this paper, we made an experiment on materials of two kinds. First, we made a study of Multi-layer EM wave absorbers using Sendust. In result, The bandwidth of the Multi-layer Sendust EM wave absorbers over 10 dB is extended in S-Band. Second, we investigated the mixing effects of Al(OH)3 on Multi-layer Sendust EM wave Absorbers. In result, the Multi-layer Sendust EM wave absorbers mixed with Al(OH)3 showed a extended bandwidth over 10 dB compared with non-mixed Multi-layer Sendust EM wave absorbers in S-Band. 본 논문에서는 두 종류의 재료에 대한 실험이 진행되었다. 첫째, 센더스트를 이용한 적층형 전파흡수체를 연구하였다. 그 결과, 적층형 센더스트 전파흡수체는 S-Band에서 10dB 대역폭이 확장되었다. 둘째, 적층형 센더스트 전파흡수체에 수산화알루미늄의 혼합 효과를 연구하였다. 그 결과, 수산화알루미늄을 혼합한 적층형 센더스트 전파흡수체는 수산화알루미늄을 혼합하지 않은 적층형 센더스트 전파흡수체와 비교해서 S-Band에서 10dB 대역폭이 확장하였다.

The examined applications of conjugated polymers include organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), chemical sensors, photovoltaic cells, field-effect transistors, and so on. The acetylenic triple bonds have rich π-electrons, which can be easily polymerized to yield the linear conjugated polymer systems. Here, we prepared poly(phenylacetylene)s by using the palladium-based catalysts. The instrumental analysis data on the polymer structure revealed that the polymer have the conjugated polyene backbone structure with phenyl substituents. The band gap energy of polymer was estimated to be 2.51 eV and the photoluminescence spectra of polymer showed that the photoluminescence peak is located at 439 nm, corresponding to a photon energy of 2.82 eV. The cyclovoltamograms of polymer exhibited that the irreversible oxidation and reduction were occurred at 0.38V and 0.93 V, respectively.

More processable conjugated polymers can be prepared by the linear polymerization of substituted acetylenic monomers by transition metal catalysts and the non-catalyst polymerization of ethynylpyridines. An ionic polyacetylene with the reactive N-glycidylpyridinium bromide was synthesized in high yield by the non-catalyst polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine by using epibromohydrin. The cyclovoltamograms of polymer exhibited the electrochemically stable window and the redox current value gradually increased as the scan rate increased. The kinetics of the redox process of polymer was found to be well-controlled by the reactant diffusion process from the experiment of the oxidation current density of polymer versus the scan rate. This polymer exhibited characteristic UV-visible absorption band at 515 nm and yellow PL spectrum at 598 nm corresponding to the photon energy of 2.07 eV.
Electro-optical and electrochemical properties of poly(diethyl dipropargylmalonate)

The cyclopolymerization of nonconjugated diynes were extensively investigated in an attempt to prepare the polymer that would contain alternating double and single bonds along the polymer main chain with a cyclic recurring unit. Here, the poly(diethyl dipropargylmalonate) was prepared by modified palladium chlorides. The electro-optical and electrochemical properties of poly(diethyl dipropargylmalonate) were measured and discussed. The cyclovoltamograms of the polymer exhibited the irreversible electrochemical behaviors between the doping and undoping peaks. It was found that the kinetics of the redox process of polymer might be mainly controlled by the electron transfer process. The photoluminescence peak of polymer was observed at 543 nm, which is corresponded to the photon energy of 2.51 eV.

Purpose: Primary aldosteronism (PA) is characterized by hypertension (HTN), hypokalemia, suppressed plasma renin activity, and inappropriate aldosterone secretion. The purpose of this study was to analyze postoperative results on blood pressure (BP), and to determine the factors associated with resolution of HTN after adrenalectomy for PA. Methods: One hundred eight patients (66 females and 42 males) with a mean age of 46 years underwent adrenalectomy for PA between January 1, 1996 and September 30, 2009. Their clinical characteristics and biochemical parameters were reviewed retrospectively. Results: All patients had HTN preoperatively and 20 patients (18.1%) had uncontrolled HTN. Hypokalemia was evident in 89.1% of patients, cardiovascular events in 4.5% and cerebrovascular events in 8.2%. There was a significant decrease in both systolic BP and diastolic BP postoperatively, as compared with that before operation. Median systolic BP decreased from 150 mmHg to 125 mmHg at the last follow-up (P<0.01), and median diastolic BP decreased from 93.5 mmHg to 81.5 mmHg (P<0.01). Sixty two (57.4%) patients were cured of HTN and did not require any hypertensive agent, and 38 (35.1%) patients had an improvement in BP control, whereas 9 (8.3%) patients had no change in BP. Univariate analysis showed that duration of HTN and more than two HTN treatment agents were independent factors predicting sustained hypertension after surgery. Conclusion: The duration of HTN and the severity of HTN are factors influencing persistence of HTN after operation for a PA. (Korean J Endocrine Surg 2011;11:276-282)
Identification of Cleaved Haptoglobin in the Serum of Bee Venom-Hypersensitive Patients

Background: Bee venom has been used as a therapeutic compound for various human diseases in oriental medicine; however, it can induce anaphylaxis in hypersensitive patients during treatment. Anaphylaxis is an acute allergic reaction that occurs after allergen exposure. IgE is released from immune-related cells such as mast cells and basophils during anaphylaxis. Various inflammatory mediators are also released into the bloodstream during the acute response. Objectives: We aimed to identify specific proteins from bee venom-hypersensitive patients. Methods: We analyzed the blood serum of control and bee venom-hypersensitive patients using two-dimensional (2D) electrophoresis. Results: An interesting protein spot with a molecular size of 10 kDa was identified at an isoelectric point (p.I.) of 5.5. Spots detected both before and after sweet bee venom therapy were not proteins induced by sweet bee venom. The 10 kDa protein was identified as the cleaved form of haptoglobin through liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis. Statistical analysis indicated that the presence of the spot was highly significant in the bee venom-hypersensitive group. Conclusion: The findings suggest that cleaved haptoglobin may be a significant diagnostic protein for anaphylaxis. In addition, a high incidence of bee venom hypersensitivity may be associated with the haptoglobin genotype.

Our hole transport material and electron-transporting material, namely, CUK-HTL and from CUK-ETL-1 to CUK-ETL-4 were adapted to white OLED devices for solution process. White devices were fabricated using various emission materials with our new HTL and ETL materials. By recombination well-known emitting layers, new HTL and ETL materials in device, and by controlling film`s thickness in device highly efficient white emission has been attained. The blue phosphorescent, iridium (III)bis[(4,6-di-fluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C2]picolinate (FIrpic) is doped into separate layers of N,N-dicarbazolyl-3,5-benzene (mCP) and the others host.
