Methanol extracts from 84 Indian plant samples (50 species in 31 families) and 27 African plant samples (20 species in 12 families) in vitro were tested for their growth-inhibitory activities against Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Clostridium perfringens, and Escherichia coli, using a paper disc agar diffusion method under O₂-free conditions. The responses varied with bacterial strain, plant species and plant part. Extracts from Cymbopogon citratus whole plants, Ocimum basilicum whole plant, Madhuca indica flowers, and Aegle marmelos leaves among Indian plant samples moderately or strongly inhibited the growth of Cl, perfringens whereas moderate growth-inhibitory activity against E. coli was obtained from extract of Indian O. basilicum whole plants. These plant extracts did not affect the growth of the lactic acid forming bacteria tested. These results may be an indication of at least one of the pharmacological actions of these tropical plants.

Clouds are an important factor in aircraft flight. In particular, a significant impact on small aircraft flying at low altitude. Therefore, we have verified and characterized the low level cloud prediction data of the Unified Model(UM) - based Local Data Assimilation and Prediction System(LDAPS) operated by KMA in order to develop cloud forecasting service and contents important for safety of low-altitude aircraft flight. As a result of the low level cloud test for seven airports in Korea, a high correlation coefficient of 0.4 ~ 0.7 was obtained for 0-36 leading time. Also, we found that the prediction performance does not decrease as the lead time increases. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that model-based forecasting data for low-altitude aviation meteorology services can be produced.

개혁주의세계관에 따르면 예술은 하나님의 창조의 일부로서 선하며 그 때문에 변혁시킬 있다는 신념에 기초하며 또한 예술은 타락한 세계의 추함을 간직하고 있기 때문에 변혁을 필요로 한다는 신념에 기초하고 있다. 창조와 타락한 세계 안에 나타날 수 있는 변혁의 가능성은 필연적으로 그리스도의 오신 목적 안에서 이루어지는 예술적 성취를 통해서 완성된다. 이와 관련하여 이 글이 지향하는 목적은 신학적 미학의 개념인 창조를 전제로 고난의 현실 속에서 진행되어온 박수근 회화의 미학적 특징들을 그의 작품을 통해서 살펴보고, 샬롬의 예술을 향한 구속의 미학을 개혁주의세계관의 관점에서 구성해 보는 것이다. 특별히 이 글이 창조-타락-구속 이라는 미학적 현상에 주목하는 것은 박수근이 한국전쟁 이후의 인간의 고통과 사회의 참상을 긍휼의 시선으로 통찰하고 있으며, 예술을 통해 가장 아름다운 영광을 바라볼 수 있는 일은 그리스도 안에서 이루어진다는 확신이 박수근의 마음에 자리하고 있기 때문이다. According to reformed worldview, arts is good and positive because it is a part of Creation. Arts needs redemption and restoration because it represents ugliness of the fallen world. Aesthetic redemption of this fallen world necessarily comes true only by means of artistic accomplishment in Christ's incarnation. In this regard, the purpose of this paper is to examine aesthetic features of the Park Su-geun paintings, by studying his art works conducted in the reality of suffering and try to configure redemptive art towards the art of Shalom with focusing on reformed worldview. The reason why this article specially aims to study the aesthetic phenomenon on the key concept of creation, fall and redemption is because the Park Su-geun's artistic truth is closely interrelated to human suffering and social devastation after the Korean War and one can see the most beautiful glory of God in this world through our Lord Jesus Christ.
