Most of elementary, middle and high school have had getting a contract with one of foodservice industries. The more foodservice industries expanded, the more foodborne diseases occurred. A major risk factor for the diseases is gloves that are used by cook. The purpose of this study was to study the standard operation for the glove hygiene of cook in cafeteria. Gloves of the cook in two cafeterias occupied one elementary and one middle school, were tested. The samples from the gloves were prepared by Glove-Juice method. Gloves were tested for microbiological contamination before and in the middle of cook. They were contaminated with Coliform bacterias as well as general bacterias. Standard operation manual of the disinfection method for glove hygiene was made and instructed to cook and performed as it is. The gloves used by the cook were tested again after hygiene instruction to cook and disinfection of the gloves by standard operation. Hygiene of the gloves before cook was much improved and some of the gloves had no contamination of Coliform bacteria. However, hygiene of gloves in the middle of cook was not much improved. In conclusion, hygiene instruction for cook and standard operation for disinfection of the gloves is necessary for the prevention of foodborne diseases in the cafeterias. It is recommended that gloves used in the middle of cook should be changed, periodically.

The potential of tank vehicles to occur accidents like a fire, explosion, release of hazardous liquids. caused by the environmental effects in temperature change, mixing reactivity of flammable and combustilble liquids, liquidity of loading substances, static electricity and traffic accidents, is regarded as significantly high. Therefore, mixed and switch loading of flammable liquids within tank vehicles is prohibited by Fire Service Law in domestic. But these prohibitions has become larger firms or national losses resulting from increasing of transport costs. This study is conducted to provide the national safety management system of tank vehicles for hazardous liquids through surveying and analyzing the actual conditions of safety management concerning mixing, switch loading and researching the documents and foreign system related the hazard of mixing, switch loading, environmental effects in temperature change.

A 69-year-old male was admitted to the neurosurgery department for traumatic intracra-nial hemorrhage in both frontal lobes. After 2 months, he complained of epigastric dis-comfort, nausea, vomiting, and loose stools. The gastric endoscopic examination found acute hemorrhagic gastritis and there were rhabditoid nematode larvae in the gastric fluid and biopsy sections. The filariform larvae of Strongyloides sp. were discovered from a fecal culture. The patient was treated with albendazole (200 mg, po bid, for 4 weeks). The epigastric discomfort disappeared and endoscopic findings improved after treatment.

This study examined the characteristics of continuous operation in a continuous flow planar electrode reactor, such as Faradaic efficiency, selectivity, and products ratio of carbon dioxide. A silver electrode was found to be useful for the selective formation of carbon monoxide by the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide in aqueous electrolytes. The products (CO, H2) were analyzed by gas chromatography, which was equipped with a thermal conductivity detector (TCD), and the Faradaic efficiency and selectivity were calculated from the data. The yield of monoxide carbon increased with decreasing temperature but the hydrogen yield decreased. The carbon monoxide yield was higher at the lower range of electrolyte concentrations. A graph of the yield as a function of the electrode potential showed a negative parabolic curve. The maximum value is shown at -1.8 V vs. SCE. The optimized carbon monoxide to hydrogen ratio was obtained under the following conditions using a silver electrode: a 0.1 M KHCO3 electrolyte,20 ℃ and a potential of -1.8 V vs. SCE.
