The Three Kingdoms period in ancient Korean history marks a contentious period in which the three kingdoms were contention with each other in order to unify the Korean peninsula. For the purpose of the unification. each kingdom strengthened its own national defenses and developed various skills of martial arts. which contributed to physical and mental training during the age of Three Kingdoms. During that period. self-defense arts such as Gak-Jeo (Si-Rum) and Su-Bark (Taekwon-Do) developed as personal sports. and various games which had features of recreation and sport competitions were also popular among ordinary people. In view of the history of physical training in Korea. the characteristics of martial arts. self-defense arts as personal sports, and various recreation and games during the Three Kingdoms period show that in ancient Korea there were physical activities similar to the recent sport competitions.

Variations of arc thermal sprayed and arc welded Fe-Cr-B alloy coating with frictional loading and heat treatment were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, electron probe microanalysis and hardness test. The as-coated layers were shown to be crystalline state but peaks with the frictional loading largely disappeared in X-ray diffraction profiles. The splat is relatively wavy with the boundary in arc thermal spray coating. After heat treatment, the amount of porosity was found to be decreased and the intersplat distance was increased. As annealing temperature increased, interface layer for arc welding coating increased by the diffusion of Cr atoms. The wear type observed in arc thermal spray coatings is splat delamination. The hardness of the arc thermal spray coation layer was superior to that of the arc welding layer. Hardness of coated layer is reduced and microstructures become to be uniformed by the heat treatment.

At present. the increase of the advanced aged are not abnormal. I theoretically studied welfare and sport in the aged lifestyle. As a result. I found the facts as follows. First, in case of the aged, they have rare chances to take part in sports activities, because of their monetary difficulties. So some organization or government service ought to provide an occasion for the aged so that they can enjoy the sports activities in their fragile life. Second, it is essential to let the people know the meaning, way and need of sport for all. Also. information regarding new programs and foreign situations through the mass media is indispensable. Third. regarding sport for the aged as a part of welfare. including the facilities, sporting goods, and financial matters, is necessary. Sports programs for the aged should be activated. Forth, systematism and diversity of the sport activity will give rise to a positive effect which the aged do sport as usual habit in everyday life.

This study was proceeded to knew how the reaction time was to speed according to give the stimulus of the light and the sound the direction of the reaction was foreward, left side, fight side and vertical side. The subject was 87 studednts (Track & field athletes; 47, Ball gamer; 40) who was highschool in pusan. The conclusions were derived as follows. 1. In case of Track & field athletes when the stimulus of light and sound was given. The direction of vertical side was significantly (P<0.01) faster than any other directions. 2. In case of Track & field athletes and Ball gamer the reaction time of the light stimulus was faster than the sound stimulus. 3. In case of Ball gamer when the stimulus of the light and sound was given, the direction of vertical side was significantly (P<0.01) faster than any other direction. 4. Compared light stimu;lus with sound stimulus, the reaction time of Both Athletes was similar.

This research was performed to investigate the effect of thermo-mechanical cycling (TMC) treatment on the shape memory effect (SME) of Fe-10Mn-9Cr-8Ni-5Si (wt.%) alloy. Various TMC parameters were systematically changed to study the influence of individual parameter on the SME, and to find the optimum processing condition for the best SME of the alloy. The amount of prestrain and the annealing time were the important parameters for controlling the SME, and the best shape recovery was observed at the condition of 4% prestrain and 873K/60min. annealing. It was ascertained by microstructural observation that the improvement of the SME was primarily due to the introduction of a number of defect structure such as stacking faults and dislocations. These defects increased yield stress for γ matrix, and probably acted as a favorable nucleation site for ε martensite formation.
