TALP-35 purified from human term placenta is known to increase microtubule polymerization and stabilize the polymerized microtubule. To examine the effect of TALP-35 on immune system this study was performed. MTT assay was performed to investigate the effect of TALP-35 on the proliferation of RAW264.7 cells. TALP-35 dose dependently suppress the proliferation of RAW264.7 cells at high concentration (above 1 μM) in unstimulated cells, in case of 10 μM TALP-35 treated cells the suppression was 25% but in stimulated cells it was only 15%. Cosedimentation assay was carried out to investigate whether TALP-35 can bind to tubulin of RAW264.7, monocyte/macrophage lineage of mouse, and polymerize it. TALP-35 polymerize the tubulin of RAW264.7 cells and sedimented in dose-dependent manner. To investigate the effect of TALP-35 on the expression of iNOS protein western blotting was performed. The expression level of iNOS was decreased dose dependently in high concentration of TALP-35 treatment. To examine the activity of iNOS, secreted NO was determined by method based on Griess reaction. Interferon-γ and LPS-stimulated production of NO from RAW264.7 cells was decreased dose dependently above 0.1 μM concentration of TALP-35 and 50% is decreased at 10μM of it. This study shows TALP-35 can control cytokine induced-iNOS expression therefore it might control inflammatory diseases.

Effect of Ionizing Radiation on Rat Tissue: Proteomic and Biochemical Analysis

<P>Reactive oxygen species (ROS), generated by ionizing radiation, has been implicated in its effect on living tissues. We confirmed the changes in the oxidative stress markers upon irradiation. We characterized the changes in the proteome profile in rat liver after administering irradiation, and the affected proteins were identified by MALDI-TOF-MS and ESI-MS/MS. The identified proteins represent diverse sets of proteins participating in the cellular metabolism. Our results demonstrated that proteomics analysis is a useful method for characterization of a global proteome change caused by ionizing radiation to unravel the molecular mechanisms involved in the cellular responses to ionizing radiation.</P>

Antiadhesive effect and safety of oxidized regenerated cellulose after thyroidectomy

Purpose: To evaluate the antiadhesive effects and safety of an oxidized regenerated cellulose (Interceed) after thyroidectomy. Methods: Seventy-six thyroidectomized patients were prospectively randomized into two groups with regard to the use of Interceed. We evaluated each group for their adhesive symptoms using four subjective and four objective items at the 2nd week, 3rd and 6th month after thyroidectomy. All patients were examined for vocal cord motility by indirect laryngoscope at each period. Results: Total adhesion scores at each postoperative follow-up period decreased with time, but were not significantly different in each group. The median score for swallowing discomfort for liquid was significantly lower in the Interceed group than in the control group 2 weeks after surgery. In addition, the severity of skin adhesion to the trachea was reduced in the Interceed group compared with the control group 6 months after surgery. During the study, there were no adverse effects or significant differences in postoperative complications between the groups. Conclusion: Interceed appeared to be safe and effective in improving neck discomfort at early postoperative periods and preventing skin adhesion to the trachea 6 months after thyroidectomy.

후두적출자의 의사소통 태도

본 연구는 후두적출자의 주된 발성방법과 후두적출 경과 시기에 따른 의사소통 태도를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 성인 남자 55명으로 후두암으로 인한 후두적출자들로 구성되었다. 이들에게 실시한 의사소통 태도 설문지는 Erickson의 의사소통 태도 척도-수정판(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes: S-24)을 본 연구에 맞게 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 주된 발성방법에 따라서는 인공후두기 사용자와 식도발성자간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 후두적출 경과 시기에 따라 10년 초과된 후두적출자들과 10년 이하의 후두 적출자들 간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 이들의 의사소통 태도의 긍정적 태도를 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 방법을 활용하고 습득하여 이들의 의사소통 능력을 빠르게 재습득 하여 긍정적인 의사소통 능력을 가질 수 있도록 해야 한다. The purpose of this study was to determine laryngectomee's communication attitude. 55 laryngectomees, who were in the range of 40 years old to 80 years old participated in the study. Communication attitude measurements were taken by S-24(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes). The results showed as follows: First, score of laryngectomees with artificial larynx and esophageal speakers were no significant. Second, score of laryngectomees with over 10 years after latyngectomy and 10 years after latyngectomy were no significant.

승강대 운동이 비만고등학생의 혈청 지질 및 아포지단백 대사에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 12 wks before and after step test of obsese student in D high school in Pusan city, exercise group(7) performed 12 wks step test and control group(7), before and after subjects performed the maximal exercise thest on treadmile's 12 wks step test. Through the comparision and analysis of change serum lipids and apolipoprotein metabolism, the results of this study were as follows. 1.In 12 wks before and after step test at the rest time, exercise group was found to have a increase In TC(12.7%), TG(9.76%), LDL-C(13.8%) and to have a significant increase in HDL-C(11.3%), FFA(96.8%). 2.At the rest, the control group was found to have a little increase in TG(9.2%) and HDL-C(6.7%), and to have a significant increase in TC(9.2%), LDL-C(8.9%) and FFA(7.5%). 3.In 12 wks before and after step test at the maximal exercise, the exercise group was found to have a significant increase in TC(5.6%), HDL-C(20.2%) and FFA(54.3). 4.At the maximal exercise, were found to have a significant increase in TC(9.7%) and LDL-C(9.9%) in the control group. 5.In 12 wks before and after step test at the maximal exercise, the exercise group was found to have a significant increase in Apo A-I(8.0%). 6.Statistically, At the maximal exercise, were found to have a significant increase in Apo B(7.8%).

초등학생의 1000m 달리기-걷기 평가방법에 관한 연구

This research aims to develop a new evuluation method of endurance for elementary school students. The norm of the event of 1,000m running-walking was examined and reviewed. As a result, a new highly-valid norm for the present 1,000m running-walking was made. Among the 5th and 6th graders, 2,144 pupils were chosen. The subjects were given 1,000m running-walking and step test. The new norm led to the following results: 1. The frequency distribution of PEI according to Cajori's 5-stage evaluation method turned out to be normal for both 5th and 6th graders. In conclusion, this new norm of 1,000m running-walking is believed to provide more valid and credible scores for elementary school students. The 1,000m running-walking records and the PEI will be used as the basic data for foretelling one's endurance.

Analysis of Genetic Diversity of Korean Wheat Cultivars Using Microsatellite DNA Polymorphisms

Genetic background and phylogenetic relationships among 20 Korean wheat cultivars were assessed using microsatellites after amplifying with 13 SSR primer pairs. Average allele number per primer pair was 3.36. Genetic similarities for every pair of cultivars ranged from 0.42 to 0.97, with 0.69 of overall average. Korean cultivars were divided into two major groups based on microsatellite DNA polymorphisms. Group I consisted of relatively old cultivars developed until 1970s, and group II contained the recent cultivars developed during 1980s and 1990s. Amongst old elite cultivars/lines, ‘Yukseung 3’, ‘Norin 12’ and ‘Norin 72’ contributed most to the genetic background of cultivars belonging to group I, and ‘Norin 4’, ‘Norin 12’, ‘Norin 43’ and ‘Norin 72’ to group II, respectively. The phylogenetic relationship of Korean wheat cultivars was in accordance with the genealogical data of each cultivar. The genetic background of each cultivar was assessed from the point of breeding and germplasm management such as variety identification and duplicated accessions for assisting in developing a system for the registration of new variety based on the molecular characterization in future.

장기간의 40분 달리기 운동이 비만학생의 혈청 지질 및 아포지단백 대사에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 12 wks before and after running exercise of obsese student in D high school in Pusan city, exercise group(7) performed 12 wks running exercise and control group(7),before and after subjects performed the maximal exercise thest on treadmile's 12 wks running exercise. Through the comparision and analysis of change serum lipids and apoliporotein metabolism, the results of this study were as follows. 1. In 12 wks before and agter running exercise at the rest time,exercise group was found to have a great decrease in TC(8%),TG(29%),LDL-C(7%) and to have a significant in crease in HDL-C(20%),FFA(74%). 2. At the rest, the control group was found to have a little decrease in TG, HDL-C,LDL-C and to have little changes in TC and FFA. 3. In 12wks before and after running exercise at the maximal exercise, the exercise group was found to have a significant decrease in TC(18%),TG(23) and to have a significant in crease in HDL-C(20%),LDL-(25%),FFA(23%) and TG and HDL-C were found to have a significant change. 4. At the maximal exerxcise , were found to have little change in the control group. 5. Apo A-I in the exercise group was found not to have the change signicantly. but to have anincrease 5% at the rest time, 6% at the maximal exercise. And the control group was almost found not to have change. 6. Statically, Apo B in the exercise group was found not to have a signficant change, but to have the increase 12%at the maximal exercise and the control group was found not to have a change.

에어로빅운동시 심박수를 이용한 소비에너지량 산출에 관한 연구

This study aims to investigate an exercise and to calculate the energy expenditure by the old women in their sixties who take part in the aerobic exercise program of L-Cultural Center in Pusan by using the formula related to their Heart rate and oxygen intake. The conclusion can be obtained from this study as follows: 1. when they do the aerobic exercise, their Heart rate is at 116.8±28.46 beats/min 2. when they do the aerobic exercise, their exercise intensity is at 57.93±21.31%HRmax. 3. when they do the aerobic exercise, their quantity of energy consumpton is at 3.92 Kcal/min, 5758.8 Kcal/day, 3.83MET. 4. there is a high correlation among their Heart rate, respiratory rate, ventilation and other physiological variant factors. Therefore, 50~70%HRmax will be needed in order to improve their sustaining power of whole body. In this respect, judging from their average exercise intensity, they take part in the program of the aerobic exercise in order to improve their ability of an aerobic exercise.

Ein sorgfa¨ltiger Heine-Leser weiß,dass unza¨hlige Bilder um das Esssen und Trinken in seinem Werk zu finden sind. Warum tauchen dort die scheinbar allta¨glich-banalen, unwichtigen Nahrungsbilder so ha¨ufig auf? In welchem Kontext werden sie verwendet? Welche Funktion haben sie a¨berhaupt? Der vorliegende Aufsatz geht diesen Fragen nach, wobei der Blick auf einige wichtige Aspekte beschra¨nkt ist: auf Heines literarische Auseinundersetzung mit der großen Suppenfrage", auf seine Religionskritik, auf seine Satire auf das deutsche Volk und auf seine bunt-lebendigen Erinnerungsbilder aus der Matratzengruft". An einigen Spa¨tgedichten Heines wird gezeigt, dass der Gedanke des Volkshungers, der in der Melodie des rothen Guillotinenmarsches" bereits beim fra¨hen Heine zu finden ist, nachhaltig gewirkt hat. Der Kontrast zwischen Arm und Reich, zwischen den wohlhabenden Ma¨chtigen und den besitzlosen Ohnma¨chtigen, wird durch das konkrete Gegena¨ber der Brotlosen und der Feinschmecker und Schlemmer krass dargestellt. Heines unverleugbare Na¨he zu den Kommunisten trotz seiner Besorgnisse um Kunst und Schonheit erkla¨rt sich auch daraus, dass er das Recht des Volkes zu essen ohne wenn und aber voll anerkennen muss. Heine, der stets gegen die Usurpation des Geistes" Widerstund leisten will, setzt die Nahrungsbilder auch dafa¨r ein, das Christentum als die mit dem Thron verba¨ndete Religion, die an den Volksunterdra¨ckungsmechanismen der Herrschenden teilhat, zu kritisieren. Er spielt Brot, Suppen und Bohnen auf der Erde gegen die schalen fleischlosen Speisen im Himmel aus. Das Judentum kommt ebenfalls nicht heil davon: Durch die Hervorhebung der ja¨dischen Ka¨che wird die Bedeutung der orthodoxen ja¨dischen Religion relativiert. Weder das Christentum noch das Judentum erhalten die Fa¨rsprache des Dichters, wenn sie ohne Toleranz ihre eigene vermeintliche a¨berlegenheit behaupten wollen. Die kulinarischen Beweise des Rabbis und des Franzeskaners tragen la¨cherliche, sogar makabere Za¨ge (Disputazion). Die bunten Bilder um das Essen werden auch zur Charakterisierung der Vo¨ker verwendet. Die typischen Speisen der Deutschen vor allem beweisen sich als effektvolle Mittel zur Satire auf das deutsche Volk, das politsch zura¨ckgeblieben ist. Sie relativieren auch a¨berschwa¨ngliche patriotisch-pathetische Emotionen. Beim spa¨ten Heine bekommen die Nahrungsbilder auch etwas undere Schattierungen. Der todkranke Dichter, dem die elementare Essfunktion versagt blieb, blickt auf die paradiesische Zeit der Vergangenheit zura¨ck, wo die Speisen a¨ la Schlaraffenlund auftauchten. Bis zuletzt ka¨mmert sich der Dichter nicht etwa um die Eintrittskarte zum Himmelreich: Er vermisst lediglich the lost Paradise an earth", die Leckereien in dieser holden Erdenkliche". Somit la¨sst sich feststellen, dass die Nahrungsbilder in Heines Werk ihre Bedeutung und Funktion haben, die keineswegs zu unterscha¨tzen sind. Die nebensa¨chlich aussehenden Bilder um das Essen und Trinken tragen durchaus zur Hauptsache bei: zur Beseitigung des Volkshungers, zur ,Rehabilitation des Korpers, der Sinne, der Materie', zur Aufkla¨rung des deutschen Volkes. Bei der Betrachtung seiner absichtsvoll inszenierten, mit den hohen, erhabenen Bilder des Geistes gepaarten Nahrungsbilder sticht außerdem die heinetypische Kontrastkomik" ins Auge.
