자유탐구활동의 소집단 구성방법이 과학 학습 동기와 과학 정의적 영역 성취도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 자유탐구활동에서 소집단을 구성하는 방법이 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 과학 학습동기와 과학 정의적 영역 성취도에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구대상으로 K도 소재 Y초등학교에서 6학년 4개 학급을 선정하였다. 자유탐구를 실시하기에 앞서 4개 학급학생을 대상으로 과학 학습정서 검사를 실시하였고, 그 검사 결과에 따라 과학에 대한 흥미도를 기준으로 각 학급의 학생들을 동질 집단과 이질 집단으로 구성하였다. 실험 집단에는 과학에 대한 흥미도가 비슷한 학생들로 이루어진 동질 집단을 구성하여 소집단 자유탐구 활동을 실시하였고, 비교집단에는 과학에 대한 흥미도가 각기 다른 학생들로 구성된 이질 집단 간의 자유탐구활동을 실시하였다. 실험처치 후 과학 학습 동기와 과학 정의적 영역 성취도에 관해 사전·사후 검사 후 처치 결과를 비교·분석하였다 연구 결과를 통해 소집단에 속한 학생들이 탐구의 전 과정을 주도적으로 이끌어나가는 자유탐구에서 과학에 대한 흥미도가 비슷한 소집단 구성은 학생들의 과학 학습 동기 및 과학 정의적 영역 성취도 향상에 더 효과적이었음을 알수 있다. 자유탐구를 지도할 때 과학 학습 동기 및 과학 정의적 영역 성취도 향상에 적합한 소집단 구성 방법으로 학생들의 과학에 대한 흥미도에 따라 동질적으로 집단을 구성할 것을 제안한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the method of constructing small group in the free inquiry activities on the science learning motivation and the attitude toward science in the 6th grade elementary school students. Four classes of 6th grade were selected from Y elementary school in Kyoungkido. Prior to conducting a free inquiry, students of four classes were subjected to a science learning emotional test. Based on the test results, students in each class were classified into homogeneous groups and heterogeneous groups based on their interest in science learning. In the experiment group, a homogeneous group composed of students with similar science interests were carried out small group free inquiry activities. In the comparison group, there was a free inquiry activity among heterogeneous groups composed of students with different scientific interests. After the experimental treatment, the results of the pre-test and post-test were compared and analyzed statistically. As results, first, small-group free inquiry activities composed of students with similar interests in science learning showed a statistically significant effect on the motivation to learn science in the sixth grade of elementary school. Second, small-group free inquiry activities composed of students with similar interests in science learning showed a statistically significant effect on the achievement of science affective domain in the sixth grade of elementary school. This study concluded that small-group free science inquiry activities composed of students with similar interests in science learning were more effective to increase the motivation to learn science and the achievement of science affective domain. Therefore, it is necessary to construct homogeneous small groups in terms of science interests for the free science inquiry activity.

Glass is frequently encountered as types of materials that are submitted to forensic science laboratoriesas a result of trace evidence transfers. The repeatability and the reproducibility of trace element analysis werepresented. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed on laser ablation inductively coupled plasmaspectrometric analyses of the fragments to identify the source. Pairwise comparisons were completed for allnumbers of the samples) total comparison to associate/discriminate samples using Tukey’s HSD method. Theaim of this study was to determine the utility of LA-ICP-MS for multi-element analysis of forensic samples.The 12 glass fragments from two manufacturers were collected and analyzed to identify the source. However, all samples weredistinguished using both 49Ti and 137Ba (p<0.05). In conclusion, multi-elemental analysis with LA-ICP-MSis a potential tecnique for the discrimination of forensic samples.
