        수종의 근관세척액과 Listerine의 항균성 비교 연구

        본 연구는 여러 가지 근관세척액(NaOCl, CHX, EDTA)과 구강세정제로 사용되는 Listerine을 근관감염균주인 Porphyromonas gingivalis와 Enterococcus faecalis를 상대로 항균효과를 비교하고 Listerine이 근관세척액으로 사용가능한지를 확인하고자 시행하였다. 본 연구에서는 Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 3327과 Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212의 표준균주를 사용하였다. 실험을 위한 근관세척제로 0.1%, 0.2%, 1%, 2% Chlorhexidine(CHX)과 0.5%, 1%, 2.5%, 5.25% NaOCl, 0.5M EDTA(18.6% EDTA). 그리고 Listerine원액을 이용하였다. 항균효과의 비교는 액체배지상에서 균주의 혼탁도와 한천 확산법을 이용한 억제대 비교로 하였다. 모든 실험군은 대조군과 비교시 근관내 균주에 항균성을 나타냈다(p < 0.001). 모든 농도의 NaOCl, CHX, 그리고 EDTA는 실험균주에서 높은 항균성을 보였다. 모든 실험에서 Listerine은 다른 근관세척제에 비해 낮은 항균성을 보였다. 결론적으로, Listerine이 E. faecalis와 P. gingivalis에 대해 항균성을 보이나, 일반적으로 사용되는 근관세척 액에 비해서는 현저히 낮은 항균성을 나타냄으로 근관세척 액으로 사용은 적합하지 않음을 나타냈다. The purpose of this study is to compare the antibacterial effect of Listerine on two microorganisms (P. gingivalis and E. faecalis) with various root canal irrigants (NaOCl, CHX, EDTA) and to identify possibility of using Listerine as a root canal irrigant. Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 3327 and Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212 were used in this experiment. For the test irrigants, 0.5%, 1%, 2.5%, 5.25% NaOCl, 0.1%, 0.2%, 1%, 2% CHX, 0.5M EDTA (18.6% EDTA) and Listerine were prepared. Distiled water was used as control. Two methods-1) Comparison of turbidity in broth and 2) Agar diffusion test-were used to determine the extent of antibacterial effect of Listerine and to compare it with that of NaOCl, CHX, and EDTA. All solutions tested were effective against two bacterial strains compared with control (p < 0.001). Any concentration of NaOCl, CHX, and EDTA showed similarly high effectiveness against all bacterial strains. In all experiment, Listerine showed significantly low antibacterial effect compared with the other root canal irrigants (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the results reflect remarkably low antibacterial effect of Listerine as compared with root canal irrigants in general so it is not suitable for the root canal irrigant.

        압궤손상을 입은 혈관에서 Ginkgo Biloba 추출물(EGb 761)이 혈관문합술후 개통율에 미치는 영향

        Replantation after crush amputation has a relatively low success rate. Thrombus formation due to vessel and tissue trauma is considered as the principal cause of failure. In the laboratory and clinically, we have been tried to improve the post-anastomosis patency rate in crushed microvasculature. To accomplish this, we have usually used several anticoagulant drugs. Extracts from the leaves of Ginkgo biloba (EGb) have been used therapeutically for centuries. EGb exerts a number of pharmacologic actions. Eighty rats were control group and another 80 rats were treated with EGb 761. The femoral arteries underwent crush injury with an energy of 0.4J, and the vessles in each group were divided and anastomosed by a standard microsurgical technique. Each group was comprised as follows: ① control group(A1,A2): group A1(n=40); intraluminal saline irrigation, group A2(n=40); intraluminal saline irrigation+heparin 40 u/ml(IV) ② EGb 761 treated group(B1, B2): groupB1(n=40); intraluminal saline irrigation, group B2(n=40); intraluminal saline irrigation + heparin 40 u/ml(IV). At postoperative 14 days, the patency rates were; group A1 20%, group A2 77.5%, group B1 47.5%, group B2 92.5%. These results were interpreted as follows: the patency rate was significantly increased in the EGb 761-only treated group(p<0.01), the heparin-only treated group(p<0.01), and the EGb 761 and heparin-combined at crushed microvessel surgery. However the patency rate of the EGb-only treated group was significantly lower than that of the heparin-only treated group(p<0.01). And in the EGb 761 and heparin-combined treated group compared to the heparin-only treated group, there was some patency rate increase in the combined treated group, but there was no significant difference between them(p=0.060).

        패밀리레스토랑 음식서비스에 대한 만족에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 평가

        The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with high satisfaction with foodservices in family restaurant. Accordingly, this study surveyed questionnaire concerning 20 measures of foodservice as well as major subject descriptors. The result of this study were as follows. KMO and Bartlett's test statistics showed that the data fitted factor analysis well. Results of factor analysis, average variance extracted estimates and shared variance showed that the convergent and discriminant validitys of 3 factors are supported, and cronbach's alpha showed that the internal consistency of 3 factors is supported. It was found that expensive groups, except gender groups and frequency of purchase groups, were differentially associated with high levels of overall satisfaction with foodservices. Multivariate analyses showed that satisfaction with service factor was the best predictor of overall satisfaction, followed by facilities factor. Three factors emerged from the logistic regression analysis as predictors of level of overall satisfaction. Overall, approximately 77% of university students could be correctly classified as being satisfied or unsatisfied. Finally, the results of the study provide some insights into the market-oriented types of foodservice marketing strategies or tactics to enable family restaurant to effectively manage and more competitive.

      • 채소류에 의한 카드뮴과 납의 흡수에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 전통적으로 우리 식탁의 주요 부식으로 이용되어온 콩나물과 미나리를 Cd와 Pb가 함유된 배양액으로 재배하는 동안 이들 채소에 Cd와 Pb 가 어느 정도 흡수되는가를 조사하였다. 또한 수경재배에서 Cd와 Pb에 의한 콩나물의 생육장해 정도를 조사하였다. 배양액속에 함유된 Pb이온은 재배기간 동안 미나리와 콩나물 체내로 쉽게 흡 수되었다. 그리고 미나리는 콩나물보다 더 많은 양의 Pb를 흡수하였는데, 이 는 미나리의 줄기에 다량의 뿌리가 붙어있기 때문인 것으로 생각된다. 또한 배양액속의 Pb의 농도와 미나리와 콩나물 체내에 축적된 Pb의 함량과는 높은 상관성을 나타내었는데, 각각의 상관계수(r^2)는 0.9411, 0.9828이었다. Cd역시 Pb와 마찬가지로 재배기간 동안 미나리와 콩나물 체내로 쉽게 흡수되 었다. 또한 배양액속의 Cd의 농도와 미나리와 콩나물 체내에 축적된 Cd의 함 량과는 높은 상관성을 나타내었는데, 각각의 상관계수(r^2)은 0.9900, 0.9054이었다. 그러나 두 식물체에서 Pb의 흡수 경우와는 달리 배양액속에 함유되어 있는 Cd의 농도가 높을 경우 콩나물이 미나리보다 더 많은 Cd을 흡수하였다. 콩나물의 경우에는 Cd과 Pb이 재배기간 동안 거의 비슷한 양으로 흡수되었으며, 그리고 배양액 속에 함유된 이들 중금속들과 콩나물 체내에 축적된 중금속들 사이의 직선회귀선의 기울기도 거의 유사하였다. 그러나 미나리의 경우에는 Pb이 Cd보다 상당히 많은 양이 흡수되었으며, 또한 직선회귀선의 기울기도 Cd보다 Pb의 경우 상당히 크게 나타났다. Cd와 Pb의 농도가 1mg/l일 경우에는 콩나물 길이의 성장 또는 외관상의 생육에 거의 영향이 없었다. 그러나 10mg/l 농도에서부터는 길이의 성장장해뿐만 아니라 외관상으로도 분명한 장해현상이 나타났다. 50mg/l와 100mg/l의 농도에서는 콩나물의 생육장해가 더욱 심해졌다. Pb의 경우에는 100mg/l의 농도에서, Cd의 경우에는 50mg/l의 농도에서부터 재배기간 동안 콩나물의 상당 부분이 썩는 현상이 나타났다. This study was conducted to investigate the uptake of Cd and Pb by vegetables. Bean sprout and dropwort, which are very important for traditional korean dishes, were cultivated in culture fluid added with Cd and Pb cations, and the content of Cd and Pb absorbed by these vegetables were measured. Pb cations in culture fluid were easily absorbed into bean sprout and dropwort. And dropwort absorbed Pb more than bean sprout did. Pb contents of bean sprout and dropwart dramatically increased with increasing Pb concentration in culture fluid. The correlation coefficients(r^2) between Pb contents in dropwort and bean sprout and Pb concentrations in culture fluid were 0.9411 and 0.9828, respectively. Cd cations were also easily absorbed into bean sprout and dropwort. The correlation coefficients(r^2) between Cd contents in dropwort and bean sprout and Cd concentrations in culture fluid were 0.9900 and 0.9054, respectively. The growth of bean sprout was not hindered at the concentration of 1mg/ℓ Cd and Pb in culture fluid. But high Cd and Pb concentrations hindeded remarkably the growth of this vegetable. A large part of bean sprout was rotten at the concentrations of 50 mg/ℓ Cd, and 100 mg/ℓ Pb.

        치과용 인상재의 점성에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the rheological properties of a syringe type agar impression material, a zinc oxide eugenol impression paste and 6 types of elastomeric impression materials. Boiled agar impression material was cooled from 80℃ to 32℃, and its viscosity was measured during the temperature decrease at three different shearing rates. Viscosities of unmixed impression pastes were measured at three different temperature conditions and three different shearing rates. Impression materials were mixed at 23 and 30℃, and the viscosities were measured as a function of elapsed time from mixing. At 30℃ mixing condition, viscosities of condensation silicone rubber impression materials were measured with the variation of base/catalyst ratio, and viscosities of addition silicone rubber impression material with the varying amounts of retarder were measured. The results are as follow; 1. In all impression materials, viscosity values were decreased as the shear rate increased(P<0.05). 2. Viscosity of agar impression material was increased rapidly when the temperature decreased below 42℃(P<0.05). 3. Viscosities of unmixed impression materials were decreased by the increased temperature. Condensation and addition silicone rubber impression materials showed low viscosities, and polysulfide impression materials showed moderate viscosities, and polyether and zinc oxide eugenol impression materials showed much higher viscosities than other impression materials. 4. As the room temperature increased, the mixed impression materials showed significantly rapid increase of viscosities during the same lapse of time(P<0.05). Polysulfide rubber and zinc oxide eugenol impression materials retained low viscosities for longer time in the course of setting. Ramitec, polyether rubber for bite registration, attained high viscosity within short elapsed time. On the other hand, Impregum-F polyether rubber impression material showed slowed slower increase of viscosity than condensation and addition silicone rubber impression materials. 5. Viscosities of condensation silicone rubber impression material reacted sensitively with the variation of base/catalyst ratio(P<0.05). 6. Addition silicone rubber impression material mixed with 2 drops of retarder per 5 cm pastes showed no significant difference in viscosity compared with normal mixing condition(P>0.05), but 4 drop-added mix showed significant decrease in viscosity compared with normal mixing group(P<0.05).

        Anti-osteoporotic Effects of Sericin-Calcium Conjugate in Ovariectomized Rats

        This study was conducted in order to evaluate the effect of sericin-calcium (SC) as therapy for ovariectomy-induced osteoporosis in rats. Three weeks after ovariectomy (OVX), Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into three groups: sham-operated group (Sham), ovariectomized group, and SC-treatment group (OVX+SC). Rats in the OVX+SC group were given drinking water containing 0.07% SC for eight weeks. Bone breaking force, mineralization, and blood parameters related to bone metabolism were analyzed. In OVX animals, blood concentration of 17β-estradiol showed a significant decrease, while osteocalcin and type I collagen C-terminal telopeptides (CTx) showed an increase. Breaking force of femurs as well as bone mineral density (BMD), ash, calcium, and phosphorus in femurs showed a significant decrease following OVX. Treatment with SC (0.07% in drinking water) resulted not only in remarkable restoration of the decreased 17β-estradiol and increased osteocalcin and CTx concentrations, but also led to recovery of decreased femoral breaking force, BMD, ash, calcium, and phosphorus. It is suggested that SC effectively improves bone density by preventing bone turnover-mediated osteocalcin, CTx, and minerals, and that it could be a potential candidate for use in therapy or prevention of post-menopausal osteoporosis.

        간호실무에서 신봉이론(Espoused theories)에 대한 탐색적 연구

        As a nursing practice involves nurses' actions in a specific context of health care, this study has focused on exploring the espoused theories in nursing practice within the action science perspectives, Espoused theories are the belief, principles, and rationale expressed by the practitioner as guiding her/his actions in a situation of practice. The data were analysed qualitatively and 25 elements of espoused theories of nursing action were identified and clustered into 6 categories. The 25 elements of espoused theories are as follows: The clinical nurse worked in wholistic and individual nursing, focussed on the patient's needed, comfort and supportive nursing (5 theories of nursing goal) ; excellent skills, knowledge based, assessment and data collection, explaining, educating or a scientific basis(6 theories of nursing intervention): advocacy, value oriented, treatment, account- ability and commitment(4 theories of nursing ethics) ; human respect. partnership, trust(3 theories of patient-nurse relationship) : knowledgable, accumulated clinical experiences and personally lived experiences. positive perspectives(4 theories of nurse), role of intervention. rewarding peer relationship(3 theories of situations) The above mentioned espoused theories are similar to that of nursing textbooks which students learned through basic nursing education and almost the same as the Acts ofa Nurse in Korean. However, we are doubtful whether nurses actually do as they think. Therefore. it is recommended to review the theories-in-use in order to and any discrepancies between the espoused theories and the reality of nursing actions

 <I>Eur J Oral Sci 2011; 119: 115–120. © 2011 Eur J Oral Sci</I> </P><P>Relaxin (Rln) is an ovarian hormone that stimulates osteoclastic and osteoblastic activities and connective tissue turnover. To investigate the expression of Rln during orthodontic tooth movement, rats were implanted with orthodontic appliances that connected a spring from the upper incisors to the first molar with a 70 cN force. Rats in each group were killed 6, 48, and 144 h after activating the appliance, and the levels of <I>Rln1</I> and <I>Rln3</I> expression in the ovary were determined by real‐time RT‐PCR, northern blots, western blots, and immunofluorescence analyses. The amount of tooth movement induced by the orthodontic force increased in a time‐dependent manner. The levels of <I>Rln1</I> mRNA increased by 12‐, 41‐, and 263‐fold at 6, 48, and 144 h, respectively, after orthodontic tooth movement. The time‐dependent increase in the concentration of Rln 1 protein in the ovary was also confirmed by western blotting. Rln 1 was localized in the granulosa cells of the ovarian follicles, and the immunoreactivity against Rln 1 was increased by the movement. In contrast, the concentration of Rln 3 was below the level of detection. The results of this study suggest that local changes in periodontal tissues induced by orthodontic tooth movement may affect <I>Rln1</I> expression in the ovary. However, further studies are needed to decipher the mechanisms involved and the possible contribution of the increased level of expression of Rln 1 to the tooth movement.</P>
