Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

Objective & Methods : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1997. 99 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 45(45.5%) were PPNG. Conclusion : The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 45.5% in 1997.
BaFBr:Eu^2+ 형광체의 열발광 및 광자극발광 특성

BaFBr:Eu^2+ 형광체를 제조하고, 이 형광체의 열발광 특성과 광자극발광 특성을 조사하였다. 이 형광체의 열발광 g1ow 피이크 온도는 352K와 448K였으며, 주 피이크(352K)에 관여하는 트랩의 활성화에너지는 약 0.96eV이었다. 또한 이 형광체의 광자극발광 스펙트럼의 파장범위는 350~450nm 사이였으며, 광자극발광에 기여하는 트랩의 활성화에너지는 약 0.98eV이었다. 열발광트랩과 광자극발광 트랩의 활성화에너지는 실험오차 내에서 일치하였다. BaFBr:Eu^2+ phosphors were prepared, and the thermoluminescence(TL) and photostimulatedluminescence(PSL) of the prepared phosphors were measured. Two glow peaks around 352 and 448 K are observed for x-ray irradiated BaFBr:Eu^2+ phosphors, and the activation energy of the main glow peak(352 K) was about 0.96 eV. The spectral range of the PSL was 350 ~450 nm, and the activation energy of the trap giving rise to PSL was about 0.98 eV. The activation energy of the traps giving rise to TL is agreed to those giving rise to PSL within experimental error.

The fluoride work management of water supply conveyance has been recommending by the WHO to prevent of tooth decay. Fluoridation of public water supplies has been practiced since 1945. The present approximately 67 countries reported community water fluoridation benetiting many cities. At our country, Fluoridation began in 1981 in Chongiu and Jinhea. In 2002, approximately 40 cities have large populations consuming fluoridated water. But Chongiu stopped fluoridation water works. Few public health measures have been accorded greater clinical and laboratory research, epidemiological study, clinical trials, and public attention than has water fluoridation. In this study, chemical analysis of Sodium Silicofluoride and Fluoride Feed Equipment analyzed. And this study proposed to Fluoride concentration experimental (lab. and field exp.), economics analysis, prevention effect. This study can be decided on the concentration of fluoride injection in Water Fluoridation. Hereafter, this study will be useful in safety and economics of Water Fluoridation in the future.
수변계획을 위한 생태학적 수질오염 실태분석 : 안양천을 사례로 in case of Anyang Stream

A water quality analysis of on the stream as well as local stream has been depending on the most chemical methods. But, if the measuring methods of both chemical and ecological accomplished, the variation of water quality on the constant duration Can be measure during short time as well as the stream quality can predict to more continues and it can be reliability. The purpose of this study were to measure the Biological Index (Diversity Index, Dominance Index, Evenness Index, Richness Index) as indicators of environmental impact assessment method. The plants and the creature living in watershed of Anyang stream and the tens branches of it were investigated. These results were divided to the three steps based on the area of water by self-purification step as follow; the sevens stream and mainstream were stronger corrosion waters, one stream of beta-middle corrosion waters and twos stream of alpha-middle corrosion waters. Through those, the index of environmental impact assessment could be found, and it was could be presented Predominance, Diversity and creation of a species.

Though the pride of creating the regime by a region may offset the past material and economic alienation, the direction of national policy by new regime toward democratization directs to exterminate the regional emotion which is the absolute obstacle of national unity and reunify the South and North Koreas. Therefore this study investigates the cause of regional conflicts and regional emotion between west and east regions and examines the actual necessity of sports for the social unity before seeking the methods to exterminate the regional emotion with sports First, it grasps the type and cause of regional conflicts by examining and researching the existing research theses and literatures, carries out the questionnaire with the content, Can sports exterminate the regional emotion, with the university students in Pusan-Kyungnam region and Kwangju-Chonnam region and then obtains the following conclusions with the possibility to exterminate the regional emotion by sports. 1. The types of typical conflicts in Korea are labor-management conflict, income classes conflict, sexual conflict, generation conflict and regional conflict and the most serious social problem among these is the regional conflict. 2. The regional emotion means that the regional consciousness which is hope and desire for local community and a kind of condensed social energy shown in the relation to other regions are expressed to the people of other regions in exclusive and unfair way. 3. The use of sports can be the effective means to exterminate. In this case, the sports game of regular exchange type between amateurs not by pros can double its effects.

The objective of this study consists in inquiring in to herpetology, plasma protein, and chemical changes in lithicaacid, and the resultant findings are revealed, as follow: 1. Herpetology 1) Red Blood Cell (RBC) Red blood cells show the lowest value at rest, 4.51 count/mm3, in the athlete group, while the highest value right an after an exercise,4.76 count/mm3. The results of t-tests both an rest and right after an exercise do not present any significant difference. 2) White Blood Cell (WBC) White blood cells show the lowest value at rest, 5.67 count/mm3 in the non-athlete group, while the highest value right after an exercise, 12.9 count/mm3 in the athlete group. The results of t-tests do not represent any significant difference between the two groups at rest, but a significant difference right after an exercise by the t value of 9.3114. 3) Hemoglobin Hemoglobin presents 16.2 g/dl at rest in the non-athlete groups, 14.8 g/dl at rest in the athlete group, while it shows 17 g/dl right after an exercise in the non-athlete group, and 15.5 g/dl in the athlete group. However, it shows a 9.46% higher at rest and a 9.68% higher value right after an exercise in the non-athlete group, as compared with that of the athlete group. 4) Hematocrit Hematocrit exhibits 41.8% at rest in the non-athlete group, 45% at rest in the athlete group, whereas 45.7% right after an exercise in the non-athlete group, 43.8% in the athlete group. This reflects a 7.6% higher at rest and 4.34% higher value right after an exercise. In consequence, herpetology before and after Harvard step tests conducted on the national level Taekwondo champions and general students shows in general higher values right after an exercise than at rest in both the athlete and non-athlete groups. These results indicate that Taekwondo champions have better aerobic ability than the general students. But it is recommened that more studies should be conducted, expecially on comparison of Taekwondo champions' aerobic strength with that of the general students.

Antiferromagnetic spintronics is an emerging research field which aims to utilize antiferromagnets as core elements in spintronic devices. A central motivation towards this direction is that antiferromagnetic spin dynamics is expected to be much faster than its ferromagnetic counterpart. Recent theories indeed predicted faster dynamics of antiferromagnetic domain walls (DWs) than ferromagnetic DWs. However, experimental investigations of antiferromagnetic spin dynamics have remained unexplored, mainly because of the magnetic field immunity of antiferromagnets. Here we show that fast field-driven antiferromagnetic spin dynamics is realized in ferrimagnets at the angular momentum compensation point T<SUB>A</SUB>. Using rare earth–3d-transition metal ferrimagnetic compounds where net magnetic moment is nonzero at T<SUB>A</SUB>, the field-driven DW mobility is remarkably enhanced up to 20 km s<SUP>−1</SUP> T<SUP>−1</SUP>. The collective coordinate approach generalized for ferrimagnets and atomistic spin model simulations show that this remarkable enhancement is a consequence of antiferromagnetic spin dynamics at T<SUB>A</SUB>. Our finding allows us to investigate the physics of antiferromagnetic spin dynamics and highlights the importance of tuning of the angular momentum compensation point of ferrimagnets, which could be a key towards ferrimagnetic spintronics.
