Gastric metastasis from breast cancer is rare and only six cases have been reported in Korea. Colon metastasis is more rare than gastric metastasis. We report a 63-year-old woman with gastric and colon metastases of invasive lobular carcinoma of breast. She was diagnosed as right breast cancer, received right modified radical mastectomy 10 years ago and has been treated with chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Investigating for melena and a small caliber of stool, we found gastric and colon metastases. The diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer was made through gross pathologic and immunohistochemistry staining. We report a case with gastric and colon metastases from breast cancer and a review of the associated six case reports in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to analyze that the satiric characters of Kim Ji-Ha's narrative poem are originated from the traditional literature. It is examed by comparing and analyzing the aspects of satire between Gamyunkuk and Kim Ji-Ha's poetry. Satire was one of the useful mode of expression in the Gamyunkuk. It was also useful method to criticize circuitously the existing authority or valuse system and to correct the social abuse. By using the traditional satiric technique in the modern poetry, Kim Ji-Ha took the social concern into literature and used it as the mode of indirect resistance. Through this technique, he made the expanded form of poetry-Damsi and created the new meaning of poetry which is containing the criticizing consciousness.

학습공동체 프로그램 질과 인지적 성취 간에 집단응집성, 협력적 자기조절의 매개효과

[연구목적] 본 연구는 비교과 프로그램 형태의 학습공동체 운영 개선을 위해 학습공동체 프로그램 질 척도를 개발하고, 학습공동체 프로그램의 질과 인지적 성취의 관계에 집단응집성 및 협력적 자기조절의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. [연구방법] 학습공동체 관련 선행연구들과 S대학에서 운영한 학습공동체 만족도 조사 및 성찰일지를 분석하여 학습공동체 프로그램 질 척도 예비문항을 개발하고, 학습공동체에 참여한 대학생 299명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, 분석하였다. 또한 집단응집성 및 협력적 자기조절의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 대학생 322명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, 분석하였다. [연구결과] 학습공동체 프로그램 질 척도는 11개 문항, 단일요인으로 개발하였으며, 탐색적 및 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도 계수 산출을 통해 안정적인 척도임을 확인하였다. 또한 학습공동체 프로그램 질과 인지적 성취 간에 집단응집성 및 협력적 자기조절의 매개효과가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. [연구의 시사점] 본 연구에서 개발한 학습공동체 프로그램 질 척도를 활용함으로써 프로그램의 내실화 및 질 관리 방안을 수립할 수 있다. 또한 집단응집성 및 협력적 자기조절의 중요성을 규명함으로써 학습공동체 프로그램 운영의 시사점을 제공하였다. [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to develop the learning community program quality scale for improving a learning community program and to verify the mediating effect of group cohesion and collaborative self-regulation on the relationship between program quality and cognitive achievement. [Methodology] A questionnaire survey of 299 university students was conducted to develop the learning community program quality scale. To confirm the mediating effect of group cohesion and collaborative self-regulation, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 322 college students. [Findings] The learning community program quality scale was developed with 11 items and a single factor, and it was confirmed to be a stable scale. And, it was found that the mediating effect of group cohesion and collaborative self-regulation between the learning community program quality and cognitive achievement was significant. [Implications] Implications for the management of learning community program to promote group cohesion and collaborative self-regulation were provided.

'집'의 공간 시학과 1920-1930년대 시인들의 상실의식 고찰

The purpose of this thesis, through the spacial character of the home, is to study the consciousness of poets in 1920-1930. Poets written in this thesis are Kim So-Wol(김소월), Baek Sok(백석), Lee Yong-Ak(이용악), Seo Jung-Joo(서정주), Yun Dong-Joo(윤동주). The poems of 1920-1930 frequently show the consciousness of loss for losing the base of life, it is actualized in the absence of the home or the loss of one's old home. By the analyzing poetics of space on the 'hone', we can exactly investigate the poetic consciousness of the those poets. They grope the new area by leaving the home actively, or exhibit the yearning for the past space. Also they indirectly express that the reason of the absence of the home are due to the colonial situation. Focusing on the poetics of space on the 'home', this thesis study the process of poetic speculation-loss and surmount.

식민지 시대 시에 나타난 동경과 구원의 시학

The thesis is to understand the dismal reality of the Japanese colonial rule from the perspective of poets of the times -- Kim Sowol, Lee Sangwha, Bak Seok, Yoon Dongjoo and Shin Sukjung--, and to analyze their efforts to escape from the gloomy reality through poems by studying the aspects of the aspiration for an ideal world and salvation. In his poem <Ummaya-Noonaya>, Kim Sowol embodies a harmonious place during childhood. The word 'riverside' connotes a primitive ideal world where maternity and nature coexist. The poet recognizes the absence of maternity as dismal realities and chaos. He attempts to reorganize an ideal world through maternity. For Lee Sangwha, the absence of fields that symbolize maternity implies the absence of the will to live. The awareness of the crisis caused by the absence of the will to live is portrayed in his poem, which demonstrates an ideal world whee the will is fully materialized. Bak Seok recalls a place where he lived under the protection of his mother during childhood, thereby portraying an ideal place related to the past. For Yoon Dongjoo, his pure self exists only in his hometown North Kando, where his mother lived. He tries to overcome chaos that the self faces in the real world through memories of his mother and the hometown. shin Sukjung pursues an pastoral ideal place isolated from the reality, which he describes as 'the nation far away from here'. He combines the warmth of maternity with the spatial characters of 'the nation' by pursuing to go to the nation while longing to meet mother. The poets in the Japanese colonial rule recognize the reality as a dismal and frustrating place. The aspiration for an ideal world stands in contrast to the reality and connotes dark days of the reality. The aspiration for an ideal world of the poets in the 1920s and 1930s has a point in common; nostalgia for the past, in particular, childhood, and maternity. What the poetic thinking of these poets implies is that in the process, they remind themselves of significant values of the reality that they have lost and maintain critical perspectives on the reality. At the same time, that they imagine an ideal world is a demonstration of their determination to create a better place by recognizing absurdity and irony of the real world. In other words, their aspiration for an ideal place that they are deprived of implies critical perspectives on the reality and the restoration of lost values.

아므르불가사리 (Asterias amurensis)의 배우자를 이용한 남해해역 연안해수의 생물학적 수질평가

This study was carried out to evaluate off-shore water quality and to draw marine pollution map to Southern sea in Korea by bioassay using gametes and early development system of Asterias amurensis. From the bioassay, it was determined that the water qualites of Southern sea maintained the grade Ⅱ, because development of A. amurensis were moderately inhibited. However, Sunchon, Kwangyang, and Jinhae Bay belonged to grade Ⅲ, because development of A. amurensis were strongly inhibited. This could be due to the inflows of several river systems and poor water circulation. The water quality at Yosu island was the grade I, because A. amurensis were not inhibited in its early development.

신규간호사와 프리셉터가 인지하는 프리셉터의 교수효율성 비교

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare preceptors and new graduate nurses on their perception of preceptor teaching effectiveness. Methods: The participants were 90 new nurses and 90 preceptors who worked in A medical center. The data were collected from July 1 to September 30, 2008. A cross-sectional descriptive survey was done using a structured questionnaire. Results: New nurses' perception (4.07±.44) of the preceptor teaching effectiveness was significantly higher than perception of the preceptors (3.57±.37). Fifty five percent of new graduate nurses reported a lack of coherence in the preceptor's practice guidelines. For 5 causal factors classified on the teaching effectiveness, the factor of 'Professional knowledge and ability' showed the highest score, but 'Interpersonal and communication skill' got lowest score for both group. Preceptors responded that they did not have enough time to teach well because of their heavy workloads. Conclusions: These results suggest that the preceptors need appropriate compensation and education opportunities, and new graduate nurses need consistent education by the teaching professionals. Therefore, it is important to give preceptors full charge of the preceptorship. Also, it will be necessary to develop education programs to enhance interpersonal and communication skill for preceptors and new nurses.

Renal cell carcinoma is the third most common neoplasia of the genitourinary tract. Its most common type, representing 60% of the cases, is the clear cell carcinoma, with an incidence peak between 50 and 70 years. Metastases are present at the time of diagnosis in approximately 30% of the patients, the major sites being lungs, bones, skin, liver, and brain. But distant metastasis of malignant neoplasm to the masseter muscle is extremely rare. We report a case of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) metastasizing to the masseter muscle.

개에서 발생한 폐수종의 치료 증례

A 9 months intact male American bull dog with chief complaints of dry cough, dyspnea and fever was referred to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chungnam National University. Based on the findings of physical examination, radiological examination, and blood and blood chemical examinations, the present patient was diagnosed into pulmonary edema secondary to primary bacterial and aspiration pneumonia. The patient was hospitalized and treated with buscopan, cephazolin and furosemide for 1 week. His activity and appetite was returned to normal and thoracic radiographs revealed that Jung was recovered to the normal condition after treatment for 7 days. The present patient was a case with pulmonary edema showed favorable therapeutic responses to proper medication.
