We have been developed improved stow net and operated with it in the field. In order to study on the efficiency of otter sail of the improved stow net, we made a model experiment in a circular water tank. The findings are as follows. 1.In proportion to increase water velocity, the height of canvas o.s get lower, the decided fromula is obtained as h(%) = 77.7v-0.087 2.Resistance of otter sail is higher than board type. The hydrodynamic pressure is not perpendicular to the o.s, but inclination backward. 3.The decided formula of developing force, and resistance of otter sail is obtained as table 3. 4.Developing force is 15 to 25% of all resistance of fishing gear, resistance of otter sail is 12-18% and hydrodynamic efficiency is about 1.35. 5.Center of hydrodynamic pressure is 0.38 from the fore edge of otter sail and it may use Helmholtz's formula as it is. 6.The most effective angle of attack is about 26˚, the shearing coefficient at the time is 0.7 and the drag coefficient is 0.5. 7.To increase or decrease the buoyancy and weight of otter sail have not influenced distinctly. 8.Aspect ratio is the most effective in 2.5. 9.The joining position of fore bridles have not influenced on the efficiency of otter sail.
Bacillus subtilis SS103으로 제조한 된장의 품질 특성 및 Angiotensin 전환효소 저해 활성

Three different doengjang(fermented soybean paste) were prepared by using B. subtilis SS103 with high angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activity, Asp. oryzae and mixed culture of two organisms, respectively. Quality characteristics and the inhibitory activity were compared. β-Amylase activity rapidly increased during 30 days of fermentation, but lower activity was found in doenjang prepared with B. subtilis. However, α-Galactosidase activity decreased for 15 days of fermentation and little activity was observed after that fermentation period. Protease production tended to increase during the fermentation. High protease activity was found only in doengjang prepared with Asp. oryzae, but the doengjang prepared with B. subtilis SS103 showed very low activity. Total isoflavone content at 90 day fermentation was the highest in doengjang prepared with mixture of Asp. oryzae and B. subtilis. ACE inhibitory activity increased during the fermentation period. The highest activity was found in doengjang made with mixture of Asp. oryzae and B. subtilis. Sensory evaluation on doengjang itself and its soup indicated that doengjang made with mixture of Asp. oryzae and B. subtilis showed higher acceptability on taste, flavor and color than those prepared with only Asp. oryzae or B. subtilis, respectively.

The purpose of this study was to develop methods for foodservice employees to perform by measuring their levels of sanitation and hygiene practices. The employees' sanitation and hygiene competency list for school foodservice was developed on the basis of the job standardization. The competency list was divided into three parts; (1) before starting the work, (2) during the work and (3) after the work. The levels of the employees' sanitation and hygiene practices were evaluated by dietitians and by the employees themselves. Most schools had conventional foodservice systems (83.4%), which were operated by contract management (94.8%). It was found that the highest practice level related to sanitation and hygiene before starting work, with the lowest levels observed after work. The item related to the cleaning and sanitizing of dishes had the lowest practice level score. Employees perceived their sanitation and hygiene practice after work to be worse than before starting and during work. The items of "Clean and sanitize all large stationary equipment after every use, and record equipment monitoring chart" and "Do not clean dishes and utensils in production area" had the lowest scores by employees. The scores of the employees were similar to the perception of the dietitians.
재료에 따른 알루미나 내화물 Matrix의 소결특성과 고온 Bending에 미치는 영향

The results of test by adjusting various raw materials and composition conditions for the evaluation of the bending characteristics of AluminaUmullite refractories are as the follows. 1) We have confirmed that the sintering was carried out relatively well even at the temperature of 1550℃ and composition reaction of mullite was well accomplished when we used Kaolin and Clay as the raw materials of matrix but the sintehng temperature must have been over 1650℃ when we used fine powder of silica and silica fume. 2) Matrix specimen that has used silica as raw matehal was poor in sintering at the temperature less than 1650℃ and composition reaction of mullite was also indicated as low and mullite composition was not generated at the temperature of 1450 ℃. Silica fume with relatively more fine powder showed similar feature but the level of sintehng and mullite was higher. 3) We could confirm, through the results of measuring the bending characteristics of alumina-mullite refractohes at high temperature by differentiating raw materials and supplies of the usage of matrix, that fine powder of silica used as raw materials and supplies showed good characteristics of bending at high temperature and we believe this is because high temperature liquefied materials generated by the impact of impurities contained in raw materials and supplies are greatly affecting the high temperature bending.

The Binary Scheduling Wheel(BSW) algorithm was proposed to carry on manage buffer efficiently at implementing of WRR scheduler. But, BSW algorithm cause serous performance degradation of cell delay and maximum queue length because it allocates more weight than the weight allocated actually in VC and could not serve cell if the VC queue is empty. In this paper, we propose new BSW of the old BSW structure. Also, we develop a cell scheduling algorithm which is suitable for the new BSW structure. The proposed BSW structure and the developed algorithm are capable of maintaining the allocated weight of each VC correctly, and decrease average cell delay and average buffer length by serving other VC cell when the selected VC queue is empty, and increase cell service ratio as a whole. The evaluation results show that the proposed structure can implement WRR algorithm more efficiently than the old BSW.
졸-겔법으로 합성된 폴리이미드/실리카 복합체의 환경적 물성에 관한 연구

Two types of polyimide/silica composite films were prepared using sol-gel method through hydrolysis and polycondensation of tetraethoxsilane(TEOS) with the polyamic acid(PAA) and end-capped PAA solution. Sample were characterized by the means of differential thermogravimetry, X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, universal test, impedance analyzer, chemical resistance test, etc. All of the PAA/silanol solutions heat-treated at 300℃ for 6h were transformed to polyimide/silica composites. It has been demonstrated that the properties of polyimide/silica composites were affected by the amount of silica addition and the bond type existed between polyimide and silica.
택사추출액이 benzo(a)pyrene에 의해 유도된 간장해에 미치는 영향

The protective and therapeutic effects of Alismae Rhizome extracts depending on solvent polarity on rat liver injury induced by benzo(a)pyrene were investigated. As parameters in serum and liver, alkaline phosphatase, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase and glutamate pyruvate transaminase activities were observed. The results were as follows: B(a)P intoxication significantly increased alkaline phosphatase, transaminase activities of serum and liver compared with normal group. Especially CHCI₃fraction revealed the most powerful liver protective and/or therapeutic effect of 4 extracts in serum transaminase activities and in hepatic alkaline phosphatase and glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, maybe due to presence of alkaloid, triterpenoid and flavonoid in this fraction. Above-mentioned results strongly suggested that Alismae Rhizoma be a promising liver-protective drug. So more study will be needed to find principle hepatotropic Alismatis Rhizoma.

The present study was undertaken to find a protective effect of Coptis Rhizoma Extract on liver injury induced by benzo (a)pyrene in rats. This crude drug significantly suppressed the increase of several biochemical parameters such as transaminase, lactate dehydrogenase and alkaline phosphatase in serum and liver and total cholesterol. But there were little changes in elevated serum phospholipid level. The results suggested that Coptis Rhizoma prevent bezo (a)pyrene-induced hepatic injury.
