논문 : 이광수의 『무정』에 나타난 근대의 부정성에 대한 비판

이 글에서는 『무정』을 서구문명/ 전통문화, 근대/ 전근대, 영문식 사상/ 한문식사상, 신세대/ 구세대, 새로운 윤리/ 유교 윤리 등의 이항 대립에 바탕해, 전자를 지향하는작품으로 보는 것에 의문을 제기하고, 새로운 독해를 시도하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 가장 기초적인 텍스트 분석을 해보고자 하는데, 그것은 바로 이 작품의 표제이기도 한‘『무정』’이라는 어휘의 의미를 추적하는 것이다. 나아가 이광수가 『무정』에서 이상향으로 제시한 ‘유정’한 세상의 참된 모습과 그 의미를 살펴보고자 한다. 이광수의 『무정』에 등장하는 총 스물네 번의 ‘『무정』’ 중에서 주요 서사와 직접적인 관련이 없는 네 번과, 마지막 문장에서의 두 번, 그리고 배학감을 가리킬 때의 한 번을 제외한 열일곱 번은 모두 영채와 관련된다. 이것은 ‘『무정』’이 대부분 영채의 고통스런 삶을 가리키기 위해 사용되고 있는 것임을 보여준다. 지금까지 『무정』의 ‘『무정』’은 ‘『무정』한 과거’라는 표현이 의미하듯이, 문명 개화 이전의 과거와 관련된 것으로 이해되어 왔다. 그러나 오히려 『무정』에서 ‘『무정』’은 돈의 사회적 지배력이 커진 것과 직접적으로 관련되어 있다. 형식이 영채를 구할 돈 천 원을 애타게 원하며 하는 “돈만 잇스면 사□의 몸은 커녕 령혼□지라도 사게된 이셰상”(25회)이야말로 ‘『무정』’의 진정한 이유였던 것이다. 『무정』에서 신문물을 받아들이고 계몽이 한창이어야 할 서울이나 평양이라는 공간은, 실제로는 돈이 절대적인 영향력을 발휘하는 공간으로 그려질 뿐이다. 그렇다면, 오히려 ‘『무정』’은 과거와 관련된다기보다는 근대화에 따른 돈의 영향력이 커진 ‘현재’의 시공과 관련된 것이라고 볼 수도 있다. 따라서 『무정』의 “어둡던 셰샹이 평□ 어두울것이 안이오 무졍□던 셰샹이 평□ 무졍□ 것이 아니다 우리□ 우리힘으로 밝게□고 유졍□게□고 질겁게□고 가멸게□고 굿세게□ 것이로다”(126회, 이하 본고의 모든 강조는 인용자)라는 마지막 부분은 근대지향이라기보다는 근대의 한 가지 부정성에 대한 비판의 의미로 새겨볼 가능성도 존재한다. 이 작품에서 문명 개화의 선생님은 말할 것도 없이 이형식이다. 이 때 형식이 선생의 자리를 차지할 수 있는 것은 그가 지향하는 근대성 때문이라고 할수 있다. 동시에 『무정』에서 반드시 극복해야 할 것으로 제시된 ‘『무정』’을 양산해내는 존재역시 이형식이다. 따라서 이광수의 『무정』은 ‘이형식 비판’이라는 중요한 과제를 제시하는작품이기도 한 것이다. 마지막으로 이광수의 『무정』에서 『무정』한 세상 이후에 올 유정한 세상이란 결국 상징계 이전의 상상계적 시공임을 확인할 수 있다. This writing questions the understanding of "Moo Jeong" pursuing the former choice of the binary oppositions between western / traditional culture, modern / pre-modern, English / Chinese philosophies, new / old generation, and new / Confucius ethics and seeks to provide a new interpretation of the text. For this purpose, the most basic analysis of the text was necessary beginning with the tracing of the meaning of the word ``Moo Jeong`` which is the title of the story. Furthermore, the true picture and meaning of ``Yoo Jeong`` suggested as the ideal of Moo Jeong by Gwang-Soo Lee will be explained. ``Moo Jeong`` appears 25 times in Gwang-Soo Lee`s "Moo Jeong", and except for four times when they were not relevant in the main narrative, twice in the last sentence, and once when it referred to Dean Bae, 17 times when it was mentioned was related to Young-Chae. ``Moo Jeong`` was used to imply a hard life of Young-Chae. So far, ``Moo Jeong`` from the book "Moo Jeong" meant ``negative past`` and was understood in relation to the period before the opening of the civilization. However, ``Moo Jeong`` from the book "Moo Jeong" was directly related to the fact that money has extended its dominance on the society. When Hyung-Sik desperately wanted a thousand won to save Young-Chae saying ``the world where money can buy the human soul, let alone their body`` was the real reason behind ``Moo Jeong``. The places such as Seoul and Pyungyang that were supposedly busy accepting the new civilization and being enlightened were depicted as a place money is exercising its absolute influence over. In that regard, ``Moo Jeong`` is not so much related to the past as much as the time and space of the ``present`` with more influence of the money following the modernization. Therefore, the last part of "Moo Jeong" where it says ``the dark world will not remain dark forever and the negative world will not remain negative forever. we will make it bright, positive, joyful, rich, and strong.`` leaves a room for possibility to be interpreted as the criticism of the modern era rather than aspiration towards the modern era. The teacher of the new civilization in this story is undoubtedly Hyung-Sik Lee. He claims the spot of teacher for his pursuance of the modern era. The figure who creates ``Moo Jeong`` that is presented to be overcome at all cost is also Hyung-Sik Lee. All in all, Gwang-Soo Lee`s "Moo Jeong" introduces an important task of ``criticizing Hyung-Sik Lee``. Lastly, The positive world to come after the negative world in Gwang-Soo Lee`s "Moo Jeong" is ultimately time and space in the imaginary prior to the symbolic.

Objectives : This study was conducted to reveal the health effects of aircraft noise on the residents live near the military airport. Methods : We sampled systematically 87 residents as the high exposed group, 58 residents as the low exposed group according to the geographical distance from the airport. We also sampled 67 residents as the control group lived far from the airport. Noise levels were measured for conform the exposures. Self-administered questionnaires for symptoms, air conduction hearing threshold level, blood pressure blood cholesterol with health examinations, and SCL-90-R were introduced to get the data from the residents. Results : The Ld/n at the area near the airport was 72.4 dB, however that of control area was 67.7 dB. The value of pure tone average, high pure tone average, and threshold of 4,000 Hz were decreased with exposure level significantly. Linear regression analysis showed that the noise exposure level of the airport was related to the hearing threshold at pure tone average, threshold of 4,000 Hz, and high pure tone average. The systemic and diastolic blood pressure showed dose-response relationship with noise exposure. The prevalence of hypertension was higher in exposed group, but not statistically significant. In linear regression, noise level was related to systolic and diastolic blood pressure with other variables such as age, sex, BMI(Body Mass Index), and family history of hypertension. SCL-90-R showed that exposed group had higher score significantly in neurotic and psychologic variable and felt the various somatic symptoms. Conclusions : These results suggest that aircraft noise would influence hearing loss at low frequencies as well as 4,000 Hz and higher frequencies, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and psychological response.

산업보건관리자를 위한 소음성 난청 예방지침서의 개발

Occupational hearing loss became the leading occupational disease by constioution 56% of all work-related diseases in Korea. However, the prevalance rates showed wide variations among the specific medical examination providers and were very low(0.8-1.4%) compared with those 8.4% in Japan. The sources of these variations was regarded in the preview study as 1) Employee audometric estings were primarily conducted by nurses and nurse-aids who had no formal training for audiometry; 2) althought audiometric testing equipment used by the spedific medical examination providers, it should be periodically calibrated, a significant number of them were not properly calibrated : 3) Initial audiometric testings were conducted at any available spaces in workplace or at the testing room without considering bachground noise level. One of solutions that can be done for sloving surrent noise related problems is to provide a noise related manual for the occupational health managers including doctors, nurses and hyginests. This study was done to provide such a manual. The main core of the manual was hearing conservation program. And the contents of the manual was the same as the main frame of hearing conservation program such as noise survey, provided of the diagram showing the core contents of each factor of the hearing conservation program. Hopefully, this manual will be the references of the standardized performances of the specific medical examination providers.

기종성 신우신염 1례

기종성 신우신염은 주로 당뇨병환자나 폐쇄성 요로질환을 가진 환자에 발생하며 특징적으로 신실질 및 그 주위조직에 가스를 형성하면서 심한 조직괴사를 일으키는 매우 드문 급성 화농성 신감염으로 사망률이 높은 질환이다. 이 질환은 1989년 Kelly와 MacCallum에 의해 처음 보고된 이래 외국문헌에 약 90례 정도가 보고되어 있으며 국내에는 28례가 보고되어 있다. 수액 및 전해질 보충, 인슐린 투여를 통한 적절한 혈당조절 및 항생제 투여등의 내과적 치료와 절개배농 및 신적출술등의 수술적 치료 방법이 있다. 내과적 치료로 가스의 감소가 없는 경우에는 즉각적인 수술적 치료를 시행하여야하므로 이 가스변화에 대한 추적관찰이 중요하다 하겠다. 본 저자들은 당뇨병환자에서 발생한 기종성 신우신염 1례를 내과적 요법을 치험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다. Emphysematous pyelonephritis is rare, life-threatening infection of the renal parenchyma and perirenal tisseue. This disease is characterized by the production of intrarenal and perirenal gas and is frequently encountered in patients with diabetes mellitus or urinary obstruction. We experienced a case of emphysematouse pyelonephritis in a 62 years old women with poorly controlled diabetes mellitus who had been managed with medical theraphy. So we report this case with a review of the referenced literatures.

심인성 어지럼증 환자의 정신과적 증상에 관한 연구

연구목적 : 어지럼증을 호소하는 환자들 중에 심인성 어지럼증 환자가 상당수 있다는 것은 알려져 있고, 이러한 심인성 어지럼증과 동반되는 정신질환으로는 불안장애, 우울장애, 인격장애 등이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 심인성 어지럼증 환자들의 빈도와 정신과적 증상을 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 어지럼증 환자들에게 평형검사, 자세운동측정검사, 자세변화검사, caloric testing을 시행하여 심인성, 말초성 및 중추성의 3군으로 분류한 후 각각 14명, 16명, 32명을 대상으로 하였다. 대상환자들에게 한국판 Beck 우울척도검사(K-BDI), Spielberg의 상태-특성 불안검사(STAI). 간이정신진단검사(SCL-90-R)를 이용하여 정신과적 증상을 측정하여 이들 세 군을 비교분석하였다. 결 과 : 1) 심인성 어지럼증을 가진 환자는 어지럼증을 나타내는 환자 총 62명중에서 14명으로 22.6%를 차지하였다. 2) K-BDI에 따른 세 군간의 비교에서는 세 군간에 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 3) STAI에 따른 세 군간의 비교에서 상태불안(STAI-S) 및 특성불안(STAI-T) 모두에서 세 군간에 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 4) SCL-90-R에 따른 세 군간의 비교에서는 9개의 척도 중에서 공포불안척도에서만 중추성 어지럼증군이 47.56±6.90, 말초성 어지럼증 군이 53.50±13.74, 심인성 어지럼증 군이 58.50±16.05로 심인성 어지럼증 환자군이 중추성 어지럼증 환자군에 비하여 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 5) 통증 증상에 있어서는 세 군간에 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았고, 위장관 증상과 성기능 장애 증상은 중추성과 말초성 어지럼증 군이 심인성 어지럼증 군에 비하여 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 결 론 : 상기 결과를 토대로 했을 때 어지럼증 환자들에 대한 정신과적 접근을 위하여 각 군을 나누는 것은 별 의미가 없으며 어지럼증 환자들의 어지럼증 자체에 대한 직접적이고 집중적인 치료가 더욱 필요할 것으로 생각된다. Objectives : This study was aimed to investigate psychiatric symptoms in patients with psychogenic dizziness and compare these findings with those of patients with central and peripheral dizziness. Methods : A total of 62 patients with dizziness was the subject of investigation, and patients were classified into 32 with central type, 16 with peripheral type, and 14 with psychogenic type. Korean standardized Beck Depression Inventory(K-BDI), State and Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI), and Korean standardized edition of Symptom Checklist 90 Revised(SCL-90-R) were used for the assessment. Statistically, Pearson's chi-square test and one-way ANOVA with Scheffe's test were used with SPSS/PC for windows 6.0. Results : The results were as follows : 1) The proportion of psychogenic dizziness was 22.6% of the total subjects. 2) Total scores of K-BDI were not significantly different among the 3 groups. 3) Total scores of state anxiety and trait anxiety were not significantly different among the 3 groups. 4) In SCL-90-R, psychogenic dizziness group showed significantly higher score of phobic anxiety only(p<0.01) than central dizziness group. And others were not significantly different among the 3 groups. 5) In additional somatic symptoms, pain score was not different among the 3 groups, but gastrointestinal and sexual symptoms scores of central and peripheral dizziness group were significantly higher than those of psychogenic dizziness group(p<0.01). Conclusion : These results suggest that psychiatric symptoms in patients with psychogenic dizziness are not different from those of patients with central or peripheral dizziness. Therefore, the more direct and intensive treatment may be necessary regardless of the type of dizziness.

봉독약침이 류마티스 관절염 환자의 기능회복 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

Objective: To evaluate the effects of bee venom acupuncture(BVA) on the rehabilitation and quality of life in rheumatoid arthritis(RA) patients Methods: Patients with RA were treated with the BVA therapy twice a week for 3 months. Tender joint counts, swollen joint counts, morning stiffness, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate(ESR), C-reactive protein(CRP), patient global assessment, physician global assessment, Korean health assessment questionnaire(KHAQ) were estimated and analyzed before and after BVA therapy. Results: Tender joint counts, swollen joint counts, morning stiffness showed significant decrease after BVA therapy. But, as acute inflammatory reactants, ESR showed no significant difference and CRP showed significant increase after BVA therapy. Patient global assessment physician global assessment, and KHAQ index showed significant improvement after BVA therapy. Conclusions: BVA therapy can improve rehabilitation and health-related quality of life RA patients as well as clinical symptom and signs. Further study is required in more population with large scale including acute inflammatory reaction of BVA therapy.

급성백혈병의 화학요법에서 조혈간세포 보충요법

1. 목적 급성백혈병의 화학요법에 있어서 관해유도 요법시에 보다 더 강력한 항암화학요법을 시행하고 골수억제의 회복을 위하여 말초혈액에서 채취한 조혈모세포의 투여로 그 효과를 증대시키고자 시도하였다. 2. 방법 관해유도 화학요법후에 골수억제시기로부터 회복단계로서 백혈구감소증이 호전도면서 단핵세포가 증가될 때에 말초혈액에서 조혈간세포(stem cell)로 인정되고 있는 CD34+세포의 함유량이 1% 이상되는 시기를 찾아내고 그 때부터 평균 4차례의 단핵구를 분리채집을 하여 -74。C에 냉동보관하였다가 제2차 화학요법후에 해동시켜서 정맥주입하였다. 3. 결과 대상 급성백혈병환자는 6명에 23회의 조혈간세포를 함유한 단핵구 채집을 시행하였고 유효한 단핵구의 채집은 4례에서 가능하였고 2례에서는 유효한 채집이 못되었다. 채집효율은 39.0-74.5%로서 평균 49.8%였다. 채집 후에 혈액학적 변화는 혈색소의 약간 감소 (평균 1.34g/dl)와 혈소판의 감소 (평균20.25%)를 나타내었다. 해동 단핵구를 투여할시에 일과성인 불쾌감, 기침, 흉부압박감, 호흡곤란 등이 있었다. 4. 결론 자가골수이식에서 자기말초혈액조혈간세포이식으로 관심이 이행되는 현시점에 자가조혈간세포를 채집하여 수혈하는 기술이 확립되는 기초를 이루었다고 본다. 이번 대상들은 재발된 금성백혈병들에 시행하였으나, 향후에는 초발시에 제일차 관해유도 화학요법 과정에 시도해야할 것으로 생각한다. Object: Peripheral blood stem cells(PBSC) were collected after remission induction chemotherapy and reinfused after intensified chemotherapy in order to increase the chemotherapeutic efficacy. Method: Collection of mononuclear cells (MNC) was started when CD34+ cells above 1% and WBC above 1,000/ul with mononuclear cell percentage above 30%, the collection procedures were done 2-6 time in each patient of total 6 cases. The collected MNCs were stored in - 750C and reinfused after thawing in the water bath at 370C Results: Twenty three collection procedures from the 6 cases of acute leukemia had made effective MNC collection in 4 cases and mean collection efficiency was 49.8%(from 39.0% to 74.5%). Hematological changes after the procedure were mean reduction of hemoglobin 1.34g/dl and mean 20.25% of decreased platelet count. There were noticed transient symptoms of discomfort, coughing, chest tightness and dyspnea in association with the infusion of stored cells. Conclusion: The basic process for the peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT) was accomplished with this supportive care for the consolidation chemotherapy of acute leukemia. Effective PBSCT would be warrented with more qualified process and high does chemotherapy. (Korean J Blood Transfus 6(2) : 41~47,1995)

Diatomaceous earth를 이용한 경제적이고 효율높은 homemade PCR purification column의 제조 및 평가

In recent years the amount of sequencing has increased tremendously, especially due to the introduction of automated DNA sequencing. PCR is principal method for the synthesis of templates for DNA sequencing. Consequently, the need for PCR cleanup for template preparation has increased. Already, many PCR purification kits are marketed. This DNA purification kits uses most glass membrane or silica gel, So, can do rapidly efficient purification by simple miniprep. But, efficiency of purification kits is different according to manufacturer and is very expensive. Therefore, we compare the homemade Diatomaceous earth column with major manufacturer's spin column methods for DNA purification. As a result, we found that the homemade Diatomaceous earth column method resulted in equal or better yields relative to the commercial purification kits.

봉독약침이 류마티스 관절염 환자의 관절 통증, 종창 및 급성 염증 반응에 미치는 영향

Objective In order to study the effects of bee venom(BV) on the pain, edema, and acute inflammatory reactant of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) patients. Methods Patients with RA who met the ACR(American College of Rheumatology) 1987 revised criteria for the diagnosis of RA were treated with the BV therapy twice a week for 3 months. Tender Joint counts, swollen joint counts, Visual analog scale(VAS), morning stiffness, ESR. C-reactive protein(CRP) were analyzed before and after BV therapy. Results The results as follows. 1. Tender joint counts in patients after BV therapy were significantly lower than those before BV therapy(9.0±7.9 vs 15± 11.4, p=0.002). 2. Swollen joint counts of the patients after BV therapy were significantly lower than those before BV therapy(50±61 vs 15±23, p=0.001). 3. VAS in patients after BV therapy was significantly lower than those before BV therapy(608± 17.6 vs 380± 159, p=0.000). 4. Duration of morning stiffness in patients after BV therapy was significantly reduced compared with that before BV therapy(119.1± 112.6 min vs 59.0±89.7 min, p=0.009). 5. ESR and CRP were not significantly changed before and after BV therapy, suggesting BV itself could make inflammatory reaction as well as therapeutic effect. Conclusions BV therapy improved tender joint counts, swollen joint counts and duration of morning stiffness in this study, and further study is needed on long-term effect of BV therapy.
