Squamous cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis is very rare malignant neoplasm and most cases are associated with long standing nephrolithiasis. A case of squamous cell careinoma of the renal pelvis with lung metastasis is reported.

본 연구는 부랑인복지시설 종사자들의 인권의식의 정도를 파악할 수 있는 인권민감성을 조사함으로써 그들의 인권의식을 살펴보고 부랑인복지시설 생활인의 인권의식 향상을 위한 기초 자료로 활용함을 목적으로 하였다. 전국 38개 부랑인복지시설 종사자 390명의 인권민감성을 비교ㆍ조사하였다. 그 결과, 종사자들의 인권민감성은 총점 150점에 평균 64.55점으로 매우 낮은 점수를 나타냈다. 종사자들의 학력별 인권민감성은 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있었으며, 직책별 인권민감성에서 실질적인 운영자들의 인권에 대한 의식이 매우 낮게 나타났다. 부랑인복지시설 내에서의 인권교육 유무별에서는 인권교육을 받은 경우가 그렇지 못한 경우에 비해 유의하게 인권민감성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 부랑인복지시설 내의 인권교육을 정규 커리큘럼으로 일괄적으로 시행할 수 있는 프로그램이 정례화 되어야 하고 종사자들의 효율적이고 실질적인 인권침해상황과 관련된 사례나열식 인권교육 매뉴얼의 개발이 필요함을 제언하였다. This study did by purpose to be utilized to basic data for elevation of human rights consciousness of homeless facilities employees through examining their human rights consciousness by investigating human rights sensitivity that can grasp degree of human rights consciousness of homeless facilities employees. The human rights sensitivity of 390 homeless facilities employees who are working at 38 facilities around the whole country is compared and investigated. As a result, human rights sensitivity of employees displayed very low score by average 64.55 points in total score 150 points. Human rights sensitivity academic career of employees was shown meaningful difference, and human rights consciousness of substantial administrator is appeared very low in human rights sensitivity by duties. According to the existence and nonexistence of human rights education at the homeless facilities, the employs who had got human rights education shows higher human rights sensitivity than the employs who had not go human rights education. Therefore, regular program that can enforce human rights education collectively as a formal curriculum in homeless facilities should be established and it’s proposed to develop practical and efficient human rights education manual case by case related with the violation of human rights.

폴리메틸벤젠과 할로겐 사이의 전하이동 착물생성에 관한 열역학적 연구 (제4보)

펜타메틸벤젠 및 헥사메틸벤젠과 요오드 및 일염화요오드와의 각계를 사염화 탄소용액에서 자외선 분광광도법에 의하여 연구한 결과 1:1 분자 착물이 형성됨을 알았다. 이들 착물 생성에 의한 흡수최대는 온도가 상승함에 따라 blue shift 되므로 이에 따른 각 온도에서의 평형상수를 구하였다. 이 값으로 부터 이들 착물 생성에 대한 열역학적 파라미터를 산출한 결과 각 온도에서 폴리메틸벤젠과 요오드 및 일염화요오드 사이에 생성된 착물의 상대적 안정도는 ICl이 $I_2$보다 크다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이 사실은 폴리메틸벤젠에 대한 그들의 상대적 산성도를 나타내며 할로겐 원자의 전기 음성도의 차이에 의하여 설명할 수 있다. 그리고 이 계열의 연구결과를 종합하면 벤젠에 치환된 메틸기의 수가 증가함에 따라 ${\lambda}_{max}$는 red shift 하였고 이들 착물의 상대적 안정도가 다음 순서로 증가함을 알 수 있었다.Benzene < Toluene < Xylene < Durene < Mesitylene < Pentamethylbenzene < Hexamethylbenzene. 이에 따른 결과에 대하여 고찰하였다. Ultraviolet spectrophotometric investigation have been carried out on the systems of pentamethylbenzene and hexamethylbenzene with iodine and iodine monochloride in carbon tetrachloride. The results reveal the formation of the one to one molecular complexes. The equilibrium constants were obtained in consideration of that absorption maxima due to the formation of the charge transfer complexes shift to blue with the increasing temperature. Thermodynamic parameters for the formation of the charge transfer complexes were calculated from these values. These results indicate that the complex formed between polymethylbenzene and iodine monochloride is more stable than that in the case of iodine. This may be a measure of their relative acidities toward polymethylbenzene, which is explained in terms of the relative electronegativities of halogen atoms. These results combined with previous studies of this series indicated that ${\lambda}_{max}$ shift to red with the increasing number of methyl groups on benezene ring and that the relative stabilities of these complexes increase in the order, Benzene < Toluene < Xylene < Durene < Mesitylene < Pentamethylbenzene < Hexamethylbenzene. The reason for the order found is thus additionally discussed.

Purpose: Pulmonary hypertension can occur from diverse etiologies. It was reported that pulmonary hypertension also complicated dialysis patents, but the exact mechanisms were not determined. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of pulmonary hypertension in maintenance hemodialysis patients. In addition, we studied the relationship between pulmonary hypertension and arteriovenous access. Methods: Fifty-nine chronic hemodialysis patients underwent clinical evaluation. Pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) was estimated by Doppler echocardiography. Pulmonary hypertension was defined as PAP ≥35 mmHg. Results: Mean PAP value of subjects was 39.3±13.2 mmHg. Pulmonary hypertension was found in 31 (53%) of patients receiving hemodialysis (49.0±10.6 mmHg; range 37 to 84 mmHg). Clinical and biochemical parameters did not differ significantly between patients with pulmonary hypertension and without pulmonary hypertension. In 19 patients, PAP was elevated from 27.8±10.2 mmHg to 41.8±11.9 mmHg (p<0.001) after onset of hemodialysis via arteriovenous fistula. And pulmonary hypertension developed in 12 of 15 patients with normal PAP after onset of hemodialysis treatment. Conclusion: The prevalence of pulmonary hypertension was high, and hemodialysis via arteriovenous access may be involved in the development of pulmonary hypertension.
Development and validation of a nursing response model to pandemic disasters

Aim(s): To explore the nursing responses and experiences among nurses practicing at different types of institutions against the COVID-19 pandemic, to develop and validate a nursing response model for use in future pandemic disasters. Method(s): We used a mixed method, primarily qualitative and then quantitative study. Participants were 46 nurses for 14 focus group interviews and 563 nurses for an online survey. Participants were nurses working at public health offices and hospitals, as managers, and as school nurses. In the qualitative phase, the interview protocol was developed to conduct focus-group interviews by the international team workshops. Fortysix Korean nurses practicing in the different settings were invited to learn about their experiences during COVID-19. The themes found from this focus-group study were used to develop a tool. Using the tool, an online survey was conducted among nurses. Exploratory and confirmatory Factor analysis were performed using the AMOS to extract the new factor structure of the dataset and to establish the structural validity of the developed tool. Result(s): The main themes from the focus-group interviews through comparative analysis were situational awareness, emotional responses, strategies, nursing values, and remains from the COVID-19 pandemic. 47 original items under the five domains of nursing response on a pandemic disaster were delineated and 42 final items’ content validity was established by experts and practitioners. Exploratory factor analysis indicated that three distinct factors were underlying nurse responses to the pandemic response items and that these factors were internally consistent. In the confirmatory factor analysis, three-factor model showed an acceptable fit. Conclusion(s): The developed nursing response model to pandemic situations was delineated based on nurses’ experiences and it is not surprising that nurses learned how to work and deal with an unknown crisis or in an unfamiliar situation. The created nursing response model to a pandemic can be used to prepare for a future pandemic or crisis.
