      • 분편 인플루엔자백신(split influenza vaccine)의 임상효과 및 면역원성에 관한 연구

        목적 : 아단위 인플루엔자 백신 접종 후 백신의 인플루엔자 예방효과, 인플루엔자 방어 항체형성, 인플루엔자 백신의 안전성을 조사하고자 하였다. 방법 : 총 571명을 대상으로 인플루엔자 백신 접종을 하였고, 이들 접종자에서 인플루엔자 양질환의 이환을 조사하여 인플루엔자 백신의 인플루엔자예방효과를 알아보았고, 백신의 접종 전 및 접종 4주 후 혈청에서 혈구응집억제물(Hemagglutination Inhibition : HAI) 항체 검사를 실시하여 백신의 방어항체생성을 조사하였고, 백신의 안전성을 알아보기 위해 백신접종 후 1주일 이내의 부작용을 조사하였다. 결과 :백신 접종군과 백신 비접종군에서 인플루엔자 양 질환의 이환을 조사한 결과 접종군 28.35%, 비접종군 35.88%으로 나왔으며, p 값이 0.001로 통계적으로 접종군에서 유의하게 낮았고, 인플루엔자 양 질환의 예방 효과는 20.97%를 보였다. 백신의 방어항체 형성의 평가를 위해 유럽의 인플루엔자 백신 허가 기준을 조사하였는데 B/Guangdong/5/94균주의 백신접종 후 항체가 40이상의 비율을 제외한 다른 기준은 모두 만족 시켰다. 부작용은 전체 조사자 521명중 149명(29%)으로 주로 접종 부위의 국소 부작용을 호소했고, 전신 부작용은 2% 내외였으며 특별히 심각한 부작용은 발견되지 않았다. 결론 : 분편 인플루엔자 백신은 인플루엔자양질환의 예방과 방어항체생성에 효과 있으며 안전한 것으로 사료된다. Background : The safety and effectiveness of influenza vaccine are well known in developed country. The influenza vaccination has been recommended as one of the tentative immunization schedule for indicated persons since 1997 in Korea. But there are still no available data about them, even though nearly 5 million doses of influenza vaccine were used in 1997-1998 season. So it is immediately needed to investigate the safety. efficacy and immunogenicity of influenza vaccine among Korean. Methods : We studied the clinical efficacy of influenza vaccine by monitoring Occurrence of influenza-like illness in influenza risk group(vaccination ; 300, non-vaccination; 215) from December in 1997 to March in 1998. We used the split quadrivalent influenza vaccine containing 15 microgram of hemagglutinin of A/Beijing/262/95(HlNl), A/Wuhan/359/95(H3N2), B/Mie/1/93 and B/Guangdong/5/94. Hemagglutination inhibition(HA1) antibody titers were determined before immunization and 1 months after vaccination And we evaluated adverse effect of influenza vaccination at 7 days after vaccination. Results : Influenza vaccination was associated with si@icant reductions in influenza-like spptoms(vaccination group; 28.35%, non-vaccination group, 35.88%, p=0.001). The preventive effect of influenza-like i3lne.s among influenza risk goup was 20.97%. And immunogenicity of influenza A and B exceeded all of the European licensure criteria for immunogenicity except postvaccination proportion of titers 240 of B/Guangdong/5/94 strain. And the adverse effects were mainly local injection site problem and no serious adverse effect was noted. Conclusion : Split influenza vaccine is safe, inmunogenic and eff'tive in influenza risk group in Korea.

      • PVDF 초음파 변환기를 이용한 고분자 물질의 초음파 spectroscopy에 관한 연구

        We fabricated ultrasonic spectroscopy system that can be study on properties of matter for a medium using PVDF ultrasonic transducer. A thing of this sort has the advantage of frequency properties compared with existing ultrasonic spectroscopy system. It is shown that our new ultrasonic spectroscopy system with PVDF ultrasonic transducer can successfully classify PE, PC, PMMA, PYFE polymers with the attenuation of ultrasonic spectra, and PTFE exhibits the most of absorption coefficient. We could be confirmed existence and size of bubbles in the inside of PMMA. These results shows that the spectroscopy system with PVDF transducer takes advantage of NDT instruments.

        북한이탈주민의 외상 후 스트레스 장애와 자연살해세포 활성

        Objectives : The objective of this study was to evaluate an association between posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and altered immunity m North Korean defectors who were more likely to develop medical conditions and other stress-related psychiatric disorders. Methods : Twenty-four North Korean defectors with PTSD and twenty-two controls without PTSD were recruited from the resettlement and training center for North Korean defectors in South Korea. Peripheral T lymphocyte subsets, natural killer(NK) cells, NK cell activity and plasma hormones (ACTH and cortisol) were obtained from all subjects. We also applied the Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HAM-A) for all subjects. Results : We found NK cell activity was relatively lower than number of NK cells in North Korean defectors with PTSD. Subjects with PTSD had higher HAM-D and HAM-A scores than controls. However, there were no statistical differences in ACTH. cortisol, CD3, CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8 ratio, CD19 and CD56 between the two groups. Conclusion : These findings suggest North Korean defectors with PTSD show higher levels of depression, anxiety and impaired or weak immune function in NK cells.

      • 림프구에 대한 clozapine의 생체내 유전독성

        최근 난치성 정신분열증 환자에서 가장 효과적인 약으로 알려진 clozapine은 골수에 작용하여 심각한 부작용인 무과립 구증을 일으킬 수 있다. 무과립구증의 원인 및 기전에 대한 연구는 매우 많으나 현재까지 확실한 결론이 나지 않은 상태이다. 저자들은 clozapine의 이러한 골수 독성에 근거하여 clozapine이 인체내에서 염색체에 어떤 변화를 주는지 아닌지를 알아보기 위해 clozapine 단독치료를 시행한 환자에게서 치료전과 치료중에 얻어진 말초혈액 림프구를 배양하여 염색체에 어떤 변화가 생기는지를 조사하였으나, clozapine에 의한 염색체의 자발적인 변이는 관찰되지 않았다. Objective : Many drugs and environmental chemicals can induce aneuploidy or chromosome instability in vivo or in vitro. Modification of the fidelity of cellular division may occur via a variety of mechanisms and chemical interactions. The clozapine is new antipsychotic drug with superior effect than classic antipsychotics. But, it may produce agranulocytosis and seizure in some patients. Agranulocytosis is a serious side effect of this drug but the cause and mechanism of this side effect is not clearly explained. Some study suggested that oxidative stress can induce chromosome aberration and the other study suggested that clozapine produce free radical and it can induce oxidative stress on some kind of cells. Therefore we decided to investigate whether clozapine and its metabolites can induce genotoxic effect in vivo. Method : The patients were chronic schizophrenic patients without a treatment at least one year. Diagnosis was made by DSM-IV criteria and agreed by both of two psychiatrists. Blood sampling was done before the treatment and during the treatment with considerable time interval. We used peripheral blood lymphocyte culture method and we counted the numerical aberrations, sister chromatid exchanges. Results : Chromosome aberration was not detected in all samples. Conclusion : Clozapine did not induce spontaneous chromosome aberration to human lymphocytes in vivo.

      • 클로로벤젠의 점성 흐름에 대한 열역학적 고찰

        클로로벤젠의 점성도를 여러 온도와 압력에서 결정하여 클로로벤젠의 점성 흐름에 대한 비평형 열역학 성질을 고찰하였다. 클로로벤젠의 점성 흐름에 관한 엇갈림 변형력으로부터 엇갈림 자유 에너지, 엇갈림 엔트로피, 엇갈림 엔탈피 등을 정의하고 압력 변화에 따르는 열역학적 성질의 변화를 고찰하였다. 실험적으로 결정된 엇갈림 자유 에너지, 엇갈림 엔트로피, 엇갈림 엔탈피 등을 온도 상승에 의한 클로로벤젠 분자들의 열운동 효과와 압력 증가에 의한 밀도 증가 및 분자 구조의 입체 효과에 의하여 설명하였다. Viscosities of chlorobenzene were determined at several temperatures and at various pressures to discuss the non-equilibrium thermodynamic properties for its viscous flow. With the shear stress of the viscous flow of chlorobenzene, the shear free energy, the shear entropy, and the shear enthalpy were defined to investigate the variations of the shear thermodynamic properties with pressure. The effects of temperature and pressure on the shear thermodynamic properties obtained experimentally can be explained by means of the molecular thermal agitation due to temperature increasing and the steric effect of the closed molecules of chlorobenzene due to pressure elevation.

      • 植物의 有效性分 抽出에 관한 溶媒效果

        여러가지 용매를 사용하여 특정 식물로 부터 유효성분을 추출하는 실험을 하였다. 용매의 종류에 따른 추출물의 산출량을 비교하여 용매의 추출 효과를 고찰하였고, 추출물의 TLC 분석에 의하여 식물로 부터의 유효성분 추출에 대한 용매의 질적 효과도 고갈하였다. Several solvent were used to examine the effects of solvent for the extraction of the useful components from plant materials. The percent yields of the extracts from solvent to solvent were compare to discuss the extraction abilities of the solvents. The qualities of the solvents for extracting the useful components from plant materials were also discussed by means of the quantitative TLC analyses.

      • PVDF 다층박막을 이용한 초음파 변환기의 응답특성

        고분자 압전 필름인 PVDF를 이용하여 단일박막과 이층박막의 초음파 변환기에 대해 impulse 응답특성과 AC 펄스에 대한 삽입손실의 주파수 특성을 이론식으로 계산하여 확인하여 보았다. 그 결과 impulse 응답특성은 aluminum을 backing 물질로 하였을 경우 air backing에 비하여 short pulse를 나타내었으며, 단일박막의 변환기가 이층박막에 비하여 short pulse일음 알 수 있었다. 또한 삽입손실을 이용하여 주파수 특성을 조사한 결과 이층 박막의 변환기가 단일박막에 비하여 광대역의 특성을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. We have studied response properties of ultrasonic transducer with multi-layer piezoelectric polymer films [poly (vinylidene fluoride)]. When impulse wave was applied to the ultrasonic transducer, the dependence of the response properties was investigated theoretical calculations. The transducer of one-layer shows short impulse response better than double-layers. When the insertion loss was calculated theoretically to the PVDF multi-layer transducers. The frequency character of double-layer show wideband better than one-layers.

      • 大邱市 新川과 琴湖江의 細菌學的 汚染 硏究

        To study the bacteriological pollution of Sin Chun stream and the Gum Ho river in Daegu, the survey was carried out 6 times in 12 places between June and September, 1974. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The average minimum number of the general bacterial count each place was 2×10⁴/㎖ and the average maximum number was 3,227×10⁴/㎖. The average number in all the plases was 577×10⁴/㎖. 2. The minimum M.P.N. of coliforms each place was 20/100㎖ and the maximum number was 1600/100㎖. The average M.P.N. was 497×10²/100㎖. 3. The M.P.N. of total coliforms corresponded to that of fecal coliform. It reflects the serious fecal contamination of Sin Chun stream and the Gum Ho river. 4. In every place surveyed except two places not midstream of Gum Ho river, the M.P.N. of coliforms was high. It reflects the sewage of the city has a serious influence on the pollution of Sin Chun stream and the Gum Ho river. 5. Many kind of were found in the rivers inhiviting the growthof bacteria. But no identification to these fungi ws conducted.

      • 물무당(Gyrinus Japonicus Sharp)의 Territory 形成過程에 있어서의 行動에 對한 調査硏究

        1969年 8月부터 9月까지 大邱市 周邊에서 採集한 물무당의 行動에 對하여 調査硏究하였다. 1. 물무당의 占據區域에 ,다른 個體를 投入해서 接近시컸을 때 占據者에 있어서 攻擊, 接觸, 追跡, 交尾, 逃避와 같은 5가지型의 行動이 보였다. 2. 以上 5가지型의 行動 中에서 攻擊하는 回數가 가장 많았으며, 다음이 接觸, 追跡, 交尾, 逃避의 順으로 나타났다. 3. 攻擊은 이들 行動 中 가장 顯著하였으며 週期的 波動을 나타내고 territory 核心部分에서 周邊으로 位置를 옮기면서 이루어졌다. 4. 各型의 行動結果의 大部分은 占據者가 元來의 水域을 確保하므로 끝났다. From August to September in 1969, an investigation was made on toe behavior of Gyrinus Japonicas Sparps collected near the surrounding areas of Taegu city. 1. When Gyrinius Japonicus Sharps were approached by any other individual objects which had been put in the area where the former occupied, the occupants showed five types of behavior-attack, contact, trace, copulation and oscape. 2. Of the five type behaviors, the frequency of attack was the most, then followed by contact, trace, copulation and escape. 3. The behavior of attack was the most remarkable, occurring periodically, moving from the center of the territory to the circumference. 4. Each type of behavior came to an end when the occupants secured their original water area.

      • 肝카필라리아症(Hepatic Capillariasis)에 있어서 卵周圍 沈降反應에 관한 實驗的 硏究

        The present study was undertaken to investigate the circumoval precipitation (COP) reaction of Capillaria hepatica. The source of C. hepatica eggs was the deposit of nonembryonated eggs encapsulated in the liver of the house rat. The eggs were embryonated in the incubator at 27℃ to 30℃ for four to five weeks. Rat was infected orally with 2,000 embryonated eggs. Blood collections were made by the cardiac puncture after infection of C. hepatica for 10 to 63 days. Fresh eggs obtained from the liver of the house rat washed three times with distilled water and lyophilized with the freeze dryer. lyophilization was carried out on a temperature of -50℃ and a vacuum of 10^(-4)㎜Hg. The occurrence of circumoval precipitation (COP) reaction was proved by the embryonated eggs of C. hepatica which were incubated in the sera from rats given embryonated eggs of C. hepatica by orally. The result findings were as follows: 1. The precipitations were formed around the mucoid plugs of the embryonated eggs after 24 hours at 37℃ by the sera from infected rats. 2. The average positive rates of COP reaction in different diluting solutions were 46.5% in PBS, 35.5% in Millonig's buffer solution, 20.2% in normal saline and 8.8% in distilled water. 3. Precipitations in COP reaction was noticed even in highly diluted sera up to 1 : 128. The high positive rate of COP reaction in serum with the PBS diluting solution was shown to be over 76% at the dilution of 1 : 16 to 1:32. 4. There were no differences in the positive rates of the COP reaction between the fresh and lyophilized eggs using PBS as a diluting solution. 5. There were no differences in the positive rates of COP reaction using lyophilized embryonated eggs in each serum collected during the 10th to 63rd days after infection of C. hepatica. 6. With the embryonated eggs of C. hepalica precipitations were not produced in the sera from rats infected with Clonorchis sinensis, Metagonimus yokogawai, Paragonimus iloktsuenensis and by the sera from human infected with Ascaris lumbricoides.
