        한국어 말하기 시험의 구인과 과업에 관한 연구 - 교실 평가를 중심으로

        교실 말하기 평가는, 특정한 기간 동안 말하기 능력을 숙달하기 위하여 어떻게 교수-학습했는가와 어떠한 말하기 능력을 성취하기 위해 노력했는가가 구체적으로 담기기 때문에 중요하며, 이후의 한국어 교수-학습에 강한 영향력을 끼치기 때문에 논의할 가치가 크다. 이 논문은 그간 외국어교육에서 이루어진 말하기 평가 연구와 대규모 말하기 시험 체계를 검토한 후 한국어 말하기 시험의 ‘구인 및 과업’을 중심으로 논쟁점을 추출하고 기술하였다. 또한, 팬데믹 시기 동안 한국어 교실의 말하기 평가는 어떻게 수행되고 있는지와 한국어 교수자들은 말하기 교수-학습과 평가에 있어서 어떠한 문제 상황에 처해있는지도 조사하여 해결책을 제안하였다. 구인과 과업을 중심으로 지금까지 수행되어온 한국어 말하기 평가를 검토한 결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다: 첫째, 시험 개발자들은 말하기 시험의 과업 난이도를 다소 혼란스러워하고 있다. 둘째, 학문 목적 학습자 대상의 시험 과업은 난이도도 조절되어야 하지만 ‘실제성’의 부면에서도 비판의 여지가 있다. 셋째, 말하기 능력을 평가하기 위한 구인 간의 위계화가 성글고 연관성이 부족하다. 이 연구의 일차적인 의의는 지금까지 다소 미진한 한국어 교실 평가 연구에 일조한 것에서 찾을 수 있다. 또한, 한국어 교수자가 겪고 있는 팬데믹 시대의 교육 환경적 어려움과 말하기 평가 수행의 난점들을 기술하고 해결 방향을 제안함으로써 한국어 말하기 평가의 질적 향상에 기여한 의의가 있다. This thesis extracted and described controversial points focusing on the 'constructions and tasks' of the Korean speaking test after reviewing the speaking assessment research and large-scale speaking test system that have been performed in foreign language education. In addition, during the pandemic, we investigated how the speaking assessment of the Korean language classroom is being performed and what kind of problems Korean teachers face in speaking teaching-learning and assessment, and suggested solutions. The results of reviewing the Korean speaking assessment performed so far focusing on constructs and tasks are summarized as follows: First, the task difficulty of the speaking test is confusing by the test developer. Second, the difficulty of the test task for academic learners should be adjusted, there is also room for criticism in terms of ‘authenticity’. Third, the hierarchy among constructs for assessing speaking ability is sparse and there is a lack of correlation. The primary significance of this study can be found in its contribution to the assessment of the Korean language classroom, which has so far been rather inexperienced. In addition, it is meaningful that it contributed to improving the quality of Korean speaking assessment by describing the educational environmental difficulties experienced by Korean language teachers in the pandemic era and difficulties in performing speaking assessment and suggesting solutions.

        Design of Low Cost Real-Time Audience Adaptive Digital Signage using Haar Cascade Facial Measures

        Digital signage is becoming part of daily life across a wide range of visual advertisements segments market used in stations, hotels, retail stores, hotels, etc. The current digital signage system used in market is generally works on limited user interactivity with static contents. In this paper, a new approach is proposed using computer vision based dynamic audience adaptive cost-effective digital signage system. The proposed design uses the Camera attached Raspberry Pi Open source platform to employ the real-time audience interaction using computer vision algorithms to extract facial features of the audience. The real-time facial features are extracted using Haar Cascade algorithm which are used for audience gender specific rendering of dynamic digital signage content. The audience facial characterization using Haar Cascade is evaluated on the FERET database with 95% accuracy for gender classification. The proposed system, developed and evaluated with male and female audiences in real-life environments camera embedded raspberry pi with good level of accuracy.

        Successful Removal of a Difficult Common Bile Duct Stone by Percutaneous Transcholecystic Cholangioscopy

        Common bile duct (CBD) stones are prevalent in 11% to 21% of patients with gallstones and can cause various clinicalmanifestations, from biliary colic to biliary sepsis. The treatment of choice is endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography,but approximately 5% to 10% of CBD stones are difficult to remove using these conventional endoscopic methods. Althoughpercutaneous transhepatic cholangioscopy and lithotripsy can be used as an alternative, it can be technically demanding and riskyif the intrahepatic duct is not dilated. We report a case of a large CBD stone that was successfully removed using percutaneoustranscholecystic cholangioscopy.

        Environment Adaptive Emergency Evacuation Route GUIDE through Digital Signage Systems

        Nowadays, the most of commercial buildings are build-out with complex architecture and decorated with more complicated interiors of buildings so establishing intelligible escape routes becomes an important case of fire or other emergency in a limited time. The commercial buildings are already equipped with multiple exit signs and these exit signs may create confusion and leads the people into different directions under emergency. This can jeopardize the emergency situation into a chaotic state, especially in a complex layout buildings. There are many research focused on implementing different approached to improve the exit sign system with better visual navigating effects, such as the use of laser beams, the combination of audio and video cues, etc. However the digital signage system based emergency exit sign management is one of the best solution to guide people under emergency situations to escape. This research paper, propose an intelligent evacuation route GUIDE that uses the combination centralized Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and digital signage for people safety and avoids dangers from emergency conditions. This proposed system applies WSN to detect the environment condition in the building and uses an evacuation algorithm to estimate the safe route to escape using the sensor information and then activates the signage system to display the safe evacuation route instruction GUIDE according to the location the signage system is installed. This paper presented the prototype of the proposed signage system and execution time to find the route with future research directions. The proposed system provides a natural intelligent evacuation route interface for self or remote operation in facility management to efficiently GUIDE people to the safe exit under emergency conditions.

        The Wide Variety of Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis in Children: A Clinical Perspective

        Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is an acute demyelinating inflammatory disorder of the central nervous system. It is characterized by encephalopathy, multifocal neurological deficits, and typical magnetic resonance imaging findings of widespread demyelinating lesions, predominantly involving the white matter of the brain and spinal cord. ADEM mainly affects children and is commonly associated with preceding viral and bacterial infections, and, rarely, vaccinations. Despite substantial advances in the understanding of the association of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody with recurrent forms of ADEM or other demyelinating conditions, specific etiologic agents or biological markers have not been identified. Therefore, the diagnosis of ADEM is still based on clinical and radiological findings and the exclusion of other conditions mimicking ADEM. However, a prompt diagnosis and adequate treatment are crucial because diagnostic delays or inappropriate treatment may lead to unwanted neurological sequelae in some children. There is no standardized treatment protocol for ADEM, but the use of corticosteroids, intravenous immunoglobulin, and plasmapheresis has been associated with good clinical outcomes. Adequate treatment has reportedly resulted in favorable outcomes, with full or almost full recovery in most children with ADEM, although some children may develop neurological sequelae, such as cognitive impairment and motor deficits. Further studies are needed to identify biological clues and optimal treatment protocols to minimize the incidence of neurological sequelae.

        Validation of the Korean Version of the Psychosis Screener to Identify Patients With Psychosis

        Objective This study aimed to validate the Korean version of a short screening tool for psychosis as the first stage in finding undiagnosed psychosis in the community. Methods The sample contained 126 consecutive psychiatric outpatients in National Medical Center, Seoul, Korea, between July 20 and July 22, 2020. The Psychosis Screener (PS) comprises 7 items covering psychotic symptoms. The presence of each psychotic symptom was determined by a trained mental health professional and coded “yes” or “no.” Two psychiatrists reviewed the medical records independently and extracted the ICD-10-based diagnoses. Any differences between the two clinicians were resolved by consensus, and the agreed diagnosis was used as a gold standard in the study. Results Among 126 psychiatric outpatients who were enrolled in a consecutive manner during the study period, the proportion of psychosis was 15.1%. The PS showed 78.9% sensitivity and 72.0% specificity when the optimal cut-off was 2, indicating that a score of 2 or more on the screener identified a likely case of psychosis. The area under the curve for the PS was 0.78 (95% CI: 0.67-0.87). Conclusion The Korean version of the PS has an ability to discriminate between those who meet the diagnostic criteria for psychosis and those who do not in a high-prevalence group.
