This paper showed the summarization of the preservative method of wild vegetables in the house and the precessing method of Japanese pickles. The preservative methods of wild vegetables were explained devided into long, short term, fresh state, heat treatment and drying. Salt, soybean fermented sauce, soybean fermented paste, lees of refined rice wine and residue in the preparation of bean curd were used as the materials of Japanese pickles.

For the past several years, performance assessment has been widely used by mathematics teachers. The superiority of performance assessment items compare to multiple choice items has been discussed by many researchers, however these discussions tend to be lack of empirical data. Thus, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of free response items in comparison with multiple choice items. Using the information function in Item Response Theory(IRT), item information of free response items and multiple choice items from the Third Intemational Mathematics and Science Study-Repeat(TIMSS-R) were obtained and compared. Test informations of the whole mathematics area as well as each content area of mathematics were computed. On average, free response items yielded more information than multiple choice items, especially in measurement and data interpretation. This study also revealed that free response items estimated students' mathematics ability more accurately than multiple choice items with smaller number of items.

냉장화 상자에 의한 딸기의 유통중 품질변화

딸기의 유통기간 연장과 품질보존을 목적으로 냉장화 유통방법과 유통중의 품질변화를 조사하였다. 이 경우 전처리로서 예냉처리는 유통기간의 연장과 품질보존에 상당한 효과를 나타내었다. 또 냉매는 드라이 아이스가 양호하였으며 그 양은 딸기 ㎏당 150g정도가 적당하였다. 5-6월경에 생산된 딸기를 냉장화 유통시킬 경우 일반유통법에 비하여 약 2일정도 유통기간이 연장되었다. To investigate the effect of refrigerate case on the quality of strawberry during circulation, the temperature changes on the amounts of dry ice cube were examined. And also, the effect of precooling on the changes in temperature and quality of the fruits were studied. Strawberry precooling-treated at 4℃ for 24hours was prolonged the shelf-life, and quality was progressed. 150g of dry-ice per ㎏ of the strawberry was kept quality. It was prolonged more 2 days than present circulation system.

This Quasi-experimental study attempted to identify the effect of psychological preparation on the behavior anxiety, pain perception of children related to IV injection and blood sampling. The subject for this study were obtained by taking a convenient sample of the 3 - 12 years children hospitalized in C University Hospital from August 4, 1994 to September 3, 1994. Subject were devided an control group , experimental group each of thirty subjects. Two instruments were used to collect the data. : Face Pain Rating Scales (FPRS) was used to measure the degree of children's pain perception about painful procedure. Procedure Behavior Check List (PBCL) was used to measure the degree of response of children's behavior anxiety. The findings were as follows. 1. The relationship between behavior anxiety, pain perception and the general characteristics of subjects is showed no statistical significant difference but in the experimental group age is showed statistical significant difference (p<.01). 2. The relationship between behavior anxiety, pain perception and the characteristics of painful events is showed no statistical significant difference. 3. In order to identify the effect of psychological preparation on the behavior anxiety of children, compared of total Mean score two groups, experimental group M : 16.767, control group M : 18.967. The difference between in the two group is showed no statistical significant difference 4. In order to identify the effect of psychological preparation on the pain perception of children, compared of total Mean score two groups, experimental group M : 2.900, control group M : 2.067. The difference between in the two group is showed no statistical significant difference. 5. The correlation between behavior anxiety and pain perception is showed statistical significant difference. Experimental group r : 0.7920 (p<.001), Control group r : 0.4288 (p<.05)

백금(Ⅳ)착체의 약리학적 연구

The platinum complex, PtCl₄(2-CEen), was previously synthesized and shown to have anti-tumor activity. In the present study, toxicologic profile of PtCl₄(2-CEen) and its acute anti-inflammatory activity on carrageenin edema was observed with oral administration. The ef-4feet of this agent on acetic acid-induced writhing in mice were also examined. In male and female mice given a single intragastrical dose of PtCl₄(2-CEen), we determined that LD_(50) values were over lOOOmg/kg B.W. In the method of carrageenin edema and writhing test, the PtCl₄(2-CEen), orally administered in a single dose, tended to inhibit the development of hind paw edema in rats, and the number of writhing induced by acetic acid in mice. These facts suggest that PtCl₄(2-CEen) may have weak anti-inflammatory effect.

딸기의 냉장화 유통

To investigate the cold circulation system of strawberry by shipping case, changes in the temperataure, concentration of carbon dioxide on the different amounts of dry ice in the cold circulation case were examined. And also, the effect of precooling on the quality maintaining of the fruits were studied. The self-life of strawberries were prolonged by precooling at 4℃ for 24hours, and the quality was maintained better than non-precooling. Quality of the fruit which packed in the cold shipping case with 150g of dry ice per 1㎏ of the berries was able to keep during circulation. The cold circulation system was prolonged more 2 days than common circulation system in present.

여름에 비정형 폐렴으로 발현한 쯔쯔가무시병 1예

Scrub typhus usually occurs in October and November in Korea. Its typical clinical manifestations are fever, rash, eschar, and lymphadenopathies. Pneumonitis may occur, however it occurs as a complication at the late phase of scrub typhus, when it is inappropriately treated. We encountered a case of pneumonitis that was an initial manifestation of scrub typhus which was confirmed by rickettsial culture, Positive seroconversion, and polymerase chain reaction. The case was a 16-year-old high school adolescent who presented with fever and headache that lasted for 1 day in July, 2007, He denied of any outdoor activities. A chest radiograph showed patchy infiltrates in the left lower lung, which improved with the administration of cefotaxime and azithromycin for empirical treatment of community-acquired pneumonia. Blood taken on the second febrile day showed a positive culture for Orientia tsutsugamushi and was also positive for O. tsutsugamushi DNA polymerase chain reaction. Immunofluorescent antibody (IFA) test for O. tsutsugamushi showed that the initial antibody was negative, but convalescent serum tested positive with an antibody titer of 1:80. IFA for Coxiella burnetii showed false positive results; the initial IgM and IgG liters were 1:128 and 1:256, respectively, and the IgM and IgG titers in convalescent serum were 1:128 and 1:128, respectively.

환자, 간호사, 의사가 지각하는 교육요구도와 교육제공정도에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data for the planning of education of patients by exploring and comparing patients', nurses' and doctors' perception of the educational needs and degree of providing education. 66 hospitalized patients undergoing chemotherapy and 44 nurses, 42 doctors assigned for the direct care were sampled in 1 university hospital in Taejon from August 30, 1993 to September 30, 1993. For the comparing patients', nurses' and doctors' perecption of the educational needs and degree of providing education, the researcher used Kims' Educational need scale which is composed of 20 item Likert type 5 point scale. Data were analyzed by means of percentile score, SPSS, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation. The result were as follows 1. Comparision of total Mean score patients', nurses' and doctors' perception of the educational need ordering nurses(M=4.0465), patients (M=3.9803), doctors (M=3.8309). The difference between the three group's total Mean score is showed no statistical significant difference. 2. Comparision of total Mean score patients' educational need, patients' percetion of nurses' and doctors' degree of providing education, patients' educational need is scored 3.9803, patients' perception of nurse is scored 2.3431, patients' perception of doctor is scored 2.5022. The difference between the patients' educational need and medical teams' degree of providing education is showed statistical significant difference(P<.001). 3. Comparision of total mean score nurses' educational need is scored 4.0465, nurses' perception of nurses' degree of providing education is scored 2.9920, patients' perception of nurses' degree of providing education is scored 2.3431. The difference of between the nurses' educational need and nurses' perception of nurses' degree of providing education is showed statistical significant difference(P<.001) 4. Comparision of total mean score doctors' educational need is scored 3.8309, doctors' perception of doctors' degree of providing eduation is scored 3.1726, patients' perception of doctors' degree of providing education is scored 2.5022. The difference of between the doctors' educational need and doctors' perception of doctors' degree of providing education is showed statistical difference(P<.001).
