        모과내 기능성 유용성분 용매추출공정의 최적화

        본 연구에서는 모과내의 여러 가지 기능성 유용성분을 효과적으로 추출하기 위해서, 모과나무의 익은 열매로 만든 약재인 모과를 사용 하였다. 모과의 기능성 유용성분용매 추출 공정의 최적 조건을 확립하고자 하였다. 모과를 에탄올에 추출하여 반응표면 분석법으로 모니터링하여 최적 용매 조건을 설정하였다. 중심합성계획법에 따라 시료에 대한 용매비(X1)와 추출온도(X2), 추출시간(X3)을 요인변수로 하고 추출수율(Y1), 총페놀 함량(Y2), 전자공여능(Y3), 갈색도(Y4), 환원당(Y5)을 종속변수로 하여 시행하였다. 실험 결과 추출수율은 추출 온도와 추출 시간에 유의하게 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 안장점에서 추출조건은 시료에 대한 용매비는 26.38mL/g, 추출온도는 72.82oC, 추출시간은 74.86 min에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 총페놀 함량은 용매비와 시간에 영향을 거의 받지 않았고 추출시간에는 영향을 받았으며, 최대값은 20.70mg/mL 로 나타났다. 이때의 추출조건은 시료에 대한 용매비는 22.61mL/g, 추출온도는 84.49oC, 추출시간은 77.25 min으로 나타났다. 전자공여능은 추출온도에 따라 유의하게 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 안장점에서의 추출조건인 시료에 대한 용매비 10.65mL/g, 추출온도 67.78oC, 추출시간 96.75 min에서 추출수율은 94.12%로 예측되었다. 갈색도에 대한 추출조건은 시료에 대한 용매비 23.77mL/g, 추출온도 87.27oC, 추출시간 96.68 min 일 때 안장점이 나타났다. 환원당은 시료에 대한 용매비 26.83mL/g, 추출온도 82.167oC, 추출시간 81.94 min에서 10.55mg/mL로 최대값을 나타내었고 추출시간에 영향을 받았다. In this study, various active functional components in Chinese Quince were extracted by solvent extraction method. A central composit design for optimization was applied to investigate the effects of independent variables such as solvent to sample ratio (X1), extraction temperature (X2), and extraction time (X3) on the soluble solid contents (Y1), total phenols (Y2), electron donating ability (Y3), browning color (Y4) and reducing sugar contents (Y5). It was found that extraction temperature and extraction time were the main effective factors in this extraction process. The maximum soluble solid contents of 35.77% was obtained at 26.38mL/g (X1), 72.82oC (X2) and 74.86 min (X3) in saddle point. Total phenols were rarely affected by solvent ratio and extraction time, but it was affected by extraction temperature. The maximum total phenols of 20.70% was obtained at 22.61mL/g (X1), 84.49oC (X2), 77.25 min (X3) in saddle point. The electron donating ability was affected by extraction time. The maximum electron donating ability of 94.12% was obtained at 10.65mL/g (X1), 67.78oC (X2), 96.75 min (X3) in saddle point. The maximum browning color of 0.32% was obtained at 23.77mL/g (X1), 87.27oC (X2), 96.68 min (X3) in saddle point. The maximum value of reducing sugar content of 10.55% was obtained at 26.83mL/g (X1), 82.167oC (X2), 81.94 min (X3). Reducing sugar content was affected by extraction time.

        가압가열 및 Microwave 처리에 의한 중력분 Gliadin의 항원성 변화

        본 연구에서는 가압가열 및 microwave 처리가 gliadin의 항원성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 중력분에 가압가열과 microwave를 단독 또는 병행으로 처리하여 Ci-ELISA, SDS-PAGE 및 immunoblotting을 실시하였다. 가압가열 처리의 경우, 처리 시간이 길어질수록 IgG와의 결합력이 감소하였으며, 특히 50분 처리구에서 약 69%로 가장 낮은 결합력을 보였다. 또한 SDS-PAGE와 immunoblotting 결과에서도 무처리구에서 강하게 보였던 gliadin band가 처리에 의해 거의 소실되고 항체와 반응하지 않았다. 가압가열 및 microwave를 병행 처리한 경우도 마찬가지로 gliadin의 결합력이 다소 감소하였으며, 처리구 중에서는 가압가열 50분, microwave 5분 처리구에서 약 73%로 가장 낮은 결합력을 보였다. 반면 microwave를 단독으로 처리하였을 때에는 일부 단백질의 변화는 관찰되었으나 항원성 감소에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 통해 가압가열을 단독 처리에 의해 gliadin의 항원성이 다소 감소되었으며, microwave 병행 처리에 의한 차이는 크게 나타나지 않은 것을 확인하였다. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of physical treatments on the antigenicity of gliadin in medium wheat flour. The wheat flour was treated with an autoclave (5, 10, 30, 50 min), a microwave (1, 5, 10 min), and both (10, 30, 50 min/ 5, 10 min), and investigated by SDS-PAGE, immunoblotting and Ci-ELISA using anti-gliadin IgG. The results showed that the binding ability of anti-gliadin IgG to gliadin in wheat flour was slightly decreased when autoclaved or when autoclaved and microwaved. Especially, it was reduced to about 69% after autoclaving for 50 min and 73% after autoclaving for 50 min and microwaving for 5 min. In addition, gliadin bands in the 50 min autoclaved group disappeared in both SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting. On the other hand, the antigenicity of gliadin was unaffected by microwaving alone. Consequently, there were no considerable changes in using an autoclave alone or in combination with a microwave. These results suggest that autoclaving may affect the reduction of the antigenicity of gliadin in medium wheat flour.

      • A study on the removal of sulfate and nitrate from the wet scrubber wastewater using electrocoagulation

        <P>Wet scrubber is widely used to remove pollutants from a furnace flue gas or from other gas streams. However, high cost for the treatment or exchange of contaminated washed water is one of the problems. Electrocoagulation (EC) is an electrochemical method for treating polluted water, whereby sacrificial anodes dissolve to produce active coagulant precursors in the solution. This technology can be used for the removal of color, anionic contaminants, and colloidal particles. The goal of the present study was evaluation of EC process for treatment of wet scrubber wastewater and optimization of the process. In this study, the influence of electrode material and electrode distance on removal efficiency (%) of nitrate, sulfate, and total suspended solids (TSS) was investigated with synthetic wastewater. Using an Al electrode, 60.6% of nitrate, 50.0% of sulfate, and 96.8% of TSS were removed by EC treatment within 30 min. In case of Fe electrode, 69.7% of nitrate, 75.0% of sulfate, and 98.8% of TSS were removed. The treatment efficiency for real wet scrubber wastewater was evaluated with Fe electrode. After 180 min of EC treatment, 50% of color, 40% of nitrate, 40% of sulfate, and 95% of TSS were removed, respectively. All these results give clear evidence that EC process can effectively reduce the TSS, nitrate, and sulfate ions from wet scrubber wastewater.</P>

        물리ㆍ화학적 처리에 의한 멸균 초콜릿 우유 오염균의 생육억제 효과

        멸균 초콜릿 우유로부터 분리한 내열성 균주에 대해 열, pH, 전해수, 오존처리, microwave 및 감마선 처리를 하여 균주의 사멸효과에 대해 알아보았다. 균주의 지방산 분석과 API kit를 통하여 균주를 동정한 결과, Bacillus lentus로 동정되었으며, 잠정적으로 Bacillus lentus M1으로 명명하였다. B. lentus M1에 110℃, 15분간 열처리하였을 경우 생육이 억제되었으며, pH 처리 시 pH 5 이하, 10 이상에서 생육이 억제된 것으로 나타났다. B. lentus M1에 대한 전해수의 항균활성을 paper disc법으로 측정한 결과, 높은 생육억제를 보였으며, 오존 처리의 경우 초기 균수가 10² CFU가량의 균을 10분 동안, 10³ CFU가량의 균을 30분 동안 처리 시 균의 생육이 억제되는 것으로 나타났다. Microwave를 1분간 처리 시 B. lentus M1이 모두 사멸한 것으로 나타났다. 감마선 조사의 경우, 1 kGy 조사 시 생균수가 1.61×10³ CFU로 초기 균수에 비해 4 log cycle 가량 균수가 감소하였으며 7 kGy에서 완전히 사멸하였다. 이상의 결과를 통해 열, pH, 전해수, 오존 처리 및 방사선 처리 방법이 멸균 초콜릿 우유의 생존 오염균인 B. lentus M1을 효과적으로 사멸시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study was conducted to investigate the cause of microbiological contaminants in aseptic chocolate milk and evaluate the effect of a physicochemical treatment on the growth inhibition of isolated bacterial strains. The bacterium isolated from aseptic chocolate milk was identified as Bacillus lentus and was named B. lentus M1. In the heat and pH treatment, the growth of B. lentus was inhibited at 110℃ for >15 min and at pH’s <5 and >10. An electrolyzed water treatment against B. lentus M1, revealed 5 ㎜ growth past the inhibition zone. The effect of ozone gas on B. lentus M1 growth was evaluated using viable cell counts. When the initial number of B. lentus M1 was 10² and 10³ CFU, the bacteria were completely suppressed by ozone gas treatment for 10 and 30 min, respectively. In a microwave treatment, B. lentus M1 was sterilized following microwave treatment for 1 min. As the result of γ-irradiation against B. lentus M1, numbers decreased as the γ-irradiation dosage increased. These results show the growth inhibition effects against contaminants in aseptic chocolate milk using physicochemical treatments.

      • 瀉白散의 肥滿細胞 嫫介性 炎症性 細胞活性物質 分泌 抑制 效果

        Ocjective : Sabaeksan has been used for the purpose of prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic asthma in korea. Methods : To investigate the biological effect of Sabaeksan, the author examined cytotoxicity and inflammatory cytokines secretion with human leukemic mast cell line, HMC-1. HMC-1 was stimulated with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and calcium ionophore A23187. Sabaeksan by itself had no effect on viability of HMC-1. Result : The effects of Sabaeksan on the secretion of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-6 from HMC-1 were evaluated with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Sabaeksan (1 mg/㎖) inhibited PMA plus A23187-stimulated TNF-α and IL-6 secretion, by 43.86 ± 5.26%, 56.39 ± 3.65%, respectively. Sabaeksan also inhibited the NF-κB (p50/p65) expression. Conclusion : Taken together, these results suggest that Sabaeksan inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in HMC-1 cells through blockade of NF-κB activation.

      • 컴퓨터 작업 시 의자 등받이 위치가 근육 활성도에 미치는 영향

        이 연구는 컴퓨터 작업시 의자 등받이 위치가 근육활성도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 36명의 근골격에 문제가 없는 성인 남녀가 참가하였으며 대상자들은 등받이가 뒤에 있는 의자와 등받이가 없는 의자, 등받이가 앞에 있는 우리들 의자를 무작위로 배정하고 동일한 컴퓨터 작업을 실시하게 하였다. 실험 중, 표면근전도기를 사용하여 의자에 따른 위등세모근, 머리널판근 그리고 척주세움근의 근활성도 변화를 측정하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 종합해보면 등받이가 앞에 있는 의자는 허리 근육의 부담을 줄이지만 목근육에 부담이 늘어나고 등받이가 뒤에 있는 의자와 없는 의자는 허리근육에는 다소 무리가 가지만 목근육에는 부담이 덜하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로 환자의 증상에 다라 컴퓨터 작업을 하는 동안 의자 등받이의 위치를 조절하여 치료에 도움이 될 수 있다고 생각되어진다. Objective : In this study, we checked and observed people's change of body muscle and muscle activity who do computer work on different chairs. We set three kind of chairs which one is a stool and another one is the back is fixed, and the other one is the back is fixed in front of chair. Subject : Accounting for 36 health men and women, we divided these people to 3 groups and put them on the three cases(position 1, position 2, position 3). We measured muscle activity of upper trapezius, Splenius Cervics, Erector Spinae from the groups by using surface electromyogram system. Methods : The standard of the electromyogram was 'reference voluntary contraction', and we carried out 'one way anova' to compare muscle activity of three groups. Results : In position 1, reference voluntary contraction of upper trapezius muscle activity was 123.2821%, Splenius Cervics was 141.7526%, and Erector Spinae was 254.5233%. In position 2, reference voluntary contraction of upper trapezius muscle activity was 132.9395%, Splenius Cervics was 141.7526%, and Erector Spinae was 246.6540%. In position 3, reference voluntary contraction of upper trapezius muscle activity was 190.6487%, Splenius Cervics was 270.2332%, and Erector Spinae was 182.1021%. Both upper trapezius and Splenius Cervics muscle activity of position 3 group was higher than the others groups. In position 1 group, Erector Spinae muscle activity was hight than the other groups. And either was position 2 group's(p<0.05). Conclusion : Therefore the chair which is the back is fixed in front is more comfortable for waist muscle but it's not good for neck. And the other chairs are better in waist muscle but not in neck muscle. So far, when we do a computer work, it's prefer to sit on the group 1&2's chairs to reduce neck muscle's stress and sit on group 3's chair to reduce waist muscle's stress.

      • 청소년의 스마트폰 중독과 우울 및 불안과의 관계

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between the degree of smart phone addiction among adolescents and their depression and anxiety levels. Method: In this study, 379 high school students were selected using the convenient sampling method. The instruments used for this study were smart phone addiction measure, the CES-D (Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale), and the STAI (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory). Data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 program with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA with Scheffe test, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Result: The mean score for smart phone addiction was 40.45±17.27, depression was 36.56±9.58, state anxiety was 44.00±9.61, and trait anxiety was 45.70±9.75. There were significant differences between the degree of smart phone addiction and the following variables: gender (t=-4.953, p<.001), hours of smart phone use per day (F=12.259, p<.001), types of frequently used features (F=3.485, p=.008), and satisfaction level for smart phone (F=5.18, p<.001). There were statistically significant relationships (p<.001) among degree of smart phone addiction, depression level, and state and trait anxiety levels. Conclusion: The results of this study suggested that there was a significant relationship between smart phone addiction and mental health, specifically, depression and anxiety among adolescents. Further research is needed to develop nursing strategies to provide care for adolescents who frequently utilize smart phones.

        광중합형 수복용 복합레진의 인장강도에 미치는 thermal cycling과 시효 처리의 영향

        The improvement in the mechanical properties of restorative composites has contributed to their increased use in recent years. In spite of their growing popularity, composites still have low resistance to fracture and wear in oral environments. This study was performed to examine whether the tensile strengths of light-cured restorative composites were affected by thermal cycling and aging in water. Five commerically available light-activated composites(Heliomolar : HM, Aelitefil : AF, Amelogen : AG, Clearfil AP-X : CF, Z100 : ZH) were used. Rectangular tension test specimens were fabricated in a teflon mold giving 5 mm in gauge length and 2mm in thickness. All samples were divided into 3 groups. Group 1 was stored in a desiccator for 10 days. Group 2 was immersed in a 37℃ distilled water for 10 days. Group 3 was subjected to 10,000 thermal cycles between 5℃ and 55℃, and the immersion time in each bath was 15 seconds per cycle. Tensile testing was carried out at a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min and fracture surfaces were observed with scanning electron microscope. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The strength data fit to single-mode Weibull distribution(r²> 0.86) and Weibull parameters decreased after thermal cycling test. 2. The highest characteristics strength was observed in the CF group but the highest Weibull modulus was obtained in the AF group after thermal cycling test. 3. The highest tensile strength value of 83.92 MPa was obtained in the CF group and the lowest value of 13.91 MPa was obtained in the AG group. Tensile strengths showed no significant difference between HM and AG groups but other groups showed the significant differences in each group(p<0.05). 4. According to the microscopic observation of the fracture surfaces, fractures of large fillers were observed in the hybrid composites of the AF and CF groups.

        초음파 주파수 및 반응조건 변화에 따른 나프탈렌 분해효율과 OH 라디칼의 발생량 비교

        나프탈렌은 휘발성이 있는 소수성 물질로 발암유발 가능성이 있고, 수생태계에 심각한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 초음파의 주파수 및 반응조건별 나프탈렌 분해효율과 OH 라디칼 변화량을 조사하였다. C-18 역상칼럼을 이용한 LC/FLD (1200 series, Agilent)로 나프탈렌을 분석한 결과 MDL (Method detection limit)은 0.01 ppm이었다. 초음파 조사 동안 휘발된 나프탈렌은 거의 검출되지 않았고(0.05 ppm 이하), 반응조 덮개 개폐별 나프탈렌 분해효율은 거의 차이를 보이지 않았다(1% 이내). 초음파 반응온도가 증가할수록 나프탈렌 제거효율은 감소하는 경향(15℃: 95%→40℃: 85%)을 보였고, pH가 낮을수록 나프탈렌 분해효율이 증가(pH 12: 84%→pH 3: 95.6%)하였다. 나프탈렌 초기농도의 감소에 따라 반응속도는 증가하는 경향을 보여주었다(2.5 ppm: 27.3×10(-3) min(-1), 5 ppm: 22.7×10(-3) min(-1), 10 ppm: 19.0×10(-3) min(-1)). 동일한 초음파 조건(2.5 ppm 나프탈렌, 0.075 W/mL, 20℃, pH 6.8)에서 28 kHz의 분해효율이 132 kHz보다 약 1.46배 높았고(132 kHz: 56%, 28 kHz: 82.7%), 유사 일차반응 속도상수(k1)도 약 2.3배 높게 나타났다(132 kHz: 2.4×10(-3) min(-1), 28 kHz: 5.0×10(-3) min(-1)). 초음파 조사 10분 후 H₂O₂ 농도는 132 kHz가 28 kHz보다 약 7.2배 높았지만(132 kHz: 0.36 ppm, 28 kHz: 0.05 ppm), 조사 90분 후에는 28 kHz가 132 kHz보다 1.1배 높았다(28 kHz: 0.45 ppm, 132 kHz: 0.4 ppm). 2.5 ppm 나프탈렌 용액에 132 kHz와 28 kHz 초음파 조사시 발생된 H₂O₂ 농도는 초순수에 초음파 조사한 결과보다 각각 0.1 ppm과 0.05 ppm씩 낮게 나타났다. 혼형(24 kHz)과 배스형(28 kHz) 초음파의 나프탈렌 분해효율은 각각 87%와 82.7%였고, k1은 22.8×10(-3) min(-1)와 18.7×10(-3) min(-1)로 산출되었다. 다주파 복합형 초음파 시스템(28 kHz 배스형+24 kHz 혼형 초음파)의 나프탈렌 분해효율은 단일주파수 24 kHz(혼형)와 비슷한 제거효율을 보였으나(88%), H₂O₂의 농도는 약 3.5배 높게 조사되었다(28 kHz+24 kHz: 2.37 ppm, 24 kHz: 0.7 ppm). 이와 같은 다주파 복합형 초음파 시스템은 OH 라디칼에 의해 산화가 잘 일어나는 물질의 분해에 매우 효과적으로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. Naphthalene is a volatile, hydrophobic, and possibly carcinogenic compound that is known to have a severe detrimental effect to aquatic ecosystem. Our research examined the effects of various operating conditions (temperature, pH, initial concentration, and frequency and type of ultrasound) on the sonochemical degradation of naphthalene and OH radical production. The MDL (Method detection limit) determined by LC/FLD (1200 series, Agilient) using C-18 reversed column is measured up to 0.01 ppm. Naphthalene vapor produced from ultrasound irradiation was detected under 0.05 ppm. Comparison of naphthalene sonodegradion efficiency tested under open and closed reactor cover fell within less than 1% of difference. Increasing the reaction temperature from 15℃ to 40℃ resulted in reduction of naphthalene degradation efficiency (15℃: 95%→40℃: 85%), and altering pH from 12 to 3 increased the effect (pH 12: 84%→pH 3: 95.6%). Pseudo first-order constants (k1) of sonodegradation of naphthalene decreased as initial concentration of naphthalene increased (2.5 ppm: 27.3×10(-3) min(-3)→10 ppm : 19.0×10(-3) min(-3)). Degradation efficiency of 2.5 ppm of naphthalene subjected to 28 kHz of ultrasonic irradiation was found to be 1.46 times as much as when exposed under 132 kHz (132 kHz: 56%, 28 kHz: 82.7%). Additionally, its k1 constant was increased by 2.3 times (132 kHz: 2.4×10(-3) min(-1), 28 kHz: 5.0×10(-3) min(-1)). H₂O₂ concentration measured 10 minutes after the exposure to 132 kHz of ultrasound, when compared with the measurement under frequency of 28 kHz, was 7.2 times as much. The concentration measured after 90 minutes, however, showed the difference of only 10%. (concentration of H₂O₂ under 28 kHz being 1.1 times greater than that under 132 kHz.) The H₂O₂ concentration resulting from 2.5 ppm naphthalene after 90 minutes of sonication at 24 kHz and 132 kHz were lower by 0.05 and 0.1 ppm, respectively, than the concentration measured from the irradiated M.Q. water (no naphthalene added.) Degradation efficiency of horn type (24 kHz) and bath type (28 kHz) ultrasound was found to be 87% and 82.7%, respectively, and k1 was calculated into 22.8×10(-3) min(-1) and 18.7×10(-3) min(-1), respectively. Using the multi- frequency and mixed type of ultrasound system (28 kHz bath type+24 kHz horn type) simultaneously resulted in combined efficiency of 88.1%, while H₂O₂ concentration increased 3.5 times (28 kHz+24 kHz: 2.37 ppm, 24 kHz: 0.7 ppm.) Therefore, the multi-frequency and mixed type of ultrasound system procedure might be most effectively used for removing the substances that are easily oxidized by the OH radical.

        미세기포 부상분리 장치를 이용한 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수의 전처리 특성

        본 연구는 생물학적 처리시 문제를 발생시키는 고농도의 폐수인 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수를 부상분리 효과와 오존용해효율을 동시에 높일 수 있는 마이크로 나노버블-용존오존부상(Micronano Bubble Dissolved Ozone Flotation; MNB-DOF)시스템에 적용시켜 오존 용해특성을 살펴보고, 또한 생물학적 전처리로서 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수의 생분해 특성 및 처리특성 등을 평가하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수는 B시 S매립장에서 발생하는 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수를 대상으로 하였으며, 실험장치는 마이크로나노버블 발생장치와 오존발생장치로 구성되어있는 MNB-DOF시스템을 사용하였으며, 시스템의 반응조규격은 D 300 mm × H 500 mm이며 유효용량은 150 L의 크기이다. 공기유량 1 L/min(3.43 gO<sub>3</sub>/hr)으로 오존용해실험을 실시한 결과 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수에서의 오존이 포화농도에 도달하는 시간은 220∼240 분으로 나타났고, 이때의 오존의 농도는 0.834 ppm으로 나타났다. MNB-DOF 시스템에 의한 생활폐기물 재활용품 세척폐수의 처리특성을 평가한 결과 공기유량1.0 L/min으로 240 분 동안 운전한 결과 SS, 탁도, 색도, BOD<sub>5</sub>, COD<sub>Cr</sub>의 제거효율은 각각66.1%, 55.2%, 57.1%, 1.6%, 30.4%로 나타났다. 마이크로 나노버블의 미세한 기포특성에 의해 SS, 탁도의 제거효율이 높음을 알 수 있었고, 또한 오존산화에 의한 색도의 제거효과도 탁월함을 알 수 있었다. MNB-DOF 시스템을 이용해 생물학적 처리를 위한 전처리로서 이용가능성이 있는지를 평가하기 위해 생분해도(BOD<sub>5</sub>/COD<sub>Cr</sub>)를 평가한 결과 초기비 0.34에서 0.48로 변화하여 생물학적 처리를 위한 전처리로서 이용가능성이 충분히 있을 것으로 판단된다. The waste water from the cleaning of the recycling product of life wastes which is highly condensed and creates the problems in biological treatment was examined for its ozone dissolving characteristics in application to the micro nano bubble-dissolved ozone floatation (MNB-DOF) system. The bio degradability and treatment characteristics of the waste water from the cleaning of the recycling product of life wastes were evaluated by the biological pre-treatment. The waste water from the cleaning of the recycling product of life wastes used in this study was adopted from the S landfill site in B city and the MNB-DOF system which is composed of the equipment of micro nano bubble generative and the ozone creation equipment was used for experiment device. The size of this system is D 300 mm × H 500 mm, 150 L. The time for ozone to reach to the saturated concentration was 220∼ 240 minutes in the wastewater from the cleaning of the recycling product of life wastes through the ozone dissolving experiment with air flow volume of 1 L/min(3.43 gO<sub>3</sub>/hr) and the concentration of the ozone was 0.834 ppm at this time. The result from the evaluation on the treatment characteristics of the wastewater from the cleaning of the recycling product of life wastes by MNB-DOF system resulted in 66.1%, 55.2%, 57.1%, 1.6% and 30.4% respectively for SS, Turbidity, Color, BOD<sub>5</sub> and COD<sub>Cr</sub> after operation for 240 minutes in air flow volume of 1.0 L/min. It was known that SS and the removing effect on turbidity by the fine air bubble properties of micro nano bubble was high, in addition, it was excellent in the removing effect on the color due to the ozone oxidation. The degree of biodegrading (BOD<sub>5</sub>/COD<sub>Cr</sub>) to know whether MNB-DOF system has potentiality for utilization as a pre-treatment for the biological treatment was evaluated. It is considered that it has a high potentiality to use as a pre-treatment for the biological treatment as the initial rate was changed from 0.34 to 0.48.
