벼, 콩, 상치, 당근, 호박의 가식부위에 대하여 몇가지 토양에 있어서 토양-작물체간 Mn-54, Co-60, Zn-65, Cs-137의 전이계수를 포트 재배에 의한 방사성 추적자 흡수실험을 통하여 조사하였다. 핵종간 전이계수는 거의 모든 경우 Zn-65>Mn-54>Cs-137>Co-60의 순이었다. 콩이 벼보다 전반적으로 한 자리 정도 높은 값을 보였고 채소류의 경우에는 대체로 상치에서 가장 높고 호박에서 가장 낮은 값을 보였다. 강산성 토양에서는 약산성 토양에서보다 전이계수가 훨씬 높았다. 본 조사결과에 입각하여 한국인의 섭식경로 피폭선량 평가에 이용하기 위한 각 핵종의 전이계수치가 작물별로 제안되었다. Soil-to plant transfer coefficients of Mn-54, Co-60, Zn-65 and Cs-137 were estimated for the edible parts of the rice, soybean, lettuce, carrot, and squash grown in different soils by radiotracer uptake experiments using pot cultures. The transfer coefficients of radionuclides were n the order of Zn-65>Mn-54>Cs-137>Co-60 in most of the cases studied. The coefficients for soybean were roughly and order of magnitude higher than those for rice. Among vegetables, lettuce mostly showed the highest value and squash, the lowest. In the strongly acidic soils. From the data obtained, crop-specific transfer coefficients of the four nuclides were proposed for the use in Korean food-radiation dose assessment.

Clinical studies were carried out 25 cases through administration of Chongmyungtang added Grape Juice(CMT+GJ) from December 1st 2002 to December 31th 2002. The results were summarized as follows; 1. There were significant decreases in physical symptoms of fatigue from 4.64±2.71 to 2.52±1.78 by administration of CMT+GJ. 2. There were significant decreases in mental symptoms of fatigue from 5.44±2.38 to 3.88±2.03 by administration of CMT+GJ. 3. There were significant decreases in neuro-sensory symptoms of fatigue from 3.84±2.03 to 2.88±2.07 by administration of CMT+GJ. 4. There were significant decreases in total subjective symptoms of fatigue from 13.92±5.42 to 9.28±4.21 by administration of CMT+GJ. 5. There were not significant changes in VAS of fatigue and attention ratio by administration of CMT+GJ. According to the results, we could suggest that CMT+GJ is able to be applied to the development of concentration.
가청수중음에 의한 넙치의 행동에 관한 기초적 연구 : 1.육상수조 양식장내의 환경소음

A fundamental experiment was carried out to confirm the behaviour of Bastard halibut Paralichthys olivaceus to audible underwater sound in a breeding ground around the coast of Cheju Island. To find characteristics of breeding water tank and experiment water tank. ambient noise, undcrwater noise and feeding sound of fish were measured and analyzied respectively. The results of measurement are as follows: 1. The maximum sound pressure level of ambient noise in breeding water tank was 81dB. average maximum sound level of underwater noise was 81dB at 120Hz. 2. The maximum sound pressure level of ambient noise in experiment water tank was 76dB and underwater noise was 84.2dB at 130Hz. 3. The maximum sound pressure level of feeding sound was 85dB at 120Hz.
Arabidopsis에서 BCTV R2 ORF의 기능 분석을 위한 돌연변이 연구

Mutation in the rightward virus sense ORF R2 did exhibit differences in viral DNA accumulation patterns in two Arabidopsis ecotypes, Col-O as a susceptible ecotype and Sei-O as a hypersusceptible ecotype when compared to plants infected with wild type BCTV-Logan. By the previous observation, R2 ORF might play a role on virus ssDNA accumulation. The initial infectivity assays demonstrated that the R2 mutant caused asymptomatic infections of Col-O but did symptomatic infections of Sei-O. Southern blot analysis with total DNA isolated from three major organs showed that infection origins, roots and inflorescent stems of both ecotypes infected with R2 mutant contained viral genome. Infection origins and roots contained ssDNA as well as dsDNA. However, both ecotype did ssDNA on inflorescence stems, This indicated that R2 is not essential for virus movement and virus DNA replication. Detailed studies of the accumulation of viral DNA in different organ systems of susceptible and hypersusceptible ecotypes suggested that ORF R2 was required for virus ssDNA accumulation as well as was essential for virus assembly. Therefore, R2 ORF may serve a potent DNA sequence candidate to create cloning sites for viral vector without decreases of efficiencies of virus replication and movement. This observation leads to development of viral vector system for introducing useful genes into plants.
마찰력과 열처리에 따른 아크용사 및 아크용접된 Fe-Cr-B 합금 피복층의 변화

Variations of arc thermal sprayed and arc welded Fe-Cr-B alloy coating with frictional loading and heat treatment were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, electron probe microanalysis and hardness test. The as-coated layers were shown to be crystalline state but peaks with the frictional loading largely disappeared in X-ray diffraction profiles. The splat is relatively wavy with the boundary in arc thermal spray coating. After heat treatment, the amount of porosity was found to be decreased and the intersplat distance was increased. As annealing temperature increased, interface layer for arc welding coating increased by the diffusion of Cr atoms. The wear type observed in arc thermal spray coatings is splat delamination. The hardness of the arc thermal spray coation layer was superior to that of the arc welding layer. Hardness of coated layer is reduced and microstructures become to be uniformed by the heat treatment.

구토 후 발생한 토혈을 주소로 내원한 환자에서 좌측 늑막 삼출 동반 시 식도 파열의 가능성을 고려하여 흉수 천자 및 지속적인 흉부 단순 촬영의 추적관찰이 필요하며 식도 파열이 배제된 후 환자의 생체 징후 및 토혈 양을 파악하여 내시경 검사 시기를 신중히 결정하는 것이 좋을 것으로 생각된다. 본 증례는 토혈을 주소로 내원하여 Mallory-Weiss 증후군 의심 하에 내시경을 통한 치료 시행 후 추적 관찰에 의해 진단된 Boerhaave 증후군을 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Boerhaave's syndrome is a spontaneous perforation of the esophagus most commonly resulting from a sudden increase in intraesophageal pressure combined with negative intrathoracic pressure caused by straining or vomiting. Surgery should generally be performed within 24 hours because mortality approached 30 to 50 percent in which surgery was delayed. Therefore, early diagnosis and prompt surgical repair are critical for survival. We have experienced a case of Boerhaave's syndrome in a patient presenting with hematemesis with left pleural effusion without any signs or symptoms of pneumomediastinum or pneumothorax.
