise training. [Results] body fat of obese exercise group was decreased 4.8% after aerobic exercise training(p<.01) and that of normal control group was decreased 0.1% during same time(NS). Among the blood lipoprotein, total cholesterol(p<.01), LCL-C(p<.01), and triglycerides(p<.05) of obese exercise group were decreased after aerobic exercise training, but not changed HDL-C of same group. Red blood cell, Hemoglobin(p<.65) of obese exercise group were increased after aerobic exercise training. Glucose of obese exercise group were decreased after aerobic exercise training(p<.05), but not changed in Ca and P. [Conclusion] In conclusion, aerobic exercise training for 12 weeks seems to reduce body might and body fat, and to change the profiles of blood Component in obese elementary children.

        비만 개선 효과를 지닌 탄수화물 및 지방 흡수 억제 기능성 식이조성물 개발

        In a previous study, we developed a new food additive as an egg yolk antibody (IgY) against carbohydrate digestion enzymes for the regulation of blood glucose level and weight control. The IgY delayed and decreased the increment of blood glucose level after administration of sucrose in human being by 30% in 20∼30 min. We also developed a lipase inhibitor as a water extract of two kinds of herb, Platycodon grandiflorum and Solanum melongena. Twenty three volunteers were subjected to the intake of the egg yolk IgY plus the herbal extracts for 50 days. In average, the treated subjects appeared to lose 1.96 ㎏ of body weight and 3.4 ㎏ of body fat mass during the treated period. Furthermore, Panniculus adiposus and breech size were significantly decreased during the experimental period. Above results suggested that the administration of the dietary additives composed of egg yolk IgY and natural herbal extract improve the obesity by the decrement of body weight and body fat mass.

        심초음파로 결정된 응급 심낭천자술의 천자부위

        Background: The aim of this study was to determine whether the conventional subcostal approach is suitable for emergency pericardiocentesis in patients with cardiac tamponade or impending cardiac tamponade. Methods: This study was a prospective, observational study conducted at the emergency department of a tertiary hospital, Patients who had symptomatic pericardial effusion and who needed emergency pericardiocentesis in the emergency department were included in this study. We measured the epicardium-to-pericardium distance at the subcostal, parasternal, and apical area with two-dimensional echocardiography to determine the appropriate puncture site for pericardiocentesis. An epicardium-to-pericardium distance of more than 1.0 cm was considered as the primary safety factor in determining the Puncture site for pericardiocentesis. The skin-to-pericardium distance was considered as secondary safety factor. Results: Ninety-five consecutive patients(55 males and 40 females; total mean age: 53 year old) with cardiac tamponade or impending cardiac tamponade were enrolled in this study. The puncture site for pericardiocentesis, as determined by echocardiography, was the subcostal area in 43 patients(45%), the apical area in 40 patients(42%), the left parasternal area In 11 patients(12%), and the right parastemal area in one patient(1%). Pericardiocentesis failed in 2 patients(2%) with the subcostal approach and in one patient(1%) with the apical approach. The average epicardium-to-pericardium distance was 31 ±21 mm in patients with the subcostal approach and 21±8 mm in patients with other approaches. There were no differences in the amount of pericardial fluid and in the intraperical pressure among patient groups according to puncture site. There were two procedure related complications: a puncture of the right ventricle with the subcostal approach and a ventricular tachycardia with the apical approach.

        페놀분해 효모 Candida tropicalis PW-51의 분리 및 분해특성

        본 연구는 페놀과 포름알데히드를 포함하는 페놀계수지 산업폐수의 생물학적 처리에 이용할 목적으로 포름알데히드의 존재하에서 페놀분해능이 우수한 효모를 sludge로부터 분리하여, 형태적 및 생리 생화학적 특징을 조사하여 Candida tropicalis PW-51로 동정하였다. 회분식 배양에서 C. tropicalis PW-51의 페놀 분해한계는 2,000 mg/ℓ이며, 58시간내에 완전히 분해하였다. C. tropicalis PW-51은 초기접종량이 9×10 exp (6) cells/㎖, 배양온도는 30℃, pH는 7.0에서 페놀 분해효율이 높았으며, 500~2,000 mg/ℓ의 페놀농도에서 조사된 페놀에 대한 평균 분해율은 페놀 1,000 mg/ℓ에서 45.5 mg/ℓ/h 가장 높았다. C. tropicalis PW-51의 페놀분해시 catechol 1,2-dioxygenase의 활성이 크게증가하므로 ortho-path-way에 의해 페놀을 분해하는 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서, C. tropicalis PW-51는 페놀계 수지 산업폐수의 생물학적 처리에 효과적으로 이용될 수 있는 균주로 사료된다. For the biological treatment of phenolic resin wastewater containing phenol and formaldehyde, a phenol-degrading yeast was isolated from the papermill sludge, and then identified as Candida tropicalis PW-51 according to morphological, physiological and biochemical properties. The strain was able to degrade high phenol concentrations up to 2,000 mg/ℓ within 58 hours in batch cultures. Phenol-degrading efficiency by the strain was maximum at the culture conditions of a final concentration of 9×10 exp (6) cells/㎖ 30℃ and pH 7.0. The mean degradation rate of phenol was highest at 45.5 mg/ℓ/h in 1,000 mg/ℓ phenol from 500 mg/ℓ to 2,000 mg/ℓ phenol. Because the enzyme activity of catechol 1,2-dioxygenase increased in the course of degradation of phenol, it seems that this strain degrades phenol via the ortho-cleavage of benzene ring. The isolate C. tropicalis PW-51 could be effectively used for the biological treatment of phenolic resin wastewater.

      • 영상데이타베이스 구축을 위한 건축설계도면 인식

        This paper proposes an approach to the vectorization and representation of large-size architectural drawing images. The class of drawings considered here is characterized by instances of symbols, character strings and connections. After horizontal and vertical projection of the scanned gray-scale image, symbols, character strings and connection lines are separated using a few simple yet effective generic drawing properties. The approach is based on a modified run-length image representation on a modified run-length image representation and line- by-line processing scheme with a limited amount of image line stored in memory. Within this approach fast algorithms for transformation of a large-size gray-scale image in vector form are suggested. A hierarchical data structure for the representation of these images in vector form, which stores in compact form all the needed information about connected components, segments, and feature points, is suggested. The process steps for obtaining this data structure are described. The experimental results are also shown.

        Mondor's disease has been regarded as an obliterative phlebitis usually affecting superficial vein of the chest wall. It is characteristic that the cord-like thrombosed vein which is red and tender at first changes into painless fibrous band. In the past, it was confused with lymphatic spread of carcinoma but it was confirmed that it was benign and related with the systemic diseases or cancer. The authors observed a 57-year-old female with Mondor's disease. 15 days ago, she notified the cord-like lesion on the right chest well, from right axillar fold to right iliac crest. 1. month later, the skin lesion much improved without special treatment.

        KWL 모형의 확대 적용 방안 개발 및 그 효과 검증 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate if KWL model is applied to not only lessons of reading expository text but also any other lessons. For this, we developed KWLA model for lessons of reading persuasive text, KWLE model for lessons of reading narrative text, KPWL model for lessons of speaking and listening, KWWL model for lessons of writing, kwPl model for lessons of inquiry-oriented subjects(social study, science, mathematics etc.), kwAl model for lessons of expression-oriented subjects(athletics, musics, arts etc.) through expanding and transforming basic KWL model. The results are such as : First, we confirmed that KWL model can be applied to not only lessons of reading expository text but also any other lessons of korean language subject if transformed appropriately. Second, we confirmed that KWL model can be applied to not only lessons of korean language subject but also lessons of any other subject if transformed appropriately. Third, we are able to use effectively KWL learning paper in order to assess holistically knowledge about topics and attitudes on learning, products of learning and process of learning etc. This is a kind of performance assessment. But we have to transform the basic KWL model in order to fit to new fields, to operate actively KWL class, and to assist students-initiated learning activity. If not, the effects of KWL model will be reduced to half. 이 연구는 KWL이 설명문 읽기뿐 아니라 다른 분야에도 적용이 가능한지 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 KWL의 기본 수업 모형을 확대·변형하여, 논설문 읽기 수업을 위해서 KWLA를, 이야기 글 읽기 수업을 위해서 KWLE를, 말하기·듣기 수업을 위해서 KPWL을, 쓰기 수업을 위해서 KWWL을, 사회과·과학과·수학과 등 탐구형 교과의 수업을 위해서 kwPl을, 그리고 체육과·음악과·미술과 등 표현형 교과의 수업을 위해서 kwAl을 만들어 수업에 적용하였다. 그 결과, KWL은 설명문 읽기 수업뿐 아니라 다른 장르의 읽기 수업에도, 읽기뿐 아니라 국어과 내 다른 영역의 수업에도, 나아가 국어과뿐 아니라 여타 교과의 수업에도 적용이 가능하며, 효과 또한 작지 않다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 활동의 결과물인 KWL 학습지는 학습자들의 지식뿐 아니라 태도도, 그리고 학습의 결과뿐 아니라 과정까지도 평가할 수 있게 해 주는 비형식적 수행평가의 자료로 훌륭하게 활용할 수 있다는 점도 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 함께 확대 적용의 효과를 극대화하기 위해서는 모형의 적절한 변형, 교사의 능동적인 역할, 학습자들의 자기 주도적 학습 조장 등의 조건이 갖추어져야 한다는 제언도 하였다.

        KOSDIC 포맷의 응용수준별 활용모델 개발 : KOSDIC-XML의 개발 제안을 중심으로 Proposing the Development of KOSDIC-XML

        This study proposes a methodological framework for extending the KOSDIC format, which has been developed as a standard for construction drawing file exchange. The Ministry of Construction and Transportation, in cooperation with the KICT(Korea Institute of Construction Technology), has recently finished the development of the KOSDIC 1.0, and is now seeking for strategic application scenarios in order to disseminate the KOSDIC format throughout the field works as well as the government institutes. The basic idea is that the KOSDIC format may not be well accepted in favor of legacy CAD systems unless otherwise clear benefits are experienced. Thus, we need first to define the next levels of KOSDIC development based on technical requirement and advances, second, to provide a progressive operation framework which extends the KOSDIC functionalities. Through the investigation of similar research efforts and by applying recent advances in Information Technology area, the authors have formulated futuristic application scenarios of KOSDIC format. Among the suggested methods, this paper presents the proposal of KOSDIC-XML. The KOSDIC-XML is an XML based application framework which extends the KOSDIC format by integrating various web technologies. They include channel based XML technology, Webservice framework, and distributed computing. The result of the research will be used for a theoretical framework KOSDIC-XML schema and its prorotype applications at the next phase of this research.

      • 대장균 세포내 칼모듈린 돌연변이체 고발현을 위한 클로닝 및 Chemiluminescence 검출법에 의한 발현분석

        To obtain a large amount of VU-4 calmodulin (115, Lys to Ile). VU-4 calmodulin gene with Ptac promoter (680 bp) was cloned into a plasmid, pUC18. Newly cloned pUC18/VU-4 was transferred into E. coli UT481. The plasmid isolated from cell extracts of the transformed E. coli was analyzed by restriction mapping and yielded the expected restriction endonuclease map with BamHI and EcoRI. Calmodulin was detected by Western blot analysis using chemiluminescence protocol and the estimated expression level was 60 pmole calmodulin/mg protein. Calmodulin was purified from the E. coli cell extracts by Ca^(2+)-dependent chromatography on a phenyl-Sepharose column. The purified calmodulin was identified as a mutant VU-4 calmodulin by SDS-PAGE and methyltransferase substrate test.
