In this study, we developed a simulator which can conduct shipment simulation considering the interaction between a transport ship and a marine structure. To consider the interaction between the ship and the marine structure, a collision test is required. Therefore, the program module has been developed for detecting collision and calculating reaction force. In addition, modeling wizard has been developed to easily model various types of floating cranes. Using the developed wizards, users can easily model a floating crane simply by inputting the type of hull, degree of freedom and size of the crane, and installation location of the crane. By using the developed simulator, it is possible to reproduce various situations in a field work using a floating crane, and to confirm the stability and feasibility of planed shipment procedure in advance.

양성담낭용종성 병변의 치료 계획

Purpose: Since the laparoscopic cholecystectomy became an usual procedure, operative indications of the gallbladder polyps have had the tendency to enlarge. There are no precise management plan about the gallbladder polyps which is not included in the accepted operative indications. Therefore a management plan may be required for the patients who has gallbladder polyps which is not accepted operative indications. Methods: We retrospectively analysed 106 patients with gallbladder polyps who were diagnosed preoperatively by ultrasound and CT from January 1991 to January 2005. Our operation indications are polyp above 10 ㎜, symptomatic polyp, sessile polyp, coincidence of stone, focal thickening of gallbladder wall, diffuse wall thickening and detection during other operations. The gallbladder polyps which were suspected to the gallbladder cancer strongly on radiologic studies and polyps above 20 ㎜ size were excluded in this studies. Results: Among the 106 patients, 87 patients underwent operation, and polypoid lesions disappeared during the follow-up period in 3 patients, and 16 patients are on regular follow up. Fifty-six cases received operation with accepted operative indications, and the thirty-one cases underwent operation by the patient’s demand. Two groups showed significant difference in true polyp on pathological diagnosis (P<0.001). There was 16.07% true polyp in opertive indication based 56 patients and no true polyp in patient’s demanded 31 cases. The pathologic diagnoses were cholesterol polyp in 27 patients (87.15%), no polyp in 2 patients, adenomatous hyperplasia in 2 patients. The correlation of the polyp size and pathologic diagnosis was an inverse relation to the polyp size and incidence of pseudopolyp (P=0.014). Conclusion: We propose that the 6-month-interval follow-up observation is fully safe for polyps sized below 10 ㎜ and not included in accepted operative indications.

Fermented Jeju Soybean Extract Promotes Hair Growth in Human Hair Follicle Organ Culture and Clinical Trial

콩 추출물은 노화, 암, 비만 및 심혈관 질환과 같은 질병의 예방 및 치료에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 최근 연구에 따르면 콩 추출물은 in vitro, in vivo 및 임상 연구에서 모발 성장에 강력한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 최근에는 발효추출물이 일반추출물에 비해 다양하고 높은 효능을 나타내는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 그러나 발효된 콩 추출물의 모발 성장을 유도하는 근본적인 매커니즘은 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 본 연구는 미녹시딜과 유사한 기본 매커니즘에 초점을 두고 제주푸른콩발효(FJS)추출물이 모발 성장에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 우리는 in vitro, ex vivo와 임상 연구를 수행하였다. 우리의 연구결과, FJS 추출물은 모낭모유두세포증식, VEGF 수준 및 포타슘 채널 활성을 향상시킴을 확인하였다. 이러한 효과는 FJS 추출물 이 함유된 토닉을 사용하였을 때, 24주 후 모발 밀도 개선을 확인한 임상결과에서도 종합적으로 입증되었다. 결론적으로, 본 연구의 결과는 FJS 추출물이 모낭의 미녹시딜과 유사한 매커니즘을 통해 모발 성장을 촉진하고 탈모를 억제한다는 것을 보여준다. Soybean extract is known to play an important role in preventing and treating diseases associated with aging, cancer, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. A recent has revealed that soybean extract has a potent effect on hair growth in in vitro, in vivo, and clinical studies. Recently, it has been reported that their fermented extracts exhibit numerous and high efficacy, as compared to general extracts. However, the underlying mechanisms that induce hair growth after using fermented soybean extract are not well understood. The present study aimed to determine the effects of fermented Jeju soybean (FJS) extract on hair growth, with a focus on the underlying mechanisms similar to those of minoxidil. We conducted in vitro and ex vivo investigations and clinical studies. FJS extract enhanced dermal papilla cell proliferation, VEGF levels, and potassium channel opening. Moreover, it promoted human hair follicle elongation. These effects were comprehensively demonstrated in the clinical results, in which FJS extract-containing shampoo improved hair density after 24 weeks of utilization. Collectively, the results of this study demonstrate that FJS extract promotes hair growth and inhibits hair loss through a mechanism similar to that of minoxidil in hair follicles.

지역아동센터 이용 아동의 학업성취, 자아존중감, 우울의 종단적 인과관계

본 연구는 시간의 흐름에 따른 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 학업성취, 자아존중감, 우울 간의 종단적 인과관계 및 자아존중감의 종단 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 한국청소년정책연구원에서 보건복지부와 지역아동센터 중앙지원단의 위탁을 받아 수집한 지역아동센터 아동패널 조사 2기 패널 1차년도(초등학교 4학년)~3차년도(초등학교 6학년) 자료를 사용하여 2시점 지연효과를 포함한 자기회귀교차지연모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 학업성취, 자아존중감, 우울은 초등학교 4학년 시점에서 초등학교 6학년 시점까지 안정성을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 학업성취는 다음 시점의 자아존중감과 우울을 유의미하게 예측하였다. 이전 시점의 자아존중감은 이후 시점의 학업성취에는 영향을 미치지 않았으나 우울과는 상호순환적인 관계를 보였다. 초등학교 4학년 시점의 학업성취와 자아존중감은 2시점 후의 우울에도 유의미한 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 두 변인이 우울에 미치는 영향력이 시간의 흐름에도 지속성이 있음을 확인하였다. 우울에서 학업성취 및 자아존중감으로 가는 교차지연효과는 자아존중감에 한해서만 유의미하였다. 셋째, 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 초등학교 4학년 시점 학업성취와 초등학교 6학년 시점 우울의 관계에서 초등학교 5학년 시점 자아존중감의 종단적 부분매개 효과를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 우울을 예방하기 위한 학업성취와 자아존중감 향상 정책을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the bidirectional relationship among academic achievement, self-esteem, and depression and the longitudinal mediating effect of self-esteem between academic achievement and depression. For the purpose of this study, the Community Child Center Panel Study data from 1st to 3rd edition were used for analysis. And Autoregressive Cross-Lagged(ARCL) modeling was performed including the 2 time points lagged model. The major results were as follows: First, academic achievement, self-esteem, and depression were relatively stable over time. Second, previous academic achievement had a significant effect on self-esteem and depression in the post-period. The cross-lagged effect of self-esteem on academic achievement was not statistically significant. But there was the longitudinal reciprocal relationship between self-esteem and depression. Academic achievement and self-esteem in 4th grade had a significant effect on depression in the year after next. This suggests the impact of the two variables on depression was sustained over time. Depression causally affected self-esteem. However, the cross-lagged effect of depression on academic achievement was not statistically significant. Third, self-esteem in 5th grade had a longitudinal partial-mediating effect on the relationship between academic achievement in 4th grade and depression in 6th grade. Based on these results, policies for improving academic achievement and self-esteem to prevent the depression of children in community child center were discussed.
