온${\cdot}$습도가 벼멸구(Nilaparvata lugens stal)의 생육에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 30, 25, $20^{\circ}C$의 세 수준의 온도구 내에 습도를 95, 75, 65, $35\%$의 네 수준으로 하여 2세대까지 개체사육한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. $25^{\circ}C$에서 벼멸구의 발육과 비교해 볼 때 $30^{\circ}C$에서는 난기간, 약충기간, 성충수명이 단축되었고 약충의 사망률은 증가하였으며 산란수는 크게 감소하였다. 또한 산란된 난은 수정이 되지 않았거나 배자발육도중 죽음으로서 부화가 전혀 이루어지지 않았다. 2. $25^{\circ}C$와 비교하여 $20^{\circ}C$의 저온에서는 난과 약충 발육기간이 상당히 지연되었고 성충수명이 짧아졌으며 산란수가 크게 감소하였을 뿐 아니라 부화율도 감소하였다. 3. 약충의 치사율은 RH $75\%$ 이상의 비교적 높은 습도조건에서 높았으며 또한 다습조건에서는 성충의 수명이 단축된 결과 산란수가 크게 감소하였다. The newly hatched nymphs of brown planthopper(BPH) were reared individually for two generations in test tubes, where young rice seedling was planted on agar solution, at $30^{\circ}C,\;25^{\circ}C\;and\;20^{\circ}C\;with\;95\%,\;75\%,\;65\%\;and\;35\%$ R.H. Effects of $30^{\circ}C$ on the development of BPH when compared with those of $25^{\circ}C$ are followings. Egg period, nymphal period, and adult longevity were shortened. Nymphal mortality was increased and the number of oviposited eggs was decreased. Hatchability was zero per cent because the eggs were either unfertilized or died before finishing the development. At the low temperature of $20^{\circ}C$, in comparision with $25^{\circ}C$, the developmental period of nymphs and eggs was considerably lengthened, and adult longevity was shortened, the number of oviposited eggs was decreased. The nymphal mortality was higher at high relative humidity $(above\;75\%\;RH)$ than that at low relative humidity $(under\;65\%\;RH)$. Under the condition of high relative humidities, the adult longevity was shortened, and the number of oviposited eggs was decreased.

Tryptophan, indole-3-acetaldehyde, indole-3-acetic acid(IAA), and indole-3-aldehyde were identified as endogenous IAA analogues in etiolated pea(Pisum sativum L. var. `Sparkle') shoots, which suggests a metabolic sequence(s) of tryptophan→(?)→indole-3-acetaldehyde→IAA→indole-3-aldehyde occurring in pea plants. IAA-rhamnose and IAA-glucose were tentatively confirmed as IAA conjugates.

洛東江 流域中 8個 地點에서 1982年 8月부터 1983年 6月까지 2個月 간격으로 菜取한 水質 48點, 底泥土 48點 및 붕어 29點에 대하여 有機燐系 幾留農藥을 FPD附着 GLC로 分析한 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1) 水質, 底泥土 分析時 元素黃의 干沙은 copper powder 또는 raney nickel로 除去하였다. 2) 洛東江 環境試料중 水質과 붕어에서 有機燐系 殘留農藥이 檢出되었으나 底泥土에서는 檢出되지 않았다. 3) 農藥 盛需期인 8月에 採取한 水質과 붕어試料에서는 IBP, diazinon, phenthoate, parathion, malathion 및 fenitrothion 等 6種의 有機燐系 農藥이 檢出되었다. 4) 水質 및 붕어中 有機燐系 農藥의 殘留量은 季節的 變異가 인정되었으며, 水質 및 붕어中 diazinon과 IBP의 淺留量이 가장 많았고, phenthoate, parathion, malathion 및 fenitrothion은 檢出頻度 및 殘留水準이 낮았다. Waters, sediments and crucian carps samples collected bimonthly from Nakdong river during the period of August 1982 to June 1983 were analyzed for organophosphorus pesticide residues by GLC equipped with a flame photometric detector. Among the environmental samples, IBP, diazinon, phenthoate, parathion, malathion and fenitrothion residues were found only in waters and crucian carps and sediments samples were devoid of the residues. In addition, seasonal variations of the residues in waters and crucian carps were observed. Waters and crucian carps samples collected in August, when pesticides are generally in great demand, contained all the organophosphorus pesticide residues while no organophosphorus were detected in waters and crucian carps samples collected in February, April or December. The most abundant residues in the two environmental samples were diazinon and IBP and residue levels of parathion, malathion and fenitrothion were found extremely low.
Influence of high-power diode laser heat treatment on wear resistance of a mold steel

The effect of hardness on wear loss and wear behavior during fretting was studied. A high-power diode laser was used to achieve the surface hardening of a mold steel (AISI P20-improved) at temperatures of 1000 and 1200 °C. A hardness increment was detected in laser heat-treated specimens, which may be attributed to phase transformation from ferrite to martensite, influencing wear loss and fretting wear behavior. In the fretting test results, smaller wear scars and less wear loss were observed for laser heat-treated specimens in comparison to those of base metal. Moreover, relatively more stable friction coefficient profiles were obtained for the laser heat-treated specimens due to uniform contact characteristics at two contacting surfaces. The effectiveness of the proposed technique was verified by the morphology of the wear scars of the treated specimens, which had a smooth appearance and minor abrasion grooves.
