        정상교합자의 치열궁 형태

        This study was designed to investigate dental arch shapes buccally and lingually at Bracket Level of Koreans. This involved studying 63 inviduals (37 males, 26 females) with normal occlusion ranging in age from 17 to 24 yesrs old. The landmarks were digitized and measurements and statistical analysis were performed by NEC 9801 V-M computer. The Results were as Follows: Bicanine width, Bipremolar width and Bimolar width were larger in males than in females. Buccal and lingual arch form and coordination form were obtained by NEC 9801 V-M computer. The parabolic equations which represents buccal and lingual arch form were obtained.

        A Study on DNA Sequences and Mutation of Integrase Region of Korean-type Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) pol Gene

        Bovine leukemia virus (BLV) is a causative agent for lymphoma disease in cattle including cows worldwide. BLV shares similar virion structure and characteristics with other retroviruses. The pol gene of the BLV genome produced reverse transcriptase (RT) and integrase (IN) for important roles for BLV genome integration into host cell chromosomes that is known to be coded in the 3' side of the BLV pol gene (one third portion). In this study, we have sequenced 978 bp in the 3'side of the BLV pol gene from BLV 10C3 in order to determine the BLV IN region of it. And we compared it to the nucleotide sequences of an Australian BLV isolate. As a result, nucleotide sequences of the IN region of the Korean-type BLV pol gene were mutated at a rate of 3.7%. We can confirm that the typical mutations are such as Arg (AGG) → Lys(AAG), Thr (ACG) → Met (ATG), Ile (ATT) → Val (GTT), Asn (ACC) → His (CAC), Phe (TTT) → Leu (TTG) and Asn (ACC) → Asp (GAC). From the analysis of the sequencing data, we were able to determine the zinc-finger-like "HHCC" motif in the amino terminus of BLV IN, that was H-X_(3)-H-X_(25)-C-X_(2)-C. It was also found the DD35E motif in the IN catalytic domain as D-X_(56)-D-X_(35)-E. It fits very well to the consensus sequences of retroviral IN as well as HHCC motif.

        600합금의 미세조직 변화 및 SCC거동에 미치는 Ce 첨가의 영향

        High purity model alloys with major composition Ni-15Cr-9Fe-0.03C (600CEO) and Ni-15Cr-9Fe-0.03C-0.04Ce (600CE4) were produced. Using these model alloys the effect of alloying element Ce on the SCC behavior of Alloy 600 was evaluated in a caustic solution. To obtain carbides precipitated on grain boundaries, the thermal treatment was performed on both the solution annealed model alloys. Microstructural examinations using SEM and TEM EDX showed that the same structural carbides, Cr_(7)Cc₃, were precipitated on both the alloys and no significant difference in the amount of Cr depletion along grain boundaries was observed between the two model alloys. However, it was shown that the coverage of grain boundary carbides was higher in the Ce-bearing alloy (600CE4). The SCC susceptibility of the alloys was investigated in 40%NaOH solution at 315℃. Being evaluated in terms of the maximum crack depth, the SCC susceptibility of the alloy turned out to be reduced by the addition of Ce. The increased resistance to the SCC in the alloy 600CE4 was considered to be attributable to the increased coverage of grain boundary carbides. (Received September 30, 2004)

        해마 theta리듬과 pyramidal neuron의 세포내 특성과의 상관관계

        Eledctrophysiological phenomena of pyramidal cells in the CAI area of the dorsal hippocampus were recorded from and filled with neurobiotin in anesthetized rats. The electropharmacological properties of membrane as well as the cellular-synaptic generation of rhythmic slow activity (theta)were examined. The intracellular response characteristics of these pyramidal cells were distinctly different from responses of inteneurons. Pyramidal cells had a high resting membrane potential, a low input resistance, and a large amplitude action potential. A afterhyperpolarization was followed a single action potential. Most of pyramidal cells did not display a spontaneous firing. Pyramidal cells displayed weak inward rectification and anodal break excitation. The slope of the frequency-current relation was 53.4 Hz/nA for the first interspike interval and 15.9 Hz/nA for the last intervals, suggesting the presence of spike frequency adaptation. Neurobiotin-filled neurons showed pyramidal morphology. Cells were generally bipolar dendritc processes ramifying in stratum lacunosum-moleculare, radiatum, and oriens. Commissural stimulation discharged pyramidal cells, followed by excitatory and inhibitory postsynaptic potentials (EPSPs and IPSPs). The frequency of theat-related membrane potential oscillation was voltage-independent in pyramidal neurons. At strong depolarization levels (less than 30 mV) pyramidal cells emitted sodium spike oscillation, phase-locked to theta. The observations provide direct evidence that theta-related rhythmic hyperpolarization of principal cells is brought by the rhythmically discharging interneurons. Furthermore, the findings in which interneurons were also paced by rhythmic inhibitory postsynaptic potentials during theta suggest that they were periodically hyperpolarized by their GABAergic septal afferents.

        음향방출을 이용한 저어널 베어링의 조기파손감지(Ⅱ) : Part Ⅱ : Intervention of Foreign Particles in Lubrication 윤활유 이물질 혼입의 영향 및 감시

        일반적으로 회전기기의 저어널 베어링 부분은 윤활유 공급의 부족이나 윤활층에 이물질이 혼입되면 시스템의 고장이나 가동중단 등의 원인이 되기도 한다. 따라서 베어링 손상에 기인하는 사고와 관련된 안전운전 문제와 유지비용의 절감을 위해 여러가지 파괴 및 비파괴시험법들이 사용되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 저어널 베어링에서 가장 발생하기 쉬운 윤활층에의 이물질이 혼입에 의해 야기되는 베어링 파손의 조기검출을 위해 음향방출 기술을 적용하였으며, 전보의 연구에 이어 좀더 정량적이고 체계적인 실험을 수행하였다. 실험실용으로 직접 제작한 모의베어링 시스템을 이용하여 여러 형태의 인위적인 이물질 흔입 상태를 만들어 실험하였으며 베어링 손상 및 결함 형태의 해석을 위해 AE rms level, 파형분석, AE 변수 등의 여러 파라메터를 사용하여 분석 고찰하였다. 그 결과 AE rms level의 변화가 이물질 흔입의 영향에 민감함을 보여주었으며 AE변수등 다른 정보들로부터 손상 원일별로 신호형태를 확인할 수 있었다. Journal bearings in the rotating machineries are vulnerable to the contamination or the insufficient supply of lubricating oil, which is likely to be the cause of unexpected shutdown or malfunction of these systems. Various destructive and nondestructive testing methods had been used for the reduction of maintenance cost and the operational safety problems due to the accidents related to bearing damages. In this experimental approach, acoustic emission monitoring in employed to the detection of incipient failure caused by intervention of foreign particles most probable in the journal bearing systems. Experimental schedules for the intervention of foreign particles was composed to be more quantitative and systematic than last study in consideration of minimum oil film thickness and particle size . The experiment was conducted under such designed conditions as inserting alumina particles to the lubrication layer in the simulated journal bearing system. Several parameters such as AE rms level, waveform, AE energy distribution and other AE event parameter are used for analysis and characterization of damage source. The results showed that the history of damage was well correlated with the changes of AE rms level and the types of damage source signal can be verified using other informations such an waveform, distribution of AE parameter etc.

      • 주택욕실의 사례분석에 따른 유니버설디자인 적용방안

        Universal Design is a recent issue related to preserving human dignity, equality and human settlements. So the purpose of this study was to describe circumstances and problems of residential bathrooms, based on the results through the case studies by which every family members and to suggest the design considerations of residential bathroom planning for adapting universal design. Case studies were performed from Oct. 25 to Nov. 5, 1999 by 5 families with various physical conditions(the persons who have physical disabilities, visual impairments, the older people, pregnant women and persons without any disabilities). To investigate the current situations of the bathrooms, researchers visited five households and interviewed family members. Also the bathrooms were analyzed, evaluated and scored on the basis of the checklist including 56 items focusing on the concept of the universal design. The results of the case studies showed that the average score of all households was low. The specific design considerations for universal design residential bathrooms were suggested as conclusions of this study.

        예비노인층의 실버타운에 대한 선호경향 : 서울과 수도권의 50대를 중심으로 Focused on 50s living in Seoul Metropolitan Area

        The purpose of this study was to identify the preferences about silver town of the pre-elderly group. The results of the study will provide some useful information for the development of silver town and for further studies. The sample of the study was 566 pre-elderly persons who were age 50s living in Seoul metropolitan area. The samples were stratified according to region, gender, and housing structure type. Main results of the study showed that silver town was the most preferable elderly housing alternative for pre-elderly group. Respondents also wanted to live in a silver town when they are not only healthy but also unhealthy and living alone. Therefore, silver town should be carefully planned to provide continuing care for the rest of residents' life regardless of changing their life situation. Education level of spouse, average monthly income, total asset. and life satisfaction level were the major variables which showed significant differences in preferences about silver town. Other results and recommendations for further research were included.

      • 淸溪山 落葉松林의 林床草本 群叢에 對한 種相關에 관하여

        The study of the herbaceous species association in the larch forest of Mt. Chungkyeu was carried out from April to October, 1980. 1. The herbaceous ground association was consist of 43 species, Oplismenus undulatifolius, Festuca ovina, Oalamagrostis arundinaceae var. brachytricha and Carex pediformis var. rhizina were dominant species. 2. The major herbaceous species, of which important value was above 10, were Oplismenus undulatifolius(28.2%), Festuca ovina(26.7%), Miscanthus purpurascens(26.5%), Calamagrostis arundinaceae var. brachytricha(21.2%), Carex nanella(17.5%), Carex lanceolata(15.4%), Carex pediformis var. rhizina(14.1%), Carex siderosticta(12.7%), Potentilla fragarioides(11.7%) and Artemisia keiskeana(10.5%). 3. Classifying the herbaceous ground association by partial ordination, it was divided into two kinds of association ; Carex-Oplismenus association and Calamagrostis-Oplismenus association. 4. The results of the species association analysis was the same as the ordination. The coefficients of species exhibited the positive value in the same association, on the contrary, it was negative value in the different association.
