이지연,김용수,김진섭,박진현,최윤희,전덕훈,김경 대구대학교 특수교육재활과학연구소 2010 再活科學硏究 Vol.28 No.1
The purpose of this article was to study the effect of the exercise programme that uses the unstable supporting surface to rehabilitate cerebrovascular patients on balance ability and exercise function ability. The therapy is being clinically used for the patients with diverse pathological factors such as hemiplegia caused by CVA, sports injury, and diseases in the elderly. when most patients with CVA are treated in the hospital or institute that can provide rehabilitation training, they need to be given the way to adjust more stable surpporting surface by being provide with various stages of surface. However, the actual therapeutic exercises is still needed and the study for objective assessments wants conducting. To solve these problems, the study of unstable surface exercise programmes based on the evidences recently need to be made for the patients with CVA. in this study, we intend to look into what effects on the balance improvement and the exercise function are different from the experimental group to the control group with the same programme applied to the two groups.

Objective_Due to an unprecedented rate of population aging, South Korea is facing a dementia epidemic. For this reason, the Korean Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Aging and Dementia (KLOSCAD) was launched in 2009 with support from the Korean Health Industry Development Institute to investigate the epidemiology, biopsychosocial risk factors, and outcomes of dementia and dementia-related conditions. Methods_The KLOSCAD is the first nationwide multi-center population-based prospective cohort study. In October 2010, 12,694 individuals were randomly sampled from residents aged 60 years or older who lived in 13 districts across South Korea. In the baseline assessment, which was conducted from November 2010 through October 2012, 6,818 (53.7%) individuals participated. Follow-up assessments have been conducted every two years, with the first follow-up assessment conducted between November 2012 and October 2014, and the second between November 2014 and October 2016. The third is now in progress, and will span from November 2016 to October 2018. Diagnosis of cognitive disorders, neuropsychological battery, behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, activities of daily living, physical and neurologic examination and laboratory tests, life styles, quality of life, and identification of death were evaluated in each assessment. Results_The cumulative drop-out rate at the second follow-up assessment was 38.7%. Dementia and mild cognitive impairment were 5.0% and 27.0%, respectively. Conclusion_The KLOSCAD may provide strong scientific evidence for advancing the fight against dementia both in Korea and globally.

The endodermal sinus tumor is a rare but highly malignant germ cell tumor in both gonadal and extragonadal tissues. Endodermal sinus tumors occur in patients with children and young adult. In 1939, Schiller described a group of ovarian tumors for which he proposed a mesonephric origin. In 1946, Teilum noted this tumor resembled the endodermal sinuses of Duval in the yolk sac of the rat placenta and termed this entity ``endodermal sinus tumor``. The endodermal sinus tumor is unilateral in 100% of cases, but also less frequently seen in combination with other forms of germ cell tumor, including dysgerminoma, immature teratoma, choriocarcinoma, and embryonal carcinoma. In this report, a case of endodermal sinus tumor in combination with mature cystic teratoma is presented with a review of the literatures briefly.

<P>The aim of this study was to evaluate whether the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in murine models resembles tumor progression in humans, using non-invasive molecular imaging methods. Murine HCC models were generated by treating mice with diethylnitrosamine (DEN) or by the transgenic expression of hepatitis B virus X (HBx) protein (HBx-Tg model). Tumor development was detected using F-18-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose (F-18-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The histopathological changes and expression of glucose transporter 1 (Glut1) and hexokinase 2 (HK2) were evaluated using hematoxylin and eosin and immunohistochemical staining, respectively. Tumor lesions as small as 1 mm in diameter were detected by MRI. Tumor development was monitored using F-18-FDG PET/CT at 6.5-10 months after DEN treatment or 11-20 months after birth of the HBx-Tg model mice. A correlation study between the F-18-FDG uptake levels and expression levels of HK2 and Glut1 in developed HCC showed a high F-18-FDG uptake in poorly differentiated HCCs that expressed high levels of HK2, in contrast to that in well-differentiated tumors. The progression of primary HCCs resembling human HCC in murine models was detected and monitored by F-18-FDG PET/CT. The correlation between tumor size and SUVmax was verified in the two HCC models. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to demonstrate that in vivo(18)F-FDG uptake varies in HCCs according to differentiation grade in a preclinical study.</P>

( Ji Sun Park ),( Kyoung-hee Han ),( Gi Soon Park ),( Ji Young Lee ),( San-hui Lee ) 대한산부인과학회 2019 대한산부인과학회 학술대회 Vol.105 No.-
Background: Although laparoscopic surgery has multiple superiority to laparotomy, upper abdominal pain and shoulder pain has newly developed after performing laparoscopy. To control the respiratory variance occurred by pneumoperitoneum effectively during laparoscopy, traditionally general anesthesia was performed. However, general anesthesia has several disadvantages; damage on airway due to intubation, postoperative nausea/vomiting (PONV), slow recovery compared to spinal anesthesia. Several previous studies proved the safety and usefulness of spinal anesthesia in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. As previous studies are limited to the general surgery field and research on the gynecological field is lacking. Methods: This study was conducted at Wonju Severance Christian Hospital from September 2018 to May 2019. Total 11 patients were enrolled prospectively and underwent SPA laparoscopic adnexal surgery under spinal anesthesia. The intensity of postoperative pain by visual analogue scale score (VAS) and the intensity of PONV by emesis score (0-3) at 0, 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 hours after surgery was checked. Results: No case was converted to general anesthesia. The median long axis of ovarian cyst was 5cm (range, 3-7cm), and median total operation time was 38 minutes (range, 22-54min). 4 patients showed hypotension during operation, but all patients were well controlled with ephedrine 40mg intravenous injection. No patients complained pain nor nausea during operation. Postoperative pain checked 0, 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 hours after operation was 0(0), 3(2.5), 4.2(3.0), 3.1(2.9), 2.5(1.9), 1.7(2.2), and emesis score checked 0, 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 hours after operation was 0.1(0.3), 0(0), 0.2(0.6), 0(0), 0(0), 0.3(0.9). No postoperative complication was noted. Conclusions: Performing SPA laparoscopic adnexal surgery under spinal anesthesia is feasible. We are performing prospective study comparing spinal anesthesia and general anesthesia for SPA laparoscopic adnexal surgery.

Our previous study demonstrated that methanolic extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herbich var. latilobum Kitamura (Compositae) has the potential to induce detoxifying enzymes such as NAD(P)H:(quinone acceptor) oxidoreductase 1 (EC 1.6.99.2) (NQO1, QR) and glutathione S-transferase (GST). In this study we further fractionated methanolic extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii and investigated the detoxifying enzyme-inducing potential of each fraction. The fraction (CZ-6) shown the highest QR-inducing activity was found to contain (+)-(3S,4S,5R,8S)-(E)-8-acetoxy-4-hydroxy-3-isovaleroyloxy-2-(hexa-2,4-diynyliden)-1,6-dioxaspiro [4,5] decane and increased QR enzyme activity in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, CZ-6 fraction caused a dose-dependent enhancement of luciferase activity in HepG2-C8 cells generated by stably transfecting antioxidant response element-luciferase gene construct, suggesting that it induces antioxidant/detoxifying enzymes through antioxidant response element (ARE)-mediated transcriptional activation of the relevant genes. Although CZ-6 fraction failed to induce hepatic QR in mice over the control, it restored QR activity suppressed by CCl₄ treatment to the control level. Hepatic injury induced by CCl₄ was also slightly protected by pretreatment with CZ-6. In conclusion, although CZ-6 fractionated from methanolic extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii did not cause a significant QR induction in mice organs such as liver, kidney, and stomach, it showed protective effect from liver damage caused by CCl₄.
