      • 닭에서 오존수의 급여가 닭와포자충 감염에 미치는 영향

        Ozone is very effective in acute and chronic viral disease as a virucidal agent and in improving the general health of the animals. The effects of ozonized water supply against Cryptosporidium baileyi was studied in 2-day-old chicken. After oral inoculation of chicken with 1×10^6 oocysts, ozonized water(0.5ppm) and tap water were supplied to experimental and control group, respectively. The prepatent period of both group was 6 days postinoculation(PI). The patent period of experimental group was shorter(6-18 days) than that of control group(6-22 days). The number of oocysts in the feces were maximum on days 11 PI, indicating 1.99×10^6 oocysts/experimental chicken and 6.00×10^6 oocysts/control chicken. The number of discharged oocysts during experimental period was higher in control group than that of experimental group. In the view of febric bursa sections on 7 days PI, the number of endogenous development of C baileyi was smaller in experimental group that in control group. This results indicate that the autoinfected sporozoite were damaged by ozone. The ozonized water supply to chickens is alleviation cryptosporidiosis.

      • 위암환자의 복강내에 투여한 Mitomycin C-Carbon Particle의 Mitomycin 용출에 관한 연구

        Locoregional recurrence is the most common type of recurrence in surgical operation of gastric adenocarcinoma, and peritoneal dissemination is one of the most difficult problems in advanced gastric adenocarcinoma treatment. Because the peritoneal cavity is the most common site of the first recurrence after gastric cancer resection, intraperitoneal chemotherpy seems a logical choice for cancer chemotherapy. The Mitomycin C(MMC) adsorbed by the activated charcoal particles(CH) is relatively released when the drug concentration surrounding the carbon particles becomes low in the peritoneum of the peritoneal cavity. For the intraperitoneal chemotherapy on the advanced gastric adenocarcnoma, mitomycin C adsorbed on activated carbon particles was administered in the peritoneal cavity just before abdominal wall closure. The closed drainage tubes were inserted in the peritoneal cavity and clamped for tuo hours after completion of operation. MMC concentrations were serially measured in peritoneal fluid, plasma and urine at 2hour, 48 hour, 72 hour and 168 hour following its administration in order to study the efficacy of the MMC-CH as a drug delivery system. There were minimal toxicities in born marrow, liver, and gastrointestinal system after intraperitoneal MMC-CH administration. The data of this study suggested that MMC-CH may have a somewhat more beneficial effect than surgery alone when administered in optimal dose and schedules, but the MMC concentration of the peritoneal fluid was not sufficient to eradicate remnant cancer cells, and effective duration of maintenance was only below 24 hours in the peritoneal fluid and plasma.

        The knowledge of the parasitic sounds, which are parasitic consonants and parasitic vowels, enables the English learners to pronounce English easily, but is also gives them a problem, for it makes unnecessary homephones. So, parasitic consonants or parasitic vowels in English pronunciation should be avoided to prevent the English learners from confusing speakers English. Many English learners in Korea pronounce 'hello' and 'Helen' as 〔hellou〕 and 〔hellen〕, but their standard pronunciations are 〔helou〕 and 〔helen〕. Needless consonant additions in English pronunciation should be also avoided, for such additions may simply confuse speakers' understanding of English. Addition rules are only optional. Standard English pronunciation is always the best key to understanding good English. Therefore, it is highly recommended that English teachers should teach the correct pronunciation from the beginning.

      • Ethanol 수용액중에서 N-(2,3-xylyl)anthranilic Acid의 반응

        Kinetics studies on the hydrolysis of N-(2,3-xylyl) anthranilic acid in 50% aqueous ethanol binary mixture have been carried out by means of ultraviolet spectrophotometry at 25℃. Analysising pH-rate profile, the rate constants consists of two parts; (1) pH independent part, (2) dependent on hydronium ion. Results of m-value of Grunwald-Winstein plot (m=0.3), n-value of Kivinen plot(n= 1.35), show that the solvolysis displacement of N-(2,3-xylyl)- anthranilic acid proceed via SN 2 type mechanism. And the dissociation constant of N-(2,3-xylyl) anthranilic acid in 50% aqueous ethanol solution twas measured by spectrophotometry method which value was ?? at 25℃. From the above results are hypothesized as following. That is, the hydrolysis proceed through SN 2 type mechanism below pH 3.50(pKa <[??]) and addition-elimination above PH 5.5(pKa>[??]) In the range of pH 3.5∼5.5, these two reactions occur competitively.

        This study has been carried out to investigate the formation mechanism of iron oxide making from the iron perchloric oxide which had been made by the electrolysis. This experiment was performed as follows. In the electrolysis, the iron plate was used as the anode and the stainless steel as the cathode. The iron perchloric oxide, which had made by the electrolysis, was controlled in PH and performed air treatment. After that, TG-DTA, heat reaction, and X-ray diffraction analyzing was performed. The results obtained from the experiment are as follows ; 1) The optimum condition in electrolysis is electric potential 1.5V, the distance of electrodes 1.5㎝, and composition of electrolyte 10 wt.% salt. 2) When the air treatment was performed, the formation was Goethite in PH 3-5, Magnetite in PH 6-10, and Lepidocrocite in PH 10-13 ranges. 3) Goethite was transformed into Hematite at above 200℃. 4) Magnetite and Lepidocrocite was transformed into Maghemite at 130-300℃ And into Hematite at 500-600℃.

        The relation between tide level and ground water level in reclaimed land is one of important imformations to make the successful agriculture in reclaimed land and water resources development. To clarify this relationship, an investigation was made at the newly reclaimed land located in Gyeong-nam province. Obtained results were as follows: 1. The fluctuation of tide level affected significantly (r=0.468*∼0.670**) the ground water level variation in reclaimed land. 2. The nearer to shore line, the greater the effect of tidal fluctuation on ground water level. It was found that no significant effect of tidal fluctuation on ground water level existed beyond the range of 2km from shore line. 3. The average ground water level during the rising interval of tidal curve was higher than the average ground water level during the falling interval of tidal curve. 4. The magnitude of ground water level variation curve was one half of the magnitude of tidal curve.

      • 노안수술후 각막형태검사 변화

        We prospectively analyzed the corneal topography of 26 eyes in 26 patients who had undergone scleral expansion for correcting presbyopia. We examined 26 eyes of 26 patients which were devided into 2 groups (mean age: 51 years, range 40-60 years) according to type of scleral expansion band, with computerized corneal topographic analysis system. Preoperatively and 5 times postoperatively (1day, 1week, 2weeks, 1month, 2months), quantitative descriptors of corneal topograpgy such as Sim K (simulated keratometry value), SRI(surface regularity index), and SAI(surface asymmetry index) were measured at each visit. The mean follow-up period was 43 days. Sim K of the operative eyes ranged from 0 to 2.5 (mean, 0.93) before operation, and mean 2.24 at postoperative 1 day in group Ⅰ. In group Ⅱ, Sim K was mean 2.20 at postoperative 1 day and decreased thereafter. SRI was from 0.54 to 1.39 and SAI was from 0.09 to 0.45 before operation. After operation, mean SAI was maximum at postoperative 2 week and mean SRI was maximum at postoperative 1 day and decreased thereafter. After two months, it became minimum. This study demonstrates that quantitative topographic change after scleral expansion for correcting presbyopia were great during first 1 week after surgery but this change diminished thereafter. Further long studies are in progress to evaluate the long term effects of this procedure.

      • 鷄胎 羊膜囊의 輕視的 成長 變化에 關한 硏究

        This paper dealt with the developmental changes of the amniotic surface area of the chick embryos from 5th to 9th days. Fetilized white leghorn 150 eggs were incubated and above 20 incubated eggs were freezed at random everyday in the refreezerater during 24 hr from the 5th incubated day to the 9th day serially and the chick amnions only containing chick embryos were photographied, and the plane surface area of the amnions were obtained by microcomputer image analyzer. These data were analyzed statistically and obtained results were as followings. 1. The amniotic surface area of chick embryos on each day of from the 5th to the 9th were 23.59±4.01 sq mm, 51.76±12.68 sq mm, 79.56±21.60 sq mm, 151.74±34.54 sq mm and 309.87±51.43 sq mm, respectively. 2. The rate of growth quantity of the amniotic surface area were increased by 2.19 on the day of the 6th to the 5th day, 3.37 on the day of 7, 6.43 on the day the 8th and 13.14 on the day 9th. 3. Coefficience variation on the day from the 5th to the 9th were 17%, 24.5%, 27.1%, 22.8% and 16.6%. 4. Except between 5th day and 6th day, the growth quantity between each day were increased significantly(P<0.001).
