We experienced a 25 year-old male patient with typhoid fever complicated with massive hemoptysis. Pulmonary complication in typhoid fever is very rare and to our knowledge, there has been no report of hemoptysis as a main cause of death with this disease. We herein report a rare case of typhoid fever.

At the end of the 20th Century, the Internet along with development of communication technology, is becoming the core of competitiveness in the global business. As the technology has been developed and generalized, the Internet has been extended for use on mobile phones. However, usage of mobile Internet in Korea remains limited on portable phones, only as a data communication tool. Thus, various mobile Internet contents should be offered to enhance the useag of the mobile Internet. According to a prior study, the mobile Internet is mostly used by young people in their late teens and 20s. The purpose of this thesis is to research the mobile Internet usage to analyze the condition of using mobile Internet content for college students and to derive suggestions of the mobile Internet in the future. The result showed, first, the majority of respondents, 78%, said, in regards to price satisfaction, that the mobile Internet is expensive to use. Secondly, the respondents generally think that the quality of service and of connection to the mobile Internet is only average in quality. Thirdly, the respondents are satisfied with the seven content services (communication, personalization, offering information, entertainment, reservation, finance, and education) that are provided for their use on the mobile Internet. The study showed that technology problems, a reasonable price system and various content developments are urgently needed to activate the market of the mobile Internet services. This study will be a very interesting field for establishing and developing content models to activate a mobile Internet in a sphere of study.

김치논문에서의 배추에 대한 학명표기와 부위별 명명법이 매우 다양하며 통일된 표기법이 요망되었으며, 배추잎을 중록과 엽신으로 표기하기 보다는 백색부위와 녹색부위로 표기하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단되었다. 배추에서 백색부위의 도관에서는 환상, 계문상 및 망상비후로 구분되었다. 배추의 일반성분은 품종별로 상당한 차이가 있었으며, 세포벽 다당류의 함량도 품종간에 상당한 차이를 보였다. 배추의 세포벽 펙틴을 겔여과한 결과 4개의 피크로 분리되었으며 2개는 개략적인 분자량이 200백만 이상, 1개는 십만내외 1개는 1만이하를 나타내었다. 헤미셀룰로즈는 2백만과 1만으로 추정되는 2개의 픽크가 분리되었다. This study was conducted to examine the morphological characteristics and cell wall polysaccharides of Chinese cabbage(Brassica). First of all, the variety of scientific name and naming of parts of Chinese cabbage in the literatures of kimchi showed, which will unify marks. So, we propose not so much mid-rib and leaf blade of Chinese cabbage leaf as white part and green part, respectively. On the other hand, the forms of vessel elements of white part in Chinese cabbage consist in ring, sclariform and reticulate thickening. The proximate compositions and contents of cell wall polysaccharides of Chinese cabbage has significant differences between its cultivars. The cell wall pectin from Chinese cabbage exhibited four peaks with molecular weights of 2,000,000, about 100,000 and less than 10,000 by gel filteration chromatography. And hemicellulose did two peaks with molecular weights of 2,000,000 and 10,000.
TiO₂ 광촉매를 이용한 Atrazine과 PCP의 분해

The photocatalytic degradation of atrazine and PCP, a endocrine disruptors, has been investigated over TiO₂ photocatalysts under ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation. The effect of operational parameters, i.e., pH, light intensity and persulphate concentration on the degradation rate of aqueous solution of atrazine and PCP has been examined. The results presented in this work demonstrate that, as pH and the light intensity increased, the photocatalytic reaction rates were enhanced. Individual use of TiO₂-persulphate was far more effective than using only TiO₂ in atrazine and PCP removal. Based on the overall experimental results, the photocatalytic oxidation of atrazine and PCP with the coated TiO₂ photocatalyst is found to be very effective under the operational conditions delineated in this study.
Hanger로 보강된 스터드 접합부의 인장거동에 관한 실험적 연구

This paper presents the tensile behavior of the stud connection between reinforced concrete(RC) and steel members. Hanger reinforcements are placed around the studs to transfer the tensile loads to the opposite side of the concrete member. Six specimens, of which variables were arrangement details of hanger reinforcements and studs. Tensile test results show that hanger reinforcements are effective to increase tensile strength and ductility. Test tensile strengths of specimens are compared with the nominal strengths by ACI codes(ACI 318-02, ACI 349-99) and PCI 1999.

다문화교육은 교과교육과정 속에 교육내용이 포함되어 다양한 인종, 민족, 계층, 문화 집단의 학생들에게 균등한 교육 기회를 보장하는 것을 목표로 한다. 그러나, 교육현장에서는 다문화 가정이 많은 학교에서 단순한 언어프로그램을 실시하거나 한국 전통문화 체험을 위주로 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 이글에서는 제7차 4학년 미술교육과정에 맞추어 다문화내용을 포함하는 다문화 미술 프로그램을 구안하고 이를 학생들에게 적용하여 창의적인 미적 표현능력을 신장시키고자 한다. 교육과정에 적합한 다문화 관련요소를 추출하고 시각문화와 친근해지기 위한 다양한 활동, 다문화 미술 교수·학습 과정 전개를 통하여 다문화 사회를 이해하고 나아가 다른 문화에 대한 편견과 차별, 소외를 극복하고 세계화· 다원화에 접근할 수 있는 인식의 폭을 넓혀 줄 수 있다. Multicultural education, included as educational materials in the Curriculum, aims to offer equal education opportunities to students from a variety of races, ethnic groups, classes and cultural groups. In this vein, this study identified multicultural elements appropriate to the 7th Art Curriculum for Year 4, developed multicultural art programs including multiculturalism according to the multicultural art teaching-learning processes and their progresses along with a variety of activities to expose students to visual culture, and applied them to students. The activities of taking active interest in and understanding visual culture improved students' ability of visual interpretation, while the teaching-learning lesson plans including multiculturalism helped teachers to be active in art class management. They also helped students to make connection with artistic experience, expression and appreciation activities as well as with expression activities and to form an understanding of social phenomena and art. Besides, the process of incorporating multicultural art programs into class increased students' creative artistic expression abilities, promoted their understanding of cultural relativity and developed a deeper long-term perspective toward life with those from diverse cultures. It is desirable that multicultural education is conducted even before elementary school so students can form their balanced world views in terms of country, region and school community. If given in incorporation with those subjects other than art, multicultural training will promote students' critical thinking, self-esteem and adaptability to new environment so they can developed positive identity.
