        Four new compounds from the bulbs of Lycoris aurea with neuroprotective effects against CoCl2 and H2O2-induced SH-SY5Y cell injuries

        Three new alkaloids, 2a-hydroxy-6-O-n-butyloduline,O-n-butyllycorenine, (-)-N-(chloromethyl)lycoramine(1–3), and a new phenolic compound, ((7S)-7-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxypropyl)-20-methylbenzene-30,60-diol (14), along with ten known alkaloids (4–13), wereisolated from the bulbs of Lycoris aurea collected fromHuaihua County of Hunan Province, China. Their structureswere elucidated by spectroscopic methods includingHRESIMS, UV, IR, and NMR. All the isolated compoundswere tested for their neuroprotective effects against CoCl2and H2O2-induced SH-SY5Y cell death. Compounds 1–7and 10 exhibited significant neuroprotective effects againstCoCl2-induced SH-SY5Y cell injury, while compounds1–5, 7, 10 and 12 showed obvious neuroprotective effectsagainst H2O2-induced SH-SY5Y cell death.

        초등실과 전기기구 다루기 단원의 CD-ROM 개발과 수업에의 적용 효과

        The purposes of this study was to develop CD-ROM on manipulating the electric appliances unit for the fourth grade students in elementary practical arts curriculum, and to verify the effect of it for helping students acquire the basic knowledge of manipulating the electric appliances and teachers improve teaching method. The developed CD-ROM title had the following features. 1.The learning content of this CD-ROM title was consisted around manipulating the electric appliances unit for the fourth grade students in elementary practical arts curriculum. 2.This CD-ROM title was developed using various graphics, photos, movable image and animation to motivate elementary school students and to raise the effect of learning. 3.The learning content of this CD-ROM title was consisted around the fourth grad practical arts text in elementary school to utilize this CD-ROM title in class effectively. 4.This CD-ROM title was developed with authoring tool, Tool Book 5.0 of Asymetrix. 5.The basic learning topic of this CD-ROM title was composed of five specific topics for consideration of learner's interest. The results of application of this CD-ROM title were as follows: 1.There was a meaningful difference(p<0.05) between experimental group and control group on the effect of achievement. 2.There was a meaningful difference in girl students, but not a meaningful difference in boy students on the effect of achievement.

        유치원과 초등학교의 연계교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 상대교육과정에 대한 인지

        본 연구의 목적은 유치원과 초등학교의 연계교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 상대교육과정에 대한 인지도와 그 두 요소간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울 시내에 소재 한 유치원에 재직 중인 교사 179명과 초등학교에 재직 중인 교사 201명이었으며, 연구를 위하여 유치원 교사용 설문지와 초등학교 교사용 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구결과 연계교육에 대한 교사의 인식은 유치원 교사가 초등학교 교사보다 연계교육의 정의, 필요성, 개선 및 증진방안에 대한 인식에서 높게 나타났으며, 연계교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 상대교육과정에 대한 인지도는 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this research was to investigate teachers´ perceptions of the educational continuity between kindergarten and elementary school and their understanding of the curriculum of the counterpart.The subjects were 179 kindergarten teachers and 201 elementary school teachers. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, there were differences between the perceptions of kindergarten teachers and that of elementary school teachers.Second, there weren´t any significant differences between the kindergarten teachers´ understanding of the elementary school curriculum and the elementary school teachers´ understanding kindergarten curriculum, Third, there were relationship between teachers´ perception of the educational continuity and their understandings of the counterpart´s curriculum.This means that the higher the degrees of teachers´ perception of the educational continuity, the better their understandings of the curriculum of the counterpart.

      • 산지하천의 강우특성에 의한 부유물질 유출에 관한 연구

        In this research, we have selected the region of Jawoon river that is the area of high land vegetable growing in the upper Soyang Reservoir and we have observed actual floating materials that generate negative nutrition and turbidity of the Reservoir water and the changes of water quality by raining of each month for one year of 2005 in order to monitor the relationship of pollution sources by the outflow of rain water. In addition, we also have conducted statistical inspection methods such as correlation analysis and regression analysis on strength of raining force and rain continuance time among the elements affecting the outflow of floating materials.

        비선형 웹 이송 시스템의 장력제어

        This paper presents the study of the tension control in a web transfer system. In this study the sliding mode controller is applied to a time-varying nonlinear mathematical model. The model was derived to consider the effects of changing the roll rad;us in tension variation during winding and unwinding. The uncertainty in modeling may be due to unmodelled dynamics, on variations in system model. Designed sliding mode controller made the system error always staying in the suggested surface from the beginning. Through this, system is maintained to be robust against a disturbance and uncertainty. To verify the designed controller has a good performance, various inputs such as desired velocity, step input, and trapezoidal input are applied. When the sliding mode controller was used, the system(the tension control) performance was improved comparing to the PID controller. The robustness of the controller with respect to an estimation error was verified through simulations.

      • 사마귀류 추출물의 생물학적 활성 비교

        In order to investigate the availability of insect resources for agrobiotechnological or medical purposes, we examined antioxidant (DPPH and FRAP assay) and cell viability by oxidant stress and NO inhibition assay by treatment of the extracts of Statilia maculata Thunberg, Tenodera angustipennis Saussure and Tenodera aridifolia Stoll. We found that Tenodera angustipennis Saussure and Tenodera aridifolia Stoll extract (DW, etanol, methanol) had high levels of anti-oxidant activity, whereas Tenodera aridifolia Stoll extract showed increased cell viability by hydrogen peroxide and inhibition of NO production. These findings suggest that Statilia maculata Thunberg, Tenodera angustipennis Saussure and Tenodera aridifolia Stoll, extract have potentials to be developed for agrobiotechnology or medicinal use, indicating that mechanistic study including inhibition against molecular inflammation will show a possibility for the development of useful insect resources.

      • 다량의 하부위장관출혈이 병발된 Vibrio vulnificus 패혈증 1예

        최근 저자들은 Vibrio vulnificus 감염에 의해 패혈증 및 이차성 피부 병변을 보인 42세의 남자 환자의 치료중 하부 위장관 출혈이 병발된 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. We experienced a case of Vibrop vulnificus septicemia which showed an unusual manifestation such as hematochezia. The patient was a 42-year-old man with chronic liver disease. The blood and wound culture revealed the organism. During intensive care, he suffered from massive hematochezi for several days. Colonoscopy and abdominal CT showed findings suspicious of ischemic colitis. To our knowledge, this is the first unusual case of V.vulnificus infection which showed massive lower gastrointestinal bleeding.

      • 텅그스텐鋼에 形成된 炭化物의 Ostwald ripening에 대한 定量組織學的 分析

        This study has been carried out to determine the structural characteristics and growth kinetics in thungsten steels. the results obtained from the the experiment are summerized as follows; 1. Microstructure of carbide particles spheroidization treated after quenching has been finely dispersed along grain boundary when tungsten content is increased. 2. The value obtained by mean redius of carbide particle and spherodizing treatment analysis has been calculated to be 0.27 and the growth of these carbide particles occurs by diffusion-controlled mechanism. 3. The value of activation energy obtained by particle number measurements and spherodizing time analysis has been calculated to be 69.6Kcal/mole and the coarsening phenomina of these carbide particles in tungstem steels occurs by the interdiffusion mechanism of iron, tungsten and carbon atoms. 4. The tungsten carbides in which W : C atomic ratio is 0.12 change to M₃C+MC but tungsten steels in which atomic ratio is 0.25 and 0.36 change to the stable M₃C+MC type caride after the process of the metastable M?C?+M?C type carbide. 5. Hardness measurements have revelaed that hardness during the spheroidization of tungsten steels varies as the Hall-Petch type relation, impact value has increased with th increasing of W content in range of 125 hours spheroidizing treatment time and 3% tungsten content.

        인터넷 쇼핑몰 의류상품 구매자의 불평행동 특성에 관한 연구

        This study is to investigate complaining behavior of consumers who purchase fashion products on the inter-net, as well as to find how the complaining behaviors are related to the consumers' characteristics. The subjects of this study are limited to the consumers who have experienced dissatisfaction when purchasing fashion products through the internet. The questionnaires were administered to male and female respondents using the internet shopping mall. The results can be summarized as follows: The factor analysis shows that consumer complaining behaviors are fitted well into four factors(direct complaining behavior, private complaining behavior, third-party complaining behavior, and no response). In the difference analysis by consumer's complaining behavior styles and gender, private complaining and third-party complaining behavior were significant statistically. In the difference analysis between consumer's complaining behavior styles and internet self-efficacy. Internet self-efficacy was significantly different according to consumer's complaining behavior styles, especially for direct complaining, third-party complaining and no response. Private complaining behavior, third-party complaining behavior and no response were negatively related to consumer retention, while direct complaining behavior was not.

        우리나라 논 관개용 지하수 수질 특성

        This study was carried out to evaluate the status of the groundwater quality for paddy fields irrigation in Korea. Water samples were collected at 130 sites throughout the country. Samples were collected at three seasons-April, July and October-in 2000. According to our survey, the groundwater was found to be suitable for irrigation purpose. Average EC was shown 0.286 dS/m. Nitrate-nitrogen and Cl^(-) concentration was 5.6 ㎎/L, 32.95 ㎎/L which satisfied the Korean Standards for Irrigation Water. Nitrate-nitrogen concentration in each province was shown as following orders: Jeju (11.17 ㎎/L) > Chungnam (8.16 ㎎/L) > Gyeongbuk (6.64 ㎎/L) > Gyounggi (5.91 ㎎/L) > Chungnam (4.95 ㎎/L) > Gyeongnam (3.91 mgk) > Jeonbuk (3.50 ㎎/L) > Jeonnam (3.27 ㎎/L) > Gangwon (2.91 ㎎/L). The concentration by sampling seasons were October (6.62 ㎎/L) > July (5.88 mg&) > April (4.78㎎/L). As the soil of Jeju Province is usually derived from volcanic ash soils mainly used for upland drops, it may influence the nitrate-nitrogen concentration of groundwater. The amount of rainfall also influence the water quality. But the COD_(Cr), were shown April (3.17㎎/L) > July (2.91 ㎎/L) > October (2.40 ㎎/L), it is highly related in the basal dose of organic matter fertilizers. This study demonstrated that groundwater quality was suitable for irrigation, but continuous monitoring is recommended for agricultural policy and developing OECD agricultural environment indicators.
